Fia looked back to Miles. It was her turn to be confused. "Remember the last class that Professor V had and I found the piece of bloody robe? He helped me. I need to thank him since this is....well...just closure, you know."

Really, the change of subject was needed as that was just a mental issue she wish she could forget. "Andddd what if we could....maybeeee...talk Bothari to...sortaaa...hang back. Give us a little more room?" Because if she/he/they were going to finally get to speak about the promise ring then they needed to make it a happy family of three and not the simple two in a relationship. "Something's gotta give!"

Miles looked thoughtful for a moment and then realized what Fi was talking about. "Ohhhh...Sorry. I've not...really been here lately." His lips grew tight and he glanced at her. Should he tell her? Well all he knew is what other people had said..."Fi...I..." Hmm...how to phrase this. He didn't really know.

His attention drew away and he found himself staring down the corridor. As Fi spoke again he shook his head and looked at her as his attention was caught, "Talk about Bothari hanging back?" He laughed slightly and stopped walking to lean against the wall, looking at her. "What you don't like Bothari lurking?" Smirking his eyebrows drew down and the smile fell from his lips as Fi yelled, "What do you mean?"

Fia stopped pulling Miles to face her. There was a look about him that told her he wanted to say something. "You can't hide it, Miles. You should just go ahead and say what you were about to say." What did he have to say? She knew something was there and he was not going to get away from him easily this time.

"I do like Bothari, I just...want some...grown up time. I feel like he is watching our every move, though he's failed miserably at times. Especially when you ran into the tree and no one could keep up with you and your hyperness."

Miles turned to face Fia and a painful expression came to his eyes, "I...I don't know. That's just it." He leaned against the wall and closed his eyes, "I don't remember what happened that night. It's like...a blur...I remember blinding pain...but that's about it." He opened his eyes and looked at Fia worriedly. "People have told me...that I went nuts basically. I started freaking out and wouldn't let anyone touch me. I complained of a splitting headache and...seemed out of my mind." His eyes met hers and he swallowed. "I'm worried."

"Well he is watching our every move. That's his job and a hard one at that since I don't sit still well." He sighed and looked at Fi and said with a smirk, "I'll talk to him if you talk to him with me." Adult time though..hmmm..something told him that wasn't going to happen though. He looked down at her hand and smiled as he saw the ring. "That suits you you know. Think I did a good job there."

A worried look crossed her face as Fia heard Miles speaking of that night. She knew exactly what he was speaking of. "That was the night that..." she broke off momentarily but it was not like her to NOT finish her statement and say what was on her mind. "You...hurt me that night. My feelings. It was as if you didn't trust me anymore." THAT she didn't like at all.

"I will do whatever you ask of me to do, as long as it is legal." Yeah! She had to explain things the way they were meant to be explained. Her eyes then fell to the ring that he gave her, a promise of his love. "It does look good, doesn't it?" He did a wonderful job, but then again she would love anything he got her.

Miles looked at Fia as she spoke and then didn't finish her sentence. "That was the night that what Fi?" She had never not finished a sentence before...she never cared whether what she said he'd like or not that was one thing he loved about her. "I...I did what?" He moved closer toward her and wrapped his arms around her. "I'm sorry Fi." He wasn't quite sure what he'd done though. "You know I never want to hurt you. I trust you with my life." In fact he had before.

"Well that eliminates some fun things," he said with a smirk. "So...what exactly do we tell him the reason is? Because if we say because we want to be alone that's not going to happen." Glancing down at the ring again and then back up at her he smiled and gave her a kiss, "Absolutely."

Fia's eyes glanced down. She knew that Miles never intended to hurt her, just as she never intended to hurt him. "But...it was as thought you didn't trust me," she spoke softly, saying her exact feelings and getting things out in the open rather than keep them hidden. "That's how I felt. You...wouldn't tell me what was wrong. I felt so...helpless. The first time I feel as though I have failed to keep you safe."

She couldn't help but grin to his next statement knowing that he was being his flirty self, something she adored. "I don't know what we will tell him but, I bet we can come up with something between now and then."

Miles looked at Fi and as she looked down at the ground fiddled with a button on his shirt that was untucked. "I'm sorry." He kept his eyes on her and bit his lip. "I don't know what was wrong with me...but I'm sorry. That's kind of what I wanted to talk to you about Fi." He shifted his weight slightly and moved his hands to his pockets, "I think I need to see a doctor. I don't know what was wrong but I know whatever it was, by the way the nurse was looking at me, it was bad."

He nodded slowly though he still looked worried. He needed someone to talk to about what happened. He needed her to realize how scared he really was without him telling her. And most of all...he needed to do this now instead of later. "Let's...go down to the feast and come up with ideas as we eat," he said with a lopsided grin and headed toward the stairs.
