For a moment, it looked like neither boy was going to agree to let LouAnn be in their little group. Rafe was happily singing some little song, while Jack was just blinking as if he was really confused about something. Eventually, both of them came around, Jack speaking up just half of a minute before Rafe. "Okay, cool! Yup, the more the merrier!" she said, nodding a few times in reply to what Jack had said.

Purple---hee hee. Everyone really was starting to call her by her last name. "Thanks, guys. I really hate when we have to partner up. Not because I don't like working with people, though. It's because I always feel like I'll get left out," she admitted. "Anyway, the more, the merrier! Let's get started! So what exactly are we supposed to do now?"

Glancing around the room, Destiny noticed another team already starting. 'Well if they are doing it right, it doesn't look like wood will be getting into our eyes. But I don't think we were supposed to start, were we?'

Alexandra jumped when Lorcan set the plank on fire. She paniced for a moment then remembered... Pointing her wand at the plank she cried, "Aguamenti" and put the fire out. Smiling sheepishly at her partner she said, "Ummm... maybe we should hold off on this for a bit." She cocked her head to the side and said, "Hufflepuff, you said. Hmm... you must be a very loving person" That is what Alexandra had always been told about those in Hufflepuff house.

Looking around, she noticed that Destiny was right and that a few people had started. "I don't think so. He didn't say anything about starting. What's the wand movement for 'deprimo' anyways?"

"We are both first years, yes." she answered with a smiled. The older student reminded Mina of one of her brothers and was probably one of the first few male students to actually talk to her. She was starting to think that being a first year meant she would be considered invisible or something. Looking around the room again, she looked back to her partners. "Are we to start yet?" she asked seeing a few others were.

Rafe had put on his gloves and was holding the plank that Jack brought over. He was completely distracted for a moment as he watched his best friend fraternize with the enemy. Yes, he did a horrible thing to Theo and deserved expulsion, but that was no excuse, Theo could still expose who he was. His anger was increasing more and more, and then SNAP!

The plank seemed to break in two. His strength seemed to increase with his anger, and was only possible given his condition, as he liked to call it.

"Oh, sorry," he said as he looked at the two pieces of the plank in his hands. Rafe thought LouAnn looked happy to join their group. "I know what you mean, sometimes its harder, especially with, no offense Jack..." Rafe gave a sympathetic look, "...But, with some of the older students. People seem to have their little groups here and there, but being a first year, you really have to make your way through the crowd."

Rafe didn't know what to do with the planks. "Should we get another one? Or can't we use that reparo spell to fix it?" Rafe asked as he looked back and forth between Jack and LouAnn.

Lorcan was mortified. He looked at the wet, smouldering mess that had been the plank and the boxes. Brilliant, he thought, you've made a prat out of yourself again. "Yeah, umm, that's a good idea." He didn't want to set anything else on fire. He blushed deeply as she told him that he must be a loving person. "Hmm, I don't know. I love my family, if that's what you mean. Gryfindors are all brave, is that right?"

Vilhelmiina looked around the room. She was horrible with the whole 'find a partner,' thing. Last time she hadn't even found a partner. She hoped that this class would be better.

Josh laughed at her bowing and took the wood from her ''Thanks. We can begin when you tell me what we are up to'' he said smirking. He remembered all the fuss with Evan and how he enjoyed his annoyed face. ''You know. I have not been so interested in the class, so far'' he stopped for a while and looked at her face ''Already regretted having me as a partner?''

Arianna looked at Rafe sideways and mouthed "what?!" as she watched his hands snapping that thick wooden plank in two. She flinched and turned her back on him. " Maybe it's better if we move there" she said to Theo, pointing to a further corner.

Vilhelmiina finally spoke up. She had no idea where this was coming from. "Does anyone need a partner?" She could feel her face warming. That was just so unlike her.

"I don't have a partner yet." Carter said.

Abigail wondered if people just hadn’t heard her or if no one wanted to partner with her. She couldn’t be the only one without a partner...and she’d asked if she could join a group but no one had answered. ‘Maybe I’m just never meant to have a partner in Transfiguration...the same thing happened last time.’ Then finally she heard two people speak up, and turned towards a boy who seemed to be from griffindor “Hi I’m Abigail, what to partner up?”

Vilhelmiina walked over to the boy and smiled nervously. "Hello, I'm Vilhelmiina. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"I'm Carter." Carter said introducing himself. "Shall we form a group?" he asked looking between the two girls.

Vilhelmiina nodded to Carter. "Sounds like a plan."

Alexandra smiled at Lorcan and said, "Gryffindor, where dwell the brave at heart." She shrugged as if to say You got me!. She giggled a bit and then cocked her head to the side and studied Lorcan for a moment and asked him, "How are you liking Hogwarts so far?" Her blue eyes sparkling as she looked at him.

Kay looked up when she heard the spell being done. She turn in her sit to watch Lorcan cast. Kay waved her hand at Lorcan to get him to stop. The Professor hadn't told them to start yet. That girl has going to get us all in hot water. "Stop!!!" Kay mouthed at Lorcan. Kay saw the flames and put her head on the table. "That Gryf girl is going to get it." Kay said to herself.

Marie and Kay were setting up their station when Marie smelled something burning. She looked around the room and was a little surprised when she seen that a couple of students had already started practicing. Not only were they doing something they weren't suppose to yet, they had set their plank on fire. Marie looked at Kay to find she had her head laying on the table. "Isn't that your friend over there?" she asked Kay.

Lorcan noticed Kay put her head on the desk. She must have seen, he realised, She must think I'm an idiot.


"Well, apart from setting fire to things by accident, it's been... ok." He didn't want to admit that he had upset most of the girls in his year twice in one evening. "It's very different to my last school."

Alexandra noticed the girl waving her hands and laying her head on the desk. She narrowed her eyes at her and flipped her hair around. Looking back at Lorcan she said, "Don't feel bad. I am a bit of a Klutz meself. I fell on top of a poor girl on the train, not to mention the fact that I speak before I think most of the time." She shrugged again as if to say We've all got our faults. Nodding her head toward the two girls she asked, "Are those your friends?" Alexandra didn't really know too many people in Hogwarts. She was a loner for the most part.

Abigail shrugged and sat back down on her chair, she wasn’t that bothered as long as she had someone to work with. “Yeah that’s fine, we just need the professor to show us how to use the spell...or did he do that when I wasn’t paying attention.” She’d been away in her own little dream world as she frequently was whilst waiting for a class to start.

Suddenly she realised she’d just picked her table for them to work at, and looked back up at the boy and girl “Is it ok if we work here, or do you guys want to move elsewhere?”

Kay looked up to see the sad look on Lorcan face. "Great" she said to herself, "now he thinks I upset with him" Kay want to jump up and go back there. "Boy, I wish the professor would get on with it." She thought.

Lorcan was still blushing furiously but he managed to smile. "I'm not the only one then? That's good to know." He looked to see who Alexandra was talking about "The girl with the long brown hair is Kay. She's a Hufflepuff too, she's nice. The other girl is Marie, but I don't really know her."


Lorcan noticed Kay looking at him and tried to smile. He hoped that she wasn't too embarrassed to be his friend.

Kay turned to look at Marie. "Sorry, oh, yeah he's my friend." Kay said smiling looking back over to Lorcan table. "I hope he's all right." Kay said not to anyone, but knew that Marie was listening. "I'll talk to him after class. It will be ok." Kay said as she watched her feet and talking to Marie in a very soft voice. She didn't want to loss point as well.
