Vida smiled...well..acutally more than a limit. But who cares?! It seems he recognized her. It was a mirracle how a simple nod makes her more happy.

"Morning Sir!" she acknowledged his silent greetings with smile, still waiting for her turn.

"Yes I know," he said rather sheepishly and scratched the back of his head. "Sorry." He shook his head at the Headmaster's question, "No I believe you know what you're doing but one does have to wonder where his intentions lie..." Spoken like a true politician. Well...mostly. It was clear though that the Headmaster hadn't been told who he was exactly. Good...and bad. If his father heard about who was teaching very bad indeed.

Seeing a girl walk up he decided now wasn't really the time or place to inform him of all of that. He didn't want word getting out. "I'm just saying...my father can't find out," he looked up at the Headmaster meaningfully. "At all." And lord help the poor soul who makes that mistake...and Miles himself. "It's apparent that you haven't been made aware of my situation and as...out here isn't the place to discuss it I think I'll let you take care of your other students." He stood up and with a good natured smile nodded slightly, "Thanks for letting me get that off my chest even if it was moot. And...when you get a chance look at my file if you have one. That's all I'm saying. I think it's important you know who I am but I don't want everyone else knowing." Smiling he headed back down the hall nodding at the girl with the flower. Strange place to have a flower really though...why bring it to the Headmaster? Weird... Shrugging he made his way down the stairs...he had promised Fia some ice cream and he'd live up to that.

"Good day, Mr. Vorkosigan," Tate watched the man go, eyebrows up once again. Odd boy. Chatty. Pompous.

Why wasn't he a Gryffindor?

"Now, Miss... what can I do for you?"

Vida sighed relievedly when the boy got up and walking away. Thankyou, er..Ravenclaw boy, Prefect.

Now he was talking to her. Really. Vida's eyes smiled with her "I just came here..to..see you ..and..give this to you.." she stretched out her arm to present the flower, a nice white archid, to him ".. since you're new to Hogwarts too" she nodded her head gracefully, not caring her well-cared, now straightened hair.

Sidney walks down the second floor hall when she spots Headmaster Tate talking to a Ravenclaw girl. The headmaster holds some orchids in his hand. The girl is making goo goo eyes at the headmaster. Oooh, Headmaster Tate has a fan girl. I wonder if Headmaster Tate is used to students with a crush on him? Sidney can't help but giggle. You know what would makes this scene perfect. Some beautiful blue and orange butterflies swirling around them. I am suppose to be practicing my Transfiguration spells, so Headmaster Tate shouldn't get too mad at me. Sidney takes out her wand and whispers, "Papillio while she waves her wand. Beautiful orange Monarch butterlfies fly out of her wand. She then repeats the spell. This time blue butterfies fly out of Sidney's wand. They fly off in the direction of the Gargoyle Sitting Area. Sidney hides and watches.

"Um?" Tate took the flowers and examined them closely. A trap? A trick? What was she giving him a flower for? It made no sense.

"Thank you?"

And then... there were butterflies. THIS PLACE WAS NUTTERS.

Vida really liked the butterflies, in brilliant blue and Orange. God sent?! Smiling to herself, she looked at him now.

Thankgod, he took the flower, but...but..not smiling. She really missed his smile. May be she was in wrong time? Was he worried about something important, or family? Family. Sigh.

But her mission was accomplished. She wanted to see him, talk to him and it was fulfilled.

"I know it's odd. But I just wanted to, b'cuz.." she trailed off, "..B'cuz you said students can meet you at anytime. And I dont like to come empty handed." Vida nodded her head, still expecting atleast a small smile from him. she explained well? Well..Yes.

Sidney watches Tate examine the flowers. She has to stuff a chocoball in her mouth to stop from laughing. Five galleon says the headmaster will put the flowers in water to keep them from exploding. Is the guy paranoid or what? I'd love to get him in a game of Exploding Snaps. Headmaster Tate would probably obliverate the cards when they explode. The guy has to be Mad-eye Moody's great nephew.

"And of course, you MAY come meet with me anytime," the corner of his mouth twitched into a half smile. Odd duck.

"The flowers were a thoughtful touch. I think I have..." He patted his pockets. Ah, there it was. "Have a voucher for your next Hogsmeade weekend. If you don't need anything else, I'll excuse myself and head to my office."

Sidney's interest is peaked when Headmaster Tate hands the Ravenclaw a slip of brown paper. Professor Dumont gave some of them out in Divination class. He said they were good for a free butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks. Now the headmaster's giving them out too. Interesting... I wonder why Hogwarts is druming up business for shops in Hogsmeade. They must be okay. I doubt the headmaster would hand out potentially dangerous items, would he? Tate is friends with Duskurk, and he is one creepy dude. I'm talking like the headmaster now. Next thing I'll be seeing conspiracies everywhere too.

Aww..now he smiled. Smart. This place is more brighter now.

Vida smiled, hey where are the butterflies? "Thank you, Sir. I'll try not to disturb you." Will watch you from distance, though.

When he mentioned about flowers, she nodded, but it will look more beautiful if you wear it on your tux or blazer. "Thank you. And yes I'll leave you alone if you sign on this voucher," she smiled as took the voucher from him, "Please?"

"Oh, I don't think these vouchers work like that," Tate frowned at her a moment, but he did as she asked. What did it hurt... and if it required a signature, she'd be well covered.

"Don't worry about disturbing me. I'm not particularly academic, so I need the break. Have a good day, miss."

Yay. YAY! She got his signature! Wow!

A nice legitimate signature. Vida looked at it for few seconds then looked up with a huge smile on her face, "Thankyou so much Sir. For Everything." Yes, EVERYTHING.

She stood up, "Vida. Miss Vida Chadway" she grinned, "And dont forget to wear the flowers on your coat" she said happily over her shoulder as she was walking nah..hopping down the corridor.

Sidney wanted to gag. She hopes she doesn't act like that when she's older. Sure the headmaster is nice looking, but he's ancient. The guys got to be at least thirty. Professor Lawson's right. I never want to be a teenager. Sidney collects her bag and walks past the Gargoyle Entrance.

Nate sat down outside of the Headmaster's office. He was worried about Cadence. She seemed to keep bringing up the idea of leaving and how everyone hated her. Well except for him and the first years. He remembered all the incedents about dungbombs and him overhearing something about pie?

Tate had not yet returned to his office when he spotted the young man seating himself. "Well, lad? What can I do for you? Do you need privacy?"

"Umm...Well if you wouldn't mind headmaster. I would like to speak to you in private." he said standing and twiddling his thumbs. He felt small compared to him. But he had to tell somebody about what was happening to Cadence. He couldn't let her go crazy again.

"After you," Tate gestured to the staircase.

Miles walked down the corridor and stopped short when he thought he saw Vindictus heading toward the Headmasters office. Looking curious he turned and began walking toward the stone gargoyles that guarded the entrance. Much to his dismay missing the staircase that had appeared and standing with a frown outside. Hmm. He wanted to know what was going on....

He tried to peer around the gargoyles with a frown. Wonder if one of those ear things would go in there... He REALLY wanted to know what was going on. Especially after his talk with Vindictus.

A trail of lake water followed Jake from where he'd entered the castle and walked up here. He hadn't gone to pack yet, but after speaking to Tate he would go and do that. Shivering, Jake hugged his own torso, not daring to sit down since he was dripping lake water everywhere.

Jake's bottom lip was trembling, and the boy sniffled and messed up his hair, making droplets of water fly everywhere.

At the slightest sound of even his own breath, Jake nearly leapt into the air. He was nervous about running into Lawson... partly because of what had just happened and partly because he didn't want the man to think he was telling.

Merlin, he was so cold. Jake didn't recommend being thrown into the lake in this weather.

Jenny walked up. She yawned a bit, then sat down. I am so going to bust that woman. Professor Whatshername..errm..Lupa is going to PAY! She waited for Tate. If he didn't come, she would just die. "Papillio" She whispered to get his attention. Beautiful white butterflies emerged. They looked like nervous fairies. She did the spell again, and this time orange and yellow ones appeared.

Spotting someone else walk up, Jake shivered a bit and turned to face her, still hugging his own soaking wet body. Jeeeez, these robes took an age to dry.

"Wh-wh-what are yuhh-you in fuh-fuh-for?" he asked, half joking to make light of the situation. He couldn't begin to guess the nature of the girl's visit, and it was nice to make conversation.

"Eh, nothing much. I wanted to come in because I was having some trouble getting around the school, I know nothing about this place..and what better person to visit for all the help possible than the headmaster?" Jenny said. "What are you in for, also?" She saw him somewhere..somewhere.."I'm Jenny, by the way."

"Home," Jake shrugged, still shivering, still dripping lake water everywhere. But he didn't seem to notice it at all. "Juhh-just... ttttrying to get bbback home."

Yar, so he was.

"Huhh-haven't you sssspoke to the puhh-prefects or Shhhhhackleton or anythuhh-thing. Shackleton is our huhhh-head of hhhhouse."

The girl WAS a Hufflepuff, right?

Back home? She wasn't going to ask. Jenny knew no Shackletons or Prefects. "Oh, I've never seen any prefects or Shackleton. I don't really know who are the prefects or anything.''
