Nod, nod. The cold was making Edem sleepy. He thought he might fall asleep in a minute or so if no one had come into the classroom and sat next to him. Quote:

"Err, you could pick it up. Or you could use Wngardium Leviosa. Or you could try and blast it into the box, but that would probably kill your desk...and the peep. So i'd say no, dont do that. Err, well, wingardium leviosa. But isn't that charms?"
Lucille thought about the subject she was actually in. Transfiguration....
"Oh, I know! You can transfigure it! Into a real living peep or another being like an insect or a beetle, and then it can moves itself onto the desk! You could even put the imperious curse on it to tell it to get onto the desk once it was alive but, would it still be iligal for a transfigured object?"
She had a feeling she was rambling, and sank lower in her chair.

Arianna raised her arm to answer the professor " You could levitate it to your desk I think? It's something called windarium something..? But again, this is Transfiguration so maybe you could make one of the boxes smaller, or bigger so the wooden plank would make the peep slide down? Or maybe transfigurate the wooden plank into something flexible ...?" she suggested, getting a little confused with her own answer.

Well... he liked 'em. And he'd never seen one of those... things do cartwheels before.

Fred thought starting off class with a riddle was quite intresting and one young Slytherin girl seemed to have a rational solution in his mind but he had an idea of his own and raised his hand and said, "You could make the peep disapear and then reapear where you want it presumably on you're desk sir.".

It's basically the same thing as Wingardium Leviosa- but you have much more control of the object I find." he added, finding the concept of transfiguring and moving and doing all of those trivial steps seemed a bit unnecessary. But... this was Transfiguration class... although it still seemed silly.
