Kat skipped along the corridor singing "I'm walking on sunshine woah!!!!!". Boy was she bubbly today. Well then again she's bubbly everyday. "Lalalala I don't know the rest of the words" She sang. She coninued skipping looking for someone to talk to.

Nate heard someone singing. The voice was somewhat recognizable. He looked over his shoulder to see who it was. Kat. he hissed under his breath. He was suddenly angery.

"You! Your the little scum that has been attaking Cadence. Your the one who threw that dungbomb, wasn't it. Your 'The Hair' as Cadence puts it. You are the one ruining my girlfriend's life. You and your little best friend, Lucy!" he said walking towards her yelling loud enough to hear at the Lake.

Kat stopped skipping and turned toward the person that was yelling. Nate of course. "Are you talking to me?" She innocently. Attacking? What was this boy talking about. The hair? Kat atomatically reached up and touched her new flat hair. "What are you talking about?" She asked boredly.

"Yes you! Cadence said you had been attacking her. I was there when she was hit with a dungbomb." he said calming down a little. "Your hair used to be curly! I saw you at the Whomping Willow so don't even try to play that card."

"Did she now? Were you?" She decided to play dumb. Yay this was fun. "Well if she was hit by a dungbomb why so certain it was me? And that's not exactly what I would call attacking a person" Kat smirked. "The Whomping Willow? I was never there!"

"You know what? I know your playing dumb. I'm gonna walk away but if you do anything else to Cadence, there will be a price to pay." he said turning to go back to the Common Room.

Price to pay? Oh its on! "Just for that i'm going to do something else!" She yelled after him "And i'm going to get Tyler on you if you come after me!"

Jack frowned. "Dorky as ever? She's never called me a dork! EVER!" he exclaimed. Why would she suddenly do that? Sure, he knew he playfully referred to himself as a nerd often, but the fact that other people agreed with him always hit him a little hard. Especially when that person was REESE. He wrinkled his eyebrows angrily.

"Why would she say that to YOU and not to me?" he asked him in annoyance. "First she calls me a dork behind my back...what's next? She tells you how she thinks I'm a lousy kisser? How she thinks I really suck at Quidditch? WHERE DOES THE MADNESS END?"

Okay.

Torin had to admit that Jack was taking this a little harder than he ought to. Not that he would have liked Brody calling him a dork. Not that she was his girlfriend. Yet.

"I don't know. But I'm sure she didn't mean it too badly. She does like you a lot." He was starting to feel bad now; he hadn't wanted to get Reese in trouble with Jack.

"If it makes you feel better, she thinks that you are a better kisser than I am?"

"It's not that...it's what the comment REPRESENTS!" Jack exclaimed. "If she starts off calling me a dork, what else is she going to tell you that she can't tell me to my face? We're...well, you know!" he said. He didn't really think there was a word for sort-of engaged but he was sure Torin knew about the promise ring, right? "If she can't tell me anything she wants, what does this mean for the future?!"

He blinked and looked at Torin. Was this REALLY the time to bring up that fact again?! Jack could feel his blood boiling and he simply shook his head. "I need to...I dunno..." he grumbled. He wasn't sure what he was going to do, who he was going to talk to...GAHH. He just needed to leave.

He turned on his heel and marched right up the corridor and out of sight.

Cadence stood outside the Fourth Floor bathroom waiting on Nate to come back out. It would probably take a long time to wipe all that pie filling off. She laughed a little to herself, remembering how angry they had all been that Nate hadn't gotten mad. Tyler was being such a jerk. Cadence was infinitely glad that Nate had come into her life to break the whole Tyler-hypnosis thing. Nate was definitely a much better boyfriend to her.

AND Nate loves me. Cadence thought to herself as she waited.

Nate came out free of pie. It had taken about 10 minutes or so. "All better!" he said cradling her face and planting a kiss on her quickly.

Cadence smiled at him when he came out. She returned the kiss and then giggled a little, "Yep! Much better!" she replied as she reached up with her right hand and messed up his hair a little. "They're lucky none of that pie got on my dress. It would have been a really bad situation if it had." She took his hand and began walking along the corridor. "I don't understand why they don't like us so much. And Tyler is so confusing! One minute he's talking to me like we're still good friends, and the next he's laughing hysterically because a pie was thrown at us. You know, I think I'm just... over it. And them. And him. I just want things to be normal."

"Well then start over. Just start from now forward to only make friends not enimies and ignore all the people who dislike you. Make them want to be friends with you." he said holding both her hands and looking into her eyes.

Cadence sighed. "It's not an easy thing to do when you're getting pie thrown in your face after the first time you're telling me you love me." And now the anger hit her full on and tears welled up in her eyes. "They ruined it. They ruined my perfect moment. I can never get that moment back, and they just destroyed it!" She felt her whole body tense with anger and her face screwed up as she tried not to let the tears leave her eyes. "Why would they do that?! What did I ever do to them?!" And the tears came out, as much as Cadence didn't want them to, they come pouring down her cheeks.

"Cadence. Get a hold of yourself. They were trying to get back at me. Our moment wasn't ruined. I think your over reacting. Cadence, I love you and they could never take that away from us. Ever. Just forget them. They mean nothing and are worth nothing." he said hushed yelling at her. He held on to her arms and away from him as she listened. "You can always cry on my shoulder but you can't always cry over something you can never fix."

Cadence automatically just... shut up, her eyes widening, her tears silently still streaming down her face. She had never seen Nate like this... telling her what to do. He'd always just... comforted her and coddled her. This was different, and frankly she was a little scared because she didn't know what was going to happen... was he breaking up with her? Oh, no, wait. "I love you and they could never take that way from us." That was what he had just said. So, he wasn't mad at her... just... what was it? Frustrated? She still just stared him silently with wide eyes. When he finished talking, she nodded but didn't say a word, waiting for him to let go of her arms.

Nate dropped his arms and turned away to let her think. He was too mad. She just frustrated him sometimes. He started walking down the hall.

Cadence stood there, rooted to the spot for a moment after Nate began walking away, and then it hit her that he was walking away from her, and her stomach knotted up. This was not a picture that Cadence liked. "Nate! Nate!" she yelled after him. "Nate! I love you, too. Nate! Please..." She didn't want to run after him. If he wanted her to come to him, he would stop when he heard her calling for him...

Nate kept walking. He didn't look over his shoulder but he did say, "Come find me when you have things figured out."

Cadence just stood there utterly confused. She had no idea what she had done wrong or why Nate was so mad at her. He didn't even want to be around her right now... he just... walked away. Cadence turned around and walked toward the bathroom Nate had just exited and slammed the door, locked it, and sank to the floor. Her tears had now become sobs.

Aschere shuffled her way slowly down the corridor, immersed in the book she had just checked out. Oh, this was just what she needed now if she was hoping to get that O.W.L.. her eyes glazed over as she dreamed of what she wanted to be. Her chin came up just in time for her to find herself walking into a corner..

Sighing at her own clumsiness, Aschere picked up her scattered parchment scrolls and quills. Book still in hand, she headed for the stairs.

Pierre was wandering the castle when he ended up on the fourth floor. He knew the library was on this floor, but he felt like exploring a little more. Hogwarts was simply an amazing castle. Everything from the size, to the people, to the architecture was simply amazing. He passed a portrait and paused to look at it for a moment.

Torin was starting to get worried now. He hadn't seen Baxters in a little while, not since he had fallen out of that tree in the pathway. And he really wanted his spider back. Where could he have gotten off to?

He sighed and looked everywhere along the corridor when he spotted a boy looking at a portrait. He walked over to him. "You haven't seen a tarantula anywhere have you?"

Pierre turned away from the portrait as he heard someone talking to him. He was face to face with a boy who seemed to be about his age. "Sorry, I haven't." He wondered how this boy could have lost his tarantula. "Where did you see it last?"
