Mina slowly made her way into the classroom. She was looking forward to the lesson. This term, the lessons actually interested her and she looked forward to actually learning something from her professor. Seeing Professor McFarlane as she walked father into the classroom, she smiled as she politely greeted the lady. "Good day, Professor. Looking forward to a fun lesson."

Spotting a table near the front, she slowly walked over and sat down. Ooo....crafts! She liked the looks of this.

Arya skipped gleefully into the classroom, ready for some learnin. As she took her seat at the front, she placed her bookbag on the floor and looked at the things on the table.

All the candy was suddenly making her hungry as she noticed that they were representing the planets, and the compass made her think of camping, which in turn made her think of Smores. This thought process continued to snowball for all of ten seconds until she blinked out of it.

Looking up at the professor she gave her best smile. "Hello Professor, how are you?"

Marie walked into the classroom and instantly noticed the candies sitting on the table. Maybe this class was going to be interesting after all. A class with candy had to be a fun class didn't it?

Looking away from the candy she sees the professor standing there. "Hello Professor, how are you today?" Finding an empty seat at the back of the room she sits down and takes out her parchment and quill before putting her bag on the floor.

Ivory came into the classroom with a big smile on her face. She was twelve and so far she was loving it.

Following her bestie, Arya into the room she took her seat, and if at all possible her smile got even wider. Candy!

She smiled up at the Professor, her excitement visible on her face,"Hey Professor, beautiful day isn't it?"

Her gaze caught by the compass on her desk. Which was great because she'd never been able to draw circles by herself.

After the last Astronomy lesson, Destiny didn't really want to attend this one. She was disappointed to learn the moon was not made out of cheese, and now she almost hated this subject.

She stopped by the door before deciding to enter, and what she saw on the tables made her practically run inside. Oh yes, this Professor knows how to lure students in! Walking over to a table close to Marie, Destiny gave the Professor a smile, 'Hullo Professor!'

When could she eat!?

Elora entered the classroom and took a look around. She loved this room. Well, she loved any classroom, but for some reason being in the Astronomy classroom was so much better.
She greeted her professor " Bonjour Professor!"
Elora spotted a seat by the window that was empty. She hurried over to it and took a seat.

Of course, probably like everyone else, the first thing Evelyn noticed was the candy on the tables. But, unlike everyone else, she wasn't very pleased to see them. The only candy she ate was the ones Bibby their house elf made, and these ones just...bleh!

Smiling slightly towards the Professor, she looked around to see if she knew anybody she could sit with. "Hello Professor." she mumbled quietly, quickly spotting Marie and Destiny in the back. Good seat choices in her opinion.

Making her way to the back, she sat in a seat in between the two Slytherins, and took out her notebook and, this time, a short purple yet spiky tipped quill. Another reminder from her Uncle of course.

Jacob entered the room. He saw the professor and a few students already inside. He walked towards a desk slowly. "Hello Professor" he said. Sitting he candy.

Oooh he wanted to eat. Maybe she would let them eat it. He stared at the candy, and waited.

Nymphy came in and sat down. He hoped that Avery came becasue he wanted someone to particiapte with this time. While he waited he practiced the Gemino Charms he learned earlier.

Maidee smiled and nodded as each of the students entered. "Hello everyone, welcome to class! Today we're going to make an edible Solar System."

She waved her wand and the instructions appeared for the students. "You can begin now."

A whistling Lockhart entered the class. He totally hoped that the Professor Lady wouldn't notice the fact that he WAS NOT in the first lesson. Treyen didn't even know his class was up in the tower until Miranda told him!

So, yes, Treyen entered and greeted the Professor, "Good..." oh, dear Gilderoy, was it day or night? "...weekend, huh, Professor? Hi!" he said, it's been a very good weekend indeed, because Hufflepuff was off to Championships now. How incredibly awesome was that?!

He smiled widely at the sight of candy (who wouldn't?) and took a seat.

Candy! How interesting.

Ella took a seat and smiled at the professor, then looked up at the board for the instructions. She took out her wand and bag and set it down nest to her desk. She grabbed a compass and started making the circles. "This okay so far, professor?" she asked, because they were a little lopsided but otherwise looking pretty accurate.

Lucy was very excited for her class and smiled at the professor as she was giving instructions on how to get started with our work, Lucy took her compass and began with her work, "Professor, can we use candy according to what we feel like, i mean can we use different candies other than these" she asked the professor as she wanted to use some more candies for her work.

After she had drawn in the orbits for the first 8 planets, Emily realised something was wrong and put up her hand. "Professor, didnt the muggle scientists decide that pluto was too small or the wrong matterial or something,and couldn't be a planet?"

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Okay Candy was finding this HILARIOUS. The firstie who was almost always hyper had had TWO chocolate frogs only fifteen minutes ago and now she was even more excited than usual. And of course the fact that they were going to be working with CANDIES was just SO FUNNNYY. Because Candy was her name and candies....... HEHEHE!

"That sounds awesome, professah!" she said all brightly as she got ready to work. Maybe she could partner up with someone? But the professor hadn't said that. Even though group activities were SOOOO awesome! But the real point was, this edible solar system sounded like SUCHHH a fun project and she wanted to get started on it right awayyyy!!

She grabbed a pretty and SHINYYY compass and happily drew nine concentric circles. Concentric circles were SOOO adorable and so much fun! Like this class. HEHEHE. Butttt waittttttttttt! "Ma'am!" Candy raised a hand. "Wasn't Plutohhh taken off the list of planets?"

POOR BABY PLUTO!

They were going to make edible solar systems. How in the world was this supposed to teach them something? Whatever though. At least it was something easy!

Sooo...hmm. She didn't need her notebook then apparently. Setting that aside, she pulled towards her the paper plate and compass, staring at it for a moment. Eesh, paper plates. She hadn't even known those existed until now! Taking the compass, she decided to just start with drawing the nine circles, debating which ones to use for each planet.

And which candies she would use for each planet. Pfft...candies... and now they were saying Pluto wasn't a planet. Great. So she drew an extra circle. Wait. Wait...She heard about this before. "Aren't they still debating over that though? In my opinion, they should've just kept the old definition of a planet instead of deciding to be all 'switcheroo' on everyone. It would definitely just be a lot easier and less confusing. Plus it would make a loooot of people happier." The muggles must be so angry HA! Even though she didn't really care whether they called it a planet or not, she was still considering it a planet.

Kay read all of the notes before her started. "This should be fun Professor." Kay start make her little solar system and could not help but lick her fingers. She couldn't wait until they were all done. When Kay was half way though. "Professor does this look right?" All Kay wanted to do was eat it.

So, they weren't allowed to eat the candy?

Crud.

Maybe if Destiny didn't put all the planets on her diagram she could eat the rest, heehee. Or she could always steal Kay's, that might be the better option. Grabbing the compass and drawing the circles, Destiny snorted at the question Kay asked the Professor. Did her's look right!? 'It looks horrible Kay. Maybe you should just hand your candy over to me.' Including the can of frosting.

Muahahaha! Destiny dipped her butterscotch 'sun' in the can of frosting, and plopped it on her paper plate. One butterscotch sun!!

Nine more to go..

Walks in. "Hello Proffessor this looks like a good lesson."
She starts to work on here model until it looks like the solar system.
"Yes, isn't Pluto not a planet according to muggles."

Why must they do stuff with perfectly good food. Why couldn't they just eat it. It's not like it'll do them any harm. Jacob sighed and started to read over the instructions. Just a little frosting wont hurt anyone...he'll take some after he finishes. He finished reading the instructions and said to himself "its not polite to play with your food. You need to just eat it." Shrugging he pulled the paper plate nearer to him and started working

After a few minutes of circle inside circle inside circle he finished with the drawing. Oh no. Something didn't look right. how many cicles did he draw. He started counting the circles. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. Hmm. nothing wrong...wait a minute. only eight circles? That couldn't be. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. Oh he was missing one That might be why. Making one more circle he looked down "there thats better"

Then He took the butterscotch and dipped it in frosting. Man, this was making him hungry. Putting it on the paper plate he saw there was frosting on his fingers. Now that wont do, astronomy with frosting covered fingers. He licked the frosting off his fingers. then went onto the planets.

Candy planets? Fun. Carter thought while reading the board.

SPOILER!!: directions

1. Using the compass, draw 9 concentric circles on the paper plate to represent the orbital paths of each planet.

2. 2. Using canned frosting, attach a "candy planet" on each path around a "candy" sun. *A butterscotch candy be used for the sun. The smaller planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, and Pluto should be represented with smaller candies, while the larger planets should be represented with larger candies. *Red spot on Jupiter, dark spot on Neptune, etc. can be shown by attaching smaller candies onto a larger candy. *String licorice can be used to depict the rings on the larger planets of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. *Colored sugar crystals should be sprinkled on between "Mars" and "Jupiter" to depict the asteroid belt.

Carter began drawing his planets. He remembered doing this in muggle school. Except they used styrofoam and spray paint instead of candy. He used his compass and drew a circle in the middle. That would be the sun. From there he began drawing the different orbits. He remembered that the last to orbits overlapped. He wondered if he would have to draw that.

Oh YAY they were working with candy today! Vashti decided this class would be great - especially if she got to eat this stuff afterwards. She would love Professor McFarlane forever if she let her eat the candy.

It was so tempting to just eat the candy now, but Vashti controlled herself and set to work on making the planet's orbits with the compass. One... Two... Three... Four... Five... Six... Seven... Eight... Nine! Yay, done with that! Onto the candy part now. (Oh, it was sooo tempting not to just stuff it all in her mouth.) But she managed to put the butterscotch sun safely in its place then set to work on the planets.

Treyen nodded as he heard the instructions. This shouldn't be difficult, unless he ate the candy. He liked muggle candy, candy canes especially, but he WAS NOT going to eat them, even if there seemed to be plenty of mints and everything laying around.

Alright!

So, ummm, he knew which one the Sun was, but he didn't know the last planets that were somehow named. He should've been here for the class. Still, that was of no importance...yet. First, the concentric circles, and that's why he was holding a compass in his hand, because of concentric circles. They all had the same center, right? Yes.

Concentric, here we go!

Aschere moved her satchel to the floor. Excellent, candy and crafts. Two things you couldn't go wrong putting together. A nice change from magic, too. She picked up a compass and a pencil and began measuring out circles for her planets.
