Upon entering the Muggle Studies classroom you will find that there are no desks and chairs instead there is a huge field of grass for you to sit down on.
Professor Lawson is standing by the door waiting to usher in the students for their first lesson of the term. "Please come in and find yourselves a piece of grass and park your behinds on it." He sincerely hoped that they taken note of the special requirements and worn something comfortable.
ooc: My apologies for the delay, I had a few technical issues this morning.
Kellen poked Sabel on the tip of his nose, "I meant you, Mr. Soccer." He lifted his own nose into the air and pompously declared, "If you three were to take me on, I can guarantee that there would be no competition whatsoever."
His face broke into a grin and he jabbed a thumb at the ground, "You'd trounce me."
Sabel laughed at that and swatted Kellen's hand away. "Yeah. With me acting as your ground cushion to catch you."

Blinking, Sabel poked his head over Kellen's shoulder and peered at the Professor. "Oh, over already?"
That was rather disappointing.
A slight frown knitted his brow together as Professor Lawson called for Arya. What had she done...or not done? She didn't look like she was hurt, in pain or to be the cause of great concern. He bit his bottom lip. He would have to remember to ask her later.

Smiling, thrilled that the class was over, Evelyn ran over to her bag and, slowly got out her orange Muggle Studies notebook. Ugh, she forgot about the homework. Reading over the questions, she wrote them down and then packed up the notebook again, before heading back over to Destiny and Kylie. "Let's goooooo." she mumbled to them and then turned to the Professor. "See you later Professor Lawsguini!"

Apon hearing that they could leave, Arya had grabed her bags preparing to leave when she heard Lawson call her to the front. She stoped and replayed the class trying to figure out if she had done something wrong. After all, professors don't call you to the front 'just to say hey'. Slowly she headed up to Lawson, not sure what to expect from him. "Yes Professor Lawson...did I do something wrong?" She hand her hands behind her back, fidgiting with her fingers. She didn't want to show how nervious she was.

Kay ran over to her bag and got her parchment and quill. She wrote down all of the homework and wonder if she would understand all of this. Muggle sports she would like to study? ummmm. Kay pack her stuff back into her bag and grabbed it up. "Thanks Professor Lawson, This was great." Kay said with a smile. Kay ran back over to her group to see if they were leaving or staying to play.

Marcus watched the young Huffie make her way over to him nervously and he gave her a reassuring smile. "Not at all Arya. I just wanted to say that I am very proud of you for taking Allison under your wing and showing her how to play football when she clearly had no idea." He reached into his pocket and pulled out what looked to be a piece of paper, "There's a Hogsmeade weekend coming up soon and I thought you could do with a reward for your excellent behavior and participation today."

Arya beamed at the professor, she should have figured that he had been watching them but it somehow sliped her mind. "Thanks Professro Lawson! Gold picked up a football, dribbled it a bit. She was short on time, now - thirty minutes was certainly not enough! - so she sped up a bit, even though that really wasn't of help.
Not to mention, the fact that she wore heels, made play quite difficult. She sort of wanted to conjure her shoes into joggers now, but she wasn't sure if the professor would approve, so she did not. He should have told them, what he had in store for them! She would never have worn heels, then. Common sense not about what to wear, you know?
Once the ball rolled away from her, and she chased it, all gleefully. Sports always made her happy! Outdoor sports, that is. She certainly liked to dribble, too.

Nuuu.
"That was a great lesson, sir," Gold said politely, as she came to a stop, and placed one, high-heeled foot on the football. Now to write down the homework, and stuff.
Allison was extremely happy. Never in her entire life had she ever thought she'd be able to kick a muggle ball. Especially one that was so big and round. Fidgetting on the spot not knowing what to do with all her excess happiness Allison turned swiftly when the professor announced the end of class.
She had no idea whether to be gleeful that the class was over or mortified that her knew acquired skill would be forgotten--REALLY she had no skill, she was just imagining things. Then suddenly Professor Lawson called Arya to the front. Before Allison could protest that Arya had only been trying to help her out, Allison decided against throwing a childish tantrum when Arya bravely walked up.

Cursing under her breath about unfairness, and rude professors Allison put on her other shoe, when Arya arrived by her side to show her the coupon. All disgust for the professor gone she looked at him and grinned. Of course Arya deserved the coupon she was fabulous! Allison then gave Arya a big hug for her success.
"Congrats Arya! Now we can both go to Hogsmeade and use our coupons. I managed to get one at Astronomy! While you eat yours I'll wear mine!" Allison was very excited for both of them. So far the first two days had been successful for both--at least academically. Arya with a dessert and Allison with gloves. It seemed days at Hogwarts were beginning to change into a more hopeful course.
Intertwining her arm with Arya's Allison waved goodbye to Professor Lawson.
This was by far the most interesting, yet completely useless class I could ever imagine. Severia thought to herself. She copied down her homework, grabbed her things and headed for the door, dreading the next lesson. What's the use of learning about Muggles when I have a wand. She mumbled to herself on the way out.

More homework and MORE vouchers? Celandine frowned, got her things out and copied the homework down and then, taking a huge detour around the Hufflepuff girl that had been given that voucher, she left, mumbling to herself.

Kylie laughed a little at Destiny's remark. Oh silly Destiny... After copying down the homework, she waved to Professor Lawson before leaving, "Thanks Professor. It was fun." Lawson's class was always fun. Like, without doubt. Though, she was pretty sure if he had picked any other sport, she wouldn't have had nearly as much fun.

Heehee...that kinda tickled, Marcus patted the young girl on the back and laughed at her enthusiasm. "You are quite welcome Arya" he said as he watched her run with her friend Allison and waved goodbye to them.

Marcus raised his eyebrows as he watched Severia and Celandine mumbling to themselves as they left the room. He shrugged his shoulders, teenagers were difficult to work out at times.

Marcus shook his head and let out a loud laugh, "Oh you're just killing me Destiny. You're definitely wasting your talents here." He gave her a wink as she walked passed because he knew that would just annoy the crap out of her.

Evan could hardly refrain from making a face as they played. He didn't even bother to tackle, Jacob and Georgiana were exchanging passes too fast. There wasn't even enough space between them. Gah. What could you expect from wizards' football abilities? He neatly passed the ball when they accidentally threw it to him. He was about to nod at Marie when she said not to be so let down when he was caught surprise with her word choice: date? Surely he had it wrong, didn't he? He gave a puzzled look as she corrected it immediately. Yes, just a matter of wrong talking. He didn't give much importance to it and nodded as he intended to. Yes, saturday was going to be cool.
He had just streched his leg back to kick the ball softly to Marie when professor talked. Oh wait--he stopped the ball by placing a foot on it. The lesson was finished? About time. It was getting boring. After writing the homework to his brain -it would never forget anything about football!- he turned to Marie, giving a look that asked Staying, or going?
Barry wrote down his homework and thought about how he would do it. Where there even books on football in the library? He was confused on what Fifa was. Muggle studies, so difficult. He walked out, with a nod to the teacher, confused

She sat down and made note of the homework in the homework diary she'd bought, then looked up at the others, "We could always come and ask Lawson for a ball on Saturday and have a kick about in the grounds though, if you's wanted to. I would."
She grinned and then gathered her stuff together, then walked up to Lawson before leaving, "That was a great lesson, Professor - I really had fun."

Marie had just passed the ball to Evan and was waiting for him to pass it back to her when the professor announced that the class was over. Looking at the homework assignment she has a sudden panic attack. Looking over at Evan she said "Please tell me you will help me with this." Maybe the next time they practiced together they could work on the assignment. She really needed to learn the rules here and fast. She quickly wrote down the assignment and packed her things away. Ready to get out of the class she turned back to Evan to see that he looked like he was ready to leave too. "I think I need to get started on my homework now so I can get it done in time. You wanna come with me?" Looking at him with a please help me look she really hoped he would say he would help her.

Evan chuckled. The homework was a piece of cake. "Of course I'll help." he said with a huge grin. Seeing that Marie wanted to leave, he too started to head towards the door. "Sure." he said. He didn't have anything to do, and he'd better finish his homework now while with Marie.
Tiberius dribbled a ball over to the corner where he wasn't likely to have anyone bother him. Despite being small and a bit of a nerd, he actually quite liked football. Playing in the backyard was the one thing he and his mum did together other than read.
And since at his old school he hadn't had many any friends, he'd played by himself. Dribbling a little, he made like he would pass the ball and then ran ahead to be the one to receive it.
And then he dribbled some more. And passed to himself again. And again. He smiled to himself, quite oblivious to the fact that the room was beginning to clear out.
He was having a grand time in his corner, his blinky sneakers lighting up extra bright whenever he kicked.

Satine glanced at Tobias as he spoke to her and then through her giggles and smile she pushed out a, "Yes...I'm fine...Just a little bit full of grass...thanks for asking though..." she said with another laugh as she finally got all of the grass out of her hair. Most peeps would've been embarassed about falling but not Satine she took it with stride and just laughed at herself. That was Satine not very athletic.
She paused as Professor Lawson whistled...and no not a short whistle, but an ear splitting makes you want to poke you eardrums out whistle. She listened to his annoucment about targets and the time left and glanced down at the ball at Tobias' feet. Yes it would prolly be better for her just stick to dribbling for today.
Satine stopped the ball with the inside of her right foot and then glanced at Iris and Tobias as she tried to dribble the ball. The first two or three dribbles were pretty sloppy but soon she got the hand of it. "Like this?" she said to no one in general while focusing on the ball and the dribbling. She was pretty proud of herself.
"Wow, maybe I should be a football/soccer star someday." she said with a roll of her eyes as she slightly pushed the ball towards the middle of the circle.
Tobias, glad that Satine was fine, felt a little guilty. She was far more skilled than him; he deserved to fall. He scuffed the grass gently with the toe of his worn-out sneaker, wondering if it was real grass or magicked. Tobias had a problem with plants grown purely by magic. Potions and little charms here and there were fine, but spells that caused (or transfigured) a full-grown tree to pop out of desk were just...fake.
Tobias sighed. He really needed to get outside and see if there was any gardening the Herbology professor would allow him to do.

She turned to listen to Lawson. Iris wanted to go and hit the targets (and pretend that they were scousers. hehe.), but she decided it would be better for her to stay here with these. Iris focused on Satine dribbling the ball, smiling encouragingly at her. "Yup, just like that. Go you!"
Iris laughed. "You never know, you could be. Just not in heels." She grinned and stole the ball from the circle. muaha. MY GO! yay! She dribbled the ball back and forth a few times, slightly quicker than she did when she was showing Tobias, until she tripped.
. "Ahh!" She put her arms out as she gained her balance - You know, because it really helps when you do that. She stood up and looked at Satine with grin, oops. Iris looked down to see that it wasn't the ball that she'd tripped up on, it was her shoe lace.
She rolled the ball to Tobias, so that he could give it another go and then sat on the floor and re-tied the lace. In a quadruple knot. Just to be safe.
Maybe sitting on the floor after giving Tobias the ball wasn't such a good safe idea though.
Now Tobias really felt bad, because he was the least knowledgeable about Football and here we was looking like an idiot but not falling or tripping. He considered making himself fall next time he got the ball, but decided against it.
He held the ball until Iris stood up again. There really was no way to tell where his kick would go. He tried dribbling again, still very slowly. His sneakers made a nice, rhythmic sound as he pushed the ball around; it was easy enough to tell when he messed up because the sound was off.

Time had flown so fast! Tobias dared hope that he and the girls were getting better at all this dribbing-passing business, if only just a teeny tiny amount.
"I think I'm going to head back to the common room," Tobias said, eyes on the homework. Eeek. That would take lots of research. "Or maybe the library...I think I need a book for that." The outside was calling, but homework was pulling him away. He sighed again. Being so long without real - Tobias had decided the grass under his feet was indeed what he called "fake" - plants had a bad effect on him. What was that Iris had said? Practice outside? "I think we should get together sometime and pass the ball around," he added. Hopefully, no one would fall.
He quickly got his writing materials and recorded the homework, looking sadly at his quill. The top two inches had completely broken off. Ooops. That's what he got for shoving it so carelessly into his bag. At least you didn't need the feathery part to right. Even better was that his ink hadn't spilled.
"Bye, Iris. Satine. Candy." Tobias waited for Iris to say goodbye to the professor and leave before approaching him.
"Professor Lawson, I wanted to say thanks for this lesson," Tobias said, smiling slightly at the memory of the past half hour. "And...I was wondering if you knew of any places I could order a Football on the cheap side. I'd like to see if I can get any better, without having to ask you to borrow a Football all the time."

Marcus was in the process of putting away the footballs when he heard the young Slytherin's voice. He straightened up with a smile on his face, "No need to thank me, I had fun." With a small wink he tossed the football that was in his hand over to Tobias, "No need to buy one dude, just keep that one."

Sauntering over to the corner where Tibi was dribbling the ball by himself, Marcus stuck out his foot as the ball rolled towards him and stopped it. "Nice shoes Tiberius" he said with a small chuckle as he took in the way the shoes lit up every time Tiberius walked.
He just realised that this was the first time he had seen the young Ravenclaw since term had started, "How about a little one on one?"
So the class had been called off, and Annie had only played a few minutes. Sigh. She so missed her soccer games, practices, her uniform, which at first she hated because she had to wear a pink tie every game around her ponytail. Ugh. Ewww, PINK.
But then the professor said they could stay, so she did...Her smile went wide as Annie just bounced the ball from her feet up to her knee then up into the air, switching it to the opposite knee and viceversa. Then, her kick! Oh my...it went all into a goal line she imagined...
Yay...at least that made her forget about Phantom...
