Large quantities of food are spread before you. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the Hogwarts' house elves are the best in the world. The food is superb and the company is as well.
The house poem, penned by All4oliverwood:
Get up off of your seats
Ready for some fun?
You ain't seen nothin' yet
For this years just begun
Friends are rollin' in
It's faces old and new

Outside of the castle
Ready for things to fly

"She's perfectly fine when she's not attached to my arm, or back, or sometimes my chest. Or touching me." Raiden shrugged, setting aside the apple core. "I like her. She's nice. Just... well yeah, there's nothing really appropriate to describe her level of friendliness."
His last comment was directed to Kellen, who then embarked on a tale of the loony person who had been after Sabel and Chaucer.
Definitely a hundred times more terrifying than Neptune could even aspire to be.
Raiden almost felt lucky for a second there.
"I wouldn't be mean to her or anything, Daph. She's just excitable, is all. It..." He paused, mulling over the proper words for this. "She surprised me. Not even five minutes after I'd met her, she was being snuggly and calling me romantic. It was... new."
But. He was adjusting to that. He'd get used to it! Yes he would. And then he'd... figure out the whole... boyfriend thing. Because that had to be dealt with. Yes indeed.
Retrieving her hand, Daphne's smile faded as well. If she was to be honest, Daphne...was....frightened.
Not for herself but for the entire male population; well, alright, mostly she was frightened for Raiden Kururugi. He was going to die before he even graduated. Wide-eyed, she listened to Kellen go on in a bit of a rant about...girls.
She then looked at her reflection on the nearest silverware. She was a girl. Did she go around suctioning herself to the opposite sex? No. She didn't think so.
"Neptune Bott isn't so bad," commented Daphne tapping her chin. "Although, I guess I'm not a boy so I wouldn't know." Hmm. "She's young," she said in the girl's defense. It was...the best she could do. Truth was, Neptune was a bit...err. "She should be okay in small doses." Very small doses.
Chuckling at Kellen's last comment, Daphne swept her hazel eyes towards Raiden. "You have to treat her well, okay? Like a lady. At least Neptune isn't going around calling us peasants and wanting to have our heads chopped."
Unlike...someone...she had met. And...cue Sabel Dakest being utterly confused. Raising one hand, Daphne brought it to pat his shoulder and...changed her mind half-way. That was probably not a good idea in his current state of mind.
"Probably not," she answered him. "You've received enough trauma for one day."
Sabel blinked at Daphne. Not for the raised hand and not to object towards the not-telling-to-keep-Sabel-trauma-sane part either. He wanted to know, but more importantly...."You know Enid and Alexa?"

After a moment of listening to Daphne, in which time he had the chance to collect himself properly, Sabel pulled his hand away though his eyes still smiled with amusement. "That does sound like Enid. And Alexa was also in the same state of mind as Enid. Though...Alexa snapped out of it a little while after things settled. Apparently it was the pumpkin juice."

Lucy walked into the Great Hall, exhilerated at life in general. Okay, so maybe that was because she had gotten what she wanted, but still. Her smile was the biggest ever and she walked over to the Gryffindor House Table with a slight skip in her step.
As she pulled a plate of fries towards her, she thought she might take a walk outside again--perhaps with the company of her one and only. This thought made her giggle and she hurriedly stuffed a fry into her mouth.
Was he laughing at her? Apparently, he found it amusing that she had been called a peasant and threatened with being beheaded. Blushing, Daphne popped two grapes into her mouth. It was best to chew all self-doubts away before she opened her mouth.

He tried to be solemn, sincere, calm and composed. But it failed. Miserably.
A small snicker escaped him, enticing him to put his hand back over his mouth to try and suppress it. She was blushing. Oh good Merlin she was blushing. Had he embarrassed her? Upset her? Oh how he wished his mind would release the amusement and allow him to settle upon a calm state.
Taking a deep, shaky breath, Sabel slowly lowered his hand and gave Daphne what he hoped was a reassuring and understanding smile that he wasn't laughing at her and he shared her concern with the food.
"Alexa said it had been spiked with a potion. I honestly do not know how Enid is fairing." He shook his head with amusement. Hindsight was twenty-twenty; where once he had been horrified about the issue of the King, now he was thoroughly amused. Now that Alexa was alright and things had been clarified.
"I don't know what else would cause anyone to believe that a cat is the King of Hogwarts." His amusement suddenly faded and he frowned. "Then again I don't know what would possess someone to be...as overexcited as they were." They of course referring to the two girls that had all but terrified Chaucer and himself.
Kellen shrugged at Sabel's words, "They're girls. They don't need a reason to be overexcited."
In Kellen's subconscious mind, there were two types of girls; girls and girls. Girls were, quite simply, not boys. Girls, on the other hand, were unpredictable, often crazy females who he was confident he would never ever understand. Even if someone wrote him a manual about them. Was not happening.
And then he remembered what he'd discovered on the sixth floor, "But you know, I found this really neat... spot." Don't say bathroom yet, there are girls AND girls around, "and we should go... there... sometime..."
Natalie couldn't help but sense that something was bothering Ella. However, they didn't know each other extremely well yet, so Natalie decided to let it go, assuming that if Ella really wanted to talk about it, she would do so. "My summer was alright. You know, just spent most of my time preparing for school and such," she explained. "How about you?"
Natalie turned to the girl who had sat on the other side of Ella. "I'm Natalie Conoman," she offered with a smile.

While the boys chattered what only boy creatures could find interesting, Daphne pondered the potion incident. Just who could have brewed such a strong little potion then? Tilting her head, she almost voiced her thoughts out loud but thought better of it. Kellen and Sabel seemed to be discussing err...something...odd.
"Um.." she began and for some reasons felt like she shouldn't even be listening. Daphne couldn't FATHOM what they were talking about. She should just finish eating her kumquat. Where did it go?

Lucy was stuffing fries into her mouth when she heard her name. She looked over and saw Ella sitting nearby. Oooh, Ella. Nate's EX. Poor Ella, she must go comfort her. They could be united in hating disliking both Nate and TrainGirl. So, Lucy grabbed her plate and walked over to Ella and...her other friends, nodding at them once. "Hey Ella! Long time no see! So, how was your summer?" Lucy asked her as she reached for a bottle of ketchup. Wait a minute--Summer=Natella. Whoops, wrong question to ask. Lucy looked at Ella expectantly, wondering what she would say.
Chaucer's eyes snapped open and, startled, he immediately raised himself from the table. His eyes darted about lazily in bewilderment, trying to take in his strange surroundings and the background noises that normally did not accompany his normal routine. Ah yes, I collapsed in exhaustion. My final strength used to summon Kellen... Although he straightened his tie and collar to appear more dignified, the left side of his face was red and slightly smooshed from having been on the table for so long; a fact that was only amplified by the pallid of his skin.
"Dozed off a little, did I? What time is it?" Chaucer asked, still bleary-eyed.
"'m allergic to pumpkin juice," Raiden said in an offhand fashion, shrugging. "Hearing that, I'm kinda glad for it, now."
People spiking pumpkin juice with loony potion. Anything was possible at Hogwarts, wasn't it. Merlin. As if last term hadn't been weird enough. Hopefully this term wouldn't attempt to top that...
...neat spot? Like... what kind of spot? Raiden's eyes went to Kellen, interested. Like a secret spot that Raiden hadn't seen yet? A hiding place? Because... he'd probably need one this term. It wouldn't be surprising.

Of course when Chaucer saw himself, he would put things much more dramatically than that. If anything, Kellen's words would snap him out of the daze of lingering slumber.

Really quickly. "You guys look after yourselves, alright? I'd offer my services as a bodyguard but I only ever took two lessons in Tae Kwon Do. So, you see? I'm literally useless. It was a pleasure meeting you, all. Even if, Chaucer here, did sleep through most of our time together."
Rambling. Aware of this, Daphne stood up, shoved the remains of the kumquat in her mouth and hurried awaaaay from the boys and the Great Hall. They'd probably appreciate being left alone to their testosterone meet.

Chaucer gave a pout. "What a thing to say to someone who has just woken up from an ordeal lost and confused!" Nonetheless, nimble hands slid into his pocket to pull out his compact. The click of the lid was clearly followed by a horrified squeak no man had business making. "This will NOT do. I look like a bloody corpse! Kellen, we must go to the bathroom immediately. I'll need you to work the hair while I fix this sad-looking cheek!"

Sabel, ah that was good. He must have explained everything to Kellen already, something which Chaucer was quite certain he did well. The boy had marvellous diction. The pitying look the boy gave him however did nothing for his confidence and only reinforced the fact that the bathroom-fix was a necessity.

Chaucer quickly turned his head just in time to see the girl go. He didn't remember her name, but something about a nymph stuck in his head. Or was it a dryad? He waved nonetheless, resolved to ask her as soon as they met under more pleasing circumstances.
Daphne... was leaving. Raiden kinda half stood, as if he were going to follow her, but... well she was kinda gone before he could even get his leg over the bench.
"Bye Daph," he called quietly after her. Hopefully she wasn't upset with him for... bringing all these guys over? Daphne wasn't always the most social of people.

Sabel glanced between them all, his gaze lingering suspiciously on Kellen for a moment before turning to Chaucer. My he did look right down...like a tired teenager. Of course when Chaucer saw himself, he would put things much more dramatically than that. If anything, Kellen's words would snap him out of the daze of lingering slumber.
So, not wanting to interrupt, Sabel waited in silence.

Sabel, ah that was good. He must have explained everything to Kellen already, something which Chaucer was quite certain he did well. The boy had marvellous diction. The pitying look the boy gave him however did nothing for his confidence and only reinforced the fact that the bathroom-fix was a necessity.
Chaucer quickly turned his head just in time to see the girl go. He didn't remember her name, but something about a nymph stuck in his head. Or was it a dryad? He waved nonetheless, resolved to ask her as soon as they met under more pleasing circumstances.

Kellen watched her go, suddenly feeling guilty. Had he made her leave? He looked back to Raiden, apology written all over his face, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to... that is..." He sighed, "I'm sorry."
But now Chaucer was asking him to fix his hair (and when had he ever done someone else's hair?), and once again the bathroom was mentioned. He'd apologize to Daphne later, mental note made. He tipped his head to the doors of the Great Hall, "Let's get you fixed up, cousin."
He fixed a 'trust me it's good' expression on his face and turned to Sabel and Raiden, "Poor Chaucer is such a mess, I don't think I can fix him by myself. Maybe you two could come with me and we can help him together. And on the way we can take a look at the neat place."
Too strong a hint? Too subtle? Didn't matter. He helped Chaucer to his feet and guided him for the exit, "Shall we?"

Blinking at Daphne's sudden depature, Sabel cast a quick wave after her before glancing at Raiden. He seemed a litte distraught at her sudden vacancy. Of course not as distraught as Chaucer over the sleep-riden state of his appearance.
"She seems like a nice girl." He offered with a small smile to Raiden as he stood with the others to follow them to the bathroom and who-knows where.
"She's possibly my best friend," Raiden said with a nod. Apparently... he got to go with too? Because Kellen had said the two of them... and Sabel was most definitely only a one... "I've known her since just before I started at Hogwarts. She's very... she's a dependable person."
When she wasn't leaping from windows.
Raiden stood, finally, and followed after them, only thinking when he reached the door to turn around and shoot a vanishing spell at the apple cores he'd left behind.

" Ella how going to, manage to call both of us as Lucy, you'll have to find a different name to anyone of us "
