Headmaster's Seating Area While you wait for your turn with the Headmaster, take a seat in one of the comfy couches scattered on either side of the gargoyles. If you're bored, he has thoughtfully provided you with several magazines about exceedingly boring Muggle subjects for your perusal. |
Letting out a heavy breath, Sabel considered the stone gargoyles as he stood off to the side of the waiting room. That he had gotten himself into this mess and into the Headmaster's office on his first day was a strange concept, and he wasn't quite sure he liked it. So, to keep himself from examining the details too closely, he distracted himself by picking at the hem of his sleeve as he admired the stonework of the sculptures. He wondered who had created it and how long it had taken them. His frown deepend a little. "Kellen, is it just me or do you find it strange how they look so terrifying when they represented a man that issupposed to be open and sheltering to the students of Hogwarts?" He nodded at the gargoyles as he glanced at the other fourth year that had helped him find the office. |

He wandered over to the magazines, "Here, take your mind off them with... Flyfishing Forecast '69? Jeez, the least he could do is update..." He flipped to a random page and wrinkled his nose, showing Sabel the photograph, "Ever wanted to look down the throat of a large-mouthed bass?" He didn't know if he should stay or keep going. Was Sabel the kind of person to freak himself out and break down crying if left alone? Certain people in Kellen's life did that, no names mentioned. "Er, Dakest? You want me to stay? Until the Headmaster gets here?" |

Blinking at Kellen's lack of certainty, Sabel looked back up at the other boy. "Oh. Sorry. If you want to go you can. I don't want to keep you. Thanks, for showing me how to get here. I have the feeling I would have ended up somewhere on the other side of the castle." |

"Showing you how to get here?" Kellen snorted, "You must be joking, I was following you the whole time! I've never been in this castle in my life!" |

Rubbing the back of his neck he walked back over to the gargoyles. He had no idea how any of this worked, and there was no one around to give them any help. Shrugging internally he decided it was worth a shot; he would only end up looking silly in front of Kellen if anything, and that was alright. Looking up at the gargoyles he tilted his head a little. "Uh...stone guardians? We are...or rather...I am here to see the Headmaster...eerr...Press star to review your message? The number symbol to leave a new one?" |
"I'm here, I'm here," Tate waved a hand as he strode down the hall, his long legs eating the distance in no time at all. "Good lad, showing up so early. If you'll follow me upstairs..." He stepped to the gargoyle and spoke a word under his breath. "Great ugly thing, aren't you?" his voice was almost fond as the gargoyles moved aside to reveal the staircase. "Follow me." |

Some part of him hoped the lippy Gryffindor would tell the Headmaster to update his reading material. |

Jumping a little at the sudden voice, Sabel's eyes snapped over to the Headmaster. He hadn't expected a response to his vocalization at that exact moment. But at least he hadn't tripped over his feet in the process of scaring himself. Letting out a sigh he turned to follow the Headmaster, glancing back over his shoulder and giving Kellen a wave and small smile. "Take it easy Stern." Then he set his eyes to the stairs, being careful not to trip, or at least to hope he wouldn't trip. |
Daniel, for once wanted to speak with the new Headmaster. He had been planning this for long, but he wouldn't discuss the big plan yet. But he only wanted to say hi and get acquainted. |
Satine smoothed out her robes as she sat down in one of the extra fluffy and extra comfy couches beside the gargoyles. She glanced at the gargoyle and for some odd reason felt like at one point she had painted his face last term, but that was crazy....right?...if that had happened she would've remembered. She quickly pushed the thoughts out of head as she sunk into the couches. She sunk so far in that her feet no longer reached the floor. She quickly smiled as she imagine what a sight this must be for the other people waiting to see the Headmaster. Satine had debated waiting to come visit the Headmaster, but she decided that the first few days at Hogwarts might be less as busy in the whole scheme of things. She placed the gift basket she had made over the break for the new Headmaster beside her on the couch but as it, too, began to sink in, she quickly placed in on the floor near her dangling feet. She then opened her newest book about Muggle and Wizard Event Planning and waited her turn patiently but excitedly. This was the year for her to make a mark and this was the first step. |
Sidney turns around and sees several other students sitting down waiting to see the headmaster. I guess fanfest is over. Darn I was enjoying being a student during Voldemort's reign of terror. Sidney quietly walks over to one of the comfy couches and sits down. She picks up a magazine and discovers it's an ancient copy of Majesty Magazine. Sidney starts reading about the various muggle royal families of Europe. |
Alexa ran all the way to the waiting area for the Headmaster's office. She had every intention of telling him about what Professor Creepy Dude had just had them do in DADA... or better yet, Dark Arts. That guy was a piece of work... and he was mean... and she was scared of him and didn't want to take the class anymore. Where was Lorcan? She looked around as she plopped down on a couch, gasping for breath. |
Lorcan ran up behind Lexi. "Don't... wait... for me.... then." He wheezed, frowning at her. He flopped down next to her on the couch. When he had got his breath back he murmured "No need to ask why you came here. That bloke was a nutter." |
Alexa smiled as Lorcan plopped down on the couch next to her. But then she began to chew on her bottom lip and tears sprang up in her eyes. She was never going back in that classroom as long as that man was having them do those horrible things. Never. Looking to Lorcan, tears in her eyes she said, "Nutter doesn't cover it" |
Lorcan was alarmed to see tears in her eyes. He put his arm around her, wincing since it was his wand arm and that meant that there was pressure against his still healing arm. "Listen, once we've told the new Head Master what he had us doing in there, he won't be teaching again. Don't cry, please." He gave her a little squeeze and tried to smile reassuringly. |
Looking very much displeased, Jake moved over to the chairs by the Stone Gargoyle thing and sat down, looking at the other students still here. He'd heard the word 'nutter' when he was making his way over, and... well... he wondered if they were here for the same reason he was. That boy complained in class also... yes? "Duskurk?" he looked at the pair, one of whom seemed upset. Dude. They could all complain together. |

She'd been crying. Awkward. Averting his eyes, Jake studied the gargoyle with an intense gaze and shoved his hands into his pockets, a dark thought in his mind. He nodded his head, because yeah, he'd like to go up with them. Not alone. Still, he voiced his opinion on Tate. "Unless hhhhe already knuhh-knows..." Mhmm. Unhappy days. |

She had no clue about this Headmaster, but she hoped to Merlin that he didn't approve of his students performing Unforgivable Curses in class. |
Tate emerged from the entrance to his suite and noted all the gloomy little faces in his sitting area. Well. How friendly. "Is this a mobbing? Do I require Auror protection for this little intervention?" |
Hearing a voice that was remniscient of the start of term feast, Jake turned to the headmaster and tilted his head to the side. He stared at the man for a moment before speaking. "Nnnno, it isn't," Jake replied. "Nnnno, you duhh-don't." Sparing the other girl a glance, Jake... Jake wondered whether the man KNEW. |
Alexa sniffled a bit more and looked up at the She glanced over at the other boy.. Jake, she thought was his name... |
"And do you require the privacy of my office, or can we conference right here?" He was all for pulling up a comfortable sofa for a while. Those stairs of his were a KILLER. He needed a lift. |
Alexa shifted uncomfortably on the couch. Dear Merlin did the dude have to be so... handsome... and intimidating at the same freakin time. Geez! Sniffling and taking a deep breath she said, "Well sir, I am a bit upset with Professor Duskurk teaching us Unforgivables in DADA. I don't think it's right, and I don't wanna go back to his class because.... well the dude is super creepy, sir and he totally scares me." She clamped her mouth shut after blurting out. She began to nervously chew on the inside of her cheek and one lone tear dropped her eye. "Sir, we are all a bit creeped out by Professor Duskurk." she said as she cast a glance at the other boy. |
