Miranda smiled. Yaaaaaaay, friendly people!"Nice to meet you too Tyler!" He looked a bit pensieve there for a moment and Miranda wondered what he was thinking about. "That's great, everyone should try out! So, you've never flown on a broom before?" asked Miranda, not with any hint of shock or amusement at the fact. "Well, we do have flying classes here, so maybe you'll find it fun!" Because c'mon. Quidditch was totally fun!
Miranda seemed to have a very alive spirit. Yay!"I have flown a broom, once in a while but I'm kind of don't like heights," he explained. So they did have flying lessons here. Tyler would probably be one of the first who would show up. He really did want to get rid of his small fear of heights. Yes, it was small. If it wasn't, he wouldn't be at Hogwarts right now. "Oh I think being back on a broom would be fun,"

Avery looked around. She had no one to talk to. Not many people liked her for some reason. She was nice enough but it seemed like people just had better things to do.

Thalia turned and looked at a boy talking with Emily. First year like them probably. "Hey," she smiled and waved at the kid. "I'm Thalia. You are?" she asked out of curiosity. Always nice associating herself with other house mates right?
Jace turned around, his shaggy hair falling into his eyes.
"Oh, hey. I'm Jace. Nice to meet you," He smiled his nervous smile and held out his hand.

Lawson sure did like chocolate.
Had Lawson forgotten about the amulet? According to his surprised facial expression, Reese assumed that he had. She took another sip of her pumpkin juice before repeating what she previously had said, "I'll just see you later." That settled that, right? She would have just told Lawson she needed to give him back the amulet, but there were students around that would hear it and she had promised him that she wouldn't let anyone know she had it. There was no way she was going to break that promise now when she had did good keeping it.

And that, as they said, was that.
Reese ran her finger along the side of her cup, not even realizing that Jake was glaring up at the staff table. That was until she looked back at it. "I don't really prefer the new Professors except Healer Ashord, though, she isn't technically a Professor," she replied. "But, I shouldn't judge them until I at least attend their first class." Don't judge a book by it's cover, right? Though, one of those guys was ungrateful to say 'shut your pieholes'. "The Headmaster on the other hands..." She trailed off as she slowly turned to look at the staff table.
"I miss Bontecou." Sighing, she raised her glass back up to her mouth and took another drink of pumpkin juice.

What's your favorite class?"This was a question she could ask forever, she loved hearing the older students talk about the classes. Its what she was looking forward to afterall.
Reese turned to look back at the first year when she had come back to join them. She was one little excited girl, that was certain. The Slytherin could tell by the way she was talking to her and also by her expression on her face. She smiled when the girl talked about not being able to wait for classes. "Diagon Alley and the train are both wonderful places to meet new people," she told the Hufflepuff. That was where she had met most of her friends at. "Favorite class? Hmm. Let's see...I would have to say Muggle Studies since I'm really good at it," she answered. Not that she was bragging or anything, but she did love Muggle Studies.
At the though of Muggle Studies, she turned around on the bench to have a quick glance at the staff table. Once Reese had spotted Dumont, she gave the Professor a little wave before looking back at the girl. Little did she know that Lawson was the new Muggle Studies teacher.
"What class are you excited for?" She asked. "There must be one in particular you can't wait to attend."

"Ohhhh okay," Tyler smiled. But he was obviously very different from her. He couldn't play it safe or else life would be too boring for him. But that was just Tyler's way. He wasn't going to force Cadence to do something she didn't want to.
Great, now he thought she was no fun. It wasn't that she didn't like fun; she just didn't trust herself to be out of control or to let other people be in control. "I just... it's scary..." she replied pathetically, looking at the floor and feeling totally and completely lame.

Kita overheard Rex telling someone about Hufflepuff being a formidable team and laughed. She was sure that they would be. Emily looked away for a seconed and looked at the rest of the table. She hadn't seen Arya since she had come back from the Ravenclaw table.
Thalia took his hand and shook it. "Nice to meet you as well. So, do you like being a Hufflepuff so far?" she asked him. Personally, Slytherin sucked. The stupid stupid house she just had to land herself in. Stupid. Enough complaints.
"Sure, yeah. Hufflepuff's great," Jace stumbled out, caught off guard. He smiled kindly at Thalia and asked, "Did you get the house you wanted to be in?" Some of the people he'd met in Diagon Alley had told him that Slytherins and muggleborns didn't mix, but Thalia seemed nice enough, and h wasn't one to judge people over childish things like that. He would make his own conclusions.
"Well I'm not dissappointed that you are in Hufflepuff because I made a friend. It's hard for me to make friends, I've got a nasty temper and I'm really shy." Avery smiled at her new friend they had some things in common already. "I've been looking forward to Hogwarts as well, but i was amost 9 before I showed any sort of magical talent. That's why I went to a muggle school for so long, becuase my mom was pretty sure that I wasn't a witch, but then when day I got really made and poof my dad turned into a chicken! It was funny" Avery started laughing at the thought of her dad as a chicken. It was the funniest thing she had ever seen in her life.
Anza grinned at her new friend, giggling along. " Well, I bottle in my emotions and am quite outspoken, so, we have quite the match here. And a chicken? Really? What the cluck?" She laughed harder at her corny joke, and rolled her eyes. "But, I wouldn't be offended if your went to find someone with better jokes." She grinned even more. "Well, maybe it was a blessing in disguise that I'm "Just a hufflepuff" as they said." She winked. "The others are seriously intimidating."

"No way did I. I'm a stupid Slytherin. I hoped to be a Ravenclaw but I'm stuck with Slytherin now. I'll get over it. I always do," she said to him reassuringly. "Also I'm not one of those prejudice people. Muggle borns rock to me," she smiled and blushed slightly. Okay not exactly how she wanted to say it. Better give details on why. "I lived like a muggle mostly for the past two years. I was in the US with my aunt. So muggle stuff is awesome." Most of it at least.
Upon hearing her name, Reese carefully placed her glass of pumpkin juice on the table before turning around to face this girl that she has never ever seen in her life. "Yes, I'm Reese Upstead," she finally replied. "And, you are?" She really wanted to ask how the girl knew her name, but she didn't want to seem too rude.
Delanie watched as Reese eyed her carefully. "Sorry! I must sound like a creeper, randomly asking who you are. You're one of my cousin's friends! Fallon Chanel! She showed me a picture of you and told me all about you, saying you were one of her best friends. I thought that was you! I'm Delanie. Delanie Chanel."
She smiled sweetly and stuck her hand out politely for Reese to shake. Maybe she could find a friend in someone that meant a great deal to her cousin.
Miranda seemed to have a very alive spirit. Yay!"I have flown a broom, once in a while but I'm kind of don't like heights," he explained. So they did have flying lessons here. I wasn't much into doing homework when I got here, but then I totally got that you learn from doing it." She looked like she had made one helluva point there. A second after, she waved a hand realising it had not made any sense at all. "What I'm saying issss... You should try stuff, even if you think you might not do well in them. Because you might be surprised." Yes, this made more sense.
Still oblivious to the fact that Tyler was a Ravenclaw, she added. "Hufflepuff would be happy to have a player like you."

He looked over at her, a small frown on his face. “You called me...” What was it? “...Potato locks.” urh.“All I'm saying is that if you call me by proper name, I'll respect you and call you by YOUR proper name.” It wasn't that difficult, was it? Aaaand she was being rude again. He merely shook his head and looked away this time. This girl, like all girls, was impossible.
Looking back at her, his expression smoothed out from the frown. “It's still too close to here...” He put his hand on his heart. “to talk about..." and emitted a very obviously fake sob and wiped away his fake tears. Meh. He wasn't prepared to talk to a mental girl about his reasons for having to leave Durmstrang.
He smiled wider and nodded. “Good.” He replied and cleaned up a patch of potato from under the Hufflepuff bench.
_______________
Miranda had suddenly gone all quiet as they were reprimanded by the prefect. He glanced at her to see her looking guilty and looking at her feet. His mouth curled downwards. He hadn't been expecting to see that expression on her face. Guilt. Had he taken this too far?
Naaah.
But he did reach up and pat her back gently, sad to see the fight gone out of her. He nodded to her request. “Alright.” He said gently. No more smart alec... for a little while anyway.
He became a lot more subdued as they were cleaning up, occasionally glancing over at Miranda to see how they were doing. “Hey, Miranda.” He said with a smile. “If it's any consolation, I also thought the Slytherins had a worm on their banner.” Well... that that might have been a complete lie but he wanted so badly for her to cheer up and stop being so... silent. Oliver just hated with silence.
Flick, swish...er, jab...etc... She watched another smeck of dirty potato-pea-mush vanish from a seat. Well, they didn't seem to have much left to clean now. Miranda was starting to feel tired and ...shameful. BUT TOMORROW WAS ANOTHER DAAAY! Yessir.
Dangit, when had he become the reasonable mature person in this...discussion."Allright, I'm sorry." She said genuenly. "I'll stop calling you names..."...even though they totally fit you...you curly flumperjack! Eh? She closed her eyes and sighed. She needed to stop that internal thingy aswell. It was not doing her any good. It was almost shocking to her how wild she had become...she didn't normally have all of those angry thoughts and feelings towards another. Probably because no one had actually annoyed her so much as Oliver had.
And then the theatrics arrived again, and she watched Oliver- actually he was a pretty good actor, but she wasn't going to be a reason that his head inflated more, if she told him that. Miranda merely rolled her eyes and turned to swish her wand around lazily and made what seemed to be a piece of chicken, dissapear from someone's lap. She wasn't even sure it was because of their fight or maybe the student had just dropped it there by accident. OR maybe he/she was hiding it. Snort.
Flarpitty-flarp. This day had started out pretty good, turned out to be a bit of a nightmare, and now she wondered how it would end. And he kept insisting on touching her. Although, atleast now as he patted her back, it felt friendly and not like he was merely doing it to antagonize her.
What the hell is that!? Eurgh. She made a face at something...sticky on the floor. That did not look like the peas or potatoes that had been hurled around the Great Hall. Nevermiiiiiiind, away you go...you weird thing.
And then Oliver's voice was heard. She paused and then slowly turned around, looking tired. She stared and stared some more. A worm? Haha. A smile parted her lips. Hehe, a worm. Hahaha, that would've been funny! "Yeah, it does...look like a worm...from afar." A faint chuckle was heard coming from her. And why was he telling her this? She started chewing on the inside of her cheek.
"Do...Do they have houses in Durmstrang?" Did they have animals aswell?

Jace shook his head, trying to convince himself that Slytherin's weren't bad. Hopefully Thalia would pass it off as him dissagreeing with her opinion of the Slytherin house being stupid, or an allergic reaction to Hogwarts food.
"I-I don't think that the Slytherin house is stupid. I think that all of the houses are great, but a bit unnecessary. It just puts boundaries on who you can call your friends," He smiled kindly, and worked to make his tone sound believable. "And as for muggle things, I'm not a huge fan of them. They're a health hazard, and magic makes things a whole lot easier, if used properly," He decided to change the subject. "So, you lived with your aunt? Cool, what state?"

Oliver chuckled a little and nodded in acceptance to her apology. If she didn't call him names, he wouldn't call her names... 'cept perhaps, Rodent Girl, but that was kind of endearing, right? Anyway, it suited the short legged badger chick.
Hah! As if the Slytherins were represented by a worm. It was proposterous! Oliver had known before he even came here all about the Green house. Well, his dad had been one.. and his half-sister only a year ago so, meh. Miranda didn't need to know that this. He was just happy to see a smile on her now rather tired looking face. He cleaned up the last of the muck around his area and went to help her finish off.
“Are you hungry?” He asked her. He'd not managed to get an awful lot to eat yet. As a growing lad, he needed to eat and he reckoned his sudden sympathy for Miranda was down to lack of food. Not eating did funny things to his emotions.
He swished and flicked at some juice someone had spilled and was currently standing in. Man, these kids were slobs. He didn't think he and Miranda were supposed to be cleaning up EVERYTHING but it was good practice of the spell Miranda had just shown him. He paused what he was doing and looked at her. Well... he supposed he talk about Durmstrang just as long as they avoided the reason he left. Yep – that was fine.
“Yeah.” He replied. “It's not that different from here for that. Four houses, four colours and you're sorted according to your personality.” Yep VERY like Hogwarts. “It's amazing the castle there though, you know? Smaller than this one but the grounds are massive. Plenty of room for flying.” His eyes settled on her Quidditch badge. It was really mean what she did earlier, saying there was no flying here. “You really fooled me.” He said, nodding at it. “So what position do you play, Captain.” He saluted her aaaaand, of course, smiiiiiiiirked.

"I tend to make enemies easily." she said and her smile faded. "At least back at home, and I couldn't make friends now its different." she told her.

Nodding in approval of the girl's explanation of her injuries, she couldn't help but wonder what he did to hurt it in the first place. "So what happened to cause the injury?" She asked curiously, eyes glancing around the girl to see if there were multiple visible injuries.
"Oh, I am a first year, " she had almost forgotten to answer the question, "and yourself?"
Nunually looked at Scipia as she asked her how her original injury to her arm had occurred. She thought for a bit but her memory wasn't coming. "I fell on top of a boy but again I had already injured it before that a summer..." she said and began to think. Still the memory wasn't coming. "I can't remember, I think I suppressed it..." she mumbled "But I remember I went to the hospital and I think there was blood and bone...." she said shrugging. She rolled up her sleeve and there was a long scar, as if she had been sewed up. "Stiches..." she mumbled and smiled. "I can't remember." When she heard the other question she smiled. "I'm a first year as well." she said raising her right hand in the air and smiling proudly.

"I'm Nunually, but you can call me Nulu or Nana." she said smiling and when she head the word Quidditch she smiled. She had read it was a sport and Nunually was good at sports what she did not know is that it involved flying and heights "A sport sure!" she said happily and wondered what it was like.

"Yeah I guess. So, what do you think of Hogwarts so far?" she asked him, feeling like a change of subject was definitely needed. Maybe she should go back to flirting with Tyler instead of having a serious conversation. Serious conversation was not being very flattering to her personality.
"So far..." Ty started and thought of what he could say. His mind had gone blank for some reason. "It's okay, though there had been some trouble here and there" he mumbled and remembered what Lucy did to him on the Gryffie table.

"Goodness gracious! There's trouble at Hogwarts already? What happened?" Cadence's eyes were wide with interest and she sat up a little taller. Then a thought popped into her head... I really hope that no one has died."Is everyone okay? Is someone hurt?"

It's the way you're smiling at me. It's in the way you hold my hand.
It's the way I've watched you change me from a boy into a man.
It's a million things about you, and I don't know what it is. I have never known a love like this.
"No, I've never played, but I have flown, and I'm much happier here on the ground. Quidditch is not my thing. I'm more of an artsy person than an athletic person. But thanks for the vote of confidence!" Cadence smiled at the girl genuinely and laughed a little at the thought of herself playing Quidditch.
She's never plaaaaaaaayed! Well, now was the best of times to start! Tehe! "Aw, yeah, I get that sometimes. You are probably safer with your two feet on the ground. Though nothing beats feeling the wind in your hair." She sighed content, blinked and then looked back at the girl. She's artsy!"That's awesome, maybe you could do some pretty House Pride posters or something. The Quidditch Team could do with all the support it can get." Miranda winked.
Well, she better leave the poor Badger alone to continue her eating. Merlin knows how uncomfortable she must feel having a random girl walk up to her and urge her to do something she didn't want to. Heh! "Well, you know where to find me if you change your mind, hehe. I'll leave you to your eating." With a smile, she stood up. "It was really nice talking to you. But I'm sure we'll see eachother around!"

Oh goody!"Great! They are always great fun!" Exept when you accidentally flip over in the air and land on your butt. But...she wasn't going to tell him that. So she just kept her smile. "Awesome! I'll look forward to seeing you...th..." Eh? Ravenclaw!? Miranda made a boo-boo.
Her smile twisted to an gaping grimace...kind of thing. And then she blushed. "Oh...sorry, I just assumed you were a Hufflepuff." Craning her neck a little, she glanced down at his robe and the House badge he had there on his chest. Ah, well look at that. There it is. Hmmm.
Meh. She shrugged. "Well, then you'll be trying out for the Ravenclaw team, right?" she laughed and winked at the boy. Well, she wasn't going to have him on her team, but hopefully this little conversation did some good when it came to him wanting to hop on a broom.

"Really nice to meet you..." Hmmm, which one would she pick? Maybe she could ALTERNATE! They were both pretty names. "...Nulu!" Miranda smiled then took a deep breath to continue. "Have you ever played Quidditch before? I tell you, there's nothing more awesomer, well exept for chocolate, than hopping onto that broom and FLYYYYYYYYY." Her hand rose up and she made it look like it was floating away.
