Muggle Studies 2 Professor Lawson walked around the classroom straightening up the chairs and desks and placing a text book on each desk. The room was decorated with posters and paraphernalia of past Muggle Olympic Games. Happy that everything seemed to be in order, he flicked his wand at the door and it swung open. "Come on in and find yourselves a seat, we'll be starting shortly. Please feel free to go through your text book. You will be needing it for this lesson." ooc: Please RP your character taking their seats. I will be back shortly to continue with the class. Please keep the chatting to a minimum, thank you. |
Arya walked into the classroom not knowing what to expect. She had been looking forward to the class all day in hopes that it would cheer her up. Ever since Potions she hadn't been her usually cheery self. She looked at all the Olympic posters, wondering what fun things they were gonna do today. Taking a seat she gave the professor a small smile and said, "Hey Proffesor Lawson, how ya doin?"before she began fliping absently through the textbook on her desk. |
Reese headed into the classroom with a little smile on her face. Noticing the posters on the wall, she stopped for a brief second to analyze the posters. Hmm, Olympic Sports. Interesting. After looking at all the posters, she headed over to one of the desks near the front of the classroom. "Hello Professor," she greeted Lawson before taking her seat. She eyed the textbook on her desk before pulling some parchment and a pen from her schoolbag. Then, after placing her materials on the desk, she opened her textbook and began to look through the pages. |
Entering the classroom fully clad in skateBOARDING gear and a motorbike crash helmet, came Jake in what he called his anti-Josh gear. Just. In. Case. Walking awkwardly Jake entered, took a seat, and tried to open a textbook... and failed. His gloves were too stiff. "Crap." |
Jake entered the classroom slowly. He looked around the room to see posters. Interesting He then saw the textbooks on the desks. He found a seat, before sitting he nodded to the professor and said "Good day, professor" then sat down starting to flip through the textbook on Olympic games. |
Pierre walked into the Muggle Studies classroom. "Hello Professor Lawson." He said before taking a seat. The number one thing on his mind as he entered was not to roll his eyes in this class. He didn't want a repeat of being called out like he had in the first one. Then Pierre started to look around the room. He recognized all of the posters of various Olympic Sports in the past. He then looked at the book on his desk and smiled as he saw it was about the Olmypic games. Pierre had watched them almost everytime they were on and found every single one of them ten times more interesting than quidditch. He started to flip through the book and anxiously waited for class to begin. |
Skipping to the class, a happy smile on her face, Evelyn entered the classroom, for some reason expecting to see the weird muggle football field again. But nope, no grass in the classroom today. *sigh* Whatever though. Today, she was on a |
Practically running into the classroom, for she was excited today, Destiny took notice of the classroom. The was no grass, only desks. And what happened to be on those desks? Books. She didn't want to read, she wanted to play! Oh well, she couldn't help it if Lawson wanted them to read today. Still excited, Destiny continued on her way to the seat right in front of the Professor. 'Hellooooo Professor Lawson!' OH NO SHE DIDN'T! Evelyn had hugged Lawson! She hugged him before Destiny! Jumping out of her seat, she ran towards the man and gave him an even bigger hug! Sticking her tongue out at Evelyn, Destiny sat back into her seat. In your face! |
Ooooh. Cela eyed the textbook as she sat down. Olympic games again! The thing that was intriguing about it to her was that they played so many different sports, not just one. She looked up at Jake when he said a poop word. "Do you want a hand?" She scooted a bit closer to the Hufflepuff and gave him a friendly smile. It simply didn't occur to Cela to comment on his ensemble. |
Marie walked into Muggle Studies wondering what they would learn about today. "Hello Professor Lawson". She looked around to see if Evan was in class yet but didn't see him. She took a seat near the back of the room where she could see who was coming in. She looked at the book laying on the desk, Olympic Games. 'Well it looks like we are going to be learning more about muggle sports' she thought as she sat there looking through the book. She frequently looled up from the book hoping to see Evan come in. |
Daniel entered the Muggle Studies classroom with a vibrant look in his face. He is grinning and a very happy look is on his face. He took a seat in the front of the room and said, "Fabulous day, Professor! How are you?" |
Walking into the classroom, Adam grinned when he saw the posters on the walls. Seem's they where in for doing dome more sports today, eh? "Yerrrlooo Sir!" Adam said, a lot more bouncy now he knew there where in for a fun lesson. Taking a seat towards the middle of the class, he sat down, dropping his bag on the floor by his feet and opening the textbook excitedly. |
Becca walked into the classroom and took as seat. Looking around, she saw posters and things pretaining to the Olympics. Becca'd seen the Olympics before on televsion with her family at home and found it quite entertaining. Finally, she said "Hello Professor Lawson, how are you today?" and hten began to flip through the textbook that had been put on her desk prior to her entrance into the classroom. |

''HELLLOOO MUGGLE STUDIES CLASSROOM!'' Josh made his usual loud entrance and walked inside while tying to look more happy than usual. Because he felt the urge to look like that in this class and yes, he could do that. He was a good actor plus he needed not to be an actor for being loud. He was already loud. However he fell silent once his eyes spotted the professor. Okay. No problem. He was still happy. And...another shock hit him as he gazed at the front seats. Were Rose and Destiny really sitting there or was something wrong with him? *blink blink* |

Marcus was starting to get slightly scared of these two girls. "Yes, yes hello to you to Destiny." His eyes narrowed at the two Slytherin's. They were up to something. Tearing his gaze away from Evelyn and Destiny, Lawson looked out at the rest of the class. "Alright as you can see I have supplied you all with a textbook on Muggle Olympic Games. Today is going to be a Q&A class." He hoisted himself up onto his desk and swung his legs back and forth. "So this is how it is going to work. I will ask you a question on past Olympic Games and you are to give me the answer. As with most Olympic events the fastest person will the winner. So the person with the first correct answer will be our gold medalist and will receive 3 points for their house. Second correct answer will be our silver medalist and will receive two points for their house and of course the third correct answer will be our bronze medalist and will receive one point for their house. At the end, the house with the most gold medals will receive an extra 15 points. Everyone got that?" |
"Sounds fun sir." Cela decided, looking around to check how many Ravenclaws were in the class. They were starting now? She opened her book and glanced at it briefly. Open book tests were totally easy. ... maybe. |
Walking into the classroom, Kay thought maybe it would still have grass everywhere. "Hi, Professor Lawson, How are you today." Kay said smiling as she walked to her desk. "It was great that you helped with the Blliywigs. It was great fun." She said taking her sit. Kay started to get quill and parchment out and layed them on her desk. She picked up the book and opened it to take a look. She looked up and looked around the room at all the posters and other stuff the Professor had put up. |
Eeepyy... Muggle Studies!! After rushing her way through every corridor she could, Annie found her way towards the classroom. Whew, she was in time...right? Yes. As listening to the professor speak, she looked through her textbook. This was going to be about sports, Muggle Sports and most important of all, the Olympics!!! Her smile turned wide. She loved that event, it was for her a reason to share cultures, to know about them...and just for the fact that sports were its tie. |
"That's good..."She said without looking up from her text book. There was a lot of interesting facts about the olympics that she didn't know. She swung her legs as she continued to scan through the book. She finally when Lawson began to speak. It wasn't what she was hoping for, but atleast it was a game and not a boring lecture. Arya stoped fliping through the book as she waited for the first question. |
Sidney almost misses what Professor Lawson says. She's busy thumbing through her text book. |

In fact, his hearing was a little stunted through this thing, so any taunts might just be lost on him. And... GUHH! Olympic games! Jake was bad at that kind of topic and now with his limited hearing and pageturning!fail... he had more to blame it on. Just as Cela offered him some help... or whatever she did, Jake managed to open the cover... only to have it fall closed again. Eh. He'd manage. "Got it!" Yeah, Jake was |
Tiberius bounced around in his seat as he thumbed through his textbook. They had to win. Had to. He looked over to Cela and smiled, before scanning the room for other Ravenclaws. Starting soon? Yes yes? Tibi cracked his knuckles. He was far too into this. |
SQUEE! Aaaand...she was dying inside. Keeping up the stupid smile and happy attitude was harder than she thought. Nodding at his question, not trusting her voice at the moment in case she said something really regretable, she smiled at the professor again before noticing Josh. Oo Josh was here! Patting the desk next to her, hoping he would take it so she didn't have to sit up in the front allll by herself!...since it was sorta like a competition with Destiny... YEA, she saw that hug Destiny gave Lawson. Pfft. Evelyn's hug was waaay better... |
Ian had been distractedly flipping the pages of the textbook Professor Lawson had provided them. The truth was that, having grown up pretty much as a muggle (save for the tutoring on magical education by his father), Ian knew all that there was to know about Muggles, and all the things that implied to be one. Playing sports was, too, part of that, and Ian, though hardly the best at sports, knew more than enough to actually have to worry too much over paying attention. "Sure, sir. Sounds good." Or something. House points didn't really matter to him. It wasn't like HE was contributing much to the house cup race thing that excited everyone so much, anyway. |
