Wait OVER!

Not that it had been a long wait. Maybe ... a couple of seconds? But Gold liked sports, and maybe that was why it had felt a teensy bit longer. She shifted a bit as the girl spoke up -- and had to chuckle.

Precious name? But of course. It was, after all, the name of a rather expensive metal. Though Gold would have liked it, even if it had not been. She rather liked her name, you know.

"Thanks," she said, politely. "Pleasure to meet you, Kiri... and triangle sounds alright," she went on, as she shifted a bit more to the right. "That way, you can pass the ball to Lori, and she can pass it on me -- and then I can pass it back to you," she added, with a grin.

OOHH! Candy grinned!

"I like my name," she said, nodding. "It's very MEE! Or at least my mum says that. She says I was a HYPER baby!"

She grinned again and totally nodded when Iris asked if she would like to start them off. "Everyone ready?" she asked, as she settled into position and looked round at them all. "GOOD!"

And with that she kicked the ball that had been nudged towards her. It sped towards Tobias. WOOT!

Cadence looked back and forth between the two younger girls and Cute Boy. "Ummmm.... sure...." she said. Well, so much for getting her flirt on now. That'd be a liiittle hard to do with other people watching.

Dalanie got up from her desk. "Anyone need a partner?!" she exclaimed. Mina or would be nice but she would take whoever came.

"Great! I'll putt my ball up since ya'll already have one."Arya ran to the front putting her ball away and back to the group excitedly. "Ready!" The hyper first year bounced on her toes waiting for the ball.

Cadence allllmost rolled her eyes at this younger girl, but she restrained herself. Cady had played football a thousand times and was not too terribly excited about playing it again. Nevertheless, she pasted on a smile and waited for Cute Boy to pass Excited Girl the ball.

Nate dribbled the ball once she passed it to him. He then gentley kicked it back to her. Then she kicked it to one of the extermely annoying enthusastic younger girls. This went on for a while.

After Nate had passed the ball to Cady, she dribbled it a little more, then gently passed it to Excited Girl. She went easy on her because Cady wasn't sure if she had ever played football before.

"Sounds good," said Kiri, nodding enthusiastically. She played with the ball while the Gryffindor girl walked a few steps to Lorelai's right, rolling it back and forth between her feet. It came easier and easier to her.

Gold's new position made for a nice triangle, about two or three metres from side to side. They could easily step back further and make it even larger, but then people would likely flood into the free area to play - the classroom was quite crowded - and one of them was apt to lose the ball with a badly aimed pass.

Professor Lawson wandered back and forth between the groups. And once he saw Jake, he would probably stop the class from playing football, either until Jake had left for the Hospital Wing or completely. He might have something else planned for the rest of the lesson.
"Alright, let's continue then. Watch out, Lorelai!" Kiri transferred the ball from her left foot to her right and kicked it in the direction of the Hufflepuff.

Arya passed the ball back and forth between the two teens with ease. She loved playing soccer, and she never imagined she'd be playing it at Hogwarts. Still bouncing on her toes she looked back and forth between the two students. "I'm Arya by the way."

Tobias didn't know whether to laugh or tell the girl to calm down. Deciding to leave the girl alone - she was only a first year, after all, Tobias set his bookbag out of the way and prepared for this whole soccer business. This would certainly be interesting.


Tobias made a mental checklist of names: Satine, Iris, and Candy. He hung onto Iris's promise that he'd get the hang of this whole Football business soon enough.

Tobias suppressed a grin. A hyper baby? That would be interesting to witness.

Not entirely paying attention, Tobias was taken completely by surprise as the football came flying towards him. Whattodowhattodowhattodo? Tobias stuck a foot out, connecting his toe with the ball. The black and white patterned sphere flew off at a diagonal, somewhat in the direction of Satine. "Er...that was bad. Sorry."

The ball a safe distance away, he turned to Iris. "What about that dribbling bit Professor Lawson mentioned? How does that work? And am I supposed to use my toe to pass, because it didn't really work..."

"Arya?!" Cadence exclaimed with a giggle. "That's the name of my owl!" How funny was that? That she met a girl with the same name as her owl? And her she had been thinking that Arya was a really original name for her dear little owl. That was too funny.

Mina glanced around as everyone started to group up. From the corner of her eyes, she noticed Barry and Cele over by Jake. Football was not making a great impression on her at all. If she didn't know better, she was starting to think it was nothing but trouble. Frowning a bit, she continues to look around for a partner she trusted. She did not want to have anything bad happen and she had no intention of bleeding this year.

Looking back across the field, she spotted Dal and smiled to herself. Yes, at least she had one friend in the class she trusted, that wasn't partnered off yet. Walking over she smiled. "Hey Dal, you have no idea how happy I am to see you. Want to partner up?" she asked.

Smiling widely at her best friend, Lori nodded down at her shoes. Gold was wearing HEELS? And there was Lori in stupid converse. "I havent seen you since... AGEEES." She giggled.

Man, they had to catch up. About Adam.

Lorelai grinned a little bit as her kick landed NEAR ENOUGH with Kiri. She was getting GOOOOD at this. Good, better, good. It was nice being good at stuff. And football was probably the only thing she wasnt good at. Sigh, now to conquor that. And stick her tongue out at the stupid sport. And to get Annie playing it in heels.

Right, so Gold and Kiri were now accquainted. Which was fun. Clapping her hands a little Lori turned to look at her best friend, because in her opinion..

This was NOT fun.

After turning to her best friend, she only had to wait a few seconds for Gold to answer Kiri, and she frowned a bit at her reply. "Hows about, you two pass. I sit down and re-do my nails? EH?" She grinned at the pair of them, and then spread her fingers at an attempt to show them both the chipped pink nail varnish.

"Fiiiiine." Just standing there, she knew what Gold was going to say to her option and she gave in. "If I hurt you Gold, I cannot be held responsible."
Lorelai nodded once, and physically (and mentally) prepared herself for this 'save'. MEHHH. With her foot out, the inside of it ready, as Kiri's had done, she waited. Her eyes however were about half open and she was squealing inside.

This ball was going to HURT.

Or not. Grinning as it came to a stop at her foot. She chuckled and nodded. Before passing it in Gold's direction.

"Really?"Arya exclaimed with a puzzled simle. She had never heard someone else with her name and didn't expect the first to be an owl. Still blowing the ocasional bubble she wondered if anyone else in the school shared her name. "What's your name?"

"I'm Nate." he enterjected between the two girls conversations.

Ahh. Nate. That was a cute name for an extremely cute boy. The girl, Arya, asked her her name, and she smiled at both of them. "My name is Cadence." Cadence was actually very fond of her name. She felt that it suited her nicely.

"Would you mind spelling that please? It sounds like it is spelled odd." he said dribbling the ball and kicking it to Arya.

Cadence laughed a little, standing with her hand on one hip, waiting for the ball to come to her again. "To whom are you directing that question sir Nate?" she said, flashing him a cute smile.

Aww, Lawsguini was no fun. Surely Destiny had a comment about the dribbling, but she would be good and not say anything. He didn't mention laughing, so Destiny would just sit back and laugh at him. No pointing though, that gets her into too much trouble.

What? They had to do that dibbling thing too? Maybe she could hide somewhere, like in a high patch of grass or something. Never mind, she didn't want to have to go to his office, alone with him. Unless he baked her that pie, which she never forgot about..

She turned and faced Evelyn and gave her the puppy dog eyes, 'Do you want to dribble this ball?' Lawson will pay for making Destiny..exercise.

"Hey Nate"She waited for Nates respone to Candac'e question. Passing the ball to Candace.

Avery walked over to her friend Cadence. She hasn't talked to her since they were on the train. "Cadence? Could I work with you?" Avery did't know many people here.

"Meh, I was busy," Gold muttered. She had STUFF to tell Lori Louu. About Dylan... and she could bet Lori had things to tell her, too.

But that would have to wait, till the end of this lesson.

Football, for now.

"How about I poke you in the arm?" Gold replied, with a grin. She wasn't really worried about the football, right now. It was with Kiri and -- and then the Slytherin had kicked it towards Lori.

Which meant it was Gold's turn, now.

She straightened up a bit more, trained her eyes on the ball. Then Lori nudged it in her direction, and Gold grinned. She really had expected a ... more vicious shot. "Score," she chuckled, as she managed to stop the ball, and pass it on with a bright, very red-heeled kick. It was sort of funny, you know, how she was playing football in HEELS.

Yeah, she had run in those, but football? Nope, she had never played it in heels, before. Heelball, hehe!

Kylie went up to Destiny, "I can?" She meant to say 'I can help.' but it came out as more of a 'Yes I can help?' sort of thing. "Just drop the ball." She was ready with her foot to juggle it upwards a couple times with her feet and then dribble around.

Oh yeah. Football was definitely something she was good at.

"I was directing that question towards you, Cadence." he said as another girl came to thier group. "Hello. I'm Nate. How are you?" he said trying to make friends.
