Sure, it would be very interesting to stay, but he had near enough of all this stuff. And plus seeing as Jack was gathering the prefects he had to inform the Gryffindor House.
He began walking toward the door. He turned back around and opened his mouth to speak. What was he going to say? 'Good luck Headmaster. Hope you catch the people doing this'? He instead shut his mouth and quietly exited his office. Boy, was second year turning out to crazy or what?

Destiny took one last look at all the people in the room before she walked out. She wondered if she should owl her parents, and tell them what was going on..

"Yes, child?" Tate raised an eyebrow at the girl. Was she part of this motley crew?
He looked like I was suspicious! Thought Jenny. There was no way she could be a part of anything, she had been waiting for hours. "Ohh, errm, I just-wanted-to-give-" Jenny tried to breathe while talking, "You-these-flowers..." and she held out roses, which were lovely light pink, but one was yellow, one was green (She had charmed it), one was blue, and one red. Those were to represent the four Hogwarts houses! She also, on each of the four special flowers' stems, wrote 'Gryffindor' and all the other houses. Pretty clever idea!

Right. What to do if they saw someone or something suspicious.Got it.Obviously what that was they'd find out at the meeting.Too many people around to talk properly...
Sarah inwardly groaned, as Jack spoke. Her first year as a Prefect and all this was going on.Why couldn't it have been nice and easy? Hufflepuff winning both cups and no-one getting injured?
The events of the past couple of weeks went over and over in her head: Finding Miranda, taking her to the hospital wing, Wesley's theories and detective work, not sleeping, finding Cela's wand and badge in Hogsmeade...She thought and thought, completely oblivious to the fact that the Headmaster was now talking to Kazi and Jack... Quote:

That meant he could get to the bathroom faster and they could get this meeting underway ASAP. "Alright, talk to you later, Headmaster. I hope whoever is doing this is caught real soon," he added with a frown. With that, he turned and looked at Miles and Sarah as he walked out of the area. "See you two soon," he muttered. He wasn't sure how long they'd take before they got to the bathroom, and he couldn't stick around. He had to gather everyone else! ....Until he left.
Head snapping up, Sarah just caught his last words as he departed.Nodding, she gulped hard. "Yeah, not sure how long I'll -- we'll -- be though.." she smiled weakly, glancing over at Miles.Having no idea why he was here, Sarah couldn't say how long he would be. Quote:
Originally Posted by Orchideae Aaron had followed the brigade up from the dungeons and simply waited; he had presented his found items and theoretically could have gone back to the common room, but he wanted to be in the KNOW! He was genuinely curious, because it was like one of those things... once you got your feet wet, you had to get the rest of you wet. There was no partial way.
But what surprised the first year most was just HOW MANY other students were outside the Headmaster's office, with the Headmaster himself. Which meant that it was likely there were other problems other than the ones he and Barry and Sarah had discovered. . . at least that's what Aaron suspected.
Then, what Aaron only presumed to be the Head Boy, spoke about gathering the prefects in their bathroom. Instinctively, Aaron moved closer to his Prefect. He was NOT going to leave her side; not after they had found the Ravenclaw Prefect badge... He didn't want it to be his Prefect next. "Sarah," Aaron said weakly, looking at her pleadingly, protectively. He wanted to wrap his little arms around her and hold her tightly. He didn't want her to leave him, for fear of never seeing her again. Sniff. Sniff. Would it do any good for a first year to slap a grown man? As tempting as it was, Aaron was sure that it would probably hurt him more than the Headmaster. First, he was asking too many questions. A student was in mortal peril; why would Kazimeriz be requesting the Trace if he knew who?
And second, Prefects were having a meeting. Privately. Meaning, he couldn't go. And he couldn't protect Sarah. What if something happened in the bathroom? Locking down the school sounded sooo bad. And soo... sniffffff... What would Amelia do if she were here? Oh Merlin, Aaron sooo wish he got her good sense. She would know. She dealt with SPLIT GENDER SCHOOLS. Siiiggghhh. He didn't want to return to his common room though. Not without Sarah! He needed to watch her. To make sure she wasn't harmed. "Sarahhh," he pleaded again, only this time, he did wrap his tiny arms around her and clung to her robes. "Don't go." Staring into the middle distance, at the departing back of Jack, Sarah suddenly became aware of a movement to her side.Looking down she saw the blond hair of little Aaron, his face scanning everyone, taking everything in.And looking frightened and sad.She smiled warmly at the top of his head, then his face as he glanced up at her and whined her name.Awwww.Sarah's mothering instincts kicked in right then.
Tilting her head to the side as he grabbed her round the waist and hugged her, Sarah gently removed his arms and bent down so they were face to face. "Aaron sweetheart," she whispered, taking a clean tissue out of her pocket in case he needed it. "I have to go, when we're finished here, it's important for us Prefect's to know what is going on, and help plan for things. You understand that, don't you?" Handing him the tissue, she then pulled him into a tight hug, ruffling the back of his hair playfully. "I'll be fine, I promise.Back in the common room with you guys in no time...." Hopefully.Yes she would.

Tate's eyes widened slightly at her words. More scraps and things? "Thank you, my dear. Perhaps you'd like to take a seat and rest for the moment?" He gestured at one of the plushy couches and hoped someone would scoot over for her.
"I have to tell you," he said to Fia, but also to Vindictus and the students with him, "that these are not the first items found on the grounds. It seems to be connected to the injured students with no memories of how they got injured."
Hmm... good question. "Stay in the castle, be vigilant, and listen to your prefects. Other than that... adhere to your lessons and practice up on your dueling. I don't want anyone else to get injured if they can help it," Tate mused.
"Mortal peril?" Truebridge would do worse than punch him if someone died. Tate rose to his feet, leaning ominously toward the older man. "Who? What? And what leads you to believe this is true?"
He really really didn't want to tell that McArdle woman that he'd managed to kill a student.
"Yes, Jack. I think now would be an excellent time to gather the prefects together and work out a patrol schedule and a means to keep the students in the castle. Please dispatch them to their common rooms as soon as possible, and report to me if you see ANYTHING."
He held up his hands to get the attention of the gathered students. "I appreicate you are all concerned, but if we could just settle down and listen to each other, I believe we'll have better communication. If you are not here with the professors, I must ask you to hurry to your common rooms and tell the students there that we are locking down the school." Kazimeriz nodded with approval; a lockdown seemed to make sense. "Perhaps you could make an announcement throughout the school as well, and instruct the Prefects to take the names of all students as they enter their common rooms to ensure that no other students are unaccounted for... Headmaster." He spoke coolly as he used this title on the man, whose poor administration could very well have cost another life. Had the Headmaster post not been ripped from Kazimeriz, such things would never have happened... and if anything had happened to Toussaint, well... you will regret your incompetence. 'Headmaster'. "Meanwhile, again, I advocate swift action. Activate the Trace on Miss Toussaint at once, so we may locate her. These students--" he gestured to his small entourage "found her wand and her prefect badge in an alley behind the Hog's Head. Miss Toussaint is not one to be careless with such items, in my experience with the child." Well, if he were to be completely honest, the child was prone to impetuousness and was not as vigilant as he would have her be. Could he say definitively that the boy-crazy girl had NOT dropped her wand and badge while running wild in Hogsmeade? He could not. But his years as an Auror had ingrained in him a certain propensity to assume the worst. If she was found to be safe and merely careless, he would personally give her the detention of the century.
Right now, the important thing was to make sure the girl was safe. He clenched his hands as a coil of dread slithered through his heart; Celandine Toussaint reminded him far too much of his own Penelope. Was she doomed as Penny had been? His old heart quickened at the thought. "The Improper Use of Magic office must be notified; at the very least she is likely no longer at Hogwarts, so they should be able to monitor magical activity around her easily. Headmaster... we much act, and act now. The girl may be in serious danger." Or worse.

Hopefully.Yes she would. So much happened in a matter of minutes. It was hard for Barry to keep up. First spoke the headmaster. He knew it, they just wanted to kick them all out like always and do everything by themselves. Hadn`t Barry proven himself worthy enough to be kept in the loop? But for now he had an excuse. Kazi wouldn`t make him leave would he?
Then when Aaron and Sarah spoke he turned towards them. So Aaron agreed with him...sort of. But he didn`t want Sarah to go. He felt for him. He knew how`d he feel if his sister was going. He had to be sypythetic "It`ll be alright Aaron. Sarah will be ok. She`ll be with the other prefects. She won`t be alone. I`ll come with you to your common room, if you want" he offered to the young boy. If he took it up then he`d have another chance to look around. "You`ll let me know if you find out anything, right?" he asked as he looked to Sarah

| ♥Dunkin | Pixie's Precious Pea | kpop goddess | sneaky sounder | forever slytherin♥ It didn't take Raiden long to get to the Headmaster's office from the Prefect's bathroom. He had all but ran. Not to get away from Jack; the guy would get there anyway. It was just... the sense of panic setting in.
As he approached the office however, he noticed... people. Standing there. Stopping in his tracks, face a mask of anxiety, Raiden simply stared at them all from several yards away.
Surely they weren't all here for the same reason. |

| curly haired prefect - "sometimes I get angry!" - 30/90 - *chicken emoji* - probably @ Disney - I speak dog Jack felt a bit strange returning to the Headmaster's office after he had been there just an hour or so before, but a lot of people had brought up those coupons at that meeting, and now he wanted some answers--if he could get them, that was. Tate might just tell him to mind his own beeswax and kick him out to the curb. But he'd at least try!
And geeeeez Raiden was FAST! Jack hadn't seen him the whole way down here. Once he got there, he awkwardly stood next to him. He wanted to try and assure him that he'd be ok, and that Tate would be relieved to hear what he had to say. He didn't know what to say though, so he just gave him a small, reassuring smile as he waited for Tate to get to them. It was still just as crowded as when he had left.

Those were to represent the four Hogwarts houses! She also, on each of the four special flowers' stems, wrote 'Gryffindor' and all the other houses. Pretty clever idea! "Ah," Tate accepted the flowers and gave the girl an encouraging smile. "My dear, it is very good magic. Excellent work." Quote:

Tate raised an eyebrow at the man's tone. Surely he couldn't imagine that he, decrepit old man and crank that the students cringed from, that HE would have fared better against such an attack. He hadn't kept anyone from dying last year.
"It is a good suggestion, Professor, and I'll leave it to you to take care of contacting the Ministry to inact the trace." You know... since clearly Tate was incapable of doing so. He almost grinned at the man but a full year at Hogwarts had taught him that children didn't appreciate cocky grins.
Shame that.
"And of course, I'll let the prefects know that they need to count heads. I'll have the professors do rounds to make sure everyone is heading inside and to their common rooms as well." Quote:

That happened a while back and she needed to see how Dylan was doing. "You did a good job," Tate told the young lady seated near him. "What condition did you leave him in? Who was it?"

| ♥Dunkin | Pixie's Precious Pea | kpop goddess | sneaky sounder | forever slytherin♥ Hmm. Jack had caught up with him. Raiden cast a glance at the Head Boy, trying (and failing) to look apologetic.
"Why are there so many people here?" he asked quietly, the question directed to Jack even if Raiden was no longer looking at him. His eyes had found Professors Kazimeriz and Vindictus... which made an even stronger case for them being here about Cela. Her Head of House and the professor who seemed to really care about her a lot... "Jack... I don't like this situation at all."
It had been Jack that had found that girl last term, and Raiden who had stayed with him. The boy could see the twisted humour in that. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Armand Beta-Erikson Slytherin First Year Hogwarts RPG Name: Damien Beta-Erikson Slytherin First Year | Slytherin by heart Lina heard a familiar voice and looked behind her. "Oh! Raiden!" She edged over through everyone to get to him. "Raiden, Professor Kazimeriz said that Celandine is in mortal danger, and he's asking a Trace be used on her to find her. They're also saying that all the students are going to be counted and everything and that everyone's supposed to stay inside the castle. I wonder why her, of all of them. Everyone else has been coming back, haven't they? You don't think they'd actually kill her, do you?"

| ♥Dunkin | Pixie's Precious Pea | kpop goddess | sneaky sounder | forever slytherin♥ ...Raiden choked on air. Mortal danger? Kill her? The young man's face dropped down a few more shades and he reached for the closest thing he could to steady himself. One hand caught Lina's shoulder and stayed there; Raiden stared at Lina with large, horrified green eyes.
"He said what about Cela?" Raiden asked disbelievingly. At this point, all the students were classified as 'in danger'. Mortal danger, however, was a whole new level of do not want, and it made Raiden's brain attempt to go places he didn't want it to go. "Nobody's... going to kill her."
There was no way she could possibly ever be dead. Because that was simply unthinkable. She was Celandine Toussaint for Merlin's sake. |

Jack was a bit surprised that the crowd hadn't thinned very much since he had left, but then again, it had only been an hour--two tops. "I dunno...I think most of these students were the ones who found the evidence," he whispered back.
He took a step back as a girl, who obviously knew Raiden, ran up to him. Jack focused on the professors, waiting for the moment when Raiden would be able to share what Cela had told him before she disappeared, when the girl said that they were talking about Cela possibly being DEAD.
Noooo. There was just....noooo. Jack had never even considered that possibility. The worst place his mind had ever wandered was that she was trapped in a cellar somewhere, in bad shape like Reese BUT alive. He just couldn't allow himself to believe that might be it. There was just no wayyyy! "Don't worry--once Tate knows about what Cela told you before she disappeared, I'm sure they'll look into at once," he told him, trying to keep the boy's spirits up. Surely if he told them about the Hogs Head connection, they'd run down there and tear the place up right away. Right?

There was no way she could possibly ever be dead. Because that was simply unthinkable. She was Celandine Toussaint for Merlin's sake. Uh oh... "You know her, don't you?" she said quietly. She took his hand and took him off to the side. "Okay, I was at the professor's office to talk to him about homework and he walked out saying that he was in a hurry because another student might be in trouble. So, I came along to talk to him about it, since he said I could, and wound up following him here. Approaching the headmaster he said, 'I believe one of our students may be in mortal peril... We may wish to call for the Ministry to enact the Trace.' And he had a wand and prefect badge in hand. Then everyone else started talking, and apparently the one he was talking about was Celandine... Cela."
She took a deep breath, looked back at the professors, then turned back to him. "And then Professor Kazimeriz said," she closed her eyes, as though looking inside her mind. "'I advocate swift action. Activate the Trace on Miss Toussaint at once, so we may locate her. These students found her wand and her prefect badge in an alley behind the Hog's Head. Miss Toussaint is not one to be careless with such items, in my experience with the child.' And the headmaster told him it was a good idea, and that he should go contact the Ministry."
She opened her eyes again, looking into Raiden's, something about her more mature than she had been. "Raiden, I can see how you care for her, and this is troubling you more than just her being gone. I won't ask the details, but I will assure you that she will be found. And if I can do anything to help, I will."

| ♥Dunkin | Pixie's Precious Pea | kpop goddess | sneaky sounder | forever slytherin♥ "I've known her for five years," Raiden said quietly, almost surprised at the realisation. Five years was a long time, at least for someone his age. It was a whole third of his life, pretty much. the young man went silent as he listened to Lina rattle off, possibly word-for-word, what Kazimeriz had said. A few parts didn't make sense to him, really, and Raiden focused his attention on that rather than thinking about what she'd said before.
This being worried about Cela thing was a hundred times worse than the 'being worried about Daphne' thing had been. At least he'd been there to stop Daph from jumping out the window.
"Trace?" That was the one thing that threw him. What did they mean by 'Trace'? He looked at Jack, biting his bottom lip absently as he thought about it. "What... what's this trace thing?" |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Armand Beta-Erikson Slytherin First Year Hogwarts RPG Name: Damien Beta-Erikson Slytherin First Year | Slytherin by heart She started to say something then winced, holding a hand to her forehead. The harder she tried to think about it, the more white she began to see. Finally, she just took a deep breath and shook her head. "I could have sworn... It was on the top of my tongue." Oh well. "Anyway, I imagine it's like how they can find us just about anywhere if they have the right advantage." Then it occured to her: "Oh! That's something else he said! He said to contact Improper Use of Magic since she's not at the school and so it might be easier to track magic being used around her."
"Hmm... Now that I think about it, I seem to recall a ritual I saw once that if you knew a person's starting point, then you can track them from there by lighting up a trail of where they have gone since then."

And then there was suddenly a buttload of people in the room! Sheesh! Where had they all come from?
But one thing was certain, they were talking about the same thing - students being found hurt, dissapearances and the mystery of it all. Miranda watched everyone with wide eyes, trying to take EVRYTHING in. She did not want to miss anything incase it gave her clues on what or whom to go after.
Sarah was there...and the rest of the Prefects it seemed. Aaron aswell. Miranda frowned - what was he doing here? This is no discussion for a young child to hear. Imagine the nightmares he'll have by words alone. Oh!
The Prefects were going to have a meeting now! Well... She did not want to miss that. After all this chinding was over, she'd head straight up to the bathroom and try to get clues of whatever was going on.
....and also help, if she could and they would let her. Quote:

I'm not a prefect or anything... but I'd really much like to offer my assistance. I mean, if you or the Prefects need help, I'd like to. And I'm sure the other Captains would like to, also."
Sure, she had no authority at all, but maybe a little bit of...er, organisation skills, of the already high amount they had, could maybe be put into use. That is...if they thought she had any. Hopefully, they did.

He had just been about to answer Raiden's question about the trace and, instead, let out a tiny squeak because his mouth had been open. Whoops. "Erm, actually Professor Kazimeriz, Raiden had a conversation with Cela before she disappeared...something about those coupons...I think he should tell you the rest, I'm a bit fuzzy on the exact details," he said. He glanced at Raiden, letting him know that he could talk now if he wanted. "I'm here to get more information on the situation, if Raiden's story changes anything," he said, referring to the lockdown and Tate's decision to cancel Hogsmeade lessons. "In case anything else is needed from the prefects," he explained. AND of course, he was here to stick by Raiden, who was looking even more shaken up now about the fact that Cela might possibly be--gulp--dead.

| ♥Dunkin | Pixie's Precious Pea | kpop goddess | sneaky sounder | forever slytherin♥ Right. A way to find the stud-
Urk.
Jack had given him the 'tell them now' look. Straightening up, trying his very best to look as if he weren't worried to the point of being physically ill, the pale young man focused his gaze on Professor Kazimeriz.
"Sir... Cela told me, before she disappeared, that I shouldn't use the Hog's Head coupons were I to get one. She said I shouldn't go there, and if I did I should be careful." He paused, to let the shake in his voice pass. "She said it was a bad place, sir. But then she said she thought she needed to go there. We got into a fight, I didn't..." Deep breath. "I didn't think she'd actually go alone if she felt something was off."
If the old man jinxed him right now, he would probably deserve it. Raiden had gotten mad, and hadn't listened, and now Cela was gone and possibly hurt as badly as the students who kept coming back, or worse...
Wheels started turning in Raiden's head at that moment, and he frowned. What if... |
