Welcome to the Gryffindor Common Room! Boys' dormitories are upstairs and to your left; girls', the same on your right. You'll find all of your belongings have already been brought up.

Here is the perfect place to relax after a hard day of school. Study, trade chocolate frog cards, play exploding snap or just have fun with your friends. For your own sake, don't let it get too messy or Professor Lawson will have you scrubbing it spotless with your toothbrush.

Jack finally made his way to the Gryffindor common room, sighing as he plopped down in his usual comfy armchair. Jack had eaten SO MUCH food at that feast...he felt like he was going to EXPLODE. Ahh well, he was only 17...he was allowed to be a ravenous Head Boy.

Finally, after resting his eyes for a few minutes, he reached into his pocket and pulled out his frog, Jupiter, setting him on the arm of the chair. "Here you go...some fresh air before I put you in your tank later tonight," he said to the little creature.

Enid made a face at this and watched with mild interest as he began talking to the creature. And here people were wondering if she was alright! "Royal Head Boy!" the girl called out to him, giving a curtsy as she greeted this familiar face. "Dost thou knowst if his royal highness the King of Hog-warts should be available now?" she asked.

Brant was so excited to be back in the commonroom it felt like home, He sat down on a chair and put his feet up rubbing his belly for it was still full of food, even though he ralphed infront of the staff table.

Slipping into the common room, Sabel couldn't help but take a deep breath. The smell of the room was inviting with the faint haze of smoke from the fire, the stiff hint of parchment, the sharp sting of ink, mixed in with polished leather and dusty furniture. He figured homes should certaintly have such a defined scent to them more often.

Glancing over he saw Carter, the boy who had helped him carry Brant to the staff table during the rather interesting feast, lounging in one of the armchairs. A smile touched the corner of his lips at how he looked like a cat burrowed into its favorite blanket. With a smile he also caught sight of Brant in one of the other chairs; he was paying attention to his stomach, so Sabel hoped he wasn't about to pass out again, but a quick check of the coloration of his hands showed no green. He looked to be feeling a lot better.

It was called school after all and he was unable to forget his days, the boring days, at the Muggle school. The Gryffindor boy laughed some after the girl's question. ''I'd take none of them if that was possible. Ha haa. Kidding of course. I hope i won't miss DADA, Divination and Herbology. And you? DADA for sure''

Josh couldn't help but laugh when he heard the girl who had just walked into the common room. And he looked back at her eyeing the co-called lady. Yeah, she must have been one of the Shakespearean ladies down at the Great Hall ''Peasants?'' he repeated laughing more then he jumped right before her kneeling in an exeggeratly bowing position ''Oh, my lady! Let me introduce myself for thy precious awareness! For i am Sir Joshua Carter, from the brave knights under thy command''

Sabel was about to say hi to Carter and Brant, when his attention was caught by a rather dramatic session instigated by one of the girls he had seen down at the feast. He blinked at her choice of words, unable to tell if she was being serious about expecting them to wait on her in the act of having made up her bed. He personally hoped their beds had been made before they came, but if not, it didn't really matter, they were just going to mess them up when they turned in anyways. He blinked again at the disgust plain on her face as she batted at some unseen foe on her clothes; she was serious. Either that or she had cloned Chaucer's love of drama.

Startled at the sudden motion from one of the other students, Sabel took a step back to avoid getting knocked over. His eyebrows rose high as the boy knelt in front of the girl and proclaimed his knighthood to her. A smile passed over his lips; witty. Very witty.

Watching the black kitten and his rascal of a cat, Merlin, bound down the stairs and thread through a few peoples legs, Sabel listened to the exchange between the Lady and the Knight with a smile. Squatting he moved to pick up Merlin when he heard the comment about 'finding the king'. A grin split his face. He couldn't resist.

Turning he grinned at the Lady, bowing exaggerated at the waist in repeated motions as if humbling himself before her as he held the cat in both his hands. Least to say, besides being bothered by his rather disgraceful attempt at old English, Merlin was not pleased with him, hanging from his hands with an expression that clearly said 'don't touch me.'

He turned his tone to one of quick excitment. "My Lady! Thank goodness I have found thee! Or...I have found that which thee has been searching for with utter devotion." He straightened, holding an unimpressed Merlin out towards her. "The King my Lady!"

Leslie walked into the common room and looked around it was just as she remembered. She looked at all the new face but couldn't tell if any of them were second years, "Hello," she said a little loud, "anyone here a second year?"

Ella arrived in the common room, tired after the feast. She saw some familiar faces, but was too exhausted after the meal. Slumping into an armchair, she rubbed at her ey First day back at Hogwarts and she was already pooped.

She assumed him to a be a peasant at first - it was hard to tell the royals and the peasants apart when they were all dressed the same! But as he then spoke, in a dialect she immediately recognized as the same as her own, she beamed. As he then started, mentioning he had found what she had been looking for, Enid's eyes widened. She was just about to question him on this, when he held the cat out to her, introducing it as the king. Enid's green eyes widened further. "Ki--King? The... O, HEAVENS! Thy highness, King of the land of Hog-Warts!" Enid gasped, giving a curtsy to the cat. "Thou must forgive Lady Enid's attire, I-- I knowst not what hast happened to me, thy highness, I promise thee I was not in peasant's clothing when I awoke this morning-- but-- but-- O, please forgive my nosy tongue, but... what hast happened to thee, thy graciousness?! Why art thou -- a cat!? What hast happened to our castle, I see nothing but peasants all around! Please offer this humble lady some guidance, sir!"

Jack bit his lip as one of the older students approached Enid and convinced her that a CAT was the King of Hogwarts. He wanted soooo badly to laugh but that would NOT be nice. This was serious! The girl was clearly not in her correct mental state! Even if she HAD really thought she was in the middle ages, no one would have righfully believed that a CAT was a king.

"OK, that's enough now," Jack said, standing up and accidentally snorting as he tried to hold back his laughter. Smirking slightly, he cleared his throat and shook his head. "Erm, Lady Enid, do you think you could possibly come with me somewhere? I know a great umm...seamstress, and she'll get you some new clothes so you don't have to embarrass yourself around his highness anymore," he explained.

He then turned to the guy holding the cat and lowered his voice. "Have you seen another Gryffindor wandering around like this? Her name is Alexa and she is acting the same way...looking for a king and all that...and I think something is seriously wrong with them. Like they've been charmed or something. Have you seen her?" he asked before glancing at Enid again.

"Please do excuse me, highness, but I must find Lady Alexa! She hast gone missing!" Enid explained to the cat before running out the portrait hole, so quickly one would think a giant spider was after her or something.

It took a moment for Sabel to register his senses as he blinked at Enid. That was definetly not the reaction he had been expecting from her. If anything, he had been prepared for the complete opposite. He vaguelywondered if they were seeing the same creature. He glanced at Merlin...yes, he was still the black kitten he had always been, except now his ears were perked forward in interest, yellow eyes fixated on Enid's hair, tail flicking back and forth in a display of playfulness.

'Oh Merlin, you didn't hear a word she said did you?' Sabel sighed internally to himself, debating on how he was to go about addressing the matter. Needless to say he made a show of bowing a little while he continued to hold the slinky creature out to Enid as if humbled by her acknowledgement of the cat being 'king'...King Merlin.

Sabel blinked at Enid's sudden retreat from the common room and then at the Head Boy, frowning a little in concern as he pulled Merlin into a more comfortable hold. "I saw her at the feast...." He tilted his head. "Charmed? That doesn't usually speak well..."

"No, I didn't mean that...she's probably on her way!" Jack exclaimed, but it was too late. CRAP. He'd lost her! He needed to take her to the hospital wing! But she was already out the portrait hole and probably already at the stairs by now...there was no catching her. BOOOOO.

Grumbling, Jack plopped down in his chair again and picked up Jupiter, placing him in his hand. "She's a loony, that one, isn't she?" he mumbled to the frog.

"Just let your little tour guide lead the way." She said grinning as she led the way out of the great hall, and then up the stairs.. All seven flights of them.

"Watch out, sometimes the staircases like to move, and then you will be going a whole different way." She said smiling back at Chris as she led him to the seventh floor, and then to the Portrait hole. She said the password, and led him into the Common room. "Well here it is, home sweet home." She said grinning as she seated herself on the couch. "So, any questions about the walk up here?" She asked as she looked at the window, part of her was hoping for a Thunderstorm..

Letting out a small sigh that the drama had ended so quickly, Sabel shook his head and made his way to sit on the floor near Carter's chair. Shifting Merlin in his arms he placed the cat in his lap, watching as it curled up into a small ball and wrapped its tail over its nose. He shook his head a little, stroking back the black fur as he mused quietly to the creature. "Yeah. It's tough being King. I know."

Glancing up he gave Carter a small smile. "Hey. Long time no see."

As Natalie walked into the Gryffindor Common Room, her jaw dropped. This. Was. Incredible. Her sisters had told her about it, but it was just one of those things she had to see to believe. From the moment she walked in, she was in love.
Natalie looked around, trying to find someone she knew, maybe someone she'd met in Diagon Alley over the summer.

Brant Noticed the boy who Carried him to the staff table. and just smiled in his general Direction. Time to recruit some new people to try out for the Quidditch Team.

Scratching Merlin's belly as he lounged in his lap, Sabel took the chance to look around at the students filling the common room. Things had quieted down since Enid had left, and he had to admit, it was nice to sit in a quiet spot, if only for a few minutes.

He caught sight of Brant looking in the general direction of Carter and himself, though he had no idea who he was looking at. Smiling, he gave the Quiddich Captain a wave with his free hand, letting Merlin attack the other for his faliure to 'scratch the right spot'.

"Hey Captain. How are you feeling?"

I don't know when Im going to hold them but theres a sign up sheet already in the Locker room. Hope to see your name on that list. The more the merrier." he said. "I sometimes think that it would be cool if other houses can get in your commonroom but theres good things and bad things about that dude." he said only thinking about the Hufflepuff Quidditch Captain Miranda or he called her "Bel". He was wondering what she was doing this very second.

He laughed a little. "No problem at all. Its a relief to hear your okay. Green fingers are rather concering."

Scratching Merlin behind the ears he smiled at the topic of mingling houses; he could definetly think of a few people that would have a lot of fun with the privelge. However, not the kind of people Brant was thinking of. His smile turned into somewhat of a playful smirk as he tilted his head. To say the very least, the Captain looked...wistful. And there was only one rule in the code of men, or boys, when it came to wistful looks... "Who is she?"

Enid walked into the common room with head held up high, with the pride that only a most noble royal would hold. "G'day, peasants, I present to thee... Lady Alexa!" she said, pulling the girl she had brought along ahead into the room. She then turned to the little blonde-headed girl. "His majesty is somewhere in here; it is a bit difficult to see him when he is in cat form," she explained to her before allowing her green eyes to scan the area for any sign of the black kitten that had been presented to her as the king. "I had no idea his grace was an Animagus, his skill is most impressive, you should see!"

Carter smiled back. He was about to ask him if he was going alright when Sabel did. Then the captain mentioned try-outs. "Already signed up." he said proudly. First on the list actually.

"Aye, peasants, it is I, Lady Alexa Kennedy. Where has our King gotten too?" she asked before taking the top off of her little jug of pumpkin juice and taking a sip.

What should have been an 'uh oh' in Sabel's mind that two self-proclaimed ladies were looking for his cat, came out as a yelp of surprise as said-sid cat bit down on his hand a little too hard. Wincing he looked down at the cat who looked rather proud of himself with his eyes closed and lying half on his back in Sabel's lap, tail flicking to either side slowly.

Letting out a heavy sigh he deiceded it was safer to rest his hand on his leg, to avoid getting mauled. As far as he was concerned, play time was over. His eyes drifted to the two girls. As far as they were concerned...well he really didn't know. The only thing he could think of was perhaps the Head Boy would be satisfied they had both appeared, despite if it was looking for a King in the form of his cat. That and perhaps their condition was do to the pumpkin juice the girl, Alexa, took a swig of.
