There was absolutely no way Professor Duskurk would open his classroom without being present. He had carefully arranged the desks into a horseshoe around the very edge of the classroom so that everyone had a clear view of the blackboard at the front of the classroom and the center floor. In front of the blackboard was a small table covered with a black cloth. There were clear outlines of something other than the table under the cloth, but that was all. Professor Duskurk stood beside the door with a clipboard. "Please state your name and then take the first desk available, working clockwise around the room," he said in a no nonsense voice as each student entered the room. ooc: please act as if your character has been here the whole time if you don't get online before we begin and just add an ooc note for me with your character name. Your names will be added to the roll in the order in which you join us. Quote:

Flashing the other students a smile, she wandered over to the next open desk, which happened to be by a slytherin that she didn't know.

Blink. DADA. Unknown teacher. Just. Just wonderful. Livvy would have to have a whole new crazy Defense Against the Dark Arts with a whole new different teacher. Why had the staffing become so insane? So many new teachers! And to make matters worse... the new DADA professor sort of intimidated her. He had... the LOOK. And it scared her a bit. But no matter. Ravenclaw needed her so she'd have to survive and just deal with it. PFFT. Nothing scares the Livmeister!
And into the classroom she walked, nodding her head at the professor that stood by the door. Scary man. "Olivia Zhang, sir," stated Livvy, just as she had been instructed by the professor... and she made her way to the next empty desk. Next to... someone... she... didn't... knooowwww.. Yayyy.
And with that. Class began. Blink. That was rather quick. Livvy sure liked blinking.
She pulled out a piece of parchment and a quill, preparing herself for the lecture. Lectures... were boring. Yet sometimes enjoyable. She rather enjoyed Lawson's DADA lecture last term. Livvy sure hoped that this man's lecture wouldn't make her want to kill herself. Fingers crossed!

Ok so Dylan now had to attend a lecture. He pulled out his quill and parchment from his bag. He made sure he had his blue one. He only wrote in blue. He saw Jake stand up. Nooo don't leave Jake. He breathed again, as he sat down. He reached over with an arm and placed it on Jake's shoulder, "It's ok man. I am here with ya."

Bella knew she wasn't going to leave and miss class, so she stayed seated with a peace of parchment out ready do take notes if needed.

Introduction to the Dark Arts, I thought the class is suppose to be Defense Against the Dark Arts. This should be interesting. Sidney looks directly at Professor Duskurk. Even at a distance, she can still feel the chill he emits. Cold as ice and just as hard. I knew I should have warned him I'm not very good at magic. I'd hate to increase his tempature with my haphazard magic. Poor man might melt. | |

She shook her head before reaching inside her school bag and pulling out some parchment. Placing the parchment on her desk, she then took some ink and a quill from her bag and placed it next to her parchment. There. Now she was reading to take some notes.

Satine hurried to DADA almost skipping to the door. She was startled to find the Professor waiting outside. She slightly curtsied and said, "Howzit Professor." as she extended her hand towards him..."I'm Satine Farris, third year Ravenclaw." she said with pride and peeked over the edge of the clipboard to make sure he wrote everything down correctly. She hurried to her seat.
And then class began that quickly. She began taking notes instantly.

Oh my MERLIN this man was a creeperrrrr! Jack could almost feeeel his blood freeze as the man looked at everyone directly in the eye...was that really necessary? He had heard of teachers being strict to try and earn respect but if that was what he was attempting to do it was just plain ridiculous!
Lectures...ok. That sounded boring. But Jack was NOT about to leave. He was sure they'd learn something useful eventually from the lectures, although now that he knew all he would be taking was notes, he was starting to miss Lawson like WHOOOOA. He pulled out his parchment immediately and grabbed his quill, poised and ready to start scribbling away.

Nancy had seriously felt the urge to not show up at all to this lesson. How could he go and complain to Professor Lupa about their "rude" behavior?!
After having stated her name - and yes, had greeted the professor as well - Nancy quickly took a seat in her assigned place around the table. What. The. Heck. He had a clipboard. A clipboard with their names on it. And he seriously was going to lecture them about the Introduction to the Dark Arts? LECTURE?!
She wanted Lawson back, and NOW! Or at least Kazi. Even he was better than this Duskurk-person. Forcing a blank expression onto her face she remained seated at the table with her quill at the ready in case he would tell them something worth taking down.
Maybe they would actually learn something in this class. | |

Alexa reached into her bag and took out quill and parchment so as to take notes while Creepy McCreeperton lectured to the class.
