"That's why I love him." Brody smiled, and now she was throughly distracted. Well she probably would have been if Torin was here anyway so.

Delanie didn't study. Then why was she here. That was totally stupid. At least Brody was going to use the stuff she was learning here, and her time here was not a total waste. "I'm only studying the subjects i find hard." She mused, glancing at the book. Yes. Hard. "I've been homeschooled since I was 4 so I know quite a lot...just topping myself up."

Delanie nodded. Though she still didn't like school. She only came because her father made her. That, and how else would she see her bffs Torin, Dylan and Georgie? And Cody was coming next term, so that made her want to stay.

"That's good. I hope you do well on your OWLs," she offered.

Ziva gave a huff as she tripped once again into the common room. She wanted to go home so badly right now. She wanted Asher to hold her as they sat on the couch in his study and tell her that everything was going to be alright, that everything happened for a reason. Ziva pulled herself up once again from the floor that she was getting so very annoyed with and didn't bother to straighten out her clothes or brush them off of dirt. She walked over near a chair against the wall, slung her bag in the chair and took her book from it and slid down against the wall, hiding herself from most of the room with the chair. She pulled her legs up and propped the large book against her legs. She hoped reading a book in her native language would help her relax, it was as close as she could get to Asher and home.

Cadence was headed back to the dormitory when she saw a familiar face sulking in a chair with her face in a book. She hadn't spoken to Ziva since that day in the girls' dorms. Maybe things would be better now? She hoped. Walking over to the chair, Cadence tucked her hair behind her ear and quietly said, "Hey Ziva! What are you reading?"

Ziva looked up from her book to find Cadence. She gave a weak smile, she wasn't sure if she could handle her at a moment where all she wanted to do was sleep and cry. "An old Greek fable." she told Cadence turning the page. She bit her lip and looked at Cadence, she wasn't sure how to continue on. But she fell silent instead, deciding that since Cadence was the one to come to her once more, she could continue the conversation.

"Oh! Neat!" she said with a tone of forced cheeriness. This was realllllly awkward. She looked around for a few moments, playing with the ends of her hair, trying to decide what else to say. "It's... It's good to see you. It's weird, ya know? There was the fight, and I didn't know what happened to anyone else, really. And now when I see my friends, I just feel so relieved to know that they're okay. You... you are okay, right?" she asked, studying Ziva's face. She didn't really seem alright, but Ziva wasn't exactly the kind of person to gush about her feelings, so she would just wait for Ziva to talk about what was wrong. If she wanted to, that was.

Ziva nodded her head and listened to Cadence speak, she craned her head up to look at her. Ziva gave a sigh, Yeah, didn't get injured physically, but emotionally and mentally I did... Ziva trailed, the fight had reminded her of her family, and what might've happened to make them not come back once again. "Yeah, I guess I'm alright." Ziva told her. "Didn't get injured." She trailed, "I heard something had happened to you." Ziva stated, letting her explain.

Cadence sat down in a nearby chair, giving Ziva a skeptical look. That didn't sound like a she was okay response, but she would let it go. Maybe Ziva would feel more like talking after Cadence told her story. "Well, you remember the day Nate broke up with me? Well, I lost my wand that day. So, when the fight broke out, I was wandless. So I ran through the battle and got to the Headmaster's office. Then he made me run through the castle and alert all the professors. I passed out in the divination tower. Nate found me and woke me up. I took his wand, summoned my wand, and then I took off. When I got down to the fifth floor, though, there were already people there," she lowered her voice incase any of the students who had been imperiused were nearby. "I had to fight three of them. It was crazy. They disillusioned themselves and then duplicated themselves, and, well, needless to say once that had happened, I didn't know what to do. I let my shield charm down, and one of them hit me with a body bind and then an incarcerous. I hit the ground. Dislocated my knee, broke my ankle, and had a concussion. But I was alright. Healer Ashford fixed me up quickly."

Ziva listened to Cadence as she recounted what had happened. "Ashford is one good Healer." Ziva confirmed nodding her head, Zi only trusted Ashford and Asher to heal her. She looked down at her book again, reading a phrase and looking up again, she bit her lip. Not sure as of what to say once again.

Cadence nodded in agreement. "Yes, yes she is. Though, I think having to be healed three times in the same term is quite enough to last me awhile." And then another awkward silence fell between them, and Cadence started playing with the ends of her hair again. She really needed to chop it off. It was getting rather very long again. Taking a deep breath, she turned to look at Ziva, "Zi, listen, about that day at the gate. I'm really sorry. You were right, but you know... I just... I deal with things in my own way. And Nate and I had literally only been broken up for, well, not even an hour. I just still couldn't understand it you know? But I'm sorry for the way I talked to you. You were just trying to be a good friend, and I should have been more receptive." And she just looked at Ziva, waiting on her to say something. And hoping Zi would forgive her.

Zi wanted to stare straight ahead of her, she didn't really feel like focusing on anything in paticular except possibly her book that was in her lap. She forced herself to look up at Cadence and listen to her apology. Sure Zi knew she had been a bit quick to act on things when Cadence still might've needed more time to cope with what had happened. But Ziva wasn't about to apologize. Cadence knew how she was and it shouldn't had come as a suprise...just like how she didn't want to talk about the fight at the moment. "I understand." she muttered at her with a feeble smile.

Cadence nodded and reached out, squeezing Zi's hand. That was all she needed to hear. Sitting back in the chair, she smiled at Ziva. "I'll let you get back to your book." Pulling out her iPod and the letter she was writing to her parents, she began jamming to her music and scribbling down her random ramblings to her parents.

Ziva nodded her head, and leaned back against the wall a little more. Her tensed body began to relax a little as she turned back to the large book in her lap. She pulled her right hand up to the top of the left page and followed her eyes in reading by tracing her finger with the words as she read the Greek language that she had missed oh so much.
