Abigail was out of breath when she finally reached the owlery. She’d ended up lost somewhere on the way up, and now she was worried about finding her way back down. Finally catching her breath she began looking for a school owl to borrow. Noticing a beautiful Tawny owl perched nearby she approached it slowly so as not to spook the poor thing.

“Would you mind taking a letter for me?” she murmured softly. After receiving a hoot, which Abigail took as a yes, she reached her arm out and allowed the owl to hop on before making her way over to a window.

Grace gave the letter one of the owls which flew away immediatly. Then she went back to the castle.

Helena took a deep breath in before opening the door the owlery, though a quick glance around told her that Blake wasn't there yet. No matter, she knew he'd come. She walked over to one of the windows and looked out over the dewy grass, left over from the night's frost but already melted as it neared midday. She breathed deeply again.

Eva didn't visit her owl since she was back at Hogwarts, not because she didn't have letters to sent, but more the opposite: she did have a lot of letters to send, she just didn't find the courage within to do so.
"I have to get this over with..." she whispered to herself, looking at the two letters she held on her hand. One was the regular letter for her mother just to let her know Eva had arrived and everything was fine. The other one was an elaborate letter to her muggle bestfriend, Danny... The one that had kissed her earlier in the summer. Eva looked at the letter again and finally made up her own mind. She was not ready to talk to Danny just yet, so she called her beloved Snow and gave her the piece of parchment meant for her family.

Hi. I arrived a few days ago but things have been kind of crazy, so don't expect news from me so soon.
Hogwarts is fine as always

The letter was written in a cold tone and was short enough for Chloe Longwood to understand that if she didn't make an effort, she would loose her daughter forever. Looking backwards, maybe she had already lost her.
It's life.

Anya slowly made her way up to the Owlery. Immediately, she saw Lorelai, her rare Red Barn Owl. Stroking her feathers, she gave her an owl treat, fresh. "Sorry, girl," Anya said, "I've got to go to class," And with that she left, Lorelai too engaged in her treat to even notice she had left.

Sara was lonely and missing both her old muggle friends and her new wizarding ones; so, she decided to go and visit her only real true friend... her owl, Orion.

Entering the owlery, Sara immediately spotte her snow-white owl on the top most shelf.

"Orion... Orion..." Sara called, "Come here, I have some nice bacon rinds for you to nibble on." Sara new that the rinds would please her owl, after having experimented with many different scraps throughout the week! She also new that Orion hated carrots, and she had the bite marks to prove it!

Giving Orion the meat scraps, Sara settled him on her shoulder to eat in peace. Sara wondered where her friends were...

Finally, after a little chat with Orion and a promise of more scraps, Sara placed her owl back on his perch and left the owlery with a sad sigh...

Checking himself for the last time in the mirror, Blake bolted towards the Owlery. He was meeting Helena there to spend some time with their owls. Smiling as he pushed open the door to the Owlery, Blake wrinkled his nose, eeep it was quite smelly in here. Shrugging off, he refrained from inhaling the air and crept behind Helena on the ball of his toes and covered her eyes with his hands, "Good Afternoon, Miss Crawley." He whispered in her ear, trying hard not to chuckle.

Helena was still staring out the window when her eyes were suddenly covered and she heard Blake's voice in her ear. She chuckled while he didn't and put her hands lightly over his. Good Afternoon, Mister Wright, she said lightly, still grinning a bit.

Blake pulled away his fingers one by one and leaned forward, kissing Helena on the cheek. Making a verry serious face, which was hard might I add, he bowed "What can I do for you today, Mistress?" Bwahaa, he was talking like a butler. Shrugging of the coyness, Blake got back to his usual self.

He clapped his hand once, "Oi Punky!" He called out and whistled. A small owl came flying towards Blake and landed on his head.

Helena blushed slightly as Blake kissed her cheek but quickly recovered by laughing at his formal butler-y manner. Just about to answer, she was interrupted as an owl came swooping towards them and landed on Blake's head. Awww !!! He's cute, she said, a small smile on her face and in her blue eyes. Then after a moment she looked over her shoulder and said, Penny. A rather large eagle owl flew down from the top rafters and landed swiftly on Helena's shoulder, gazing with interested light gray eyes at Blake.

Frowning, Blake lifted Punky from his head and placed him on his shoulder, "Why do you always land on my head? You're jealous of my hair aren't you?" He muttered to the owl, completely oblivious to the fact that he had company. Sticking his tongue out at the tiny creature who was gawking Helena with his big black eyes, Blake ducked as a Eagle swooped over his head and sat on her shoulder.

"You use an Eagle, why?" He said, looking rather frightened since Eagles can bite really bad and he sooo wanted to stroke it.

Helena chuckled as Blake talked to his little owl, absentmindedly stroking Penny as she did so. At his question, though, Lena's blue eyes opened a bit wider and she smiled. I've always preferred eagle owls to others.... She looked up at the bird on her shoulder. They just seem so protective, she murmured, quite unaware that she truly did feel protected around her, and that made her feel a great deal better than she had growing up.

Bella walked upto the owlery. as soon as she entered she saw few students out there with there owls. it was cold and breezy that day. she looked for her owl
"ah there you are Rocky," Bella called sweetly.
"how are you doing? havent seen you for quite long," she spoke to her owl. she was very much attached to him. she gave him some owl treats and went and stood near the arched open window of sorts and Rocky flew over to her shoulder. she loved visiting this place. next to the astronomy towere this was the highest tower and from here she could see every part of Hogwarts and that is what she admired.

must have gone to meet Jacob she thought as she turned to go out of the owlery.
Godric her friend Laura's owl swooped down to her shoulder and gave small peck on her shoulder. before Bella left she fed Godric some treats and then left.

Michelle was deep in thought. She really missed her family. Although she had been here for many days now and she was getting used to the Wizarding World, she couldn't help crying over her Mom's memories at night. She had come to meet Scruffington, she wanted to send an owl post to her mom.
`Hey Scruff! Did you miss me? Well, I did! Would you please go and deliver this letter to my family? There's a good boy, go now!'

As Bella walked out of the owlery she saw a familiar looking first year
"hey Chelle!" she called out 'that's her name right?' she called out
"how are you doing?" Bella asked

So, there he was again.

The owlery. Where Rayedem had his first Hogwarts fight. What was it about, anyway? He had already forgotten. Apparently it was so unimportant that he didn't even try to remember. Oh well. As he entered the place there were already a few students inside. He smiled swiftly and continued walking on. Looking around, he realized there were too many owls to choose from. What's more, he had no idea which ones were owned by the school and which ones were the students'.

Walking up to one of the owls sitting on its perch, he dumbly said, "Hey there," he paused, glancing around hoping he wasn't saying it too loudly, then looked back at the owl, "Would you do me a favor? I want you to deliver these.." he drew two envelopes from his pocket, frowning as he raised them to the owl.

"This one," he said, addressing the first envelope, "goes to France, to my sister, well, I don't know how you'd understand but I've written the complete address, look." he pointed his own writings on the envelope, then he showed the owl the other letter, "And this one.. This one goes to Seattle, to my parents. I hope you wouldn't mind. Take your time." he nodded slightly and began tying the letters on to the owl's scaly legs. Okay, your legs aren't fun to look at, he thought, struggling with his attempt. "I wish I knew your name." he muttered.

Chelle turned around to see Bella, the girl she had met on her first day. `Oh Hi Bella! I'm doing great, what about you?'

As Chelle was talking to Bella, she saw another familiar face walking upto the owlery. `Hey Edem! What's up with you?' she called out to Rayedem. He was looking confused as to where his owl was, or maybe he didn't have one.

"i am doing great Chelle...so how are you finding Hogwarts?" Bella asked.
Bella looked up to the first year boy who Chelle adressed and smiled at him. he looked what one could say a bit confused about something.

`Well, Hogwarts is great! I'm much more comfortable here now, and I love all the things taught to us. So far, Defence against the dark Arts is great!'
Chelle burst out excitedly.

"i am glad you are liking it here. and yes DADA is really cool. you are done with the homework on Cornix pixies that Professor lawson set for us? that was really cool...i am done with it but dont know how much i am scoring in it," Bella continued
"so sending letter to your family or just came to visit your owl?" asked Bella

`Yup, the Cornix Poxies was interesting! No idea about the points, though!' Chelle returned with a smile.
`I came to send a letter to my Mum back in Oxfordshire. I miss her a lot, and my sister Adrianne too. So I'll see you later then, right?' Chelle said.

Renesme entered the Owlery with her eyes searching for her snowy white owl Berry.She at last spotted her sitting next to some screech owl with her head under her wings.As soon as Renesme approached her she opened her great amber eyes and hooted dolefully.Nessie petted her and provided her with some owl treats.Then she murmered "see you later ,okay ,Berry?" and walked slowly out of the room.

"yup see you later, bye," Bella said and get going towards her common room.

Chelle waved as Bella moved out of the Owlery. She then turned back to Scruffington, who was now hooting decently. `Do you need some treats?' Chelle said gently, and dropped some in the cage. She stroked him gently as Scruffington nibbled on the owl treats. She was feeling melancholy again. She really missed her family like she was never going to see them again.

Rayedem almost poked the owl's legs with his fingernail when he heard a voice calling his name. Goodness, that startled him. His right hand leapt to his chest, causing his letters to fall miserably on the floor while he turned around to see who it was.

Did she just call me Edem?

Rayedem was having a hard time remembering the girl's name. He knew he'd met her, whether it was in Diagon Alley or on the Hogwarts Express. She was a nice girl, but what was her name again? Miranda? Michelle? Minerva? Mikaela? He took his chance.

"Oh, hey, Mikaela." he said, nervously waving with his left hand, his right one rubbing his chest, "I was gonna send a letter to my family.. My parents, and my sister, well," he paused, regaining control of his heartbeats again, then continued, "What about you? Haven't seen you in a long time."
