Cadence sped out of the bathroom, where she had fallen asleep after crying, with utter terror in her eyes. Two older boys were standing in the hallway and she raced over to them gasping for air and shaking all over. "Giant. Spider. In. Bathroom." she said, pointing toward the bathroom she had just vacated.

Aww, darn it. He sighed and tried not to frown as yet another person told him that they hadn't seen his spider. But he wasn't going to give up looking for it and hopefully no one killed it.

"Last time I saw him was before I fell out of the tree in the Pathway."

Then he heard Cadence. He remembered her from the train. "Giant spider in the bathroom? Where?" That was probably his tarantula.

Pierre felt kind of bad because he didn't know where this boy's spider was. Then he heard a girl run screaming out of the bathroom. "I think she might know where your spider is, he said motioning to the girl." He chuckled slightly at how freaked out the girl seemed. He never understood how people could be afraid of spiders. He watched as this boy went and talked to the girl. Pierre was glad that the guy possibly found his spider.

"Under sink." she spat out. Oh she didn't feel good at all. That thing had crawled on her while she was asleep! She could still feel it crawling all over her skin. Cadence felt like she was going to be sick and couldn't stand still. She kept fidgeting at the thought of that thing being on her. "G-go take care of it? Pleeeaaase." she said in a whiny voice, hiding behind Torin a little. He was a Prefect! He should deal with these things!

Aww, she was scared. Poor girl. "You okay, Cadence?" he asked kindly as the girl hid behind him. He still didn't get why girls were so scared of spiders. Not like they would do anything.

He smiled and raised his brow at the boy and then walked over to the washroom to get the spider back.

"Am I okay?" Cadence repeated, the volume and pitch of her voice rising a little. "I fell asleep, and that thing crawled on me! I woke up with it on my neck!" Her eyes were now wide with disbelief that Torin could NOT understand why waking up with a giant spider on her would be scary. What if it had bit her? What then? She could have died in that bathroom and no one would know the difference. And then Torin went to GET the spider. No! He was supposed to KILL the spider.

But then Cadence realized she had just told a Prefect she had fallen asleep on the floor of the bathroom, and she probably looked like a frightful mess right now. This was going to be an awkward conversation...

Pierre chuckled slightly as he saw how terrified the girl was. He really didn't understand why spiders were scary to girls. It just didn't make sense. He raised an eyebrow back at the guy. He watched as he walked into the bathroom, wondering why he was even doing that.

Pierre then turned to the girl who had happened to come upon the spider. "You're fine. From the sound of it, it's just a harmless tarantula. It wouldn't hurt you at all."

"A harmless tarantula?!" Cadence said in almost a shriek now. "Can't tarantulas KILL people?! Boys were soooo.... weird! Why did they like icky things like spiders?!

Pierre tried his hardest not to laugh at the way this girl was acting. "I don't know." In reality he knew that if you startled them they could, but he wasn't going to give that up. "Just calm down. He'll be back soon and he'll have his spider under control."

Cadence gave the boy a skeptical look. He didn't seem very nice or understanding. She tucked her hair behind her ear and then folded her arms across her chest, still staring him down. "You think I'm silly, don't you?"

Pierre smirked slightly and tried to control his eyerolls. "Just a bit. Sorry, I just don't think spiders are that dangerous or disgusting." He really didn't know what to say. He just hoped that guy came out of the bathroom shortly.

Torin returned into the corridor a moment later carrying the tarantula in his hand. "Okay, thanks for telling me that you found him." Because he didn't want to have the thing loose in the school where someone could kill it. Poor spider. No girls seemed to understand him.

Then he remembered what Cadence told him before. "Why were you sleeping in a washroom?" Because that was odd.

"You don't even know me. Maybe, when I was little, I was bit by a spider and almost died. That would give me good reason to be afraid of them wouldn't it?" She tossed her hair and turned back to look at the bathroom Torin had disappeared into, arms still crossed with one leg popped.

Pierre rolled his eyes at what the girl said. He really didn't care. He still didn't think that anyone should be afraid of spiders. They were actually really interesting creatures.

Then, the boy who had lost the spider came out. Pierre stood there as he questioned the girl why she was sleeping in the washroom.

"Uhh..." Cadence's face suddenly became very red and she unfolded her arms in order to begin nervously playing with the ends of her hair. The words came very quickly "It was dumb, really. I was walking along the Pathway with my boyfriend and this girl threw a pie at him and so we came inside so he could get washed up. Then, he and I got in a really big fight in the hallway about how I always let mean people get to me when I should just let it go and then he walked away and I shut myself in the washroom and cried and accidentally fell asleep." She finally took a breath and stared at the floor. Yuck... word vomit tasted just about as bad as the real thing. Torin was probably going to go tell the Headmaster that she was this crazy girl who slept in the bathrooms...

.... "Uh huh." Torin cast another look at the boy as if to say that girls are odd before turning his gaze back to Cadence. "Well, I'm sorry he crawled on you. He also did that to my best friend and my girlfriend." But he failed to mention that the thing landed on Reese's face and caused her to break her arm. He didn't want to make things worse.

"Oh, I'll be okay." Cadence replied as she made a gesture as if to say, "No big deal." "It just scared me... and creeped me out a little. And now I feel like there are things crawling all over me..." she trailed off for a moment and squirmed at the sensation of feeling like things were crawling on her. "I am... just gonna go back to the Common Room and um take a really, really long shower... yeah..." And with that she faked a smile and hurried out of the hallway. I want my Nateypoo... a whiney voice said in her head.

Pierre kind of spaced out when the girl explained why she was sleeping in the bathroom. He heard something about 'boyfriend' and it was instinctive. Pierre noticed the boy giving him a look saying that this girl was really weird. He returned thinking the exact same thing, even though most of the people he talked to at Hogwarts were girls.

Pierre watched as the girl finally walked out of the hallway. "Girls are so strange," he said in his heavy French accent. He had only meant to mumble it to himself, but he had said it loud enough so that the other boy could hear it as well.

He blinked as she walked away not really getting what the big deal was when she could have easily killed the tarantula. And it wasn't like it was diseased. It was just an animal.

He laughed when he heard the boy comment. "Yes, they are. And yet I couldn't live without them." Because like 95% of his friends were girls. He loved girls.

Pierre chuckled along with the boy. "Same here. Most of the people I've met are girls." He figured his accent gave away the fact that he was still fairly new to Hogwarts. He turned to the boy. "Pierre Devereux." He offered his hand so that whoever this boy was could shake it.

"Me too. I mean most of my friends are girls." Which was why some of them were calling him feminine now. Including his girlfriend. Pfft. He picked up on the accent. "I take it you are new here?" Unless he was off. He was usually good at spotting new people.

He took the boy's hand. "Torin Kane."

Pierre nodded his head in understanding. "Yes, I just moved here from France this summer." He really hoped he wouldn't have to talk about why he moved and such, but he knew it came up eventually.

He looked at Torin after they had finished shaking hands. He realized that the only guy he had met was Art, he hadn't seen him since Diagon Alley shopping, and Benjamin, who had dissappeared after Muggle Studies. "Wow. You're only like the third guy that I've met since I moved here. For some reason whenever I'm alone, girls always seem to come over and talk to me."

Aah, he had thought that the boy might have been from France by his accent. "So how'd you like it here then?" Because a lot of people liked it here, but the weather could be a bit drab.

"Me and you are the same. Almost all my friends are girls. And sometimes I think it rubs off on me a bit." Because you could only spend so much time with people shoe obsessed without it rubbing off on you a tiny bit.

Pierre thought about it for a moment. "It's all right. I love the castle and the grounds and everything about it. I think I just miss my village a lot, that's all." He really was enjoying his walks through the castle and the grounds. The architecture in the castle was simply amazing.

Pierre chuckled. "Yeah. I haven't had that happen yet, but most of them are like random first or second years that just want someone to talk to. They're all pretty weird and out there." He chuckled, remembering the night he had met Rosalie in the common room. She was so strange.

Thalia walked down the corridor of the fourth floor. She had had enough. Being without him made her hurt. She hadn't been in the mood to talk with anyone except her cousins and friend's like Bella. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

This had made her realize a lot of things. One she had written out. One she had turned into a song. With every free minute her time had been almost consumed with getting her feelings to him in the best way possible. So that's why she stood here with her guitar strap across her shoulders. The tune was fairly simple. No sheet music was necessary.
