Step. Step. Step.

Tyler took his first steps on the famous train he's heard so much about. The Hogwarts Espress. Ty looked for an empty compartment, but they were all full. Now he knew what he was in for. Passing through the walkway, Tyler finally found an empty one, and snagged it before the train got even more crowded. "She didn't warn me it was going to be like this," he mumbled to himself, remembering Jule's words. Ty slid the door close behind him and set his trunk above him. After that, he sat close to the window, with his feet on the opposite seat and stared out. Who knew what exactly he was looking at, Tyler just began drifting into thought.

Georgiana entered the train and snagged an empty compartment. She was sort of hoping her friends would be able to come and find her. She had promised Nulu they'd sit together on the train, and she wanted to keep that promise. She sighed as she looked out the window.

Finally, it was time to head back to Hogwarts. Marie was going to miss her parents but she was really looking forward to seeing her friends again. Walking through the back of the train she didn't see anyone she knew yet. Finding an empty compartment, she went in and sat down. 'Now to wait for Kay, I know she said she was going to be in the back of the train.' Marie looked out the window and watched for her friends.

Jeremy the cat walked into the back of the train in search for his owner his beautiful fur was glowing, now that he had, had a bath. Jeremy was a unique cat he did not dislike water on the other hand he loved it. Suddenly an owl appeared and Jeremy looked at it

"Flake, she is not here"

He told the owl. The owl looked at the cat and continued to follow.

Fia placed her things where they needed to be and found an empty compartment by herself. She made sure to walk here alone and also made sure to be alone. The train ride was going to be quiet, she could feel it in her bones. Nothing to worry about and loads to cry about. The window was a nice place to stare out as she watched the students pile onto the train without issues. New students and old students. This term was going to be full of absolutely nothing as she was negative in her ways of thinking. Nope! No one could change her mind on anything.

Georgiana chanced a look towards the door and thought she saw a cat and owl walk by. She patted her own owl, Pegasus's cage, before jumping up and opening the door. Just as she thought, it was Jeremy. "Jere! Where are you going! Come here, silly!" she called, squatting down.

Most people seemed to be heading for the middle cars, so Evelyn walked to the ones near the back. All she wanted to do was find an empty compartment. She found one, put her bag up on the shelf above her head and sat down.

If the previous night had been different, Evelyn would have been excited. She should have been excited! She was going to Hogwarts! But her thoughts were elsewhere. She was usually so happy and optimistic, but today she just felt numb. Her parents waved and smiled at her from the platform. There was no way they could have known how Evelyn felt. Now that Evelyn was seated, and seemingly happy, they turned and begun walking to the exit barrier.

Evelyn looked down, her fake smile now gone. She grabbed her bag but instead of getting out her Quidditch magazines, she grabbed a quill and her notebook.

As Evelyn sat there doodling and writing, she wished that the people that sat in the compartment with her were people she could talk to. The only thing that could bring her out of this mood right now were other people. Interesting people. Friends. She was thirteen, and she looked even older than that, but Evelyn wouldn't mind befriending a lonely first year.

Kay walked onto the train. She walked along the hall to the back of the train. She liked the back, it was quite and friendly. Kay looked into the compartments as she walked by hope to see someone she knew. Kay was hoping that she would find Marie and Rex. Kay felt kind of bad at the way she had acted when Marie told her about her family. Looking into the next compartment she saw Marie. "Hey, can I sit with you on the way back?" Kay asked walking in the compartment.

Cao Ling slowly entered the back compartment of the train. She slowly glided scross the floor with her feet making not a sound. Her long black gown flowed out smoothly behind her giving her an eerie quality. Her eyes darted around the compartment resting breifly on each and every person. No one there sparked any recognition or interest. If one of them were to be of interest to her, it would be the lowly and lonely Hufflepuff sitting, writting in a notebook. A quick cursourary glance revealed nothing more about here other than the irony of writing in a notebook with a quill. The mix of technologies made Ling feel odd. It was a feeling of things that should not be mixed, such as school and friends. Smiling softly to herself, Ling noted that while she needed not friends, she did need followers. Striding slowly, she proceeded to sit scross the aisle from the young girl and kept her eyes on a curious cat not far away.

Georgiana saw a girl from across the hall watching Jeremy. She picked Jeremy up when he got close enough and opened the door, waiting for the owl to fly in, "You guys can wait in here with me for Nulu."

Georgiana shut the door after the owl entered. She plopped down in her seat. "Well that was weird!" she said, glancing at the closed door. Then turning back to the cat she waved her hand, "Don't worry about it! Besides, I don't think Nulu will forget, she seemed excited!" Then she realized she had had trouble reading his color, "Jeremy, what happened to your collar? The words are blurred!"

Marie looked up when she heard the door to the compartment open. There stood Kay asking if she could sit with her on the way back to Hogwarts.
"Sure, you can sit in here, I was hoping we would find each other on the train." She felt happy to see her friend but also a little nervous. She had not talked to Kay since the night she told everyone who her family was so she didn't know what to expect from her. "So, are we still friends?"

Nunually was running late, she had promised Jeremy the cat that she would get them from the room but when she had arrived there her things were gone thankfully the nice person of the building had told her that her things had gotten safely on the train and if that there was something missing to let him know, he even got her an owl, because he thought she was a sweetheart. Nunually was so happy many people on this day had told her she was lovely, sweet, and caring, but most of all normal. Tears were in her eyes of happiness. As she went in the back of the train she looked around for Georgie, Jeremy or even someone who looked familiar but nothing. Suddenly she stopped. "Jeremy were are you?" she asked loudly. "Jeremy kun!" she said loudly

"Meow Meow, meoooooow" he said, how could he explain that the power in his collar had died, and he needed to recharge it. "Meow,
This time no words appeared. Suddenly he heard Nunually's voice

Georgie looked questioningly down at Jeremy, he was meowing but his collar wasn't transmitting the words. What was up with that?

Suddenly she heard Nulu's voice and stood to open the door and pop her head out. "Nunually, we're are in here!" she called to her.

Allison wandered from the front to the back of the train searching for her best friends, but couldn't seem to find them. She wasn't disappointed though, she was actually looking forward to meet some new people this year.

She reached a seat that looked empty, but when she opened the doors there was a girl sitting inside drawing.

Hello *she smiled* I'm Allison Lestrange, but you can call me Allie. Mind if I sit with you?

Miles smiled and followed Fia down the corridor toward the back of the train. Well at least some progress was being made. As they passed a compartment he stopped and listened to the conversation with a slight frown. Poking his head through the door he looked around and shook his head.

Looking at the two kids in there he laughed, "What an interesting contraption. But...you know those won't work in the castle right?" He smiled and gave a shrug, "Why else do you think the castle is still lit by candles and such. Muggle contraptions don't work."

When she saw that Jeremy was together with Georgie tears rolled down her eyes, "Thank goodness." she said and looked at them. "Jeremy I am so sorry I didn't go to the room like I had promised. Please forgive me." she said and the cat jumped on her head and began to attack her in a playfully manner. Nunually wasn't getting hurt but it was something she should have explained to Georgie. To anyone watching it looked as if the cat was attacking Nunually.

Fiona led the way down the hallway, hearing Miles doing his first job as a Prefect. That was exciting...watching him in action. Sighs! She turned to look down the opposite end of the hallway, trying not to pry in his business. Her compartment was just the next one as she walked over, sliding the door open and standing in the doorway until Miles made his way over to her room. She was nervous, sad, happy, not so much angry at the moment, as that side of her seemed to calm down a bit...at least for now.

Georgie stood by and watched while Nulu greeted Jeremy. Then seeing him attack her, she became concerned. "Jeremy!" she yelled, trying to grab the cat before he hurt Nulu.

Georgiana heard another voice and turned towards a guy standing in the door way. "They don't? Well, I guess we'll just have to get used to Jeremy like this!" she replied looking at the cat again before turning and smiling at the guy, who looked about a year older than her. "Thanks for letting us know." she smiled gratefully.

Nunually was giggling but since her face was not visible it could have been mistaken for a cry. As Georgie became concerned Nunually took Jeremy off. "I'm sorry Georgie we were playing that is how he shows he has forgiven me, if I ever run around like that it means the opposite, that he is attacking me for something dumb that I did.

"Wait it won't work in Hogwarts" she asked concerned. The thought made her panic. "Mommy made this device so I wouldn't be lonely." she said with tears in her eyes then suddenly she realized something. "I won't be able to call mommy?" she asked with an expression of worry. "I can't do that, I need to make sure mommy is ok everyday, she is sick and if I don't call and she dies....I..." Nunually fell to her knees

Georgie laughed, "Oh!" she smacked her forehead with her palm. What a dumb mistake.

Then when Nulu started crying, Georgie squatted down next to her. "Nulu, you won't be alone. You're going to make lots of friends! Just you wait and see! Plus, if you ever need someone to talk to, you can just come find me!" she smiled encouragingly, then hearing the next concern, Georgie pointed towards Nulu's new owl, "You have him now hun, you can send mail incredibly fast!"

Destiny stalked about the back of the train, trunk in one hand, her flitterbloom plant, Bunbury, in the other and her kitten, Inspector Sly Moustache, under her arm. Why the blasted cat wouldn't walk on a leash was, in fact, a mystery. Maybe not a mystery. Maybe because he was too busy eating the plant. 'Inspector! Don't. Eat. That.' It was no use arguing with the kitten, he did what he wanted. She needed an empty compartment and she needed one now. Glancing in each compartment as she stalked by, she noticed Marie and Kay in a compartment already. She smirked at them before she noticed the empty compartment..right across from them. This day was going great so far! Except for the half eaten plant..that wasn't great.

Miles looked at the two young students and smiled to the one who thanked him and looked slightly nervous at the one who started crying and speaking about...cellphones? Shaking his head he stepped further in and smiled, "Hey now. It'll be alright. Your friends right you can use the mail. Owl's are fast and accurate. And make great pets." Looking at his arm full of chocolate he smiled and pulled a piece out. "Here. Cheer up. I'm Miles one of the Ravenclaw Prefects. If you need anything just come find me." Handing the chocolate to the kid he smiled and then gave a piece to the non-crying kid.

Smiling to himself, a real smile, he stepped out of the compartment and looked around for Fia. Finding her he still smiled and dropped all of the chocolate onto the seat. "Well that was fun."

Today, was not a good day so far. Dragging her trunk by one hand, not caring if it hit people or...people...she held the snake in the other before deciding to just let it slither up her arm and around her neck. She couldn't wait for the train to leave which meant, goodbye parents! And little brothers! Looking into each compartment, seeing supposed first years, happy faces, and well, just annoying people in general, she paused in front of one that had Marie and the Huffie, Kay. Why in the world Marie was friends with her, Evelyn would never know...

Raising a brow at the Slytherin before continuing down the train, she didn't get far, literally, when she spotted Destiny. Finally! Huffing, she moved inside the compartment and dropped the trunk right in the middle of the floor while sitting down lightly on the cushioned seat. It seemed like forever since she saw her friend in Diagon Alley and..."What happened to your plant?"
