Upon entering the Muggle Studies classroom you will find that there are no desks and chairs instead there is a huge field of grass for you to sit down on.
Professor Lawson is standing by the door waiting to usher in the students for their first lesson of the term. "Please come in and find yourselves a piece of grass and park your behinds on it." He sincerely hoped that they taken note of the special requirements and worn something comfortable.
ooc: My apologies for the delay, I had a few technical issues this morning.

"Oh come on, it's slightly funny." she said, chuckling every now and then. Well she thought it was funny. Obviously. Walking over to the target, being able to laugh more freely now since she wasn't near her friend, she picked up the shoe and walked slowly back over, dodging a few balls being kicked her way. Pfft.

Every class.
There seems to be an injury.
Pouting? Slytherins do not pout! Do they? Actually, yea. A lot of the time. But now she felt defensive and insulted for some odd reason. Maybe it was because it was Lawson. "I got her shoe." she said, holding it up and tossing it in front of her friend. "Sooo...Professor Lawsguini. How are you liking your new job?" And she definitely wanted an honest opinion. Because if he liked it, then she would have to find some way to make it miserable for him. And if it was miserable for him, than she'd have to find a way to make it even more miserable for him. It was a win-win situation for her.
Hmpfh. This head injury proved that Lorelai was NOT made out for football. Nodding a little bit as her best friend took a seat beside her, she leant her shoulder on Prefect Goldie's shoulder and sighed a little bit.
"Is there blood?" Because she couldn't deal with that.
Eh.
"No blood," Gold said, with a quick nod. She didn't want Lori to get worried, or anything. "There's a sort of bruise, but it should be fine. Do you want to go to the Hospital Wing, Lori Louu? You can't stay here, like this." There were balls flying everywhere!
It would be the last straw, if Lori got accidentally hit again. Gold wouldn't have minded such an injury for herself - she was totally used to skinned knees and accidentally falling off trees, sometimes thanks to her high heels - but she did worry now, because it was Lori.
Which meant this was not nice.

"Mini-accident," she told the new person, with a nod. She looked at Kiri, who looked profusely apologetic, and offered the girl a small smile that seemed to say, 'Don't worry, please.'
Time to turn back to Lori. "Lori, do you want to head to the Hospital?" she asked, again. "Kiri or I could take you, there." She mentioned Kiri's name too, because she was pretty sure the other girl would not be unhappy to help someone out - she acted pretty nice, this Kiri.
... and, of course, they could come back after that, resume their play, then. Certainly not now, though.

It was a ball for goodness sakes how could that possibly hurt?
"And for those of you who aren't partcipating in the class, I have taken down your names and if you don't start joining in then I am going to have some very unpleasant jobs for you to do."
Oopsies.
Looked like Professor Lawson really wasn't too happy. Gold glanced at Lori, and waited for her friend to say something. The sooner they got this injury stuff out of the way, and resumed play, the better.

HAI target! Meet ball!
Cela caught up to the ball and stopped it with her feet like she'd seen some of those muggleborn kids do. She kicked it hard and then giggled as it hit the target, bounced off and rolled away again.
She chased it gleefully.

Chris was so excited he was in a great group with Torin, Dani, Sarah, and Reese. He had started out with no one in his group and now had a lot of amazing people.
He kicked the still moving ball that Dani had kicked to him to Torin skillfully with the side of his foot.
Seeing that simply everyone was ignoring her requests to join their group Iris decided to try kicking at those targets. Taking a ball she walked over a good distance from the target and placed the ball. taking a few steps backward she inhaled *step, step kick!* the ball flew toward the target... sort of. It veered off to the right which was irritating, but better than standing alone being ignored...just like at home.

Okay that was too much information right there. "If you say so Miss Toussaint." And she was off chasing after the wayward ball and this time Marcus did smile as he wandered over to his two favourite Slytherin girls....NOT!!

Ehh, why was he hovering over her like that? He was kinda creepy looking from this angle. No, he was reallllly creepy looking from this angle. 'I'm not pouting.' Was she pouting? Maybe just a little, but she had every right to pout. 'And I don't wanna get up.' Jeez, couldn't the man see she was comfortable?

Hmm, she still didn't have to get up because Evelyn got her shoe. 'Thanks.' she told her friend as she put it back on. The shoe was a bad shoe.
She sat there and snickered as Evelyn talked to Lawson. Ha! And she even used the new name. He liked Lawsonator too much, so they would not be using that name on him. This might cause them to get detention..again.

Kellen sighed, "This is what I get for being used to playing on a leveled field. Well, I'd better go get the stupid thing."
He left Sabel to play with his own football and jogged behind the targets in search of his ball, making sure to stay clear of the balls being kicked by other students. The last thing he wanted was an imprint on his face in a football pattern.
Chasing after the ball Iris tried that ...dribbling thing that the Professor had assigned them. It was rather clumsy, and not nearly as effective as picking up the ball and walking, but she could see the merit and exercise in it. Stopping a good distance from the target she slowly lined up the ball. Her aim was normally impeccable, but this muggle sport was hard! Studying the target from different angles she decided to treat it as though she were shooting an arrow...with her foot. She felt silly but it was all she could relate it to. Breathing quietly she centered herself. All the noises around her disappeared as her pale eyes focused. The target was her sole destination. Repeating her prior steps she kicked the ball with such force that it made a loud cracking noise as it hit the target and rocketed back towards her. Luckily it lost momentum before reaching her or she may have knocked herself unconscious with this obviously dangerous ball.

Watching Kellen go Sabel shook his head with a smile. The joys of playing on the ground rather than in the air. He preferred it in all honestly. Though a soccer ball to the nose could really end up hurting, it didn't seem as bad a proposition as falling from a great height or getting knocked off a broom by a bulger ball only to fall yet again. No sirie. He prefered the ground.
As he watched Kellen pick up his ball he remembered he was lacking in one. Swiviling his head about he tried to remember where he had seen it. Ah, there it was. All the way over there. Sighing he broke into an easy jog and went to collect the ball, being mindful of the bumps and dips in the field on his way.
Helena aimed another kick at the target, silently cheering as the ball bounced off the center and rolled to a stop at her feet. She was getting better and better at this.

Kylie was technically partners with Evelyn and Destiny...but they were off being all troublesome, something she wasn't exactly a fan of. She went and grabbed another ball kicking them at the targets. It wasn't really challenging, though every twenty shots or so a ball would fly in a not-so-desired direction. She continued trying to call her shots until they were done messing with Professor Lawson.
It was kind of upsetting really, Professor Lawson was one of her favorite Professors. But, he was also perfectly able of taking care of himself. Plus, it'd just be plain weird if she stood up for her Professor.

Finally, he let the ball down on the floor again and kicked it towards Reese.

She said with a little grin as she rubbed her chest where the ball hit.

"In the future you may want to give the person a little more notice before you kick a ball at their head. Consider yourself on detention Joshua."
Marie couldn't believe it when she heard Professor Lawson take points away from Josh and give him detention. "Can you believe it, Josh lost points and got detention for being mean to Jake. He should have lost more for being mean to you too" she said looking at Evan.
"Let's go practice with the targets" Marie said as she grabbed Evan's arm. "I don't think I want you to hit me with a ball again" she said as she rubbed her chest again. Realizing that she was holding onto Evsn's arm she quickly let go and looked down hopimg he didn't see her blush, again.

Mina looked at the football in her hand and shrugged. It really couldn't be as hard as it looked, right? She just needed to dribble it and then she could move on to maybe kicking it at a target. That wasn't really too much to ask for. Setting the ball down, she made her first attempt to dribble it. Dal didn't seem to have a difficult time, so it should be easy for her, she figured at least.
After a few terrible attempts, she did manage to dribble the ball slightly. Well, what were she managed to do looked like a dribble and that was really as good as she could do. Turning to see where her partner had gone, she shook her head. Seriously, Dal needed to get out of the way of the targets. She had enough of seeing her friends injured for one year as is.
Walking over to the far end of the field, she set the ball down again. Now all she had to do was kick the ball at the target. That was simple, she could so do that. Glancing from the ball to the target and back to the ball, she took a breath and kicked the ball. It bounced slightly and rolled a few meters toward the target. Definitely not what she wanted. After retrieving the ball, she tried again. She would hit the target even if it took her all day.
"There's nothing wrong." She didn't want to talk about it. She looked at the floor. She was not going to cry in front of him again. He was gonna think she was a whiney little girl. Urgh. Her head hurt a little. Maybe she was getting sick.
You know there is definitely something wrong when a teenager says there is nothing wrong. But if Dani didn't want to talk about it then Marcus would not press her. "So...um..." he trailed off totally at a loss as to what to say. "I hear Mr Masterton has a jungle gym this year. Have you tried it out yet?"
Hmm...he was not really good at this was he?

Lawsguini? What happened to Lawsonator? He liked that name so much better. Looking Evelyn straight in the eye, Marcus lent forward slightly and spoke in a low voice so that only she and Destiny would hear. "Well to be honest I wasn't liking it very much but then I got to come over here and talk to you two and well now my day is just so much brighter."
Was that sarcasm?
Surely not from the good Professor.

"Aww poor little Destiny, she doesn't want to get up because she's too busy having a sulk." Marcus let out a small chuckle as he knelt down beside the young Slytherin. "If you don't get back up I will put you in the goal keepers position and tell the rest of the class it's goal kicking practice." He gave her a wink as he straightened back up and held out his hand to her.
Oh she wouldn't take it but it can't be said that he didn't offer.
Marcus turned back towards the rest of the students, "Okay I want you all back into your groups or you may make new ones. What I want you to do is two on two. By that I mean two players dribble the ball and pass it to your partner and the other two try to steal the ball only using your feet."
Okay this was probably not the best idea in the world but this was how you played soccer. Marcus rubbed the back of his neck for a moment, thinking about how to make sure there were no more injuries.
With a small smile, he moved around the room casting shields over each of the students. "Alright you have 30 minutes left to practice and I have shielded each of you against injuries. So there will be no excuses of getting out of class and going to the hospital wing." Marcus threw Evelyn and Destiny a small smirk. He would have to keep an eye on the time because the shields would only last for half an hour.
Daniel smiled at the news that they got shield charms. He wanted to try this his whole life. He got the ball and balanced it in his head and then he jumped and the ball bounced on his head. Well the shield charm really works.
He bounced the ball on his head for five minutes and then he let it hit his foot and he bounced it over and over on his foot and then he did a somersault and kicked the ball towards the grass.

Dalanie grabbed Mina's hand and said,"Come on we need two other partners." She searched the class to find to people that needed two more. Maybe there weren't any. She would just have to wait.
Having two Muggle borns and a half-blood meant that Nymphy's group had sone expeirience and that meant that they could show off a little.

He was still keeping a close eye on his professor. He still fully intended to see his plan of staying after and introducing himself to make a good impression through to the end.
