Upon entering the Muggle Studies classroom you will find that there are no desks and chairs instead there is a huge field of grass for you to sit down on.
Professor Lawson is standing by the door waiting to usher in the students for their first lesson of the term. "Please come in and find yourselves a piece of grass and park your behinds on it." He sincerely hoped that they taken note of the special requirements and worn something comfortable.
ooc: My apologies for the delay, I had a few technical issues this morning.

She bounced it off the ground a few times. It appeared to be made of leather. Ouch.
Well, she would just... push the ball around a bit and not kick it too hard. Now to find a partner. Around her, everyone joined up in groups and began moving the ball around enthusiastically. Kiri looked around, as much to find a person without a partner as to see if there was anyone nearby who looked as if they were about to kick the ball so hard it would smack into Kiri's head.
There was no-one in the latter category (so far), but Kiri did spot a somewhat lost-looking girl a few metres away. Jumping a ball that was being passed between two students, she hurried over to the girl and poked her upper arm with a finger. "Hey," Kiri said, and held up the ball. "Partner up?"
Taking another rather assessing look at the people in the room, Lorelai's brown eyes fell on a younger looking boy with PEOPLE surrounding him. Not that he seemed to be much of a celebrity. SHE hadn't met him yet. So that made him nothing more than a student. But... On further assessment she spotted BLOOD. A bloodied hanky or something of that sort. Oh god almighty. She didn't do well with blood, neither did her mother. Hereditary.
Obviously not, because they weren't really related.
So she looked away, and found comfort in pulling her hair up and putting it into a loose pony tail, leaving her fringe and random strands of hair down. And once her arms relaxed back down to her sides she was being POKED. Only once, but the poking concept was still there. "Er.." You just poked me. Partnering UP? NO. If anything she wanted to say that. But like, you know. She was GOING to be nice in class, outside however. She wasn't.
"Sure. Bear in mind, I cant kick a ball to save anyones life."

Evan smirked, then his eyes caught another red. Jake's nose was... bleeding? And from the look of the situation, it was a job of Josh. He let out his breath like he'd expect such a behaviour only from Josh. And he realised it'd give him a chance of attack without getting dirty.
"Nobody wants to pair up with violent and crazy Josh? How sad... Tut tut. Just try not to kill us, can you do that?" He gave an exaggerated fake look of worry. Well, what could you expect from a Gryffindork who supported Manchester United anyway? Be human, civil and play sportsmanlike? Not something he'd see in this world.
Oh, was Marie stressed a little? Well, she shouldn't be. Josh was seriously a piece of cake. He was about to put his foot on the ball when Joshua had already started dribbling it. That little sneaky devil. Evan ran to tackle him cleanly. He slided, being extremely careful to touch only the ball. He didn't know if Joshua was good enough to stay on his feet and pass him, but he needed to stop. How would they determine who was the winner with no goal? The blondie yelled "Stop! How will we decide who is the winner?" Stupid Joshua acting without thinking again. Snort. A dork and a Manchester fan. How bad could a person's choice get?
Whoa, what was going on here? Jake bleeding and Josh getting yelled at and Evan telling Josh to try not to kill them. They hadn't even started to play yet and things were getting violent. Maybe Josh would get in trouble then she would just be partnered with Evan again.
She watched as Josh took the ball from Evan and acted like he was innocent to those yelling at him. 'Jerk!' she thought as she turned back to Evan when he yelled for them to stop. "Umm, we're keeping score? I thought we were just practicing here, not really playing a game." Sure, Evan was a good teacher, but had she been a good student, did she know enough to actually do this? Then again, it was two on one right now since Jake was bleeding and not actually playing with Josh.
Looking back at Evan she gave him a look of I'm with you, I can do this.

With a glance in Jake's direction, Kiri said, "I don't think that'll be a problem. How about we just, you know... pass the ball back and forth a bit?" She looked around uncertainly. Quite a few of the students were really getting into it now (as evident by Jake's accident), laughing and calling out each other's names as the ran back and forth across the grassy classroom.
Which was something else that had thrown Kiri a bit at first. But the general effect of it was kind of nice, now that she thought about it. Decent piece of magic by Professor Lawson, she had to give him that. The grass looked real.
And now she was going to have to play football on it. "'m Kiri, by the way," she told the girl, then turned around to put a bit of distance between the two of them. How far away should she walk? Kiri turned the ball around in her fingers thoughtfully. A few metres would probably do - too far, and the ball would almost certainly get lost on the way, too close... well, it was probably going to get lost as well, then, behind the girl.
She stopped. Yes , this distance would do. She smiled uncertainly at the girl, then dropped the ball onto the floor.
Then she put her foot on top of it. Rolling it back and forth a little, she tried to get a feel for the ball. With the flats she was wearing, she could curl her feet around the curved surface, but that was probably not a good thing - the heavy leather looked as if it was able to make things... painful.
There was only one way to find out, though. Kiri put her foot behind the ball, then gave it a forceful kick. It spun away in the direction of the girl she'd partnered up with.
Ok, enough jogging. Cela could carry on streaching . Barry knew her well enough to know she wouldn`t mind, she did weird things even if no one else did. Barry knew he should be more like her but he wasn`t.
Oh and new person. New people Barry liked. He didn`t have nearly as many freinds as Cela so he needed to catch up "Hey, nice to meet you" he said holding out his hand "So are you good he asked?" trying to sound nice and freindly

Oh and did they want him to streach? Barry streching? Nooo. They were not going to see him strech. Unless everyone else did it. He just ran on the spot which was still looked stupid but Barry had to do something.
Oh and was the slytherin girl going to join them or not?
Kay got up from where she was sitting. She looked around and saw Barry. Walking over to him she hoped he would let her be in his group. Being in the Magical Five hopefully he would. "Hi, Barry could I please be in your group. I don't seem to have a partner." Kay asked wish Rex was here and not in the Hospital wing.

Back and forth? That could be good. And un-painful. And no grass stain enducing. Hopefully not grass stains. They were hard to get out of knees. "Shoooooore...." Lorelai nodded a little bit. "You might need protective gear. And to wrap yourself in bubblewrap. This could turn out lethal." For either one of them, that was. GAH. Ball = pain.
"Lorelai." She commented quickly, as she tugged at the end of her denim shorts once and then frowned a little bit. Okay. That distance seemed WAY to far. "Cant we just pass it like thirty centimeters distance?" She piped quickly, but too late. The ball was kind of coming in her direction.
SQUEAK. SQUEAL.
Shielding her face with her arms, Lori put one foot out with the bottom of it facing the ball, just waiting for it to slot in there and probably go THROUGH her foot. Balls went fast at times. She had seen it on her television. SEEN IT. But within moments of thinking that, the ball had safely stopped in her foots path. Unshielding her face she beamed a bit and took her foot off the ball, looking over at Kiri. "I STOPPEEDD ITTT!" Giggle.
Oh, now for the forth bit of the back and forth plan. Closing her eyes quickly, Lori gave a little tap of the ball with her toes and attempted NOT to watch where it went.

Iris listened to Lawson talk, and grinned mentally. Boohyah. 2 points for her. She stood up and looked around the classroom ... No Aaron, No Satine. However, she did see that BLUE Footie Jersey. Eugh. Good job the SCOUSE had found his three partners. Though she did have a sudden, new found respect for the kid in the RED Jersey. Good Boy, At least one of them had some sense.
She looked around everyone and looked quickly for some kids who looked partner-less. Great, she seemed like the only one. Paah.
Kiri was a little amused by the antics the girl - Lorelai? - displayed. She hadn't kicked the ball that hard, had she? It sort of bounced along at ground level in the general direction of where the girl stood, looking as if she was about to dash for cover.
And shielding her eyes? Very bad idea. Now she wouldn't see anything at all. "Erm... you stopped it, yep. Well done," Kiri called out, grinning. "I think you should watch where it's going, though. Could be a bid dangerous otherwise, you know?"
But apparently Lorelai didn't listen. She closed her eyes... again, then just sort of prodded the ball. It tumbled away to Kiri's right. Dodging another group of playing students, Kiri hurried over to retrieve it. The girl was wearing shoes that were similarly unsuitable, same as Kiri. But Lorelai's appeared to have a thick line of rubber running around the shoes' edges, whereas Kiri's were mainly cloth.
So far, however, her feet didn't hurt. Not wanting to pick the ball up (which was apparently very much forbidden in football), on her way back she tried the "dribbling" Professor Lawson had talked about. It was easier than she thought it'd be. The ball responded to every small nudge, and when she passed the other students, she just put one foot on top of it and sort of rolled it along.
"Alright, let me try again!" Kiri called out to Lorelai. This time, she hit the ball with the inside of her foot - she'd spotted several people doing just that, and it made it easier to control the ball's direction. It also meant not subjecting her toes to the full force of the kick. The ball rolled quickly towards Lorelai.

Tobias spotted an older girl who looked alone. He jumped on the opportunity, stuffing his notes and quill and ink into his book bag and rushing over to her.
"Do you need a partner?" he asked, out of breath. "Because I do too!"
So she looked away, and found comfort in pulling her hair up and putting it into a loose pony tail, leaving her fringe and random strands of hair down. Lori Louuu.
Gold snuck up behind Lorii, and tapped her shoulder a bit. This was the moment Lori kinda stepped forward? Something of that sort. To talk to a Slytherin Gold certainly did not know.
"Loriii," she said cheerfully. "Can I join you two?"
Yeah, she wanted to team up with Lori Louu. Because Lori Louu was warm and awesome and, of course, her bestie.
Ooooh! Candy's eyes totally lit up. They darted round the room, wondered which two or three people she could partner up with and saw a guy she did not know. But he SEEMED to be looking for a partnah!

Iris smiled at the boy as he came over ... Ahh. No uniform ... That really didn't help her figure out his house. Never mind, it wasn't important. Not that much, anyway.
"Yeah ... Looks like I do." She studied him for a moment, and guessed that he was a second year. He looked younger than her, but too old to be a firstie. "One second, Kiddo."
She skipped - yes, actually skipped - over to the box thing where Lawson had all the Footballs, and he rummaged through them until she found the one that seemed to be inflated just right. 'Twas important in the Game, to have a correctly inflated ball. Iris carried it over to the smaller kid and held it out to him.
"Have you ever played Football before? Or is it completely new to you?" She asked him curiously ... she'd not played it for about 4 years, but she was still pretty good... It would be cool if this kid knew how to play (even if it was only a teeny bit) just because of how over-inflated Cartwright's head had seemed to have gotten since the start of the lesson.
Satine glanced around a little worried about playing the game. She was not athletic at all, plus she was in heels. She too her purple heels off and ran over to Iris to see if she could join in.
"Hey stranger!" she said with a smile and a hand up to offer a high five. "Hey can I join ya'll? I'm a little nervous about this and I know you won't laugh at me...well too bad at least." she said with a wink.

DRATS. "That was intended for you.. Just failed a bit." She called out as Kiri ended up having to go and collect their ball. WITHOUT using her hands. Oh god. Kiri was dirbbling the ball. "Dont fall." She pleaded in a bit of a whisper, but breathed a sigh of relief as Kiri dirbbled it sucessfully back to where she had previously been standing and then KICKED the ball again.
"We did one back and for- Ow." Stupid ball, had the the OPPOSITE foot as to which she was going to stop it with. "One more forth and we can st-"
Stop.

Tobias looked up as a fourth person joined them; now their group was at its limit. Then he noticed her gender. Eeep. A third girl. Him and three girls.
Tobias didn't mind girls, since he lived with two women and no male influence, but three teenage girls was another matter entirely. He wished Chaucer was here. Although Chaucer playing Football, or any sport for that matter, was nearly impossible to imagine.
"I'm Tobias," he said, more because he felt it would be helpful to do this passing stuff if they knew each others names.

"This is my best friend, Gold. Can she join us?"
"Lori Louuu."
Gold grinned at Lori, and tucked a bright red bang behind her ear. That was ... kind of her signature action, now. She had been doing it so much lately, she wouldn't be surprised if people could identify her for it.
"The-girl-who-tucks-the-red-bang-behind-her-ear" -- yeah, the point where they called her that, it wasn't far away.
She tapped her simple-styled, red heel on the ground, and waited for the Slytherin to reply.
Oh goshhh! They were supposed to be playing football here and what was Blake doing? Making paper airplanes! But he had no other option since he didn't like playing football with his feet and also, they needed partners. Just..GREAT! Everyone was already partnered. BOO! Shredding about 8 airplanes to pieces, Blake stood up and cleared his throat, "ANYONE WANTS A PARTNER? I'M FREEEE!" He shouted and waved his hand about. He plopped down and folded his arms. Partner needed..NOW!
Lucy looked up at the sound of a familiar voice--it was Blakey. She smiled to herself and walked over to him. Unfortunately, it looked like someone else had already claimed him as her partner. Lucy looked over at the girl and then back at Blake. "Umm, can two become three? I'd like to see your skills, Blakey," She said in a pouty voice. She hated being partnerless.
Tobias turned to face the girl approaching them. She looked...hyper. And younger, although that could just have been from the excitement permanently ingrained in her eyes.

"You don't know her NAME?" Candy asked with a grin. You could tell she was named Candy because she was ... HYPER!
"Well, I'm Candy!" she grinned. "You're Tobias," she added, because he had just told another girl that. THREE GIRLS! Wow. Poor alonish guy! "Do we already have a football? Or should I get one?"
She looked around for the ball in her excitement and spotted it with the older girl whose name Tobias didn't know.
This was SO COOL!

Arya's yes lite up when Lawson told the to get and groups and dribble a soccer ball. Even though it wasn't playing soccer it was better than talking about the sports history. She ran up and grabed a soccer ball, checking the air pressure before running back over to Allison. As she waited for the girl to get ready, she looked around looking for anyone to join thier group. Geting restless just standing there with the ball she began to juggle it on her knees, sometimes moving to her feet.

Iris looked down that the ball that was still in her hands. She dropped it on the floor and stopped it from rolling off with the side of her foot.
"Sooo ... " The ball was on the floor, but who wanted to start?

She looked around for the ball in her excitement and spotted it with the older girl whose name Tobias didn't know.
This was SO COOL!
Iris looked at the girl in shock. Hyperactive much ? Iris pointed to the ball by her foot. "Football - Check." She grinned, "it seems as though your names had a bit of an effect on you. Seeing as your SO enthusiastic, would you like to start us off?" She asked politely, gently kicking the ball towards her.

Reason: adding Candy ;)
Cadence went to the front of the classroom and grabbed a football. Uuuuuugh... since when do we have to take physical education at Hogwarts? But maybe it won't be so bad if she can get the cute boy who passed her the note to be her partner.
She walked over to him, holding the football between her arm and hip, and smiled at him. "Would you like to be my partner?" she asked in a sweet voice.

"We did one back and for- Ow." Stupid ball, had the the OPPOSITE foot as to which she was going to stop it with. "One more forth and we can st-"
Stop.
Lori tapped the ball again with her toes. Using the inside of her foot would probably fail, and she wasn't doing THAT. And off it went in Kiri's direction, more sucessfully about staying on track now.
SHOULDER TAP. Only Goldie did those. Well, only to Lori anyways, Kiri just arm poked. Whipping her head around Lori grinned, and hugged her Prefect Gold aka Best Friend Prefect. "Goldiieeeee." She sang and turned back to Kiri.
"This is my best friend, Gold. Can she join us?"
Lorelai was fast improving. The second time she kicked the ball, Kiri only stepped sideways a little bit to line up with the ball. She shifted her foot to present the inside again, figuring that this would stop the ball most efficiently and easily.
Which it did, but not before bumping hard against Kiri's exposed ankle; she wasn't wearing any socks. She hissed in surprise and pain. Apparently this was more complicated than it looked - which was yet another surprise for Kiri because none of the football players she'd ever seen seemed able to command more than a few braincells at the same time. Next time, Kiri decided, she was going to stop it with the sole of her foot.
Preparing another kick - and wondering what else they could do now that they'd managed a few successful passes back and forth - Kiri noticed a third girl hovering nearby. She looked as if she was about to jump in and join them... And Kiri was right, she was. Apparently she and Lorelai knew each other?
"Gold? Precious name," said Kiri with a bright smile, unable to stop herself. "I'm Kiri. Erm... what should we do next? More passes? We could stand in a triangle... Or something else?" She rolled the ball around with her foot indecisively. "This isn't really that interesting, I think."

Cadence walked a little bit away so that they wouldn't be close to the other people in the class and set the ball down on the grass. She dribbled it between her feet for a few seconds and then passed it to the boy who had passed her the note. Sure, maybe she had hated phys. ed. class at school, but Cady was actually very good with her feet and thus football came easy to her. Her Muggle school had wanted her to play for the school team next year, but unfortunately for them Cady knew she'd be off to Hogwarts. Yes, soccer was much easier than flying for Cadence.
