Lucy copied her notes in her book and gathered her thing and put them in her bag, she looked up at Professor and said "Great lesson professor, i'll be waiting for the next class" she said smiling at her and said "Have a good day Professor" and moved towards the door of the classroom.

Jenny copied her notes, got her things together and put it in her bag. "Professor, I really do love Astronomy." Jenny said happily. "And have a very, very, very good day, Professor." She said, nodding and walking towards the door. She did have a good taste for Astronomy.

Satine copied down the homework excitedly...this was the first homework of the term and she couldn't wait to get it done. She was pretty sure she would do it as soon as she got back to the CR. She smiled at the professor as she walked out. "Thanks Professor. That was a great first lesson!"

As Nunually wrote down her homework on her notebook she blinked. She had a question that involved the sun. "Professor, have you ever heard of a genetic disorder called Xeroderma pigmentosa?" she asked her holding her notebook close to her chest.

"Yes," Maidee answered warily. She had heard of it, of course, but....anything to do with the disorder should probably be best asked of the Healer, right?

Emily copied the homework into her diary and was surprised that she knew most of the answers from science class at her muggle school. Never the less, she would check her facts in the library after dinner, just to be sure.

Nunnually took in a deep breath. "Well I was wondering if the Earth's atmosphere were to get completely destroy would the destruction be like the disorder?" she asked and blushed. "Is there anyway that we can do to keep the earths o zone layers and such from getting desstroyed and is there a way to block the sun for a person with such a disorder?" she asked curiously and continued to get red. "I am sorry if I am not making much sense," she said while looking down

Copying down the assigned homework, Patroclus packed up his parchment and quills and placed them in his bag. As he passed Professor McFarlane, he smiled and said "Au revoir Professor and thanks for the sweets."

Maidee gave it some thought, "No," she said, "I'm afraid that without the ozone it wouldn't be a simple matter of staying out of the sunlight. Without the ozone the Earth would be destroyed, and the life on it."

"There isn't too much we can do, unfortunately, even if we could get everyone (mainly muggles) to give up their automobiles we still have volcanoes that erupt, which actually causes a bit more harm, as well as other natural occurrences, such as earthquakes, which allow the gases out of the earth. Now that there's a hole in the ozone, there isn't too much we can do as of yet. But I believe there are scientists looking to see if there is something we can do, so don't give up hope just yet.

"As for a person with the disorder...they would be in a enclosed area where no sunlight can get through."

"Miss, will we ever be able to live on other planets, or are we confined to Earth?" Lily said her cheeks glowing a familiar shade of scarlet. "I don't think so, but I'm just curious."

Severia copied down her homework and put her belongings away. "Thank you, Professor." She said with a smile and a small wave, before heading for her next lesson.
