Muggle Studies 1
 

Upon entering the Muggle Studies classroom you will find that there are no desks and chairs instead there is a huge field of grass for you to sit down on.

Professor Lawson is standing by the door waiting to usher in the students for their first lesson of the term. "Please come in and find yourselves a piece of grass and park your behinds on it." He sincerely hoped that they taken note of the special requirements and worn something comfortable.



ooc: My apologies for the delay, I had a few technical issues this morning.

Chris walked though the door into the once familiar Muggle Studies Room to find a feild of grass. Ok...

He walked forward and then saw Professor Lawson, so it's true that he was moved to this position? What did Professor Dumont teach now?

"Hello Professor how are you today?" he asked as he took a seat in the grass infront of the teacher. He had worn his muggle outdoors clothes.

With hands shoved deep into his pockets, Jake entered the class wearing an old pair of faded jeans and a dark green hooded sweatshirt. He avoided even looking at Lawson as he moved into the class and as far away from the man as possible, staring down at the grass as he sat with his back up against the wall.

Muggle Studies, Muggle Studies...Muggle Studies!!

Annie had been waiting for that class foreversss!!! And as soon as she entered the classroom, she opened her eyes wide as seeing that stretchy land of grass inside room. Wow...

"Wow..." Cough, not meant to be heard. She stepped in, and instantly by the door, Professor Lawson was there. Wasn't he the DADA professor last term? Well, that's what Em told her...but okays. "Good day, Professor..." She greeted with a smile. "Anna Robles, Ravenclaw..." She introduced herself and offerered her hand for a shake. Emm, human contact...just for this exception.

After greeting Professor Lawson, she headed herself to sit on the grass. OH, the memories. She missed her soccer trainings. Sniff.

Or maybe they'll try something similar, muggle sports, maybe? Well, at least Annie was wearing her comfy sweatpants and sneakers, along with a sports shirt. It was similar to her training uniform, but all coloured unconvined. She just was useless in that matter so.

Thalia entered the muggle studies classroom in her GIRL skateboarder sweatshirt and her favorite pair of destroyed jeans. Along with that she wore her checkered Converse. "Hello Professor," she smiled and took a seat on the grass away form most of the students. Today would be a great day.

Oooh, new class!

Gold stepped in, glanced at her surroundings, and smiled a pretty smile. Which was when she saw Prefect Potter. She gave him a little wave as she found herself a piece of grass beside him, and sat down.

Now for this lesson to begin. Hopefully, it would be a pretty good one. Gold really couldn't wait to learn more!

Rawrr.

Avery walked into the room and sat down. She had noticed they had to wear muggle clothes. She made sure t do so. She was in a black tshirt and worn out jeans with her usual black converses. Avery had her hair in a loose bun. She was curious what they would be learning. Maybe something about sports? She was very good at this class. She did attend quite a few muggle schools after all. "Hello professor", Avery smiled. She didn't even know the teacher. it was her first class she had gone to and this was her first year at Hogwarts. She went to Bauxbatons previously.

Allison wasn't sure if she should be there seeing as all these older students were already in seats. However she saw no harm in attending the class...there was one other first year. Finding a seat on the grass Allison waited to see if the professor would mind first year students to attend. Just in case she didn't take out her quill her parchement for notes.

She was fairly confident for this class and believed she could pick up more information for her brother. He loved muggles, and although Allison lived among them she knew she missed some things that magic took over in her life. Wearing a comfortable gray skirt with matching tights and royal blue t-shirt, Allison looked around to see if she would be kicked out soon.

Josh walked into the Muggle Studies classroom happily because he was free of the usual school robes and was wearing a football (soccer) uniform along with respective shoes and accessories for that sport. And to celebrate this he even did not take a book or parchment with himself, only his wand since it was like they had to carry it around everywhere. And, yes, the wand was serious and necessary.

Surprisingly he found a field of grass instead of the usual class. YAY! How consistent with his outfit. Great! ''Hello professor!'' oooo that was Lawson, so he was really teaching Muggle Studies by now. Obviously. Waving at him he turned around to face the students ''HELLO EVERYONE!'' then got himself busy with finding somewhere nice to settle himself down.

Danika walked into the Muggles Studies class. She found a seat in the back of the class. She did not know most of the students in this class. She sat down and pulled out her things she would need for class.

Wearing her favorite and most comfortable pair of shorts, a short sleeve shirt along with one of her older pair of shoes (like three months ago), she rounded the corner for the Muggle Studies class, expecting to see Professor Dumont there.

That... definitely was not Professor Dumont, but Professor Lawson.

At every step, she had to fight to keep the laughter down, and trying her hardest not to look at him. So this was his new position that he wouldn't speak to them of. Muggle Studies Professor. It...was...hilarious! She was totally expecting him to be the Astronomy teacher, but this was way funnier. Not being able to handle it, a few snickers escaped as she walked right up to him. "G-good... she started, though it was quite obvious that she was holding back a long laugh that would surely appear if she spoke anymore. But she had to. "Good day Professor."

Walking into the classroom, covering her mouth as she finally let out the laugh, she noticed everything was green. Grass in a classroom. Strange yet interesting. Chuckling, she set down her bag towards the back and sat down, laying out her legs in front of her and leaning back slightly, completely oblivious to everyone else. Professor Lawsguini. Muggle Studies teacher. *snort*

Dalanie walked into the classroom and saw grass. She sat down a comfortable spot and relaxed. This was the class she was worst at but it was worth it to be here.

Daniel entered the Muggles Studies classroom and he smiled at the Professor when he passed by him. "G'day Professor. How are you today?" he asked and smiled and looked around.

No desks, just grass and tons of it. He then heed the request of the Professor to find a spot to park our behinds. He then sighed and got what he thinks is the best place to be listening to a lecture.

After sitting, he opened his bag and took a parchment and a book about Muggles. He also grabbed another book entitled, 'The Divine Comedy'. It looked really old. Of course it is, he got it from the darkest corner of their library.

Kay walked up to the door and WOW. "Hi Professor Lawson. Wow this is great." Kay smiled to him as she walked into the lovely room. Grass everywhere. Now Kay knew why he said to dress like this. Kay had on her favorite blue jeans with the holes in the knees and her nice grey and red t-shirt that Harry had got her. She walked over to a nice place and sat on the ground. Kay hoped the someone she knew would sit by her.

Destiny was not in a good mood. Already the start of term and she had gotten into two arguments with people. Couldn't people take jokes now a-days? Apparently not.

She made her way to the Muggles Studies classroom, not really paying attention to who or what was there. Not to be rude she greeted the professor that was standing there with a simple head nod and headed to an empty patch of grass. Uggghh, grass? She looked up at whoever she just greeted, and her eyes fell on the last person she expected to find, Lawson.

Was she in the right room? Well she had to be, since everyone else was here. 'You..Muggle Studies?' she asked trying to hold in her laughs. 'This is worse than the kitchens!' Where was Evelyn??

Marie walked into the Muggle Studies class wearing comfy jeans and a t-shirt. Looking around she was surprised to find there were no desks, instead there was grass on the floor and Professor Lawson standing just inside the door. ""Hello Professor Lawson, how are you?"

Seeing Kay she was about to go sit by her but then changed her mind and sat by herself when she seen Destiny and Evelyn too. Marie did not want to be in the middle of anything that was going on between the three girls so thought it was better to not sit with any of them for now.

Miranda walked towards the door but stopped right before entering. She was confused... "Good Day, Professor... Erm, sorry, sir, I thought this was the Muggle Studies lesson?" She asked in a low voice after seeing the DADA Professor standing there. But...he was giving instructions and obviously alot of students were already sitting inside on...Grass? How cool!

Well, maybe she should just sit down... On the grass! And errr...somwehre not too close to Ollie. Heh.

Ziva was excited as she entered through the Muggle Studies door, dressed in jeans and one of Asher's t-shirts with a pair of stylish muggle sneakers on. She smiled at everyone, and waved at a few random people, she waved at Professor Lawson but strayed away from the overly used "Hello Professor how are you?" line, instead saying "Ready for a great term Professor?" she asked as she took a seat on the very green grass.

Ziva liked the new change to the room. She wouldn't make as much noise due to the fact she couldn't sit still longer than a minute.

Pierre walked into the classroom and was shocked to find it covered in grass. He had worn an old pair of jeans and a t-shirt, having read the note on the Slytherin Notice Board. He nodded politely at the pressure and went and found a seat. He looked around at everyone else that was there. They all seemed to be pretty comfortable. Pierre on the other hand wasn't. He never liked classes like this. He found most of the time not a lot of learning got done during them.

Oliver was watching the students file in through the door and found each and every one of their reactions to the grass rather entertaining. With smirk fixed in place, it only grew when Miranda wandered in and asked the professor that question. Screwing up a bit of parchment into a ball, he threw it with precision at the back of her head to get her attention. Heh. “Oi! Rodent Girl! Muggles have grass too you know?” He grinned at her and beckoned her over with a wave of his hand.

"Just great, thank you Chris" Marcus replied giving the Prefect a smile.

Marcus raised an eyebrow at Jake as the boy walked passed him without a word but he decided not draw attention to it...for now.

Giving the Ravenclaw a smile, Lawson extended his hand and shook the young girl's. "Pleasure to meet you Anna. I hope you enjoy the class."

"Heya Oliver, how ya doin?"

"Hello Thalia" he said returning her smile.

"Hello to you as well, glad you could make it today" Lawson said giving the girl a warm smile.

"Yo Josh, good to see ya."

Hmm...he knew that he was going to suffer heckling from some of the students and of course he had expected nothing less from Evelyn. Lawsom merely smiled at the girl and nodded his head in greeting. "Good day to you too Evelyn."

We'll see who was laughing at the end of the lesson.

"Thank you Arya, yeah I thought it was pretty cool."

"I am very good Daniel, thank you for asking" Lawson replied gesturing towards the grass.

"Thank you Kay, I am glad that you like it."

Oh and here comes Tweedle Dee. "Uh huh" Marcus nodded and raising an eyebrow at Destiny. "For you perhaps."


Lawson chuckled softly as he made his way to stand in front of the students. "Well it's nice to see you all here today and yes as most of you have noticed, I am no longer teaching DADA." He then proceeded to give them all a look which clearly said 'and do not ask why.'

"Okay so before we get into what I have got planned for this lesson. Who can tell me what the definition of a muggle is?"

Kylie raised her hand politely, "Professor, a muggle is wizard-talk for a non-magical human." She loved the feeling of sitting on grass.
