Saul sat on his shop stool behind the counter, idly twirlin a dowel as he waited fer somethin to do. His flannel shirt sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, he'd bathed the previous evening and even shaved this morn, and he'd practiced smilin once or twice in the mirror fer the customers.

Children, was what they were, more n likely. This was one o' their weekends ter do their adventurin, was what he'd heard at the pub th' other day. So there he sat, lookin fer somethin ter do, a bit bored and o'course hungry as usual.

Emily walked into a shop. She had decided to explore all of them. She saw a man sitting on the counter. He was the only other one there. This must not be a very popular shop.

Not meaning to be rude Emily said, "Good morning sir!" she said brightly.

Hey look, a customer! Saul practiced his smile like he'd been doin and sat up a bit straighter on his stool.

"Howdy, young ladeh," he nodded to the girl. "Wot can I help ya with t'day?"

Tiberius walked into the shop hesitantly. He had a coupon for the fixed sneak-o-scope thingie, but he had to buy something else, too.

Walking up to the shopkeeper, he stammered a bit. "H-hello, sir. I.. have a coupon but I need to buy something to use it. B-but, I don't really need anything so, I was thinking maybe you could suggest something useful?"

Tibi shuffled on his feet and bit his lip. Was it weird to ask that?

Wellll lookit that. Another young'un, and a smart 'un too, if he said he had a voucher.

"Lemme see yer coupon, kid," Saul reached a rough hand out for the coupon. "An no need ter be nervous. Thar's lotsa useful stuff 'ere. Have a look-see."

Tiberius stretched to reach the man's hand and plopped the coupon in it.



"Do you have any.. uh.. suggestions? I'm not looking for anything in particular." Tibi looked around the store. He honestly didn't even know what half this stuff was.

Jenny walked in. A second year and..um..Mr. Bunyons? "'Ello..?" She asked quietly. A sneakoscope would be OK. "Errm, do you have a sneakoscope?"

Ziva wandered into Dervish and Banges in Hogesmeade wondering if she could get Ashers really nice Muggle watch fixed that she had broken a few years ago. She had forgotten about for so long.

Ziva looked around the store first, waiting for the others to get helped by the shop owner.

Enid walked into the shop with her messenger bag hanging loosely from one shoulder. She didn't need anything fixed, but she was really curious to see what the little shop had to offer. She couldn't deny it, she was a sucker for all these random little things that served no real purpose in life other than occupy storage space.

Hmm... She walked past some of the people already in the shop, touching and grabbing everything her curious green eyes found interesting. She especially liked a small kaleidoscope sitting on one of the tables. She looked through it curiously, only to have it slip from her hands a moment later.

Uh-oh.

A bit wide-eyed, she looked around the shop. "Oops. You didn't see that," she told Ziva, who happened to be the nearest person and therefore the biggest witness. "You suppose a simple reparo would fix it?" she asked, glancing around the shop cautiously for the shopkeeper. She really didn't want to have to end up paying for this thing.

"Umm, what kind of thing do you sell here?" All of a sudden Emily got a picture in her head of something she really wanted. She didn't know if it really existed, but if it did it would be considered a trinket.

"Hi, Emily!" Jenny said quietly. Good to know she was around often. "All I know is they've got sneakoscopes!"

"No." Ziva said as she turned towards Enid. "I'm not sure, you'd be better off just paying for it." Ziva murmmured. She was getting a little impatient now as she waited for the shopkeeper.

Enid sighed. The stranger was probably right, but how much did this silly little thing cost anyway? She checked it for a price anywhere, but there wasn't one. Well, whatever the price was, it had better not be anything too expensive, or else the girl would be forced to make a run for it and flee the scene.

And so, left with no other alternative, Enid proceeded to join the line behind Ziva, her curious hand examining the small broken kaleidoscope in her hands. She soon grew bored, though, ever the little chatterbox, and watched Ziva curiously for a moment before asking, "What're you getting, anyway?" She blinked curiously at the watch in the girl's hands.

"It's a watch of my brother's. It's broken, but I don't know whats wrong with or how to fix it." she told the girl. She paused as her foot began tapping the floor.

"I'm Ziva Holden by the way." she threw out. There was never not a moment not to make new friends.

"Ah," Enid muttered, nodding her head as the girl explained that the watch was her brother's and she didn't know what was wrong with it or how to fix it. She then returned her green-eyed gaze to the broken kaleidoscope in her hands and examined it for a moment before the girl in front of her in the line spoke again, introducing herself.

Enid looked up from the kaleidoscope with a small smile. "I'm Enid Banvard," she replied. "Gryffindor fifth year. You?" she asked, raising a light eyebrow slightly at the girl.

Ziva tapped her foot on the floor of the shop at a faster rate. She was thinking of a song that she had heard over the summer on the Muggle radio. She couldn't quite remember the lyrics or the song title of it.

"Fifth year badger." she smiled largely. She was very proud to be a badger.

Enid's eyebrows rose slightly as Ziva shared she was a fifth year badger. It took the young Gryffindor a moment to realize the badgers were the Hufflepuffs; she wasn't necessarily the brightest of minds. But she was brave at least, right?

"Hmm. That's funny, you don't look like a Huffie to me," she said, her eyes watching Ziva as if she were a very interesting piece at the museum.

Ziva moved the watch from one hand to the other, she was getting quite a bit bored now waiting. Ziva was a bit taken aback, "What's that supposed to mean?" she asked narrowing her eyes at the Gryffindor. Sure she was tall and dressed in expensive Muggle fashion, but what was that supposed to mean?

Ziva waited for her answer, wondering if others thought the same thing about her.

"Mmmmmm..." Enid tilted her head slightly to the side, examining Ziva with a slightly thoughtful expression on her young face. "It means you look like you should be in a different House," she said.

She paused for another moment, thinking on what House Ziva seemed to fit in that wasn't Hufflepuff. "Like a Slytherin," she decided after a couple moments of thinking. She then nodded her head, sure of her answer. "Yep, you look like a Slytherin. But that's not too bad, I've got a couple Slytherin friends myself, they're not too bad," she said.

Slytherin. Slytherin? She looked like a Slytherin! "Really?" Ziva muttered very softly to her brothers watch. A Slytherin? "I've got quite a few of them. I think I have more Slytherin friends than from my own house." Ziva commented.

Enid felt a little paranoid that Ziva might hex her at that moment, but then the girl spoke, sharing that she had more Slytherin friends than from her own House. At this, Enid nodded her head understandingly.

"There you go. All the Slythie influence is turning you into a snake," she said with a nod. Then her brows furrowed slightly. "Well, not literally a snake, but you know what I mean," she explained, just in case Ziva literally thought the girl was referring to a snake.

Ziva rolled her eyes, maybe that's what happened when you dated a Slytherin. You turn into a snake. She laughed at this, knowing th girl wouldn't know what was going on in her head at the moment.

"I'm pretty sure that I'm still the same badger that I was when I started Hogwarts." Ziva assured turning back towards the counter waiting for her turn.

Enid shrugged her shoulders. "If you say so," she muttered before returning her attention to the long line before her and the shopkeeper somewhere up ahead dealing with what looked like a second year. Sigh. She didn't have time for this, Hogsmeade trips didn't happen everyday and she wasn't about to waste the entire trip standing in this never-moving line waiting to pay for something she didn't even want in the first place!

And so, Enid waited for about five more minutes before completely losing her patience. She looked to her right, and she looked to her left - the coast was clear. And so, very carefully, she tip-toed back to the table she had taken the kaleidoscope from and placed it back in its original place. She pulled out a couple galleons from her bag, assuming the kaleidoscope couldn't have cost too much, and placed them beneath the broken object.

"If anyone asks, you never saw me here, alright?" she told Ziva in a whisper before beginning to slowly and carefully sneak out of the shop.

Ziva shrugged it off, the shopkeeper had probably known who it was that broke the kaleidoscope. She sighed, wondering if she was ever going to get to the front of the line and get her brother's watch fixed.
