Professor Duskurk stepped into his classroom and banished the desks and chairs. It was standing room only for this class... NOTE: For those just joining us, please go to the OOC thread in the classroom and find a dueling partner. Then, you may come back here and practice dueling. UPDATE: Lesson has ended. Homework is as follows and will be due one week from the date of this post. Quote:

Mina nodded as she listened to him. She would have to take the whole things as a learning experience. She was just a second year, so maybe just watching what was going on in the other duels might help her in the future.
"Got it, if hit with incarcerous, move wand arm up and not suirm too much." Squirming equalled getting all stripey and that wasn't good at all.
Turning her attention back to the duel, she leaned against the wall. She didn't think it would be so intense, but apparently she was wrong. Some of the other duels looked like they would end in blood or something. WHo would have guessed some of them were that fierce. | |

Finally feeling as if she was able to breathe again, she took a deep breathe just for good measures and smiled at Gold. Good, sooo...now what? Just wait until the Professor calls out the next instructions? Looked like it... Now where was Destiny again?

Nina looked up at her and could tell she felt bad. "No I'm okay. And don't feel bad, that's why we're having this class, right? To practice dueling. I just wasn't quick enough." She smiled. She was fine. Slightly shook up. She'd never been stunned before. But she was okay. "We could go for another round if you want." she wanted to get back in there. "Maybe we could just practice my shield charm for a little. It doesn't seem very strong." And as soon as she had suggested another round she started feeling a bit dizzy. Probably because of her head bang. But nothing to worry about. She should just start small for now. Hence her shield charm practice suggestion.

Mouth dropping open when she heard the words, Sarah gripped her wand tightly as she began to feel it tugging in Keeley's direction. "Wha--? Nooo....you....don't....." She uttered through gritted teeth, trying with all her might to keep hold of the thing in her hands.Eventually, after much struggling, the spell started to wear off and the tugging became less and less.Boy Keeley was actually quite strong at that one....
When she had control over herself and wand again, it was Sarah's turn to fire off a spell. "Rictusempra!!" she called out, watching with interest as the silver jet of light shot towards Keeley. Keeley pushed her lacey headband aside, and watched as Sarah struggled with her wand. Yes! Maybe she'd let go- but no. She managed to control it. Oh well. It was a strong start, though. As the older girl yelled a spell she didn't know, Keeley stared at the jet of light. What did it do? It was too fast to dodge, and it hit her straight on. Instead of a winding blow, she felt... tickling. Oh great. She struggled to gain control while laughing her head off, and was still giggling as she managed to gasp the incantation for a bat-bogey hex.
