Upon entering the Muggle Studies classroom you will find that there are no desks and chairs instead there is a huge field of grass for you to sit down on.
Professor Lawson is standing by the door waiting to usher in the students for their first lesson of the term. "Please come in and find yourselves a piece of grass and park your behinds on it." He sincerely hoped that they taken note of the special requirements and worn something comfortable.
ooc: My apologies for the delay, I had a few technical issues this morning.

Now Destiny had a point there. Looking up to Kylie expectantly, hoping she'd agree to just hog the ball for the remainder of the class period, her attention was diverted when noticing everyone else in the room. A lot...of people. Too many. Someone could kick the ball at her and she wouldn't even know! Wait, that would be like quidditch right? Just like watching out for bludgers. Well that made it slightly more bearable. Comparing soccer to quidditch.

Well, that was a disappointment. And to think Kylie turned evil, Destiny should have known better than to think that. 'Maybe you can just show us how it is done. Yeah, teach us.' That way Destiny could just stand here and look for targets watch Kylie. She picked up the ball and handed it to Kylie. 'Bounce the ball on your head or something..'

Ooooo. The Ravie had just snapped at him. Did he? Did he? It sounded like it did. ''Good point. Smartie.'' Josh responded, slightly moving the ball in a circle movement with his right foot. His smirk got widened as he wished them 'a safe game', obviously most of the students here were not tough enough to play this game, before continue dribbling the ball back at Evan and Marie

What if she made a mistake, would Evan be mad at her? Then she seen who the other boy asked to be his partner. This should be good, three boys and one girl, a girl who wasn't so sure about herself. Maybe she would get lucky and Jake wouldn't know how to play either, or maybe he wouldn't want to play with them at all. Looking at Evan she felt a little better when he seemed to be giving her a look of encouragement. "Okay, we can do this. I'm ready whenever you guys are." Well as ready as she could be that was.

Evan smirked, then his eyes caught another red. Jake's nose was... bleeding? And from the look of the situation, it was a job of Josh. He let out his breath like he'd expect such a behaviour only from Josh. And he realised it'd give him a chance of attack without getting dirty.
"Nobody wants to pair up with violent and crazy Josh? How sad... Tut tut. Just try not to kill us, can you do that?" He gave an exaggerated fake look of worry. Well, what could you expect from a Gryffindork who supported Manchester United anyway? Be human, civil and play sportsmanlike? Not something he'd see in this world.
Oh, was Marie stressed a little? Well, she shouldn't be. Josh was seriously a piece of cake. He was about to put his foot on the ball when Joshua had already started dribbling it. That little sneaky devil. Evan ran to tackle him cleanly. He slided, being extremely careful to touch only the ball. He didn't know if Joshua was good enough to stay on his feet and pass him, but he needed to stop. How would they determine who was the winner with no goal? The blondie yelled "Stop! How will we decide who is the winner?" Stupid Joshua acting without thinking again. Snort. A dork and a Manchester fan. How bad could a person's choice get?
''Violent and crazy Josh'' he repeated raising an eyebrow at Evan. ''I am not violent nor crazy'' looking back at Jake, ah yes he was bleeding so what?, he went on ''It's football and you always get hit in the game. It's not my problem if he is not tough enough. If he is weak, he is weak and it does not make me violent'' Groan! 'The icky Chelsea boy thinks he is so smart' ''And i'm sure there are people around who would LOVE to play with me'' while dribbling he did another circle movement than got back at forward dribbling and it was when she saw Evan sliding towards him. It was alittle bit too late to hide the ball but at least, he jumped over him as the Slytherin boy got the ball and yelled for them stop afterwards. ''You said something about me killing you right?'' Josh's answer for that was ready ''So why we don't make it like this : if you are alive, you are the winner''

No, learning to fly definitely was NOT fun. Especially with her father teaching her. But she did enjoy it slightly, even in the beginning. And than later, she loved it, regardless of the 'training' she went through. But soccer was different. It didn't have any brooms, bludgers, quaffles, or quiditch posts. Not even a snitch! Just, this black and white ball. "If you say so." she said, watching the ball roll over to Destiny. Maybe she would learn to enjoy it later on, but right now, she was terrible at the sport and therefore, she did not like it.

Whaaat? Before she knew it, someone was grabbing her. Who in their right mind would do that?! TO HER! And scaring her for a split moment too. And, she should have known better. Josh. Teehee.
Giggling, completely forgetting that there was a room for a people for the moment, she turned so she was facing him, a smile replacing the glare on her face from earlier. "Hey Josh." Well, he was right when she wanted something fun, and laughed again when she finally understood what he meant. Aw yes, Josh was fun. Sometimes when he wasn't scaring her of course. Hmm, so was he good at the sport? And what was with his outfit?
Becca grinned, Melanie had a good point, "I guess that's true, but wouldn't you rather have lodt snf done your best?"
She nodded in agreement, "Yeah, I kind of find quidditch more fun, too. Though I have to say, I am definetly a baseball and hockey fan." She was just getting into hockey, but baseball, she loved!
"I just like to play..." Melanie answered her simply, not really sure where she was going with this.
"They're alright." Melanie replied with a shrug. Baseball she could handle...She didn't even wanna comment on hockey. She wasn't so graceful on ground, but ice...? That was a nightmare.

It was the enemy, and she was to kick it. Taking a deep breath and cracking her fingers, Melanie approached it slowly.
Then she thwacked it lightly with the tip of her foot so it went a few inches in the grass. Melanie repeated this action a few more times, before kicking it in the direction of Averi and Becca, with all her might.
It hit the wall behind them with a BANG! and came back down on the grass. There was no harm done to them, her, or most importantly, the wall. Melanie was actually a little surprised at this feat but pleased nonetheless.
It was someone elses turn. Walking back over to her team, she gave them a slight smile. "Someone else wanna go?" Please?

Becca could tell that Melanie was not in the least bit enthusiastic, but was glad she was giving it a shot. Melanie stepped up and took a kick at the ball. Woah, she had a leg when she wanted to. "Nice kick." Becca said as she watched the ball hit the wall behind them and bounce back. "Hm, I'll go." she said and walked over to the ball. Kicking it lightly with the side of her foot, she passed it to Avery.
The Slytherin girl kicked the ball too hard and hit Lori. Poor kiddo. From then on, Annie thought, it was another reason to hate soccer, despite the other two: it's for boys and there were no heels.
Annie looked at Lori. "Lorrii...are you okay...please say something...so I know you're sane." Seriously, that girl needed to speak. Now she was worried. Sigh.
She nodded her head towards the Slytherin girl and towards the Gryffindor Prefect. "Yeah, we sure can stop for a while," Although they hadn't played, but Lori needed to react and say if she was okay, sane..."...we need to call the Professor, don't we?" She was unsure of what to do in those situations, unless it was the same as if she was in a training session; that if someone got hurt, they'd call the coach.

Hmpfh. This head injury proved that Lorelai was NOT made out for football. Nodding a little bit as her best friend took a seat beside her, she leant her shoulder on Prefect Goldie's shoulder and sighed a little bit.
"Is there blood?" Because she couldn't deal with that.
Kiri eyed Lorelai's face and forehead. "Definitely no blood," she announced, and leaned in a little closer, "aaand... no bruise either, I think. Don't worry, you're fine." She sat down heavily on the grass and crossed her legs. A short break would be good.
Kiri was glad that there was no visible sign of Lorelai's encounter with the ball. A bruise or a black eye would definitely make seeing and meeting her in other classes a lot more awkward. Football players, on the other hand, apparently hit the ball with their heads often. Again, that explained quite a lot to Kiri about those players' behaviour on and off the field (and reinforced her own opinion that however dangerous Quidditch might be, it left the most important of her - the brain - well alone), but it also meant that there was no special danger to getting a softly-kicked ball to the head.
"I can get you a... cold compress or something like that," she proposed. "If it feels like you need cooling?"
Kiri then turned to the newcomer who had a positively terrified look on her face. "Don't worry, she's fine," Kiri said soothingly, while wondering what the girl thought had happened - they were playing football, not fighting with swords. "I, er, aimed a bit too high with the ball. She just needs a few minutes, I think. Besides," she gestured behind her to where Jake lay on the ground, surrounded by people, "there's probably more pressing matters for the professor to worry about."
Barry looked over at the rude annoying boy. Did he think he cared what he had to say? "Well then if you don`t care what we think, then why don`t you leave us alone?" he told the young boy hoping he would leave Jake alone.
"So um Jake how you feeling?" Barry asked the boy
Barry smilled as Kay came over. "Yeah, sure why not?" he said then he pointed to Cela who was with Jake "Thats Cela" then he looked over to Brody who he had kicked the ball at " Thats Brody" Then he said "Cela and Brody, this is Kay, shes one of my cousins" Barry had alot of cousins
Kay smiled when Barry said she could work with them. "Thanks, I thought I wouldn't have anyone to work with." Kay said gaving her cousin a little hug. "So we just kick the ball?" Kay asked looking at it. "If this was Quidditch it would be on, but football?" She said looking up at the others there. "Hi, I'm glad to meet you Cela. Hi Brody." Kay said looking at Brody, who she knew from Quidditch.
Cadence was admittedly impressed by his soccer skills. Obviously, not only did Nate know about soccer, but he had also played his fair share of it. Cadence could never juggle the ball any higher than her knees, but then again, she'd never actually plaaayed soccer. She dribbled the ball some and passed it to Arya in silence. They should probably stop talking before they got in trouble for talking in class. Or maybe it was okay in this situation? She wasn't sure, but she didn't remember the professor telling them they COULD talk, so they probably shouldn't talk so much.

Allison had been observing her three partners and had been looking around where to hide. So far she had done an excellent job at disappearing. She had been standing behind this taller boy but when he moved she was clear to be seen. Frowning Allison dragged herself over to the others. Wanting to hide once more Allison stood next to Arya and closed her eyes.
"Make believe I'm not here. Allison Scott nice to meet you all, if you pass me the ball someone will end up hurt so let's make believe I already dribbled! Yay! Ok good job yall!" Pumping her fist in the air Allison grinned, "Wow! That was a workout!" Acting as if she had already dribbled Allison leaned on her hands on her knees as if tired.
Looking at Arya and the boy she felt a tinge of envy, to be able to work a ball filled with air was amazing. How she expected to join the league of Quidditch players was beyond Allison. All she knew at that moment was she hated Muggle Studies. To start with a sport! Dreadful.

Helena concentrated on the ball. She'd never been much good at sports, but at least she was managing to keep it in a fairly straight line. She dribbled it between her feet, then aimed a kick at one of her partners.

Evan raised his eyebrows as well, giving a skeptical look while he was still on the floor. Josh too knew it that he didn't have to hit that hard and fast to catch Jake offguard, and bleed his nose. Not even mentioning that he could pass it lowely to his feet. Josh was obviously violent, and hated to lose even in a game against Jake. Who would want to hurt last year's pink haired Jake? The blondie itched to say all of these and that he was no Rooney, but he held his mouth. This would well go to an argument, and he didn't want any argument in a class or be bad around Marie. He just rolled his eyes at the boy impatiently as he also smiled to himself that he could get the ball from Josh.
Oh no. This boy wasn't serious, was he? Evan gave a fake laugh of belittling, but his laugh turned into a real amused one when Joshua practically ran to his girlfriend. "Who is freak now?" he muttered after him as he got up from where he was lying and turned happily to Marie, his anger and tension gone all of a sudden. He could always beat Ryan. Actually it'd be better if they played it outside of a class, so that the blondie could get evil and dirty. Muahaha.
He slowly took the ball to Marie at his foot. "Let's do the dribbling and passing together, shall we?" he said. Smiling, he sped up and half ran. Then turning suddenly, he passed the ball with inside of his left foot and stopped running. Ah, the ball was going to a little bit right of Marie, but in a distance she could easily reach.

Enjoying the class? Pfft. "Yea, sure." she nodded, forgetting that she was already partnered with Destiny and Kylie. Oh, right. "Wait, no. Umm..." Glancing over at the two girls, she gave them an expression of 'Please let me partner with him!!' before turning back to Josh. Destiny and Kylie could be each others partner for this soccer thing right? Plus it was an uneven number, so it would be easier if she went with Josh. Right? Right! Why was she asking permission to ditch them again?
Yay. Lori woke up from her sudden daze, accidental one. "Definitely, no blood. Don't worry, Lori...these footballs may just leave a slight bruise on your face, but that sure can be fixed if you visit the nurse as soon as possible..." She nodded towards her friend. Experience called, since her legs were full of those bruises a long time ago. But by then, she didn't use magic, so she had to cope with the pain.
And with that comment, she assured what the Slytherin girl had said to her. "I know, it's just that Lori has never played soccer...in fact, she's tried to take my head off it since we met, and make me think it's a game for boys.." Annie said, looking down at Lori.
"Anyways, I'm Anna..." She introduced herself to both the Slytherin girl and to the Gryffindor Prefect.

Twitchy curls? Oliver looked down at Miranda and smirked at her retort. “Nice'” He replied sarcastically. She looked so confused by what was going on. Had Miranda not been paying attention to the professor? Tut tut. Hah.
He waited while she got to her feet and nodded at her question. “Yeah. But we're not playing the game. Jus' supposed to be dribbling the ball and passing to each other. Like the professor showed us.” He nodded to the man. But.. some people were probably asleep so.. bleh – he didn't really have show her, did he?
“Go and stand over there.” He told her and gestured a few metres away. “I'll kick it to you and you have to kick it back. Simple?” Yep. She sure was. hehe.
Miranda glanced up at the giant, and wasn't sure he said something sarcastic or not... But seeing as it was him, then yeah, probably.
So she stood and blinked, looking around at what the others were doing. Oh, okay, not playing the game, just dribbling. Whatever that was. Errr. Miranda made a face like she was waiting for Oliver to show her. Because really, she had still no idea what they were supposed to do. And the professor had showed them...Yeah, that she did not see... "Oh, okay." She nodded. But she mentally shrugged.
Okay, going to stand over heeere. Check. Miranda smiled at Oliver with her eyebrows raised. "Now what?"Kick it to me and kick it back. Check. Miranda took on a usual stance like she would on a broomstick, when waiting to be passed on the Quaffle. Only that well...she was on the ground now. "Ready!" She called out quite unecessary.
Failing miserably in her attempt to hold back her laughter, Arya bent over laughing at Allison. She would have succeeded if Allison didn't start the fist pumping in an attempt to fool the professor. She almost triped over the ball from laughing when it was passed to her. "You'll..hehe...you'll never know if you good or not..hehe..if you don't try Allie."Her laughter had subsided to giggles as she gently passed the ball to Allison.
All of this occurred in slow motion in Allison's eyes. First Arya had a bout of giggles that made Allison look up at her friend, just as slow she said, "Heeeeey nooooottt funnnnehhhh!" Suddenly to Allison's horror Arya passed the ball to her making her squirm.
Suddenly time and motion went back to normal and even went three times as fast, to a point where Allison yelped and dodged the ball making her fall on her small bottom. All of this happened so quickly that in her eyes Arya had kicked the ball with so much force as to scare the living demons out Allison.
Looking at Arya was surprise Allison said, "What was that for? You didn't actually think I'd do something with it? Did you?"

Of courseeeee! Evelyn would rather play with Josh. Destiny saw them pleading eyes, and she figured she did ruin their time together at the Whomping Willow the other day, 'Yeah, sure. Go ahead.' What was she supposed to say, no? This class was boring anyway, and it wouldn't be any funner if Evelyn stayed.
Deciding she was done with this class, Destiny sat back on the grass. Kylie better do something interesting.

Tobias made a mental checklist of names: Satine, Iris, and Candy. He hung onto Iris's promise that he'd get the hang of this whole Football business soon enough.
Tobias suppressed a grin. A hyper baby? That would be interesting to witness.
Not entirely paying attention, Tobias was taken completely by surprise as the football came flying towards him. Whattodowhattodowhattodo? Tobias stuck a foot out, connecting his toe with the ball. The black and white patterned sphere flew off at a diagonal, somewhat in the direction of Satine. "Er...that was bad. Sorry."
The ball a safe distance away, he turned to Iris. "What about that dribbling bit Professor Lawson mentioned? How does that work? And am I supposed to use my toe to pass, because it didn't really work..."
She watched as Tobias attempted to stop the ball. At least it didn't whack him in the face. Lets just hope that Satine has some of her Ravenlaw Wits about her. She grinned slighly, "Don't worry about it too much. It wasn't that bad." Ok ... it was pretty aweful. But you'll learn.
She listened to Tobias as he spoke, "Instead of using your toes, use the sides of your feet - " Iris lifted her foot up and indicated to it, " - because it won't hurt your feet as much, and it will give you much more control over the ball. Watch."
Iris stole retrieved the ball and dribbled it a few times, kicking it slowly enough for Tobias to see how it was done. "It's dead simple when you know how to do it. Here, you try." She kicked the ball gently to him, so that he'd actually be able to get it and stop it... Maybe if Candy did the same then Satine's face will survive the lesson.
Kellen set the football on the ground and looked over at Sabel, an amused smile on his face. Never before had he been allowed to play sports in school, or any kind of game, really. Sure, Astronomy had been a little confusing with its talk of moon formation theory, but then he'd flown a broom around and now he was playing football in the building. How are we liking Hogwarts so far? Very much, thank you!
The kick he gave the ball more of a tap, and it rolled easily from him to Sabel. Playing football was given the all-clear by Professor Lawson, but kicking the ball into someone? He doubted it; rather safe than sorry.

"Hey, Helena!" Vashti said, catching the ball with her foot then dribbling it as she was instructed. It was a good thing she'd played football - or soccer, whatever you wanted to call it - before when she was younger, though she only remembered the basics of the game. Still, Muggle Studies didn't seem like it would be too hard for her - she was Muggle-born, after all. "Mind being my partner? I don't have one yet," she said, before passing the ball back to Helena.

Text Cut: Evan and Marie
Aha! There was Rose!! Finally he could see her! And what was she doing? She did not look like she was playing or enjoying it, gah, too bad. Someone should help her. What someone? No someone! Of course it was going to be him. ''You continue, do passing or else. I'll catch up with you'' he said quickly in a bossy manner to the two Slytherins Evan and Marie before he ran where Evelyn was looking for fun as he could figure out from her question. ''You want fun?'' he said cheerfully catching her arm from her back ''Here i come''
"What! As long as he is alive we win? I thought you said you weren't violent?" She said a little bit loud. The thought of someone trying to hurt Evan didn't make her feel very good at all. Then Josh took off to Evelyn and left her alone with Evan which was just fine with her.

"Yes, let's do that" she said happy that she had Evan to herself again. She watched as he ran with the ball and then suddenly passed it towards her. Watching the ball come towards her she realizes that it is a little off to the right. Running towards the ball she passes it back to him without stumbling this time. The only problem was the ball didn't go towards him at all, it went way off to the left. "Oops, sorry, guess I have to work on direction a little." Now her thoughts wandered off to her practice sessions with Evan. Even though they were practicing together now, she really liked it when they got to practice alone, and now she had a new skill she needed to practice with him, direction.
