Alexandra went forward and took a box of gloves from Professor Svensson and began to pass them around to the other students. She smiled meekly at the Professor as she did so.

Chris took his box that was past to him and thank the person who gave it to him. He then did as the Professor told him and set his wand down and then put the gloves on.

Marie grabbed one of the boxes, the left gloves, from the professor and started handing them out to the students closest to the windows. 'What could we be doing that requires us to wear gloves' she thought to herself. When she got to her own desk she placed a glove on it then asked Kay to please get her a right glove when they came around. She then continued handing out gloves to the other students.

Kay knew that Lorcan was somewhere behind her. God why couldn't she have set by him. He always had good answers. No one ever like her answers. She hope that she would be able to talk to him after the class, or maybe he wouldn't want to talk to her. Kay looking back saw how Lorcan was looking at the new girl he was setting with.

Kay listened to the professor and watch was Marie and Alexandra passed the gloves out. Kay heard Marie ask her to get her right glove and Kay smiled. Kay reached into the boxes as there went by and got two sets of the gloves. Kay reach up her sleeve and pulled out her wand and sat it on the table top. Kay watched as everyone else got their things.

Lorcan was not feeling brave enough to volunteer for an unknown task. He really didn't think that he could stand to have everyone laugh at him right now.

Lorcan looked at the blond girl who had thought his idea was a good one. She looked like she was a first year too, but she was clearly much braver than Lorcan.

Lorcan noticed Kay glancing back at him. He tried to smile at her, but he thought that she probably hadn't seen him.

Lorcan gave the girl called Alexandra a small smile as he took a pair of gloves from the box. He placed his wand on the desk, ready to for the next instruction.

Marie finished passing out the gloves in her box then gave the box back to the professor. She went back to her seat, sat down, pulled out her wand and layed it on her desk with her gloves. "Thanks for getting me the other glove" she told Kay as she sat there waiting for further insturctions from the professor.

Alexandra returned the boy's sheepish smile as she gave him his gloves. After finishing her way around the room she returned to her seat. Taking a deep breath she said in a small voice, "Hi. I'm Alexandra Kennedy. And you are?"

"Thank you. Now, if everyone could find a partner--if it's an odd-numbered class, which I haven't bothered to count, there can be a group of three..." Svensson opened yet another box, this time large and rather bulky-looking. "Then, have one person from your pair come up here and take ONE wooden plank for their pair, and then stand by a pair of desks." The professor paused, then added, "Keep the talking to a minimum, please."

Hmmm, partners again? They seemed to be partnering up a LOT lately. He looked around and really didn't spot anyone that he knew very well. Ahh well. Time to make new friends!

"Anyone need a partner?" he asked, looking around at the desks nearby to see if anyone would take his offer.

Marie looked at Kay, "You wanna be partners since we are sitting together or do you have someone else you would rather partner with?" Marie remembered how Kay acted in charms class with the Hufflepuff boy that was sitting a few desks behind them. Maybe she wanted to partner with him this time.

Evelyn took two gloves as they were being passes around, putting her wand on the desk before putting the gloves on. 'Wonder what these are for.' she thought.

'Aw, more partners.' she thought solemnly, looking around, until her eyes landed on Destiny right next to her. 'Woah, when did she get there?' Smirking, she turned in her seat, putting one elbow on her desk and laying her chin on her hand while staring at the girl. She felt nervous for asking, thinking that maybe Destiny already had a partner in mind for the class but...eh...she asked anyways."Wanna be partners?" she asked softly and innocently. 'I seem to always have fun when I'm partnered with her for some reason. Kinda rare.'

Kay saw Lorcan smile at her. She was happy he had seen her. It was really nice to have him as a friend. Kay turned back to look at him. She smiled and gave a little wave.

Kay turned back to look at Marie. "Your welcome. So what do you think we will be doing?" Kay asked Marie. "Hope it's something easy." Kay said looking up as the professor started to talk.


Kay didn't think she could go in front of the class but she started to get up to go get what they would need for the rest of the class. "Marie, you do want to be parterns don't you?" Kay asked as she looked back up at the professor.

"Hey Jack, my man!" Rafe said as he sat next to his Quidditch Captain. "Could I have the honor of bring your partner?" Rafe was usually one to wait around for someone to ask him, but today he felt like being assertive. Plus, it would be a nice change to work with someone older and perhaps learn a thing or two.

Destiny was just about to ask Evelyn to be partners when she already asked. 'Suuuure! I'll be your partner. Should I go get our plank?' Before she waited for Evelyn to answer she was up getting it.

Evelyn smiled and opened her mouth to reply, but the girl had already stood up and walked to the front of the class to get a plank. "Oh-kay." Turning in her seat again, she stared at her wand until Destiny came back.

Taking the two gloves, Mina eyed them carefully and glanced around. Seeing some of the other students pairing off, she sat back to see who hadn't partnered up before saying any thing, well at least for now.

Jack looked around and spotted Rafe and waved to him. "Sure! Take a seat," he said, beaming with delight. He remembered that crying girl who had told him that Jack was somewhat of an idol to him...hehehe. Ok, he needed to stop. No need to get a big head right now.

"I'll go get the plank thingy," he said, standing up and going up to the front of the room to collect the materials they needed. He walked back to Rafe and grinned, placing their supplies on the desk.

Destiny walked back to her desk with the plank in hand. Looking at the plank and the gloves she turned to Evelyn 'what could we be doing with these?'

"Looks like we are going to be breaking boards in half, or trying to at least."


"Sure, we can be partners." Marie said as Kay got up to get their materials. "Remember, we only need 1 plank to share." 'Wow, so she wasn't going to ask the boy from charms class, intersting. They looked like they were really hitting it off in there.' Looking around Marie noticed that Evelyn and Destiny, the only other ones she sort of knew in the class seemed to be paired up so she was glad Kay agreed to be her partner.

"I'll go get the the broad from the professor." Kay told Marie. Kay looked back at Lorcan to see want he was doing. Kay sighed a little and turn to walk up to the front of the class.

"I'm Lorcan O'Farrell, do you want to work together? Are you a Gryffindor? I'm a Hufflepuff." He was aware of the blush that was creeping up face from his neck and he stared down at the desk. A girl as pretty as her wouldn't want to work with a beetroot with hair.

Lorcan felt like he was being told off for talking, but he needed to know his partner's name. "I'll go and get the plank." he muttered, feeling like one as he shuffled off to the front of the class.

Rafe put on his gloves. "Now what exactly are we supposed to do? Whack it or something?" This didn't look like it was going to be one of the most fun lessons he would have, but he could make fun out of anything. Plus, being with Jack wouldn't be too bad. "I wonder it we'll be able to kick it," Rafe said doing some weird karate moves, which looked rather spastic, and then he started singing, "Everybody was kung-fu fighting, Those cats were fast as lightning, In fact it was a little bit frightning, For they fought with expert timing..."

Kylie looked around the room and saw a girl taking a pair of gloves. She walked up to her and said, "Hi. My name's Kylie..first year..Hufflepuff. Um, well, do you need a partner?" Kylie grabbed a pair of gloves, hoping the girl didn't have a partner she grabbed a plank as well.

Audio saw the silent first year and shrugged, hm- she couldn't be too bad. He needed a partner anyway. He pushed himself up from his chair and went over to her. "I think they might be odd numbered- mind if I work with you two also?" he offered with a crooked smile.

Kay saw Lorcan walking up to get his plank and smiled at him. "Hi, how are you? Do you have a partern?" Kay asked him softly so that the professor wouldn't hear them. "I saw you sitting by someone new." She nudged him a little. Kay slowing pick up her plank and started to turn away to go back to her spot.
