Cadence tilted her head slightly with a confused expression on her face. "Go... fish...?" she asked. Sitting down on the floor with him, she watched as he shuffled the cards. "Those are weird!" she exclaimed, watching the shapes, pictures, colors, and numbers flash by. "This must be a Muggle game. I've never heard of it or played it. We weren't allowed to play card games at my Muggle school."

"Your so silly. Ok. The game is simple. Each person gets 7 cards of those seven you try to make matches of four. By number. So you ask your opponets for them and if you ask for the number they have you get them all. But you have to have that number in your hand to ask. Understand?" he said showing her cards and using examples. He hoped she understood before he fell asleep.

Cadence listened closely to his instructions and nodded. "Okay, seems simple enough," she said, smiling at him. Then she just waited. She assumed he was going to give her cards. But who got to ask first. Did he or she? And this game didn't seem like much fun with just two people. It seemed like the kind of game that would be more fun with others. Looking around, she noticed Ziva and Arya talking nearby. Maybe they'd want to join in, too? But she didn't want to step on Nate's toes. Sometimes he didn't like having other people around. And Cadence didn't mind. She loved her time with Nate.

Delanie looked over at her brother. "Are you kidding? Transformers is my favorite movie! I WORSHIP Optimus Prime. Believe it or not, I dressed up as him one year for Halloween. My costume was AMAZING. But Bumblebee is my favorite. I love him so much that daddy bought me the Chevy Camaro: Transformers Edition car! It looks EXACTLY like Bumblebee does when he's in car form. It has the little Autobots sign engraved into the seats and all that jazz. It's a beautiful car, brother; you must see it." Oh, sparkle. She hadn't meant to ramble, but she just couldn't help it when it came to Transformers. Transformers: more than meets the eye! Squeal!

Doing as she was suggested, Dee pressed a few buttons on her laptop and they started watching Gossip Girl. She leaned into Torin, cuddling up next to him. She loved television show time with her brother! Ahh, 'twas the best.

Oh this was nervewracking!

Sarah took a few deep breaths as she entered the common room.Glancing around she could see a few people about, but not many.Was it worth giving them a speech now, only to have to do it again when others arrived? Maybe she should wait for Torin and ask him that....

Moving to the side, and the comfort of an empty chair, Sarah sat down and pulled her knees up under chin.Could this term get any worse?

Torin walked into the Common Room after Sarah and looked around. Not too many people were around. It was too late for everyone to be down here it seemed.

He walked up to Sarah and looked at her curiously. "Should we wait until the morning you think?" It would only be a difference of a few hours. And everyone would be awake then.

"Or should we do it now and have people spread the word?" That could work too.

Ziva smiled, most Greek families around Kavala were very large, like four or five kids, but not the Holdens. Ziva sighed and bit her lip, she missed her parents desperately and wondered where they wer.

She could always sense when he was around. It was like she had a sixth sense or something. Rubbing her eyes, whilst she pulled a white cardi on top of her puff top and sweat pants, Brody wandered down the stairs, and into the common room, to try to find him. She really hoped that he wouldn't be in his dorm, because that would totally not work.

Ahh. good. He was in the common room. She pushed through a people as she wandered over him, hoping she didn't look to sleep. He looked worried. "Tor...whats' wrong?" Because something looked wrong.

He was surprised to see that Brody was up. What was she doing down here? It was late and she should be asleep. She looked really tired, so why did she wake?

"Why aren't you sleeping, Brody?" She needed to sleep. She had been sick.

Brody rubbed her eyes again, and she looked up at him. This was a bad idea, she was really tired. "I couldn't sleep?" It was kind of true, seeing as she was awake now. She smiled at Sarah, still wondering what was going on.

"Why are you up so late?" She asked, totally forgetting that she was up late really.

He raised his brow as he watched her. She really ought to sleep, but he wouldn't force her to. He wanted to tell her anyway. She wasn't going to like this at all.


"I had a meeting.. Brody, the school is going on lockdown."

Staring at the top of her knees was becoming both boring and mesmerising, so Sarah was grateful for Torin and the distraction.He'd arrived not long after her and was stood there saying more-or-less exactly what she'd been thinking.It was late, alot of people would be in bed already, and it was better to talk to as many at once as possible. "Yeah, I think maybe we should leave it for now," she sighed, glancing around at the half empty room. "Perhaps we could leave a large notice that we want to talk to everyone in the morning? That's it's important they listen to us before going anywhere?" She could easily glue some parchment together and make it REALLY big, so it would be spotted.

"I think I should sleep down here as well - you know, just in case anyone tries to get out in the night.We found Miranda quite early in the morning...." Bottom lip chewed at the memory of THAT.

And then Brody appeared from the dorm.

Sarah returned the smile the girl gave her, and nodded as Torin told her what was going on. "Yeah, we were just discussing when we were going to tell everyone.We need to have our own Hufflepuff meeting."

Sarah had a good idea. He turned his attention away from Brody and nodded at his fellow Prefect. "Yeah, that's definitely effective." Because she had a point about people sneaking off. Reese had done that after the sleepover and he didn't want to think about what could have happened if him and Jack hadn't stumbled upon her.

"If you're sleeping down here, I will too." Because at this point he didn't want to go back to his dorm.

"So, should we play now by us two or should we call some of your friends over?" he said dealing out seven cards for each other. "But I would love to play just alone but a group game would be fun," Nate said laughing a little. He winked and squeezed her hand across the table.

Cadence looked around the Common Room. "Hey Avery! Want to play Go Fish?" she asked her favorite firstie. And then she yelled over to Ziva and Arya, "Hey!!!! You guys want to play Go Fish?" she asked waving at them. But then she noticed Torin and the other Prefect and Brody all gathered around whispering about something. This didn't look good. She tried to overhear, but she couldn't despite how close they were. She poked Torin's leg and looked up at him. "Torin, what's wrong? Is this about all those hurt students?" and then she started panicking and stood up. "Did someone die? Are they sending us home? What happened?"

Oh God.

Torin turned to look at Cadence as the girl poked him in the leg then started to panic. He had sorta worried that something like this might happen. And he didn't want the girl to worry over this when it wasn't too big of a deal really.

"We're just going on lockdown. No one's died." He spoke reassuringly. Or at least as reassuringly as he could.

After noticing that the Hufflepuff Prefects weren't around anywhere, not the least in the Prefect's Bathroom, Miranda decided to go check her commonroom. And lookit, there they were! She stepped inside the room and sighed, slightly out of breath from all the running, trying to find the other Captains.

"Sarah, Torin." She called out in quiet voice since she didn't want to wake up people. "I'm here to offer my assistance. If you need help with anything...or just company or something, I'm here." She sucked on her lower lip, waiting to hear what they would say. "I've just been running around the school, hoping to find the other Captains. Headmaster Tate thought it would be a good idea if we did something to help you guys."

Arya's eyes lite up, she loved Go Fish! Hopping off her seat with Smore in hand she skiped over to went Canence was sitting, placing the pygmy puff on her shoulder. "I'd love to play!"

Avery smiled, she loved go fish, she came closer to Cady and then heard her say something about hurt students. "Cady what's wrong? What hurst students? Nymphy and I've basically lived in the room of requirement the last few weeks and I have no idea what you are talking about!" Avery was conerned that something really bad was happening, she hoped it wasn't any one she knew.

Cadence nodded at Torin. Her stomach felt uneasy. The image of Set's lifeless body flashed across her brain, but his body had Nate's face. It was an image that had been haunting her dreams ever since she had found Mina in the Courtyard. Not saying another word, she sat back down, biting her tongue.

As more people joined them, Cadence thankfully scooted around closer to Nate. She just wanted him to hold her. Life was getting so scary here. And then Avery started freaking out. She looked from Avery's terrified face back up to Torin with pleading eyes. She didn't want to be the one to explain this. Clearing her throat, she made her best attempt, "Well, Avery, I'm- I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. I mean, the Headmaster probably has it all under control now, but students have been disappearing and then turning up really hurt and not being able to remember where they've been... everyone's okay now, though..." Cady had heard a rumor about a Prefect going missing and not turning back up, but she wouldn't tell that to Avery right now. She didn't need to know about things that were just rumors. "So! Let's play!" she said, forcing a tone of cheeriness back into her voice.

Avery couldn't believe this...things were bad at Hogwarts and she didn't even know it. Avery thought she and Nymphy should should go back the room of requirment where it was just the two of them and they could live care free. After the cards were delt it was Avery's turn to go first, she turned toward Cady.."Do you have any two's?" Avery was very nervous but could tell that she didn't want to talk about it. So Avery played a game of go-fish with her friends.

Leaning back in her chair with a grin plastered on her face, the girl looked through her cards. She was still oblivious to the worry that was across her prefects faces as she enjoyed the game. Though she did know they were there and even gave them a quick smile before turning back to the group. "Does anybody have any aces?" Her eyes scaned the group for an awnser.

Her eyes widened as he spoke. The school was going into lockdown. "Lock down?" well obviously she knew that meant, but sometime serious must have been happening for it to go on. She scanned around the common room. Where was Fia? "It's not safe anymore." And she was pretty sure her parents would want her out right away if they knew what was going on, not that she would go without taking Fia with her.

Brody smiled at Sarah, whilst she ran her fingers through her hair. "It might be better to tell everyone tomorrow morning...when everyone is more awake." Because she would presume that they might forget. She would have if she wasn't that worried. Wait. Sarah was going to sleep down here? That wasn't very safe, not on her own anyway. "You can't stay down here on your own sarah..." She mused, what would happen if she got taken too. "Maybe a few old students should stay down here....just incase."

Torin was rather glad to see Miranda right now. He had been wondering where she was because she would need to know the news. "Can you help us make a sign that says that we need to have a House meeting tomorrow?" Because he wasn't very artistic and hopefully they were.

"And um, you wouldn't mind sleeping down here with me and Sarah, would you?"

He sighed, noticing that she seemed rather worried. "Don't worry. It's just Hogsmeade that's a problem. You will be safe here." And he wouldn't let anything hurt her. "You're not going to tell your parents, are you?" If she did, they might send her home. She needed to stay for her OWLs and he needed her.

"I'm staying down here with Sarah. She should e fine. But yes, more should stay too." He frowned. But who?

A sign it was then.Hopefully they would all take notice of it.There would be hell to pay if they didn't.Yes. "I think I have some spare parchment in my trunk, I'll go get it in a minute," she smiled, stiffling a yawn behind her hand.She was soooo going to be the best lookout in the history of lookouts.Asleep in 10 seconds flat, you wait and see.

Sarah shrugged when Brody said she couldn't stay there by herself.It was true that she was one of the few Prefects/people that hadn't been taken, but she had to help protect the others. "I suppose I can't, no." she bit her lip and looked around.The place seemed warm and welcoming now, but heaven knows what it would be like in the middle of the night.Then Torin offered to stay, too. "Thanks, Torin.Maybe Brody's right, though...we need a few of us incase a situation arises?" Sarah said it as more a question than a statement.She didn't want them all to think she trying to take over things.

As one of the younger students quizzed Torin on what was going one...a younger student that should have been in bed...Sarah's head snapped up at the sound of the portrait swinging shut.It was Miranda! Sarah could have squee'd at the sight of her friend, back in the common room and acting - normal.Springing up from her seat, she grabbed the captain in a hug and grinned at her. "I'm so glad you get to help! We need to formulate a plan to do this head count thing, when everyone comes in the common room." She nodded as Torin mentioned helping with the sign. "Yeah we thought it best to leave a sign saying there will be a house meeting with us tomorrow.It's too late now, and most people are in bed.I was going to get some parchment for it in a minute.OH! And you will stay down here with us, won't you? Doing a sorta lookout thing...Please?"
