Arya giggled as Perseus snuggled into her neck, tickling her. "It's okay, I forgive ya."She spook softly as she gently scratched her kittens neck. She didn't wan to intrude on the girl's day, seeing as she was in a bad mood.

Torin watched the two girls talk and raised his brow. He didn't really get girls sometimes. But it seemed that Ziva was a bit irritated with the First Year. "What happened, Ziva?" Hopefully she wouldn't find him nosy. He just wanted to know why she was in a bad mood.

A happy looking boy came and sat down nearby. He glanced at Evelyn and said hello, but she wasn't sure whether he was talking to her or to the other girl. "Um, hey," Evelyn muttered anyway.

"Well I'm heading off to bed. I'll see you around I guess." Ziva said with a forced smile as she walked off.

Ziva pulled herself off to the side to talk to Torin. She didn't want everyone knowing. "Nothing really, just stressed I guess." She choked back tears, she was really missing her family, it was worse around the holidays.

Aww, she looked like she might cry. Poor girl. "If you want to talk later you can find me," he told her low enough that no one else could hear him. He would have her talk now, but she had said she was tired and going to bed. He wasn't going anywhere either.

Arya watched Ziva leave thinking she was going to the dormitory, a little puzzled when she pulled Torin to the side. Shrugging her shoulders she pulled the blanket around while picking up Perseus and heading to the girld dormitory to finish sleeping.

Ziva nodded her head but she burst out in silent tears. She wasn't for sure what to say, even if she could say something. She hung her head trying to keep her face hidden by her long straight black hair so that Torin wouldn't see her crying. She needed Pierre right now, he'd calmed her down earlier with little to no ease. It was around this time of year that her parents went missing. Today to be exact.

Right.

He gently pulled her even further to the side when he heard her start to cry. Even if she was trying to hide it from him it didn't matter. "What's wrong, Ziva?" He looked at her with concern, hoping that nothing serious was bugging her.

Ziva choked on a couple of her sobs as she tried to talk. "I do...don't kn....know." she choked out. "Wha....what...happ....ened to...the...them." She sobbed quietly. She sank to the floor wishing that Asher were there to comfort her.

Torin was confused as he watched her sink to the floor. Right. This was time for a hug if there ever was one. He got down on the floor around her and put his arm around her because who didn't appreciate a hug when they were upset? "What happened to who?"

Ziva hung her head even more when Torin got down on the floor with her, it was emberassing her to pieces, but she couldn't stop the river that was flowing from her eyes. "M-m-mum....and....da-da-dad..." Ziva cried. It was horrible for someone not to know their parents, especially around the holidays.

"Why do you think something happened to them?" he could tell that he wasn't really doing much to comfort her and that was a shame. But he also wasn't sure what else he could do to help her other than to listen to her. He could be a good listener when someone was upset.

Lori gave Torin a little smile and shook her head, as if to say it could wait. But that was because someone seemed upset. Maybe she'd leave a pair of shoes on their bed later. All the options. So while she waited she rested a head on VarnishGirl.

Avery had, had enough sitting around doing nothing. She wished her mother told her before she came to Hogwarts how boring it could really be. Cady had her boyfriend to keep her occupied and Nymphy did who knows what. Avery had nothing. She was angry about being bored. She pulled out her wand and began to twirl it between her fingers. She decided to leave the purple sparks out of this time. Since there were so many people around. But she was getting rather good at them. Avery wished she could meet some one who was up for adventure like her. Who wanted to stir the water up a little bit.......Avery gave a sigh and stared into the fire.

Nymphy looked at Avery who looked poitively bored out of her mind. "Let's go do something!" he said. "We could go to the kichtens, get some food and feed it to the giant squid!" That would be exciting!

Ziva wiped her eyes from tears, she had began to calm down. "They never came back." She whispered to her drawn up knees. She rested her head on her knees, not sure what to think or say.

Cadence walked into the Common Room. She was all ready to leave for break with Nate, and she wanted to make sure she said bye to everyone before she left. Seeing Torin sitting on a couch, she walked over to him. "Hey Torin! I just wanted to say..." and then she noticed the girl next to him crying. Cadence bent down in front of the girl and looked into her eyes with a concerned look. "Hey... are you okay?"

Evelyn was alone. Again. She loved spending time in the Hufflepuff common room, but she had no friends in Hufflepuff to enjoy it with. The one person in Hufflepuff that seemed to have liked Evelyn was Wesley, and Evelyn had let her run away.

Evelyn frowned, gazing a her magazine on her lap. On the cover, Abel Greyward leant against his broomstick and smiled at her apologetically.

He sighed and still held her because she wasn't making it seem that she wanted him to let go of her. "Back from where?" he really wished that he had some tissues that he could give to her.

But now Cadence was here. He looked up at her and smiled. "Hey. What you want to -" but she started talking to Ziva, so he would have to let it be for now.

Cadence pulled a tissue out of her bag and handed it to the girl who seemed a little upset at the moment to talk. She turned back to Torin. "I just wanted to make sure I told you bye before I left for the holidays." because you were supposed to bake me Christmas cookies, and I know I said I didn't expect anything, but you got my hopes up, and now I really want cookies. "Did you ever find your girlfriend?"

"Sure Nymph...Lets go to the kitchens and have some food. I could go for some ice cream and cake!" Avery was excited to get out of the common room for a change. She really should go on more adventures around the grounds and such! "Race you there?" Avery said with a smirk on her face.

Oooh that was a tricky one. Lucille smiled and petted Fishy's hand that was through her own arm.

"Well," she started, trying not to be wishy-washy when she talked about Warren but knowing it would happen anyway, "Before we went out, we just talked and stuff, and he was all smiley, and then we were at the lake and he told me he loved me, and then we kissed and it just kinda went from there," she said. "So you've kissed him? Good one. So he DEFINATLY likes you. That's good."

Lucille furrowed her brows in thought.

"Maybe you should arrange to meet him in Hogsmead or something? That way it wont be awkward because it''s away from school." NOD.

A stern look came over Lucille's face. "But just promise me you wont take him to Madam Pudifoots." she said. "Its too lovey dovey. Too much pressure. try the Hogs Head. Noce and cosy in there, but not pink and frilly. So then once you're there, just talk to him! And something is BOUND to happen, because, well, despite all your poutiness, you are really verry pretty."

She smiled all nicey nice, hoping she had helped.

"Ok," he said. "!....2....." he sprinted away. "3! Lets go!" he said, already out the door

He was glad that at least Cadence had a tissue on her to hand the girl. He bit his lip as he listened to her. Oh, she was going away for holidays. "Well, I hope you have a good Christmas. I have the cookies for you in my Dorm." He nodded. He could go up and get them for her.

"But no, I didn't." He frowned. He didn't like not knowing where Brody was after like a week.

"Really?!" Cadence replied, her eyes widening in excitement... and also a bit in surprise that a guy who wasn't her boyfriend would actually do something nice like that for her for no reason. However, she didn't tell him to go get the cookies, that would be rude. Speaking of rude, she was probably not being very sensitive to this obviously upset girl. When CryingGirl wanted to talk, she would Cadence supposed.

"Aw! I'm sorry you can't find her. I haven't seen her around either..." Cady frowned with him a little bit. If she went for a week without knowing where Nate was, she's probably go a little bit crazy crazier.
