"Great to meet you too. So, do you like Hufflepuff so far? It seems like a good house. I couldn't personally see myself in it but some people are just made for it," Thalia replied with a shrug. Interacting with other houses. Something Parker would not do. She would though!

Tyler suddenly stopped when he felt something on his hand, pulling him back. He turned to see Cadence holding his hand. Ty arched an eyebrow and looked at her. He wiggled his fingers, telling her to let go. Ty chuckled and smirked, and finally turned towards her. "I'll stay, for a bit more until we have to go to our houses,"

Aww, now she was frowning. He didn't want her to frown. "I miss her." It's been less than a day and he missed her already. That was sad. But he would write to her as soon as the feast was over, like he had promised her he would. But now Sylvie was asking about Alex. "She's fine now. The new Nurse healed her but she needs to be checked on in a few days. Or something." He shrugged and started eating again.

And then she asked if he was single. Why? What did it matter? "Er, I sorta have a casual thing with this girl named Gold. But it's nothing serious. We just like each other." He nodded and wasn't sure if he should continue. Then he decided that it didn't really matter if he did or not. "Brody wasn't happy about it." And he wasn't sure if she was now for that matter.

"I am enjoying it everyone is just so friendly and great." she said smiling. "Why not? I mean are you friendly and by the fact that you talked to me I think you are." she said smiling. "I think its just a house you make yourself into what you want to be." she said smiling and sighed. "Sorry I ramble." she said

"It's alright. Don't worry." Sam didn't want Nunually to feel bad. After all, he didn't lose his father, as he never knew him to begin with.

"Um, yeah, I reckon." Samuel gave her a sort of smirk upon hearing her request.

Cadence let go of Tyler's hand as soon as she felt the first finger to wiggle. He was going to stay! She flashed him a sweet smile and patted the bench next to her, signaling him to sit back down, as she did so she moved over a little so she wouldn't be sitting so close to him. "So, TyTy, what's your story? Or is it too soon for you to tell me that? I totally understand if it is... not everyone wears their heart on their sleeve like I do."

"What do mean my story?" he asked as he walked back to the table. Seeing her patting the seat, Tyler sat down with his back to the table and legs stretched out. He arched back a bit and arched another eyebrow at Cadence. "Well?"

Cy frowned as he came back to the Hufflepuff table with no sign of Lawson, he was a great bloke, even for a Professor. Shrugging, he slipped onto the bench and began to pile food onto his plate. After a disgusting amount of food was there, he began to eat it up.

ONOMONOMONOMONOM.

The Aussie was savagely hungry, there was no denying that. Now he just needed someone to talk to, before he started talking to his chicken leg.

"Still I am sorry, I had no idea." she said and looked at him as he said was it a yes to her request a smile spread on her face. "yay, I made a new friend." she said happily and clapped her hands together. Nunually was defeneatly happy to be here and she really hoped that all of this wasn't a dream. "Yay." Nunually was so happy. She began to glow. She had made great friends today

"Are you smirking?" Emily asked, pointing to his face. "What kind of place is this? Smirky Ville or some- " she asked, throwing her hands up. "I should shut up now." Emily said hurriedly and blushed a deep red.

"Teddy? Why?" Emily asked with an amused expression on her face.


"Now that I think about it, I dont know exactly how I got it up there, and why. Oh yah, I remember. I did it because I was promised a puppy!" Emily said, grinning sheepishly. "Oh, my brother." she explained at seeing the confused expression on her face.

She giggled a little at his raised eyebrow. Why did he keep doing that? It was so cute! "I mean..." Cadence struggled to find the exact words, then she turned sideways on the bench to face him. "Who are you? How'd you get to Hogwarts? You told us you got kicked out of school, but I have a feeling there's more to your story than you're letting on. Like I said, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to." She sat next to him smiling, waiting patiently for a response.

Anza walked in quietly, and grabbed the first seat she saw, one at the Hufflepuff Table with her Siames Kneazle Cat on her shoulder. She put her head in her hands- Not exactly good at making friends... how would she know anyone? Would she just go along, friendless? nightmares,snuck in hermind and the warm hall suddenly seemed intimidating and drafty.

Aaron couldn't really been any happier; of course he would have been thrilled to be in any house... but being sorted into the house of both his sister AND brother, just made him more happy. And to think he didn't even have any pumpkin juice or treacle tart yet!

And that was when he saw him ... the kid who randomly had scolding him for not entering the quidditch shop and just breathing on the glass. HMPH! All about to gorge down pretty much all the foods on the platters too from what it seemed. That wasn't the greatest thing though; the boy was a Hufflepuff!!! Sure he never got around to meeting him and knowing his name ... but he knew the face!

YAY!

"You. Are. A. Hufflepuff!" Aaron exclaimed, rather loudly too, as he plopped himself down next to the older boy. "YAY!!! And I'm ... Aaron Rose, the newest addition!! Woot!!!" Someone was excited.

Ema appreciated the boy's confidence, but it didn't seem so much as confidence as it was... a mocking disagreement. "Either way the results tell all." Ema stated wisely.

Ema nodded in response. "Cool. What's your faaaaaavorite class, even if you aren't good at it?" she asked, enunciating. I mean, you could totally stink at something and still love it, right? They were just naming things they were slightly good at.

"Wish I'd thought of that last term," she quipped, giving out a small laugh. "Good idea." Ema cocked her head to the side, pondering. "Well...I mean, I fancy Quidditch a whole lot, you know that. But that's sort of unrealistic in a way. Compared to all those other professional Quidditch dudes I doubt it would be worth trying. I think a healer would be cool, or somewhere in that field. I like helping people...or trying to," she added, thinking of Nunually on the train and countless occasions where she had been of close to no help at all. "...but..." she still wasn't sure, so she shrugged. "What about you?"


Ema nodded understandingly. "I know what you mean. There are some people that it's tough to hate, even though you really want to and they're really mean to you. Isn't it odd how that works? And then there are those who are tough to love." Ema, OF COURSE, tried to love everyone, but it was quite hard if the person was just impossible to even like in the first place. "But it's kind of a good thing, because when they feel guilty about treating you like that, you won't feel any guilt for hating them. If that makes any sense." What was Ema rambling on about? Hmmm...

Ema agreed. "Yeah, probably a few years. But yes, of course you have to try! That's the whole point, right? Just...building your way up there."

Ema glanced back at Ashford at the staff table. "Yeah...hopefully she doesn't stay true to the old muggle definition of 'witch'." Ema snickered. "But she does look kind enough." Then she shrugged. "No idea...I didn't really get to know her that much. She kinda just disappeared though." Ema let out a laugh. "Ha, yessss! With her little 'Make-All-The-Children-Happy cookies."

Ema gaped. "You really went to the World Cup?" Holy smokes!! "That's great!! Nooo, I didn't get to go. Too much going on, plus ya know...muggle parents weren't into the whole idea." she waved her hands in the air as if she were pardoning her parent's parental behavior. "But how was it?!"

Emalyn turned to Rex. Was she okay? "Oh...oh yeah, I'm fine." she gave him a tight smile. She was starting to get a tiny small headache, but besides that she was in perfect shape. Then she looked at Jake when she realized what Rex was talking about. Oooh, not health-wise! "Who, him?" she pointed to Jake. "Naw, he just surprised me is all." Unless Rex was referring to the mimicking, then that was just another story altogether. "He's a good guy." she assured him. "Cool, those are nice subjects. Flying is addicting." Ema's face lit up at the mention of it. "I can't wait to start flying again."

Ema shrugged. "We'll see about that...I may not be able to stop my clumsy side." she grinned. "Yeah, it will be fun to hang out with you here, too, instead of just on the train."

The gorge-fest was interrupted by some random, loud voice. And strangely enough, that voice sounded vaguely familiar. Cy looked up to see that young kid that he'd mildly harassed in Diagon Ally. The Aussie grinned widely, swallowed his LARGE mouthful of food, and shook his head. "Nah, I'm just sittin' at the Hufflepuff table for laughs'..." Taking another swig of pumpkin juice, Cy shrugged, "Ah you got me. Yeah mate, imma' Hufflepuff. Welcome to the legacy."

Cy furrowed his brow at the kid, he had more enthusiasm than ANYONE he'd ever met. His energy level was around the same as Cy's, but, it was different somehow.

"Aaron Rose." Just a bout a thousand nicknames popped into Cy's head, he'd save them for later. "Pleasah' mate, I'm Cy. Here, get yah some food. The pork here is a good eat." Cy didn't even wait for the get to get it himself, Cy plopped an obscenely LARGE portion onto the first years plate for him.

AND....HUFFLEPUFF IT IS!

Yes, Treyen was, without a doubt, nervous as ever since he spoke to the Head Boy Jack-Jack about Houses. Well, they didn't talk about Houses, it was more a 'Which House you're in?' type of conversation, but still, Houses. And he'd been totally nervous ever since. Or...not really, perhaps since he talked to that girl in Diagon Alley.

BUT...HUFFLEPUFF!

YES!

All his dreams came true! Well, so far.

NOW...Treyen was acting like he knew ALL ALONG that he was going to belong to Hufflepuff, and was oh-so-sure of himself, that his walking was a bit proud.

Of course, once he took notice of someone he'd met and lost track of, he started to run towards that boy. "Rose! You're a Hufflepuff! Just like me! Isn't it the best?" he exclaimed, catching up to him at the table, and then eyeing the boy Aaron was talking to, who was already eating, by the way.

"Hello, Do you mind if it come sit by you?" Avery asked a girl with her head in her hands. She wanted to make new friends and the one she had met was occupied with a boy at the moment, so Avery decided she would go introduce herself. "I'm Avery...Avery Donner" She said sticking her hand out for a shake.

Nunually smiled as Emily told her why she did what she had done and when she said about a puppy she continued to smile. "Hey he has to show you he cares somehow." she told her and smiled. "Did you get the puppy?" she asked
Nunually hadn't noticed the smirk that her new friend had made so when Emily pointed it out and blushed she blinked confused. "Emily are you alright?" she asked her.

Nunually turned to Ema and nodded. "I even tried to act mean towards them, but i couldn't. yet they can do something like that so easily why?" she wondered. Nunually knew what Ema was saying and she nodded. "I understand, and I know, but we must keep trying someday we will bring peace to the world." she said making a fist with her right arm and looking up at the ceiling sky.

Huh? What? This boy must have been mental or something. At least that was what Aaron thought at first not quite recognizing the sarcasm. Until he conceded and admitted to being a Hufflepuff, not just sitting at the table 'just because'. "Thanks mate! But like how'd you know I was a legacy?" Did he recognize the last name? Surely his sister did mention anything of a Cy...

Frowning for a moment as the kid introduced himself as Cy and then proceeded to give him LOTS of food; more than anyone could ever finish.... "I... thanks mate!" He grinned, and was about to shove a forkful into his mouth when he was interrupted ....

Standing up abruptly at the sound of someone calling his last name grrrrr!!! He whirled to see who the familiar voice was coming from, proud that it WAS someone he knew! It was Treyen from the train, and HE TOO was a Hufflepuff!!!

"Awesome!!" Aaron grinned. "Welcome, Lockhart!!! We're going to become the bestest of buds! I can just feel it!" He exclaimed noticing his first year friend eying the other boy. "Oh .. right, Treyen, this is Cy. And Cy, this is my new best mate from the train. Treyen! Our sisters went to school together, isn't that COOL!?!" Of course it was.

Cyrus eyed the kid like he was speaking a different language. He was a legacy? What? They were not QUITE on the same page. "Nah nah, crazy bloke. I'm talking about the Quidditch legacy. Badger's hold the Championship trophy past two year's running." Cy pounded his chest proudly. Of course, he hadn't been there last year, but he just wouldn't mention that.

Absolutely not.

Them some other kid had joined them. Cyrus forked another mouthful into his mouth, he was in a sea of first years. Not that he minded, he'd just brainwash them early. One day his empire would RULE. Duh.

Cy gave raise of the brow's and a forced smile, "Supa' cool mate. Nice to meet ya' Treyen."

WAIT... a moment. He said Lockhart. AHHH it all made sense. Cy began to howl with laughter.

"AAAAAAH. You're Kaika's spawn," Wrong word Cy, he didn't know any better though, "Fantastic." Cy shook his head heartily. "Welcome to," He waved his ford around at the Great Hall, "Hogwarts." The Aussie continued to eat an an alarming pace. He wanted to be taller, Legend was taller than him now. And apparently food made you grow, right?

Evelyn used the napkin that Nulu had passed across the table and got what she could off her robes, but most of it had already soaked into the material. "Thank you for that. I'm fine. It's no big deal." She sat the napkin back in front of Nulu. "Thanks for finding that for me. Where were we?" Evelyn squinted her eyes, racking her brain to remember, "Oh yes. Big Family. Well, I'm definitely the quiet one in the family. I usually just listen to the adults conversations, or keep an eye on my younger cousins. Ever since my brother got married and moved out, it's just been my parents, me and my sister at home. I spend most of my time reading or flying my Firebolt."


Evelyn was so happy that she wasn't boring Scipia. "Reunions definitely ARE crazy. Seeing all my magical and muggle relatives trying to understand each other. But I'm the quiet one in the family," Evelyn took a sip of her hot cocoa, being careful not to spill her drink again, "I've done a bit of travel. I grew up here, and I've been to Australia and New Zealand of course. I've also been to India and Canada."

Evelyn looked around the Great Hall, "I already know how different this school is to my old one. My last school was tiny in comparison to this. It was in a really nice old mansion, but it probably could have fit inside this room. We didn't have as many classes as we get to learn here. I think I learnt more from helping my mum with her work. So, Hogwarts is much bigger and older and more beautiful and more mysterious. I love it already!"

Evelyn overheard this. "Nulu! Oh my gosh! If it starts hurting, please tell me and I'll take you to the nurse." Of course, Evelyn didn't know who the nurse was or where to find her, but she didn't want to see sweet little Nulu in pain.


Scipia had turned and introduced herself to a girl who was sitting by herself. And she doesn't look like a first year! Evelyn thought excitedly, I hope she's the same age as me. Evelyn smiled at her, hoping she would come and join their conversation.


Evelyn was starting to feel hungry again. How is that even possible? I ate, like, ten Cornish pastries! Evelyn was just serving herself some shepherds pie, when she heard a familiar sound. That accent... Evelyn leaned around the people next to her to see. "You're Australian!?" Evelyn saw the boys face and recognised him, they had spoken briefly earlier that night. "Sorry to interrupt your conversation, I just wasn't expecting to hear someone talk like that here," Evelyn apologised with a smile, hoping the boy (third year? fourth year?) didn't think she was being rude.

Puzzled, Samuel looked at Emily with confusion. "What? Um, I dunno, was I? Did I do something wrong?", asked Samuel, hoping he hadn't offended Emily.

And, why, of course, Treyen was sitting right next to the boy Rose. Because if things worked this way, then that means that Tibi-Ty-T was sitting in the Ravenclaw table, like Cela and Livvy, and Jack-Jack should be in the Gryffindor one, and Melanie was...nowhere to be seen, but should be in the Huffie one.

Hufflepuff. He could NOT wait to tell his sister that he got sorted into her House, and their father's House, and their grandfather's House...and...yeah...so on.

'Welcome Lockhart!'. Why, indeed. But, however, Treyen was not sure about the other stuff Aaron was saying. "Oh, really? How can you feel such a thing? I'm feeling happy about being in Hufflepuff, and...probably a bit hungry...but not another feeling, I think, how can you be so sure?" he asked, the first year, and then placed some chicken in his plate, because he was not at all sure about the pork.

Oooooh. Then Cy...

"What Aaron says is true....and..." and nothing more, because he was now simply nodding to the boy he'd just met.

Until.

He frowned. "I am NOT!" certainly not, he didn't even want to consider it, "I am her brother, though" he said, shaking his head as if to erase the momentary mistake of this Cy-dude. "Then, you now my sister? She never mentioned me?" how silly of her to forget mentioning him to the others, for apparently just one single Hufflepuff seemed to be aware of his existence. Tragedy!

"Well, thank you, are you on some sort of welcoming committee?" it was a grand gesture the one he made to refer to Hogwarts, and perhaps not everyone was up to do so, perhaps only the welcoming committee? And, man alive! He was eating so much! "Does the food runs out all of the sudden?" now, he was starting to get worried.

Blake's eyes got bigger when she refused to shake some bloke's hand. How ruuudeee? And what's with the sanitizer? After deliberating for minutes, he opened his mouth, "Clean FREAK!!!" Blake blurted out and beamed at her. Ohmigosh! He has finally met a Clean Freak! Woot! "Aren't you? I mean, GUURRRRL, I have waited all my life to meet one! Autograph, please?" Okay, he TOTALLY wanted to take a picture with her or something along the lines. A Germophobic and a Germophilic, smiling and shaking hands. Wowzaaa! Sayyy cheeseeeeeee.

Once his excitement subdued, he chuckled and shook his head, "This is NOT your or for that matter, anyone's table. It's a wood table, made out of wood." Snort. He sooo wanted to puke right now, just to see her reaction, you know. "Annd this pretty shiny wood is enjoying the warmth of my bum." Grinning, he started twisting and rubbing his butt on the table and stuck his tongue out at the girl. Oh how he loves to irritate princess-y type girls. Pahahahaha!

"What's a manicure? Is it some kind of disease?" He asked with furrowed brows and examined his nails. Weird cause according to him, his nails were pretty cute. All pink and tiny.

Clear nail polish? NO way..but maybe that's the only cure of a manicure...? "Okay, do my nails...liakeee right now. ONLY if it's going to cure my manicure-ness." Gosh, what is he talking about? Manicureness? Is that even a word?

Before Marcus could even reply to the young Huffie, he was off and running to...somewhere. "Er...yeah catch ya later Cy." He shook his head and chuckled softly at the boy's retreating back.

Kids today.

Marcus gave the young girl a huge grin and picked up the piece of pie. "You are now my best friend in the whole wide world." Well right along side his wife and Jake of course. "I really love pie" he said as he took a bite and closed his eyes savoring the delicious taste.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Evelyn" Marcus replied giving the girl a warm smile. "Yeah Hogwarts is great but I do love the Australian weather and beaches. Unfortunately Hogwarts doesn't have a beach and the weather is...a...bit...yucky." He had grown up in England but when he was in the band he had traveled all over the world and Australia certainly did have the best weather.

"Yes you do" Marcus said giving him a somewhat stern look but his eyes were twinkling with amusement. "We're going to have so much fun this year, I have lots of fun things planned."

Except for camping.

There will be no camping.

His eyes moved to the staff table and he frowned slightly as he looked at the new DADA professor. Marcus didn't know why they had hired the man but he didn't like it either. He lent down and spoke to Jake in a low voice. "Make sure you behave yourself this term especially in DADA, okay?"


"Glad to hear it Kay and I hope you are nice and refreshed and ready for a new year at Hogwarts." Marcus gave the young girl a smile and then turn to the young boy that she had introduced.

"It's nice to meet you too Rex. The name is Professor Lawson." He stuck his hand out for the boy to shake.

"Hello Sarah" Marcus greeted the girl and gave her a huge smile. "Ah yes a very important year for you. Oh and congratulations on becoming Hufflepuff's newest Prefect, I am sure you will do a fantastic job." He chuckled at her question, it seemed he had been asked that a hundred times already but he didn't mind answering it. "I had an excellent summer, thank you Sarah. How was yours?"

"Er..."Marcus had to think for a moment what the hell a laptop was. Oh yeah he remembered Jake had shown him one. It was like a small computer and it sat on your lap...um...hence the name.

Cheyah!!

He would get the hang of the whole muggle thing even if it killed him. Wouldn't want to let Kazi get the better of him. "Sorry no laptop in my office, like you said they won't work here at Hogwarts." And Marcus would have no idea how to operate one anyway.

Marcus chuckled at Sidney's assumption of Hogwarts, "I think a lot of things have changed since Harry Potter attended the school."

Marcus was sure that Reese would do an excellent job as Prefect, she wouldn't have been picked if her Head of House didn't have the utmost faith in her. "Oh?" He gave Reese a look surprise, of course he had totally forgotten about the amulet he had given her last term. So he was getting all excited at the prospect of being given chocolate.

Lawson sure did like chocolate.
