"Mr. Kaiser," Tate gestured at the chair that was zipping across the room. "That's quite a lot of name for just one person. Enough to share with a friend and have name left over. What can I do for you today, lad?"

Daniel took a sit at the gestured chair. He then chuckled as the Headmaster joked about his name, "Well, sir, Daniel was my godfather and father's bestfriend, Robert was my grandfather and James is my mother's grandfather." he chuckled again with the history of his name.

"Well, Headmaster, sir. I wanted to ask you something but I think I need more time and planning before that. so, I am here just to meet and greet you for being here." he said smiling wide for the Headmaster.

"Perhaps you should just be a Gryffindor and tell me exactly what it is you require," Tate raised an amused eyebrow at the boy in front of him. "Mr. Kaiser, its a pleasure to meet you. Did you have anything you could talk about with me today?"

Daniel smiled and sat straight against the door. "Well Professor, I am planning to surprise a special someone on her birthday, which will be at March." He smiled and blushed a little bit and sighed.

"I know it is a bit too early to ask for your permission and the plans are not finalized yet, but I feel like bringing up this early to you." he said looking at the Headmaster's eyes.

"And also, to finally meet you. Since my godfather had been talking about having a new Hogwarts Headmaster for a long time." he said and chuckled at the Headmaster.

"Do I know your godfather?" Tate frowned, trying to think of every Daniel he knew. He must, although no one came to mind immediately. "As for special someone's, I try to avoid dealing with that sort of thing. Keep your mind in your studies, lad. Time enough for girls after Hogwarts."

Or not, actually. He was 36 now and still didn't have time.

There was a racket coming through his door. "Sweet Circe, what is going on out there? You don't mind if I let the poor professor in?"

Daniel blushed when the Professor said the he must focus on the studies...

"Well, my godfather works in the Ministry so he knew a little too much about the happenings in the Magical world." he smiled.

He then looked at the Professor then towards the door. Something is definitely happening outside. Daniel nodded when asked if he minds the Professor coming in. This mean he wanted the Professor in. Or should he be going out?

"Yes, the Ministry struggles to keep things confidential," Tate said, his smile a bit tight around the edges. Merlin, was nothing sacred? Need to know becomes need to tell becomes call your friends?

"If you'll excuse me, Mr. Kaiser, I believe I have to let the professor up the stairs. If you'll get back to me when you're ready to discuss your issue, I'll talk to you at a later date."

Daniel smiled at the Headmaster and nodded as a sign of agreement with the Headmaster.

"Thank you, Professor for hosting me here. I will try to visit you every now and then if that is alright." he said as he stood from the chair and slowly heads towards the door.

"Have a good day, Mr. Kaiser," Tate agreed, following the boy out the door and down the stairs to retrieve whoever was kicking his door in.

As Alessia followed the headmaster in she limped a little. "I apologize for my little... over reaction. But I... accidentally" right... "kicked the gargole... and now my toe hurts. I guess with the pain I couldn't think clearly and I forgot your password."

"Ah," Tate turned on her, pointing out the chair without inviting her to sit. "You have my password? Interesting in that I specifically did not give it out. I'll have to change it."

"Alright. So maybe I don't have your password, I told you I wasn't thinking clearly." She said taking a seat. "I assume I can sit?" She asked and smirked. He was being all secretive, why? She looked around. The place was different. "I wanted to speak to you about one of your new hires." She said with a sigh. "Before I go to speak to him, I thought maybe I'd get some insight from you."

"A trade of information. I was going to summon you, actually, to give me information on some interesting artifacts I found here in my office." He leaned back in his seat and surveyed her. Little Less.

"Trade secret?" She asked perplexed. "Fine..." She said rolling her eyes. That was not nice... He had something for her? Artifacts? Why for her? She nervously uncrossed and re-crossed her legs. Why was she nervous... it's not as if she left anything in the Headmaster's office... "What do you have Case?"

"You're my guest, Less. By all means... let's discuss your question first," he spread his hands wide in an open gesture.

"You don't think much of me, do you? And we used to be friends too, or something like it."

"I think you are a very nice guy, why do you think that?" She asked him confused. "I was hoping you could let me know about Duskurk," she said looking at the door. "He scolded me like a child about the rudeness of the students in my house. The students all seemed to think he was the one who was rude. I don't know who to believe.

"Thomas is delicate to handle. Be nice to him. He expects a different standard of behavior than the more lax standards of these past few years. To be honest, I don't think its such a bad thing. The professors in this school need to differentiate themselves more. We are here to train and inspire. It doesn't matter if they like us." He drummed his fingers on the desktop.

"I don't see anything of the girl I knew at Hogwarts, nor the woman I met again in Paris only 6 years ago. Where have they gone?"

"I don't care if I'm liked or not. I care that they are treated with respect. We need to lead by example, Case," She said and shook her head. "But if I need my kid gloves with him, I can do that." She uncrossed and re-crossed her legs again.

"I'm no longer the shy kid I was school... and I believe you had a little bit to do with bringing me out of my shell..." She smiled. "I don't think I'm different from the girl in Paris..." she lied. She was indeed different... "I think I'm just a little more cautious, because of what happened back then... in Paris... I met someone... and things didn't go well... at all." He didn't want to hear this...

"You say that like they're mutually exclusive. That we can't be firm with them while still leading by example." Tate wasn't used to having his words thrown back at him or being questioned. He found that he didn't care for it.

"You were only Paris for a bit for your birthday," Tate mused. "I'll look forward to getting to know the new you as I knew you back when we were children." But not as he'd known her in Paris. He'd never cared for that version of Less Lupa.

"I was supposed to be in Paris for a couple of weeks... I... met someone, and remained for two years. I taught at Beauxbaton during that time." No one knew where she had gone... Remi saw to that. "Thinks went sour and I... left." To put it mildly.

... Wait...

He was looking forward to get to know her like when they were kids? That wouldn't be good to her swearing off men... "Uhmm well, if you don't think I should talk to him about it... I wont." He was the boss after all. "You said you had something to show me?" and she smiled as she remembered the last time he said he had something for her.

"You look a bit panicked, Lupa. I hate to think that it has to do with this ex of yours, but worse if it has to do with me. I know we weren't really friends at Hogwarts, and I don't presume to be friendly again, but on good terms at least? I think we can manage that." She was a source of amusement.

He tipped over his coffee mug, revealing several stones printed with runes. "I found these when I was airing the office. I'm shocked Bontecou and the Ministry never found them, and I don't recognize these runes as Elder Futhark."

"Not panicked... I'm fine. And the reason you don't recognize them as the Futherk is because they aren't..." She said looking at them in shock...

"Well then?" He rattled them at her before shoving the whole lot back into his mug. "What are they? How are they used? And what good would they be hidden all over this office?"

"These are witch's runes... created to BE runes, this is the sun... the moon," Odd... that one was on a white stone... all the other witch's runes were on earth tone runes... "Hmmm the birds, which signifies travel... the spears or crossroads..." The other three were fuzzy in her mind, "and these runes... well these aren't runes... well... not historically. They are stones that were made by ancient Sanskrit wizards to control and bind their enemies. They weren't as effective as they had wished, so they weren't widely used. They resurfaced and have been used by muggles and wizards alike for massages for they center on whichever body part the stone is named for and give that spot a jolt of magical power." She said as she touched them.

"But what do you think?" Tate poured the runes out again and shoved them around. "I mean... could these have anything to do with Bontecou pulling a runner? Would he have left them behind?"
