Oh. Cleaning spell. She understood. Leaning in a little, Wesley watched very attentively. This was nifty knowledge. But then, as the conversation turned to New York, the teenager remembered she had kind of barged into their discussion. Remembered why she had interrupted everything in the first place. One train ride with the two of them left. And then no Lemurs and no NASA. No Reese and no Jack. And, one day, no one at Hogwarts would ever remember them having been there. No one would remember Wesley either.

Not wanting to think of this horrifying concept any longer, she offered, quickly, as soon as a suitable pause had occurred for her to speak, "Well, uhhhh...have fun being a grown up!" At first she was just going to leave and not look in them in the eyes; it was too sad. But she did, because the Hufflepuff didn't want to forget their faces. Giving a wobbly smile, she turned and walked away to see if anyone was sitting all alone.

Because sitting alone was definitely not fun, so she'd sit with them, and they could sing happy songs or something. Maybe, just maybe, Wesley'd even try some Pumpkin Juice.

But probably not. That sounded too much like a betrayal.

"Awww, thanks Wesley. Have fun the rest of your time at Hogwarts!" he called as she walked away. He was slightly jealous of her...she was just starting the fun part of Hogwarts. Hehe. Hogwarts was much more fun when you were older and hormones were flying and you had the pressure of OWLS....yup. Fun fun!

He turned back at Reese and wrinkled his eyebrows. "What's Broadway?" he asked. Without waiting for a reply, he shook his head and pulled out his wand. "Reese, it is NOT going to vanish your head! That's simply just...not possible," he told her. Something that vanished your head would probably be a spell that BLEW off your head instead. Like Avada Kedavra. And since Jack wasn't using THAT to clean her face anytime soon, he knew she'd be ok.

He flicked his wrist and silently cast the Evanesco, watching the ink fly off her face. He grinned. "Thereeee. See? You still have your head intact and everything!"

Ohhhh. Apparently Healer Ashford never talked about Broadway in front of Jack. "Well, Healer Ashford said they were like a show on television, but instead it's all on stage. People sing, dance, and act!" She explained. "How cool does that sound?" It sounded awesomely awesome to her. She was about to bite into her roll until Jack said vanishing her head was not possible. "It is possible," she argued. "I'm tellin' you it is." Anything was possible with magic.

And then Jack had his wand pointed at HER again. "Jack, you know you don't want to d--" Her sentence was cut short when she felt something come off her face. OH MY MERLIN! What if it was her HEAD?! "MY HEADDD," she exclaimed, totally ignoring the fact that Jack had recently stated her head was still there, as slammed her hands against the side of her head.

Oh, wait...

"My head is still there!" She sighed in relief. Okay, all was good now! Buttttt... She took the roll that she had in her hand and threw it towards her boyfriend's head. "That was for casting on me," she explained. Casting on her without her permission. HMPH.

"Now let's find a way to get off the bloody bench," she added as she tried once more to pull herself off the bench.

Reese reached from another roll, one to eat not to throw at Jack, but her she stopped reaching for one when Jack asked why she had thrown the roll at him. "Uhhh, probably because you casted on me without my permission," she pointed out. "Not that it really matters since I trust you with my life, but... eh, I don't know. I guess I just wanted to throw a roll at you." She would always love to throw a roll at Torin for sticking her to this chair, but he was no where to be seen! Giggling a little bit, she finally got another roll off one of the plates. "And yes, I do still have my head," she added. "You better be glad I still have my head, too!" If she lost her head, Captain Jack would have been is soooo much trouble.

She blinked at her boyfriend when he finished that roll of in just a few bites. "You should eat slow," she suggested. "Eating fast like that cannot be good for your health." She shouldn't be the one talking about good health since she made chocolate frogs into meals sometimes. It was really only when she was too lazy to come down to the Great Hall, or when she was depressed. Mmm, she wanted a chocolate frog now! "Do you have a chocolate frog?" She asked.

"Evanesco...on the glue?" She questioned with an arched eyebrow. "What if you make the bench disappear?" She really needed to stop being pessimistic.

Kay sat and listened to her friends and what had been going on. She didn't know for sure if she should be sad or upset by what they had been going through. She was glad that they were such good friends and had each other to get through things. Going home sounded really good and she was happy that when she got back she would have two good friends. "Sorry thing didn't work out like you thought. Maybe things will change for the better for the both of you?" Kay wasn't sure if her dance friend would want her lisening in but hoped they wouldn't mind.

Awww. Another end of term feast. Where had the year gone really, but it had been one drama filled year. Got with one boy dumped him and got with the ex, and then there was all that trouble with the kids disappearing. Eeep. Yes one drama filled year.
Twirling a strand of blonde hair around her finger Brody entered ~~and everyone got up like to bow down to her~~ and wandered over towards the hufflepuff table, hoping to find Torin, but instead she found something quite odd.

"Reese...Jack?" Weren't they like a Slytherin and Gryffindor? So why were they seated at this table. "What are you doing here guys?" It wasn't as if Torin or anyone was here.

Cadence looked at both of the girls and then just shrugged. "I mean, I miss him, but in a way, it's sort of been easy to deal with because we broke up just a couple of days before the big fight started, so... my mind has sort of been distracted," she said before she went back to eating her food. Hogwarts food was great, but over the years she had missed her parents' food. When Avery started talking about seeing each other over the summer, Cadence just nodded in agreement because her mouth was full of food.

He looked up as a Hufflepuff approached the table--oh good Merlin he hoped they weren't taking up seats for them!--but he saw that it was Brody, Torin's girlfriend. Or, erm, last he had checked they had been dating. Ehh. He wasn't sure. Keeping track of Torin's love life was not part of his daily agenda.

"Oh hey Brody!" Jack said with a smile, trying to act like everything was completeyyyyy normal. "We're just...chilling here. What about you?" he asked.

Emalyn entered the Great Hall, hardly believing that it was the End of Term feast already. She stuffed her hands in her pockets with a deep sigh. She had only gotten back to Hogwarts a few days before, so of course it seemed sudden to have the feast to her. Liam had seemed...okay. He wasn't the worst she had seen him, nor the best. But she had to be there for him, even though she hadn't really followed through with her tiny weeny scheme from a term before.

But no matter. She was back now, and was going to enjoy the feast no matter what. Fifth year. Gone already. She would only have two more End of Term feasts to attend after this.

Weird.

She walked down the aisle of tables and sidled up to the Hufflepuff table, gazing around for a good seat. She sat down in an empty area of the table with another sigh and laid Mr. Marbles beside her on the table. She cast him a small smile (though he probably didn't care) and propped her chin up on her hand and looked around.

Sarah was late for the feast, for the simple reason that her back prevented her from rushing in her packing.As much as she would have liked to follow Healer Ashford's advice and take plenty of bed rest, the end of term was not the time for that.When she got home would be.So by the time she got down to the hall for the feast it was more or less in full flow, although the staff table seemed to be lacking...staff.

Quirking an eyebrow at it, she shrugged and wandered off in the direction of her own table.Spotting Lori, Sarah grinned to herself as she parked her bum in the empty space next to her. "Hey, Lori...you alright? You look a bit...depressed or something." Grabbing a piece of bread, she shifted position to get more comfortable, and rested her elbow on the table.Lazily chewing on said bread, Sarah gave her friend a quizzical look.Something was wrong, but she'd be darned if she could work out what it was.Mind reading was not her fortee.

Clearing her throat and glancing down the other end of the table, Sarah caught sight of Wesley chatting to Reese and Jack.She hadn't seen the youngster since before the fighting, so was immensely glad that she seemed ok.Noticing that the girl was starting to walk off, Sarah stood up and motioned at her to come over to them. "Wesley! Over here! Come join us," she grinned, waving her arm in the air like a looney.

Lorelai looked up expectantly from her nails as someone sat next to her and sighed at the sight. It wasn't that she didn't want to see Sarah, not at all on the contrary, but she kiiinda just wanted Annie right now. Or Goldie for that matter. But as soon as she realised Sarah was as much a friend as the others were she made a feeble attempt to smile. Just an attempt. "Oh, hi Sarah." She smiled again and actually took a moment to look around.

No sign.

But before she had time to perhaps excuse herself, Sarah had asked if she was okay. And it wasn't good to lie to friends. And Lori wasn't a liar and Sarah was a friend. "Er... Just a bit... Tired, you kkow. Been exhausting lately." Lori shrugged once as she did half lie, but then had to correct herself. "Okay .,. So I guess I might not be perfectly okay ... Mum might be pulling me out." as in, not coming back.

Wesley? Lori gave the other girl a little smile and a wave and then looked back down at her nails.

Up to that point Sarah had just been nodding along with what Lori had been saying, she knew how it felt to be exhausted and tired.The previous few days and weeks had taken alot out of all of them, but this - this was NOT expected.She dropped her bread roll and just stared in disbelief at her friend. "You mean you - you won't be coming back?" What was it with her friends leaving? First Mariel, now Lori.Sarah was going to start getting a complex soon.Did she smell? Lifting her arm, she sniffed under it and shrugged.Nope.

Her brain went into slight meltdown, and her mouth started moving but no words were coming out.She just couldn't think what to say.Finally one word escaped. "Why?" And more importantly - where was Lori's mum, so Sarah could try and persuade her not to do it?!

See, if Alicia had just been nice and not told her about it then she wouldn't have been depressed, and then wouldn't have had Sarah asking what was wrong, and then wouldn't have told her. So really, THIS WAS ALICIA'S FAAAAULT. Stupid adoptive mother.

"I'm um... You know.. Sorry I didn't tell you earlier, but Alicia, my adoptive so called mother, is er ... well..." Why wasn't this coming out anyway easier? Why not? WHY MERLIN AND HIS SHOE COLLECTION? WHYY? Pout. "Well.. She found out what happened and stuff, deemed it dangerous for my face, and... now she's insistent that I dont come back for next term, but I don't want to leave, really. I feel normal, weirdly, here. I really do. It's actually more of a home to me than what Jake and Alicia's house is." And. probably what her real mothers house would have been like ... if they had stayed in contact.

Blinking went on for what felt like several minutes, as Sarah waited for Lori to answer her tiny, but BIG, question.The wait was unbearable, and Lori's stuttery answer was making her eye twitch.This was not good.Not good at ALLLLLL.Why Merlin, why are you doing this? Sarah looked up at the ceiling, trying to blink back the stinging in her eyes, and hoping for an answer from the almighty wizard.None was forthcoming.

"I understand how she might be concerned about it." Boy, who wasn't?! But Sarah would never have forgiven her parents if they had done the same as Lori's mother.And they knew that, so didn't even try. "But...but...you're safer here surrounded by people who know what their doing with magic.Tell her - tell her you don't want to leave.Make her see sense!" Sarah's voice had raised slightly at the end of the sentence, as she suddenly gripped Lori's hand, not wanting to let it go. "This is home for all of us, surely she knows how important this place is?" They had stuck together during the fighting, and now Sarah did not want to be parted from her friend.Not like this.
