Oliver turned to the sound of Wesley's tiny leetle voice and looked down at her with a broad smile on his face. “Have you ever been horse riding before, Wes?” He asked her. Cos it had to be like that, right.. even if the things were invisible. As long as you knew the basics, which Oliver did, you'd be ok. He took a pace back and collided with the Thestral he had been feeding. Ooops. He turned and.. er.. looked at the space where it should be. “Sorry.” He muttered and reached out a hand to pat it. It nuzzled it's snout against it's hand and Oliver laughed gently. This was well weird.. but also kind of cool. The smile faded and he looked back at Wesley. “C-can you see them?” Had she been one of those to witness death? Given what he had heard about the hufflepuff deaths last year it wouldn't be surprising if she had. *shudder*. Was Hogwarts always so... eventful? He looked at Prefect Sarah wondering if she could see them - Wesley may be better off sticking with someone who could actually see what they were doing here. |

She glided her hand over the creature until she found his mane and gently took hold. Then she carefully steped into Lady Lawson's hand, "I'm ready." |

Dylan spotted Lawsonette helping someone on the invisible horse. "Um Professor. I can help, if you want to sit down. Take the weight off your feet." She did look a little peaky, and pale. "You feeling ok Professor?" |
''Professor Mrs. Lawson!'' stopping laughing at the male Lawson he ran to the female one when he saw her helping a Hufflepuff to ride a nothing...a Thestral. She might want to help him too! YAY! ''Professor Mrs. Lawson!'' he repeated again loudly and cheerfully. Hehehehhe ''I want to ride too. Could you please please please help me? I can't see them. You are seeing them, right? Can we ride it together?'' *Puppy eyes* Ohh she was huge but he was sure they would be both fine on a Thestral. There could be enough space for both of them. Or for the three of them or wah! Maybe Thestrals were small! |
Quote:
Gold frowned. Why was it that, despite everything, she always felt like Dylan... didn't really like her? No, not that. Everybody liked her, right? She had awesome red hair, and she was pretty. Not to mention, nice. Maybe vain too, but then again, everybody has their faults, right? It was more as if he... didn't really care. The feeling had been getting stronger lately, and he did nothing to make it go away. Nothing. ... and she still couldn't help feeling like she was Queen of the world or something, when he was with her. Darned love. "That's okay," she said. She hadn't been going to let him fall, you know. But if he didn't want to ride with her, it was okay, it really was and ... okay, fine, she was not happy about this! Quote:
"Thanks, professor!" Gold beamed at Professor Lawson, managed to stop thinking of Dylan for more than five seconds, and stepped up to the Thestral she had fed, earlier. He knew her, now. She had a love for animals, and they loved her back, most of the time. But that really wasn't why this one seemed to recognize her, right now. It was because she had, well, fed him, and not too long ago, either. Animals tend to remember that! Well, not Thestrals, maybe, but it hadn't been that long ago, you know. Five minutes only. "Hi there," she said, in a very soft, very gentle voice, reaching out to stroke the skeletal creature. He let her, and then she had eased herself on to its back. It felt different, and yet so familiar... just like the last time she had climbed on to one. But this was class. She half-smiled, leaned forward a bit, and then she was ready to take off. Into the open air. |
SPOILER!!: Oliver Wesley, kinda, shifted her eyes so she could see Oliver, still holding her head and hands steady for Miranda. Unable to shake her head, she whispered, "No. Never ever in my whOLE entire life," then, after a itty bitty pause, "Have you?" Frowning in thought, Wesley decided that he had, because he was older, and therefore, automatically knew everything. It never occurred to the 13-year-old that some first year, like Aaron or Sidney, might apply that same rule to herself. Still watching him as he backed away, the Hufflepuff let out a small, frightened squeal when the older boy collided with the air. Eyes the size of engorged Pygmy Puffs, Wesley quickly squeezed them tight, even though she couldn't see anything. They were that close to her the entire time!? If it hadn't been for the straps she was holding, she would've felt around her space for any other Thestrals. Or maybe not, since she didn't want to touch one. Peeping her eyes open when Oliver spoke again, the teenager shook her head violently, "Nonononononono-oops! Sorry Miranda!" Holding her head steady once more, Wesley asked back, voice solemnly hushed, "C-can you?" SPOILER!!: Professor Lawson (the man) But Wesley never waited around to hear the answer. As soon as it had escaped her lips, the most awful thud was heard. Twisting her head around to the sound's source, forgetting to hold still, she gasped in horror at the sight of Professor Lawson (the man) lying down in the mud. Scrambling over to the paddock, the Hufflepuff scaled the fence and then fell, into the dirt below. It was no matter, however! She scrambled up and ran over to the steadily growing crowd. SPOILER!!: Professor Lawson (the lady) "P-professor L-lawson," Wesley asked between breaths, "Is P-professor Lawson going t-to be alr-right?" He didn't look alright. He looked de- oh wait. No. That groan meant he was living. Right? |

He watched her climb on it. Great she was going to leave him behind. Oh well. He could pet one. He stuck his hand out in thin air, and pretended to stroke one. He was only stroking thin air. Probably looked stupid, but he didn't care. |
Quote:
"You can't see them, can you?" she asked rather cheerfully, as she beckoned him over. "Come here, I'll help you climb up." Since he could not see the pretty, skeletal creatures. Yes, pretty. |
SPOILER!!: Wesley <3 Oblivious to the squealing Wesley, Oliver turned back to face the group. His Threstral seemed just fine. In fact, Oliver probably got more of a shock than it did. His eyebrow raised at the wee Puff and her repeated use of the word 'no'. Right so she couldn't see them. Damn. She might have been of some use here. He was about to open his mouth to answer her question and she was off! Quote:

Pfft. It didn't understand. Pure coincidence. ...Right? |
Quote:
"Ok lets do it." |
Quote:
Look after him? Aww. AWWW. "Of course, DyDy," Gold said, with a chuckle, as she held out a hand, and helped him up. She could not really, not when her hand was rather tiny compared to his, but at least he would manage to get on, would he not? "Should we take off?" This was going to be SUPER fun! Gold could certainly not wait to get into the air. This lesson was made of WIN! Rawrr. |

He grasped tightly onto Gold's waist. "Ok I'm ready." |

Course it was! She was in it! Smiling, she waved slightly before looking at who had now arrived by them. Quote:
Well, right now she wasn't oblivious, and had been watching the Professor since she first got over here. Miiiggghhhttty suspicious of that hand movement to the stomach right there, but she couldn't be sure of anything. When was the Professor due anyways? Ugh, she could NOT believe there was going to be a little copy of the Lawsons running around. Seeing the Professor try to help Lawsguini up, her first instinct was to go and help her help him. But when she was juuust about to reach for the Professor on the ground, she pulled back and took a step away. What was she doing? Helping Lawsguini?! EW! But, the other Professor needs help right? Eh... moving back over again, Evelyn was just about to help one more time when she pulled away once more and moved back again. She couldn't do it. It wasn't worth the Professor Lawsguini germs on her hands that she would surely have afterward so instead, she through her hands up and went back to the thestral, rubbing it's back gently as she waited for the Professor to get up off the ground... |

"Oh thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I'll be careful," she lifted up her hand in the air. "Scouts Honor... Well she actually never really been a scout but it was the thought that counted in a promise right? "Ummm I don't really think I can do it alone. If its not too much trouble, may I have a ... boost up?" Nodding her head hopefully, she watched Lady Lawson help Arya onto hers and realized that well being quite she'd probably never get up there on her own. Unless it bent its legs a little and bowed low to the floor. But she doubted it would do that to her since it'd barely met her.It...it? No animal deserved to be ambiguous in that way...it wasn't a blob or a clown. She'd been just about to ask its gender when a race between Evelyn and Sir Lawson ensued. Wide-eyed and excited she watched them take the turns and then take to the air automatically bring her thumb up to bite her nail. She didn't really know who to root for she she ended up just cheering for both. That is until Evelyn crossed the finish line which is when she gave them both just big thumbs up and started bouncing on the balls of her feet excitedly. Maybe I'll get to race today too, she thought as bounced on the balls of her feet slightly her hand running through the invisible mane. |

As he laid on the ground, Marcus was counting in his head and he had managed to get to fifty before he heard Evelyn's voice. Surprisingly it didn't have that gloating tilt to it but he was sure that was still to come. He opened one eye a crack and snorted, "What makes you think that Evelyn?" Quote:

He stuck his hands in his pockets and kicked at the ground, "Trying to get a baby sitter for the day" he finally answered and giving her a cheeky grin. And then he suddenly pointed at Evelyn, "It was her idea to fly." And yeah he could see a lecture coming on, hopefully his wife would save that for later. Marcus looked at Wesley who seemed to be covered in mud and he raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything about her appearance. "I'm fine everyone. Just fine. Except for the flying part that really was awesome." He took his wife's hand and started to walk back towards the start line so that he could give the students a hand but as he passed Oliver he paused and leaned over to the boy, "I let Evelyn win you know. Thought that would make her happy" he said in a low voice. Mmhmm, the man was slightly deluded. ooc: I have to go to work now but I'll be back later to answer any replies. |

After about five seconds she grew board of just sitting there and was ready to ride. Her grip on his mane tightened and she slightly leaned forward to speak to her thestral."Alright boy, let's blow this popsicle stand!" As if she had spoken the magic words, the thestral galloped off and around the paddock. Arya was having the time of her life riding through the trees and around the others at full speed. They were about to fly when she noticed that Ivory had yet to get on her theastral. Whispering to her theastral the galloped over to her friend, slowing to a canter as they got closer."Hurry up slow poke, so we can fly!" She yelled as they passed her only to circle back around riding near Ivory. As much as she was ready to get into the air, she would wait for her best friend to mount, and not a second more. |

Destiny stood and just stared at Lawson. She wasn't allowed to ride the thestral by herself because she couldn't see them!? So not fair. Other people were riding them by themselves. Unless they could see them.. But that was beside the point. She didn't care what they were doing, or the fact that they might have been able to see the thestrals. If she wasn't allowed to, no one should. Humph. She must have dazed off for a moment there, for next thing she knew, Evelyn and Lawson were racing around the track. She would have laughed at this, but she didn't want to. Nope. She was in the middle of sulking to herself, and didn't want to have any part in this so called "fun". Stalking over to a spot where she was sure she wouldn't get hurt, Destiny plopped her behind there and just sat. She would not turn away from the grass she was staring at, not even if she had heard something about male Lawson falling off a thestral. Too busy sulking. Ooo, is that a SPIDER!? |

What, it was going to be just like riding a horse...she had never ridden a horse so how was she supposed to know what that was like? "Umm yeah, you better get on first, that sounds like a good idea to me." She wanted to see how he was going to get on something that was eight feet tall. Yep, in her mind these things were HUGE. |
Quote:
Instead, she turned around, her shoulders shaking still from a combination of laughter and trembling from nerves, she guided the thestral back over to where everyone else was, petting it's back gently. Too bad she didn't have anymore raw meat to give the horse. It, well she, totally deserved it! That flying was amazing! And she was completely unaware of what Lawsguini just said too one of the students about 'letting her win'. She would totally argue on that if she heard it! But alas, she was too busy thinking up ways of what she would make him do for a day...Mwaha! Quote:
"Hey." she said, about to sit down next to her but spotting a spider there instead. "Hey umm..." Yeaaa....could she please kill the spider?! It was RIGHT THERE! "You know...there's a creepy eight legged demon right there right?" SQUISH IT! BURN IT! "You going to move?" |
Carter put his foot in the little nook and then swung his other leg over the thestral. He shifted and settled himself in until he was comfortable. "Alright... put your foot right here." he said patting the spot again. "And then grab my hand and get on just like I did." he said reaching out his hand to her. |
Mina glanced around at every one on the thestrals. She wanted to ride, but there was a part of her that told her it was best to just keep both her feet on the ground for now. Getting on the back of a creature, she could hardly see wasn't at all wise in her mind. Finding a spot on the ground, where she was sure to be safe, she sat down. Maybe she would see her little snake friend there. |
Quote:
She put her foot where he was pointing then reached out and grabbed his hand. Okay, now to step up and swing her leg over to the other side. Other side of what though? Other side of thin air? Not hesitating any longer she finally did it, she swung her leg over nothing and sat down with a small thump. Whoa, that felt strange. She looked down and it looked like she was just floating there too yet she could feel that she was sitting on something. She put her arms around Carter's waist and held on tight. She didn't know why this seemed so scary. She wasn't scared like this when she was flying on a broom. Then again she could see the broom....and the brooms others were flying on too. Taking a deep breath she said, "Okay, ready to move when you are." *hug Carter a little tighter* |
