Welcome to the Gryffindor Common Room! Boys' dormitories are upstairs and to your left; girls', the same on your right. You'll find all of your belongings have already been brought up.

Here is the perfect place to relax after a hard day of school. Study, trade chocolate frog cards, play exploding snap or just have fun with your friends. For your own sake, don't let it get too messy or Professor Lawson will have you scrubbing it spotless with your toothbrush.

A girls name? Sabel wanted to do a faceplant into the nearest pillow. S-a-b-e-l-l, with double l's may have been a girls name, but Sabel with one? He shook his head and gave the boy a small smile instead. At the moment he was more concerned about Alexa than how his name was taken. "You as well, Rex."

Alexa quirked an eyebrow at the obviously crazy girl... She seemed like fun. Bless her heart they were getting her all worked up though. THat wasn't very nice... But Alexa hadn't the energy to do anything about it.

Looking back at Alexa, Sabel watched her sympathetically. He honestly couldn't pretend to fathom how turned around and wound upon one another her thoughts must be at the moment, and he was glad that Merlin, if anyone seemed to be making her feel at least a little better.

Scrubbing the back of his neck he gave a one-shouldered shrug. "Like I said, we only just recently met. I don't recall you being violent, but I haven't seen you around much. And I mean, the Shakespearn speech was weird, but it was harmless, save for calling a few people peasants. Most people took it well...I think. Again, I wasn't there for a lot of it."

His eyes returned to her in consideration. "When I suggested meeting the Headmaster, Alexa, I was not meaning in the sense of lookng like you are troublesome. You were under the work of a potion, you had no idea. To tell you the truth, it might be a good idea if someone knows. You weren't the only one who had something happen. Another student got sick from the food." He gave another shrug. "No idea if it was someone's doing or just a combination of things the boy ate but...the Profs seemed a little suspicious."

A small chuckle escaped him as he shook his head in memory of his most recent encounter. "And don't worry. You won't be a troublemaker in his eyes." Was it a good idea to tell her? It might make her feel less terrible. A small smile crept across his lips. "Been there. Done that."

She furrowed her brow and dropped her hands to better look Sabel in the face. "Seriously, Healer Ashford knows what happened and if need be she will surely report it to the HM. I have no desire to go seek him out. It is a thousand wonders I never had to meet Headmaster Bontecou really. A stroke of luck like none other. The unyeilding attention the kitten was recieving only served to increase the volume of its content expression and Sabel wondered if it had a mute button. Soon it would be hard to hear the girl speak. Licking her fingers and face, Merlin did seem like the happiest kitten on the planet at that moment.

Then her words registered. Starting a fire and running away. He blinked at her. "When you start a fire?!" Was she planning to do this? Premeditated arson? He wondered if she was actually feeling alright or the potion had just taken another strange turn. Truthfully, if he had a choice he preferred the Elizabethean over the arson.

Letting out a heavy breath he shook her head; she seemed rational enough to be well. "Alright, well as long as you take care of yourself. And if you ever need a talk, a helping hand or someone to carry you to the infirmary..." Then what? He would be there for her? He would be around? He frowned in contemplation and finally shook off his thoughts. "Know you can ask." That was the same thing right? He hoped so.

Although, by the last incident, although he would help, he wasn't too hyped about having to carry another student to a staff member. Scratching the back of his head he nodded. Here it comes; he hoped no one else was listening. "I had a little bit of a...err...run in with the Headmaster during the feast after one of our house members collapsed. Let's just say...have you visted the hourglasses?" He hoped that meant what he wanted it to.

She hadn't exactly taken a tour of the whole castle yet, but she would. Gold tucked a bang of bright red hair behind her ear - signature action alert - as she stepped into the common room, and dropped into a sofa.

She dropped her handbag on the sofa beside her and ... and these new high heels weren't too comfortable. Which was a surprise, because she hardly ever came across heels she wasn't comfortable in.

Meh.

Daniel was feeling all gloomy today.

He missed her Raven, but he was all too tired to look for her around the castle. He then decided to go to the Common room and mope around and look for somebody to talk to.

People are everywhere. He then spot a familiar figure at the sofa. But she was alone.

"Hello, there. I am Daniel. What is your name?" he asked to the girl.

Standing in the middle of the common room, Josh looked around gazing at his housemates around him with a little grin on his face. I want to know who that guy is and congratulate him for having such a great sense of humour!'' he laughed and stared at everyone ''Okay? Now, can this person rise and shine...please?''

She hadn't caught what was going on between the two until now.

after another exiting day evanna came back to the common room tired.
she saw her older brothers playing with their brooms today. they are both in hufflepuff which makes it kinda weird between them with her being in gryffindor.
she got another owl today but it was from george weasley and not from her parents like she exepted. george sent her a few tricks she should try out on her brothers. she liked george very much and he is like a uncle to her. he herd that she got into gryffindor and decided to make sure she is welcome as possible (her brothers were known for their annoyance on the gryffindors - many think becuase they themselves wanted to be sorted to gryffindor and are jelous of those who did)

She couldn't help but smile at Sabel when he offered to help her if she needed it. "Thanks Sabel, that means a lot." she said.

She narrowed her eyes at the boy for a moment, then said, "YOu lost us house points then, eh? Ah someone was bound to do it."

She really was impressed with Rex's dancing skills as they moved around in whatever direction he went in.

For a moment Sabel just blinked at Rex, surprised at his perception, before a grin broke out on his face and he chuckled. "I can honestly say I have never heard of a girl with Rex as a name." Shaking his head he gave the boy a quick smile. "And just Sabel is fine."

Alexa smiled and nodded. "Yes, that would be nice indeed."

Smiling, Sabel turned back to Alexa, relieved it hadn't been an intentional plan. Although, he had to admit, it would have been interesting to hear her plot if it had been. He was about to tell her she could ask for help anytime, or within reasonable limits of 'anytime' when her gaze turned to a scrutinizing one and the vocalization of his earlier mistake came forth.

Grimacing visibly he averted his eyes to the carpet, scratching the back of his neck. He wasn't ashamed of his words that had cost them the points, merely that he had been the first to cause such a loss. Oh how he wished he could be a cat at that moment; then he would have a cute expression to make up for it. He vaugely wondered if he could convince Merlin to switch.

Shrugging one shoulder he picked at the carpet with conviction. "I'll work to get them back."
