The classroom was arranged a little like an amphitheatre.
Desks were arranged in several rows, in a large semi-circle shape, facing the front of the room where Professor JD Kade was playing Jacks at his desk (at last look, he was working on foursies.)
On each desk, there was a note, and on the blackboard there was a large scrawly message that said:
Sit down
Get out a piece of parchment
Write down your FULL NAME, YEAR, and HOUSE
Fold the parchment in a little tent and stand it up on your desk so I can see it.
Unless of course you want to be Hey-You, in No-Year, of No-House.
PS: You can talk to each other until get past fivesies.
OOC: latecomers, now that the class has started, don't bother making the nametag, just pretend like you were always there and you have your nametag. | |

"I WIN!!!" Kade yelled jumping up from his desk and throwing his arms in the air. The five little jacks flew into the air raining down on the Professor, and bringing back to reality.
"Oh... this... means it's time to have our lesson." He looked around the classroom, hmmm a few troublemakers, he knew his own kind, but not anything he couldn't handle. "Stop talking now. Pay attention to me. Tempting though it maybe to have the last word, (I know how you feel,) keep the rest of you conversations for outside the classroom."
OOC: if you haven't done your name tags, pretend like you have, mkay? this also goes for latecomers - pretend like you were here and you have a name tag.

She looked at Allison with a puzzled expression, What in the world is she talking about?She shoke the tought, just glad her friend had forgivin her...she thinks. She gladly took the chocolate from Allison and began to unwrap it. "I'm no good at spanish, or any other language for that matter."She took a bite out of the chocolate and watched as Allison read a note that was in her lap. Smiling questionally at her she asked, "What's so funny?"
She turned from Allison, sticking the rest of the chocolate in her mouth when the professor had yelled out excitedly. Looking up at him amused she could tell this was gonna be a fun class. Finishing off the chocolate she pulled out a stick of gum and stuck it in her mouth.

"Heeeeeelllloooo," she muttered in a dark voice, turning her head and...looking at Miranda's ear. Hmm. "Nice name you got there. Come here often?"
And then she ruined it. And let out a giggle. Sigh.

Blinking at the sudden exclamation of excitment from the front of the room, Sabel swivelled his head around that way. Least to say it was a surprise to see the Professor jumping up from his desk with a shower of jacks like confetti. He blinked again; this man certainly didn't seem like the silent one he had met at the feast, and more like a larger version of one of his students. It was like Honey I Shrunk the Kids all over again; except he hadn't been caught in the experiment.

Allison quickly nudged Arya to shush and straightened her just used quill. No. Time. For. Friends. Big pout. It was class time and it seemed Professor...Allison narrowed her eyes to look at her self-made schedule, Professor Kade was about to begin. After class she'd share with Arya all her plans of flowers conquering the world or at least owning mean boys.
Ignoring her rambling mind Allison sat up and stared at Professor Kade with curiosity. What was this professor going to make her mind do?

Despite Kellen Boy-Creature in the vicinity and the ever questionable Sabel Dakest, Daphne Hopton found herself incredibly distracted. Super distracted. Helplessly and quite dreamily distracted?
If she thought Mister Masterson was a dashing fellow, clearly, she hadn't judged him next to the new and improved Charms Professor.
Charms could quite possibly be her new favorite class. So, Daphne did as she was told and paid attention, with her elbow on the desk and her chin on her hand.

At that exclamation, the gum that was being blown up made a loud POP. With bulging eyes, Bell stared at her professor. Dear heavens, this is what is going to teach her this term? This mentally childish man? Oh God.
Trying to keep her composer, Bell started chewing the gum again. While doing that, she pulled out an elastic band from out of no where, gathered her hair together and put it up in a very messy bun. Chew, chew, chew, chew. | |

Ivory scrunched her small face in concentration. She knew this one, but her mind seemed slow in forming the words. Trying to picture her textbook in her mind, she slowly took a few deep breaths.
Tentatively, she raised her hand her face in a funny grimace that seemed to give of waves of question marks.
“A charm is…is..a spell, or enchantment, or an incantation.” She began timidly but her voice seemed to be gaining a tiniest bit in confidence as she went on. “It gives something or someone properties that it would not under ordinary circumstances have. While transfiguration involves the...umm...changing of the very nature of something or someone."
Searching her memories for an example, she thought of the first one that came to mind; one she wished she could do if she answered this wrong and embarrassed herself.
“Like a Fidelius charm, that would hide someone from sight, giving that person an invisible and untraceable element even though of course normally they wouldn’t be invisible and be very much ..umm…there and traceable…” her voice trailed off. "While using transfiguration would simply change that person or thing into another object or vanish it. Changing it entirely not simply a few traits."
And with that she sunk down into her seat.
