"I totally agree with you about the classes. I love all of mine so far. But, DADA was a little weird. He is not very nice." Kay drank some of her hot chocolate and thought Yes they needed Marshmallows. "Your right about the Marshmallows,too. As to the DADA class. I think we need to watch that professor."

"Hey, Kita. How ya doing? Did you like Quidditch try outs?" Kay asked rubbing her arm where she had got hit.

Kay saw Georgie walk into the common Room and smiled at her. She held up the cup she was holding and hoped Georgie would come over. But she would understand if she didn't want to talk with other around.

Kay listened to her friends talk about homework and classes. She was so glad that she was done for now. "So, Kita want do you think of the new DADA Professor? I think he's in need of watching. He just doesn't sit right with me." Kay asked Kita. "As to homework for me. Done for now but that won't last." kay laughed and took a drink from her cup.

Wesley did not know what to think. Mouth open in obvious shock, she just stared. Was this normal behavior? Did people just...sit on other people? Maybe, if she really thought about it, she might have seen some, like, two-year-olds perching on their mother's laps when she was at Diagon Alley. But Wesley had most definitely never seen this.

Judging by Sarah's shock, the older girl had never seen this either. "Sarah - don't - don't crack your head!" she exclaimed worriedly, finally finding her voice as Sarah went tilting back with this strange boy's weight. Luckily, though, her friend managed to catch her balance just in time and was rewarded with a...hug?

And then, this Aaron Rose was...expecting Wesley to hug him too.

Face white and eyes bulging, the 13-year-old bit her lip. Wesley did not give hugs. People gave Wesley hugs, but Wesley did not give other people hugs. Bad things happened when the Hufflepuff hugged people, this being the reason she had sworn off embraces for these last 2 years. "I...I...," her voice, suddenly small and high once more, cracked,"I...I c-can't." Glancing wildly around for some excuse, she waved at her flowers. "It'd c-crush them. S-sorry."

But he was so tiny! And, and as scary as he was, Wesley had this vivid picture of the boy crying. Lip trembling at the very thought, she reached for a pink Zinnia and said,"H-here." Taking one of Aaron's outstretched hands in her own, Wesley formed a cup and placed the flower gently in his palm. "This is J-jean-Claude. You can k-keep him, if you p-promise to take really, really, r-really, really good care of him, O-OK?"

Letting go, she tilted her head, giving a small, wobbly smile.

Georgiana noticed Kay holding up her glass as a silent invititation to join them all. She could work up the nerve to be social right? Right. She smiled at her and stood before walking over, they didn't need to talk about Barry. She walked over and sat down near her, smiling at the others. "Hello all!" she said friendly.

"I guess your right...that's all we really can do now. My friend told me that the Headmaster spoke to him about the lesson, so hopefully the next one will be better."She grined through her cup, glad to know she wasn't the only one here who loved marshmallows.

Arya looked up from her cup when another girl came to sit with them. Smiling she took one more sip of her drink. "Hey, I'm Arya."

"HI. Hot Chocolate?" Kay asked smiling at her friend. "Marshmallows? So, how are classes going?" Kay asked to bring her up to speed of the talking going around the fire. "We were just talking about DADA class." Kay knew not to bring up Barry until they were alone.

"Well we will see. He doesn't seem to care what anyone thinks." Kay said smiling that her friend like the marshmallows. "I still think we need to watch out for him. He really likes to take points from people."

Did kaytone and Kit toally ignore him "Oye, Kit, Kaytone." he yelled, a little louder, but still kindly. "How'd you to enjoy quidditch tryouts?" he asked. He thought he did very good, for a firstie at least.

"True...I just wanna make it through the class in one piece."She shoke her head as she listened to her wise friend speak. "I noticed, and he takes points for silly reasons."

Arya looked to the boy who seemed a little peeved by the fact that he was being ignored. She however found this amusing a half smile on her face as she looked at him, still siping her drink.

Kay turned and saw the boy. "Oh, I'm sorry. Hi, how your you? Yes, I loved Quidditch parctice." Kay said holding out a cup of hot chocolate. "Would you like some with marshmallows?" Kay smiled at him.

Kay giggled at her friend when she sat siping her drink. "well if we stick together he can take points. Well he should when way." Kay said thinking about the stories Harry would tell her about Professor Snape. "We definitely have to stay on his good side." She said thinking of the when thing were.

Georgiana smiled at Kay's friend, "Nice to meet you Arya, I'm Georgiana, more commonly called Georgie." she chuckled and held out her hand.

Georgie nodded, "Sure, I'd love some. Oooh, marshmallows? Yes please!" she replied, excited just like a little kid. Seriously, what girl didn't love a cup of hot cocoa with marshmallows? Georgie shrugged, "Personally I like them, DADA was a tad...morbid...but otherwise, I really have no problem with classes." she even kind of liked the DADA Prof. he was an interesting character. "Though, the Transfiguration Prof. is a little out there!"

"Yess, I would hate to be on his bad side."Just the thought made her shudder inside. The man scared her and he hasn't even spoken directly to her. "Can you imagine what detention would be like with him?"

Grining Arya shoke the girls hand using her uninjured hand. She was glad the girl had a nickname cause she would've had trouble pronouncing the full one. "Good to meet you to Georgie."She siped he drink as Georgie talked about classes. She could tell they didn't share the same feelings about the Professor for DADA or Transfigurations. Shruging her shoulder she said,"I kinda like Professor Pilliwickle....reminds me of my grandma."

Kay giggled. "Yes the professor in trans is a little different." She said think about that class. "But everything is going well this year. I just hope I do as well as last year." She said drinking her hot chocolate.

"No, I never want to have detention with him." Kay said making a face. "He's to scary. I would be afraid to see what he would have us do." She thought with a little shake.

Georgie smiled at Arya, and it appeared they had different views on Prof, but that was okay. She could live with that. "Oh yes, I mean it I don't not like her, she's just sort of an oddball." she smiled at her, and hoped she wasn't at all offended. She crossed her legs and accepted the hot chocolate from Kay. "You guys talking about the DADA Prof?" she asked tilting her head to the side.

Georgiana chuckled and nodded, "I agree! I'm so glad I ended up in the seat next to yours for DADA. I was a little worried I'd be by strangers." she chuckled, it also helped Barry and Nikki were like right in front of her. That was good too. She took a sip of her hot chocolate. "Oh and I love muggle studies! Soccer was so much fun the other day!"

She let the comments about Prof. Pilliwickle pass as she sipped her drink. She really didn't care for an argument over something so petty, plus she was sure the older girl would win anyway. Smiling she said, "Yup, not the nicest guy in the castle."

"Me either....or with any professor for that matter."Arya looked into her half emty mug, hoping it would refill itself somehow. Taking a small sip she looked into the fire. "I wonder what he has planed for our next class."

"Yes, we were talking about DADA. I just hope that Professor gets nicer as the year goes on, but I don't think that will happen. I was so glad when you sat next to me." Kay said think of Muggle Studies. "I liked learning football. But I'm not very good at muggle sports."

Kay need a face at the thought of the next class. "Well knowing him, he'll make has do Crucio and each other." Kay said not happy about it.

Georgiana nodded, no argument there. "Yeah, he's probably not the nicest, but for some strange reason, I really kind of like him. Maybe it's just because he's the only Prof. who can make us all pay attention with a look. Kind of makes me respect him. Though I did not at all agree with his lesson plan. I think it's seems a little harsh to have younger kids doing the unforgivable curses. That should be for like NEWT level." she replied evenly. They'd probably think she was a bit odd for liking the DADA prof.

Georgiana tilted her head, "I wouldn't nescarrily say he was mean...more of stern and in command. And that can be a good thing. Especially in a room full of kids of different ages." she thought about it a few seconds longer, "But like I said, his lesson was uncalled for." she added, then smiled at Kay. "Me too! And Barry is right in front of us." she shuddered slightly, though she respected the Prof. She would not want to sit in front! Georgie nodded, "I was alright, but I had a good partner so we did okay-ish. What about you Arya?" she asked, bringing the other girl into the conversation as well.

Arya stoped siping her drink and tilted her head to the side with a somewhat puzzled expression. She didn't want to agree with Georgie. She didn't want to have a reason not to hate the Professor...but Georgie was right. She did respect him in a fearful sort of way, and maybe that's what the old man was going for. She shrugged and smiled at Georgie, "I guess your right." Older kids always seemed wiser about things she didn't quite understand.

She became excited when they switched the subject to Muggle Studies. So far that was her favorite subject as well as Professor. "I love Muggle Studies, and playing soccer! I used to play when I was little at my muggle school."She thought about Allison and a grin spread across her face. "Had to teach my friend how to play since she didn't play muggle sports."She had to admit, being raised in both worlds had its advantages and this was one of them.

He pouted at her for a moment before smiling again. "But you should be able to decide that for yourself. When you've Graduated, just go into what you want to." Whatever that would be. Poor Peyton. It really would suck to have your future chosen for you. "I can't either. And Brody's coming again too." Because any trip sucked without her.

He laughed. "Why you say that?"

Yes Muggles Studies that was a good 'safe' subject to talk about. "I liked the class to. I love Professor Lawson. He's great. He gave me chocolate and marsh,allows once at a burnfire." Kay said smiling at the thought. "I'm not good with Muggle sports, want else do you play? Georgie you right about DADA of couse. I just felt weird in class." Kay said thinking about all they had done already this year.

Georgie smiled but felt bad, she felt almost as if she was like...persauding the younger girl to give up her beliefs. She wasn't was she? She was merely voicing her own opinions. Well, she'd just be more careful with what she said.

She brightened at the topic of muggle studies. Awesome! Arya used to play too! "Really?" she asked excitedly, "I did too! Though I was a little confused when they said 'football' I'm from the states so I actually thought that's what they meant!" she chuckled at her own stupidity. "We should get a group to play on the field though sometime! That would be so much fun!" she smiled at them all.


Georgie grinned, "Football! My brother taught me. It's so fun!" she said enthousistically. Hearing Kay she nodded, "Honestly, I did too. What he had us doing was wrong, but then again, like I said, the way he holds himself. Can't help but admire him."

"I like Professor Lawson too!"She said cheerfully, relaxing back into the chair at the new topic. "I meet him a few times before the class, in Diagon Alley with Jake and at the feast. He's really cool."Anyone who liked pie as much as she did was pretty much cool in her eyes. It didn't hurt that gave her a coupon for her helping Allison either. "I did gymnastic pretty much all my life and I love to swim. I also went camping alot...I love the outdoors."She wasn't sure who the question was directed towards but it couldn't hurt to awnser.

She was so excited to know someone that had played the sport before and was from the states. "Me too! I completly forgot that its called football over here.It took me a while to get used to a few diffrent sayings being over here, but I'm catching on."Well she was catching on to most british saying, Chaucer still confused her a bit. "I would love to play on the field! I have'nt played a game since being here. Just tell me when and I'm there!"Just the thought made her excited about playing, if asked she could probably get up and kick the ball around now what with her sudden burst of energy.

Georgiana smiled at Arya, she was glad someone else was in the same boat as her. Even if she were younger. Hey, her best friend was a first year was she not? Yes, yes she was! Speaking of, where was Nunually? "I agree! It's so hard! But I'm catching on a little bit..." sort of...kind of...yeah, no not really! "Me neither, but I think if we could get permission, that'd be really fun! I'll let you know, k?"

"Great! I can't wait!"She leaned back into the chair, happy to know she would get to play soccer on the castle grounds. She wondered who else knew how to play soccer. She wasn't really paying attention to them in class. "So what else do you like to do for fun?"Who knows, maybe they had more incommon than she knew.

Avery saw that Nymphy had come back from tryout already. It seemed like he just left! "Hey Nymphy how did the try outs go?" she asked him. Avery had signed up for tryout but couldn't make it....family problems. "I wish I could have been there! I bet you did great thought!" She smiled giving her friend support.

Georgie smiled, she was already looking forward to this non-definite game. She'd have to talk the groundskeeper first though. Perhaps the muggle studies teacher as well. Georgiana snapped back to attention hearing Arya's question, "Oh, I did gymnastics for awhile, and swimming." she replied with a smile, she loved both of those! And her mom had insisted she take synchronized swimming. That wasn't sooo fun. But still fun. "What about you?"

Kita looked up when she heard her name being called and smiled at the familiar face. "Hi. Nymphy right?" she said, laughing as well, "Ugh! Those bugs! I can't believe they interrupted our training."

"Yeah, i've done the DADA homework. Have you done it?" Kita asked Arya. She turned to Kay and smiled at her. "Quidditch tryouts would have been great if it wasn't for the bugs. What happened to your arm?" she said, "The new professor is a bit weird. I didn't like the Unforgiveable Curses."

Kita looked up and saw a girl sitting with them. "Hi. I'm Kita," she said.

Kita didn't know why she was so quiet but she felt herself zoning out at a particular moment in time. She suddenly tuned back to reality to hear the others talking about Muggle things. She smiled knowing that this was one subject which she could talk about a lot. "You do swimming and gymnastics? Wow. Wish i could do that," she said.
