The last of it gone, Cela vanished the bottles wordlessly and stared at herself in the mirror for a good long moment. She caught sight of the little bracelet she wore, a hospital bracelet right along side the pink leather charm bracelet, the first thing she ever got from Copernicus. She picked up the paper bag with her name on it, folded it carefully and placed it in her pocket.

She didn't catch sight of the one solitary tear the dripped down her cheek. And then she was gone, out of the bathroom and into the corridor.

Brant walked in, and he mouthed the word "WoW" as this was his first time ever going into the prefects bathroom. He had his towel over his shoulder and his toiletries bag in his left hand. Brant went to the sink to wash his face before getting ready for a bath.

Miranda hurried up the stairs, wanting to get some respite from all the bustling in the school. Looking up and down the corridor, she said the password and stepped inside the awesome bathroom, hurrying over to a sink, making the water run and splashing her face with coooooooold water.

Sigh.

She didn't even notice Brant nearby, until she looked up in the mirror. Miranda turned around.
"Oh, hey Brant." She smiled. "Feeling more rested now?" She asked and splashed more water on her face.

He heard Bel even before she said hello to him, he made a little cough. and said his hello's "Hey Miranda, How are you" he decided to call her Miranda and not Bel like he usually did becuase he didn't think she felt the same way about him as he did for her. They were still great friends though. He was hoping that she wouldn't pick up on it. "Yeah, I was dead Tired and I had to go into hiding, So many students bugging me. But now the rosters are up its calmed down a bit. Gotta figure out when I'll be holding the practices."

Brant said to her, He loved talking about Quidditch to her. Because she was going though the same thing he was. Maybe thats why he liked her so much. But it wasn't just that though, She was pretty and smart and oh why did he always have to think about her. "How are your classes going?" he asked her as he finished washing his face and he put his face in the hand towel that he had handy. Then he leaned against the wall in a more, Conversation like pose.

With his tarantula back in his pocket, Torin decided that he wanted to head in the Prefects washroom for a bit before heading back down to the Common Room.

He was humming a tune as he opened the door and walked in. Then he spotted Miranda talking to some boy that he had never met before. "Hey, Miranda. How's Captaining going?" Because he hadn't seen her in a bit so he had no idea.

Splash splash.
Ah, water. It was SO awesome.

Her face dripped as she turned to him and smiled, not caring that she was getting her robes wet or how weird she must look right now. "Oh, you know... School and Quidditch." Her smile became flat and she shrugged. But she smiled bigger soon again.

The Huffie chuckled at Brant's explanation. Hiding. Yeah, she knew that feeling. It was really nice having him as a friend, someone who you could confide in with the Quidditch stuff because they would know what you were talking about. She nodded at him. "Well, I'm sure it can only get easier from now on..." She looked at Brant, but hen burst out laughing. Oh, maybe she was tired, but it sounded funny. Easy. Naaaaaah. Why should things be so easy? Miranda loved a challenge.

Classes. Errr. "They are going well... Y'know." They were boring? Well not all of them. "I'm actually finding this years classes alot funner... Well exept for Duskurks, hehe." Yeah, because that man was insane. "How's it going for you?"

And then she heard the door open again, and a humming of a tune, and noticed it was Torin that had just walked in. Water still dripped from her face as she smiled at the boy. "Hey," She greeted with a little finger 'wave'. "Oh, it's going allright, I guess. It's hard having to pick the team...so I'm up here - hiding." Heh! "How are you? How's Mr. Huffie Prefect doing?" At this she smiled more broadly.

Gold listened to him, and a smile lit up her face, when he told her the Romeo bit. "That's cute," she had to agree. She wasn't sure if she could call Dylan her Romeo, though. That would be depressing, considering how bad an end, both Romeo and Juliet came to.

She didn't want that for her love story. Though Brody could want it for Mr. T, if she felt like it.

"I guess it might be love," she admitted, though rather cautiously. "I'll think more over it, later. I just want to concentrate on my homework, now." She gave him a little smile, and picked up her handbag. "See you later, Mr. T! Thanks for trying to help me out, I appreciate that."

She waved to him, then turned round and left the prefects' bathroom. She needed some peace and quiet.

Some time to think.

While Brant was still talking to Bel's he noticed another boy come in, He was wearing Hufflepuff colors and sporting a prefects badge. He instantly knew who he was, but doubted that Torin knew him. Torin, every girls dream. Brant hide a laugh while talking to Bel. "OH, hello there I don't know if you know me but Im Brant DeVaice the Gryffindor Captain." he explained to the older boy.

"And Im guessing that your Torin?, Have heard alot of great things about you" he said while sticking out his hand. Turning his attention back to Bel he said "Yeah, that professor is totally scarry even for a teacher. I mean we had to do the curcio curse that was terrible. and he couldn't be any more Rude. Like common whats he playing at." he said while laughing.

That teacher was beyond scarry more like EVIL!. He noticed Bel getting her robes wet and since he was already near her and his sink was full, He splashed at her playfully just once for he didn't want to get up upset."Classes are ok, I dont mind them. Just really want to play some quidditch its totally different watching the tryouts instead of being in them" he confessed, while still laughing.

He laughed as he watched her. He could really tell that what she was speaking was true. She did look rather tired and stressed. Apparently picking the roster was harder than he had imagined it could be. "Well, you needn't hide from me even though I didn't make the Team." He smiled. It was his fault anyway for being distracted by Brody issues during practice. "I'm doing good. Feeling a lot better now. Trying to catch up on homework."

And then he turned his attention to the boy as he introduced himself. "Hey, I'm -" But apparently this boy already knew his name. Odd. He took the guy's hand and shook it for a moment before letting go again. "What kind of things?" This was news to him.

He smiled at Gold. He was glad that he had managed to help her out a little with Dylan even though she was obviously still confused. But he liked helping her so it was still great. YAY!!

He waved bye to her as she left and a few moments later he followed her out of the washroom. He needed to find Brody...

Miranda crinkled her nose at Torin's response, slightly embarrassed at the situation ans what had come out of her mouth. She hadn't meant for it to sound like she was hiding from...him. But the 'feeling alot better now' made Miranda frown with concern. "Better? Is everything okay?" She asked, looking at him.

Oooh, Brant and Torin had never met before...?
Miranda just stood there and smiled at them both as they- or Brant, introduced them both. Hehe. He heard stuff? Yes, like what? Miranda raised an eyebrow at Brant, curious to hear what he had heard. Hehehehe!

Duskurk... "Yeah, he really is. But maybe it was good that he tried to teach us... I mean, incase we somehow need to defend ourselves... Though he didn't exactly teach us how to do that..." Right. Just taught how to cast the scary spell.

But her thoughts were interrupted by the splash of water she recieved. She laughed and tried splashing him aswell. "Yeah...I really miss trying out actually. " Weird? Not really. "I miss my old captain." Pout.

Brant laughed when both of them asked him what he has heard of Torin. "Nothing really, but I do hear lot of girls talking about you, No matter what house their in" he laughed while giving Torin a wink. "Really though the class wasn't bad but it just gave me a werid feeling ya know." he said talking about the professor.

"I totally miss Jack being the Captain but he did great at the try outs so hes on the team again, My awesome Seeker." still laughing he got splashed by Miranda and he couldn't help but splash water at the two of them. Why not have some fun while in the bathroom. Water ended up being everywhere. Brant was wet and so now were the others.

"So Miranda....." he didn't know how to end that sentence so he made something up on the fly, He wanted to ask her out then and there but didn't know how it would work out. "What are you doing this weekend?" Hopefully this wouldn't sound werid to her.

Awww, her nose crinkle was cute. But he seemed to have embarrassed her. She needn't be thought. Not that he was going to comment on that since she moved on to asking what was wrong. "Yeah, I'm fine now. I just had a bad cold. And then I fell out of a tree and broke my arm and leg." Good times.

He raised his brow at Brant. "Girls? Why?" He shrugged. He didn't really know but most of his friends were girls so that didn't really seem that surprising to him.

And now things had suddenly gotten awkward. Brant was asking her out and seemed to be failing at it. "I think he means to ask you if you will go on a date with him." He smiled at them both cheerfully. He was helping the guy out.

Haha. Yeah, Miranda could agree with that. Not that she had heard said things about Torin, but she could tell he was a popular guy in this school. And why wouldn't he be, he was kind and friendly. Yeah, she had no reason to mention looks, even though that was another part of his popularity. And, he was a great Prefect.

Her worry frown smoothed out as he explained he was okay... But then she raised her eyebrows and gaped at the boy. "You WHAT?" When was this?? "When- How- Sheesh and you managed to try out!" Whoa, this boy had some serious quick healing going on, hehe. "Oh, I hope Masterson didn't see you..." He would have been...not pleased at all.

This weekend? Ummmmmmmmm... She shrugged. "Oh, nothing much I guess. Might head down to Hogsmeade and refill my Chocolate Frog stock. Hehe. How about you?"

The water splashing was totally forgotten by Miranda when she heard the...'translation' given by Torin. She turned to look at Torin, who seemed to be really happy about this? And then at Brant, wondering why he would want to ask her on a date... "Uhm... What?" She turned to the Prefect again. "Nooo..." she said unbelieving, and then turned her head to the Gryffindor Captain. "Are you?"

But why?

And what would she answer him?

Brant was a little taken back on how Torin just asked Miranda the one question that hes been dying to ask for the longest time for him. He was looking at her the whole time, and Brant didn't know what to say so he thought "Why not be honest with her" so his face totally went Red, Why was he blushing . Hes never blushed before. "erm yeah, Miranda I wanted to know if you would go out with me?" he said while looking down.

Whats going to happen now, If she said "NO" he didn't know what he would do. and he would totally feel embarassed. "Its just that your amazing and you get me ya know. your smart and Pretty" he could go on but he noticed her starting to blush, same as him and he waited for her to talk. He looked over to Torin and giving him that "Thanks dude" look, but he wasn't mad at him. Kind of happy that some one had said it.

What was it with girls and looking at him like that? It wasn't like he had died. "Yeah, I climbed a tree in the pathway and the branch broke off so I fell. My girlfriend wasn't happy." He smiled. Brody didn't even know about it at first, but she had called him an idiot. He shrugged as she asked about Masterson. "I don't think so. but then I was knocked out so i dunno."

Awwww. Brant was nervous. He didn't really have experience with girls apparently. He moved back a bit to give them space and gave the boy two thumbs up. He was doing okay so far.

Miranda's gaping closed, and there was a smile trying to appear. Slowly, it won out and she burst out laughing again at the image and Torin's situation. But she covered her mouth and stopped, not wanting to insult the boy. "Oooh, that must've hurt." She made a face, but the big smile was still there. And he had passed out. Oh, man. She guessed breaking half of your bones would do that to you. "Well, I'm glad you are feeling better now." She nodded, sincere.

But...but, but...
She was looking at Brant, who seemed to have gone all shy or something, and then he asked, and Miranda couldn't do much but look and close and open her mouth. And then she narrowed her eyes. Was he joking? And hld on, why was Torin BACKING AWAY, and what was up with those thumbs up?
She was going to kick his butt if he was joking-

Oh, compliments. Miranda's thumb went to her mouth as she started to chew on it, and then she felt her cheeks flush. Oh, not good, NOT GOOOD! EVasive maneuver! RETREAT! But, it was too late.

"Um, I-I don't know... I mean," SHE HAS NEVER IN HER LIFE BEEN ON A DATE! "I'm not sure what...you mean by 'go out with you'..." Like they did in those weird soap operas her mother watched?

Brant was kind of shocked on when Miranda asked what he ment by going out. so he pucked up the courage and just said it right out.

"I was wondering if you would be my girlfriend, you know. We don't have to any thing you dont want to. We can just hang out and play quidditch and such." he said . Brant kind of got the feeling that she was going to say no and he felt a little hurt in his chest.

"Oh what have I gotten myself into, Why couldn't I have not said anything at all and I wouldn't be in this mess right now" he thought to himself.He crossed his fingers hoping that would give him some good luck.

Looking over at Torin, he had the look of respect on his face. Torin had been through this a couple of times, How could he be soo cool, and calm about these things. This was starting to drive Brant Nuts.

He rolled his eyes at her as she tried to cover up her amusement. Mean girl. Finding boys falling and getting hurt amusing wasn't nice at all. She was lucky that he liked her. "Just laugh if you want to, Miranda. No point in holding it in." 'cause she looked ridiculous. "It hurt but I'm used to breaking bones. I've broken my nose twice and then both of my arms last summer." He shrugged. Falling out of the balcony was the most painful thing that had happened to him.

He nodded at Brant and gave him a grin. He was proud because the guy seemed so nervous. Torin didn't really get it though seeing as he had dated quite a few girls already.

Once more, she wrinkled her nose. "Sorry, I didn't mean to laugh at you. I just thought it sounded like you had a good time before...almost falling to your death." Eh, too much? Probably.
She cringed at the many times the boy had hurt himself. It was almost as if he had been in Quidditch matches and gotten injured. "Sheesh." Well he seems to have healed nicely, seeing as how he was able to hold a bat and kick butt last term.


Chew chew CHEW. Her nail became more gnarled as she waited for the explanation. And there it came.
GIRL...FRIEND!? Wha- Oh. Ooooooooooooh. "Oh." She swallowed.

Brant was nice, and really kind. He was her friend who was totally becoming one of her closest because they both knew what the other was going through with this captaincy thing, and he was really easy to talk to. Did she mention Brant was a great guy?

But a boyfriend? Miranda wasn't looking for that right now... or was she? Ugh, she didn't know! Yeah...he wasn't bad looking, at all... Like... Well, he was kind of cute.

She should say no, to not sort of raise the boy's spirits...but this thing... Well maybe it was fun? Who knew. Well maybe Torin, but he wasn't new to all this. "Well..." She finally dropped her hand. "Yes, why not, it sounds like fun." She smiled at Brant and shrugged a little. "We could see how it goes, yeah?" Cus maybe Miranda wouldn't like this 'dating' thing at all. Hehe.

Brant was soo happy, she said that she would give it a go. he looked at her and just said "This is like a trial run, and I think we will have lots of fun!" he said to her while still smiling all he could do right now was smile. he looked over towards Torin and winked again.

"So Miranda did you still want to do something this weekend Maybe we can play some quidditch before we start team practices?" that seemed like a good time, and it wouldn't be weird at all. They both loved to play and why not have their First date on the quidditch Feild. "And maybe I can nick some sandwhiches for later ya know.?" he said intensely.

He was soo happy. He sooo wanted to walk over to her and hug her but he wanted to let her soak things in first. and he wanted to High Five Torin and atleast say thanks.

A trial run! Yes, Miranda liked the sound of that, hehe. Or not...it made this whole thing seem strange. But, she guessed, that's how these things worked. Love business was just plain weird. At the fun' talk, Miranda smiled crookedly and nodded. Yeah, she did think they would have fun, they always had a good time though, right?

Hah, leave it to Quidditch to make Miranda think this would be awesome. "Yeah, that sounds like fun." She nodded, her lips curling up in a smile. A picnick on the Quidditch field sounded nice. "Maybe I can dig up some Butterbeers to wash them down." Hehehe.

Then, Miranda blinked and turned to Torin. Eeeeeeh. Yes, ofcourse he was still in here, she had just temporarily thought he had dissapeared. She turned to Brant again, her face pretty much dry now. "Well, I should go... I need to go get my pratice dates in order." She smiled. The Gryffindor Captain would understand. "Talk to you later, then. Bye Torin!" With a little finger wiggle-wave sort of thing, she walked off towards the door, heading somewhere to think about what she had just agreed to.

He was still standing there, watching Brant and Miranda as they talked. Aww. They were so cute! They both seemed nervous or something. But he was doing a good job with her seeing as she hadn't rejected him.

"Later, Miranda!" he added as he saw the Captain go to leave suddenly. He gave her a small wave.

Sarah entered the Prefect's bathroom, having finally located it on the fifth floor.With all the extra work that this term had brought so far she hadn't had time to use it before.Plus the fact she hadn't known where it was.Unfortunately it was up six flights of moving stairs from her common room.And Sarah hated stairs.Seriously this place needs to invest in some lifts, she thought to herself as she came to a halt just inside the door.

"OH...MY...GOD." Sarah's mouth dropped open as she took in her surroundings.It was the most beautiful bathroom she had ever seen in her life...And it was just for their use.No bratty first years were getting their mitts on the Prefect/Captains soap and toilet paper.No sir.

Grinning like a cheshire cat, Sarah made her way over to one of the sinks and gazed at her reflection in the mirror above.She groaned as she tried to smooth out the bags that were starting to form with the dark circles under her eyes.Homework, lessons and Prefect duties had made her somewhat tired. "Maybe I'll be used to it by the end of term...." she mused, turning on one of the flashy taps and filling the sink with cold and refreshing water.Leaning forward she pulled her hair back into a tight ponytail and plunged her face into the water, hoping it would wake her up a little.

And it looked like there was someone else taking their first trip to the washroom. He turned to look at Sarah as she went over to the sink and started washing up in it. "I know. Isn't this the best washroom you've ever been in?" He couldn't go back to the normal student ones after this.

Having held her breath under the water for what felt like ages, Sarah came up gasping.Hearing a voice, she turned her head and noticed Torin stood to the side.Smiling, she nodded, while wiping her dripping chin on the corner of her robes."Sorry, I didn't see you there before.And yeah, this place is....like, WOW," she agreed, strolling over to pick up a lovely towel from a pile to dry her face in.Dabbing it gently, Sarah pulled her hair out from it's ponytail and shook her head to fluff it back up again. "Do you reckon we could stay Prefects forever? Just so we could use this bathroom? It's like 10 times better than the one I have at home..." It was a thought.One that would never happen, though.
