"Oh yeah. I guess there is an odd-number.. by all means, please join." Kylie sounded like a huge git. "Sorry. I make terrible first impressions. Glad to have you joining us." Kylie looked around the room and wondered where they were to go and what exactly they were supposed to do next. "Well.. where to?"

When LouAnn was handed a pair of gloves, she promptly put her wand off to the side just as she'd been told. She quickly slid her hands into the gloves, retrieved her wand, then set off in search of a partner. It was always sort of tough searching for someone to work with. LouAnn always felt sort of silly just standing around and waiting on someone to claim her.

All hope was not lost, though, for good ole Rafe and Jack were paired up and just about to get started. Maybe they wouldn't mind a trio. "Hey, Rafe...Jack. Mind if I join in, too? I'm partnerless," she said, with a little laugh. Jack had just come back with the supplies, too, so if all worked out the way she hoped it would, they'd be about ready to get good and started.

Lorcan grinned and nudged her back. "Hi" he breathed, "I'm working with Alexandra because we're sat together. You were sat with Marie when I arrived." He took a plank and walked back to the desk where Alexandra and he were sitting.

"No idea." he said with a short laugh as he grabbed his own pair of gloves and pulled them onto his hands. "I guess we should just wait for the professor." he said with a shrug as he dropped his wand in front of him.

Jack was staring wide eyed at Rafe, who had just broken out into song, and was just wondering if his Keeper had gone completely loopy when LouAnn walked over. He blinked a bit and shook his head before looking up at her. "Oh, yeah, sure, the more the merrier, right?" he said with a small chuckle.

Rafe immediately stopped what he was doing and stood up straight and lowered his voice, so he didn't sound so childish after what he just did,"Of course Purple! We would be more than happy to have you in our group." Rafe patted her on the shoulder rather awkwardly, "The more the merrier, as Jacks said." Oh, he was sounding dumb, but it was better than being fast as lighting. HIYAH!

Mimicking the older student, Kylie pulled her gloves on and held the wooden plank by her side. "Sounds like a plan to me." Kylie waited for the rest of the room to get situated and listened for the next directions.

Kay sighed and turned all the way around to walk back. She followed Lorcan until she got back to her desk. Kay realized that she was watching him and blushed a little. Kay sat down in her chair and looked forward putting her plank down on top of both desks. "What is wrong with me?" Kay asked herself. She felt funny and a little mad that he was working with someone else. Kay looked back and sighed again, then turn to Marie.

Mina blinked when she noticed someone talking to her. "Oh, Hi, I'm Mina...Ravenclaw," she smiled. "Yes, I think I do."

Looking up at the older boy in front of them, Mina nodded as he spoke. "Not at all, the more the merrier," she smiled. The class did look very odd-numbered after all.

"I'm Audio, by the way." he said, holding out his gloved hand to her- smiling politely. Most of the time older students didn't like talking to the younger kids- but Audio was different. He felt... bad, almost, if he treated the younger students different. His little sister meant the world to him and she was 11 just like some of them, so yeah... first years all the way and stuff.

Kylie wasn't sure if Audio had heard her earlier introduction, so she stuck her hand out and shook Audio's, "Kylie." she said, "Nice to meet you." She'd only met one other older student at Hogwarts, and it had been brief. Audio seemed to have a very genuine nature.. it was nice to be around someone who didn't seem so...complicated.

Mina watched Audio introduce himself to Kylie and vice-verse as she pulled the gloves on. "Nice to meet you both," she added as they waited for their next instruction.

As Kay came back Marie noticed how she was watching the hufflepuff boy walk back to his desk. "So who is the boy" Marie whispered as she was putting on her gloves. Kay's face looked a little flushed yet she kind of looked upset about something. "Are you OK?"

Kay grabbed her gloves and put them on. Kay looked at Marie and thought that she would have remembered Lorcan from Charms class. Kay looked down at her bag and softly said..."What's Lorcan, he was in charms class with us." Kay leaned back up and.."and he nice to me." Kay didn't know if she want to talked about it to much. She was just being silly. "I'm ok." Kay said smiling at Marie and then looking up to listen to the professor.

So his answer wasn't ENTIRELY stupid.

This made Jake happy-ish.

Glancing around the class, Jake blinked. Partners? EWWW! He HATED partnering up. But alas, it had to be done.

Standing up from his seat, in hopes that the slight change in height might mean something, Jake scanned the room for a partner. "Anyone?"

Or not. There was no telling who knew of Jake's wandwork.

Chelle looked around the classroom to see if there was anyone she knew and she could pair up with. No one! `Guess it's time to make new friends,' she thought. `Erm, does anyone want to be my partner?' she asked hesitantly.

"The gloves, i have no clue." she said, flexing her fingers. "But i think the professor said something about a 'deprimo' spell or something to cut the board...sooo maybe the gloves are so we don't get any splinters?" Evelyn said, playing with the gloves on her hands and looking uncertainly towards Destiny.

Edem did as he was told. Putting on the gloves, he enjoyed the immediate warmth, and then set his wand on the desk, eager for the next instruction. Why do we require gloves? Is it some kind of dangerous magic?

Partnering up again. Uh-oh. For the first few seconds he struggled to keep his eyes fixed at the professor, just so as to avoid everyone's gazes, even Evan's. But seeing as Evan was sitting right next to him, and that he was already dating Fallon, it would be awkward with Lyra, right? He decided to save the second year from possible distractions that might happen during the practices. Turning his head to Evan, he asked, "We be partners?"

Thud. Here they are again. Needs to be partnered-up with everone. What a Dilemma! They can do things just by themselves.

He glanced around, in hope that somebody is in need of a partner. He saw Jake searching for a partner. Great!

Its great so he don't need to be partnered with someone he don't like well. "Me." Cedric smirked as he reached Jake. And he hoped that their activity for the lesson would be great and easy but challenging at the same time.

"Er... yes, me," Kiri called out from her desk to the girl. "Hold on, I'll come over." Ugh, but it was cold! She bent down, picked up her bag and rummaged around for a tissue. After sniffling into it, she got up and wandered over to the table where the girl was sitting. "Hi, I'm Kiri," Kiri announced. She pushed her bag under the desk and let herself fall onto the chair next to the girl's.

Partners..like ..again.
Mweh why did they always had to partner up?
It was one thing that Lyra wasn't good at this subject, but it was also another thing that other students could see she was bad at it. Lyra sighed and wrapped her Slytherin robe tighter to her body. Who opens up a window when it's winter? ..Professor Svensson apparentally. The second year shivered and looked around as people started to walk away from their desks and partnered up. Lyra didn't wanted to leave her desk, the place where she was sitting near the wall was much warmer than getting closer to the windows. Then she had a idea, something that made her wonder why she hadn't done it before. She picked her schoolbag and placed it on the table, looked inside it and grabbed her silver and green scarf out of the bag and wrapped it around her neck, leaving the ends of her scarf hanging on her back and smiled. Much warmer. Lyra looked up as someone got a box of gloves towards her. She picked up a pair and put them on. yay.

Now much warmer..kind off. Lyra got up from her chair and looked around.
"Eh..anyone wanna be partners?!" she called out, not bothering to walk up to every person in the class and ask them.

Arianna found herself, once more, partnerless. She had her gloves on and lost herself for a minute in the surrounding. When she looked up there were pairs everywhere. She bit her lip and started getting on the tip of her toes " Anyone wants a partner??" she announced to the class " iiiuuuuuuuuu, hereeee, I'm free!"

Nataly looked around, looking for a partner. She was shivering from the cold windows. She put the gloves as Professor Svensson instructed.
She heard a familiar voice, and turned around. In the other side of the class Lyra asked if anyone needs a partner. Nataly made her way to her. "Hey Lyra!" she greeted her. "We can be partners."

Lyra was about to sit down again when she heard a familiar girls voice nearby. She halted and now looked like she was sitting on a invisible chair. Chuckling, Lyra stood up again and turned around to see who it was and met Nataly's eyes. Yay she had a partner now! Lyra smiled broadly while saying a "Hey Nataly" and nodded her head in agreement that they could be partners. 'atleast Nataly knows i'm not so good at this subject...' she thought to herself cause this was the second time that she partnered up with her in this class.

Alexandra smiled at Lorcan and said, "It's very nice to meet you Lorcan. Yes I am first year Gryffie." She also smiled at the girl as she approached and asked Lorcan to work with her.
