Finally, looking at her peep with great concentration, Sara said: "Duro!" The peep turned instantly into stone. Well, it wasn't pretty, but at least the spell had worked! Trying the counter curse, Sara concentrated, jabbed and said: "Flexi!" Not bad Sara thought, She'd turned half of it back into a peep! |
Abigail was about to give up on turning the peep to stone, in fact she was sick of looking at the thing. Deciding to give it one last go before leaving the class, she jabbed her wand at the marshmallow whilst concentrating and said clearly “DURO”...and the thing actually turned to stone! After all of that she’d finally managed ‘well I defiantly don’t want to eat it anymore, which is probably why’. With a quick “FLEXI” the peep turned to its natural form and after finally mastering the spell she decided to stay and try it a few more times. |

She gripped her wand and pointed it towards the feather. "Duro!" she muttered. Her voice shook, and noting happened. She narrowed her eyes and pursed her lips, angry at it. "Duro!" she said, louder this time. The feather quivered slightly and turned slightly grey. She poked it. It was not feather, and it was not stone, but somewhere inbetween. Hmmm. "Duro!" she cried, jabbing her wand a little harder. The feather turned a harder grey. She smiled. "Flexo!" she said with the same amount of force as before. The feather reverted to its feather-stone self. She muttered the incantation one more time to ensure that it was full - feather, and smiled to herself once more. |

"Congratulations." Nataly smiled at the younger girl. She was really good in Transfiguration for a first year. Sara's peep was yellow. "Marshellow!!" she couldn't restrain herself and licked her lips. She had an obsession with sweets, but she didn't eat much because there was really much fat there. "Erm...never mind." she said, embrassed. "It's my turn to turn the peep back." She aimed her wand on the peep, concentrating on diffrent kinds of sweets. "Flexi!" Her peep turned into a colorfull lolipop. "Ooops." she managed to say before she started laughing uncontrollably. |
SPOILER!!: So many quotes it's embarrasing Rafe's hysterical laughs gave it all away, Arianna was so furious she could have kicked him in that instant " You think this was funny?!" she said, ignoring his imitation of her voice " I wish the professor had heard, maybe he could take that snobby-know-it-all look from your face!" she raised her nose to the ceiling and slapped the hand he had on her shoulder, looking mad. She looked at the girls defending her, and discussing either or not, to tell the professor, and she quickly stood up for Rafe, after all.. well, she wasn't really angry " No no, there's no need for that, Rafe and I.. well, we're friends, I'll get back at him at no time, no need to .. take care of me" she said, a little sharply ending the discussion, she didn't enjoy people thinking she couldn't take care of herself, reminded her of her sisters too much. She added a awkward smile, after all she wasn't trying to be rude. She turned to Rafe with narrow eyes " And you, doggy boy" she said, refering to that day back at Diagon Alley " I'll take your advise on that reading books stuff, and I'll try them all on you!" she said poking him on the chest as she noticed him ruffling his hair. That's new.. she thought, throwing her braided hair back and pointing her wand at her, now, normal sized feather and saying " Duro!", which turned the feather into a perfect stone feather. Apparently, determination and anger made her control her wand better. |

"Well," Sara smirked at Nataly, "a lollipop is definately better for a sweet tooth than a puny peep!" Then... concentrating on on her half stone peep, Sara pointed her wand at it once again, said,"Flexi" and with a satisfied grin...ate her peep. |

Rafe looked at the bowl. "Hmm..." he took in a deep breath and completely focused, "Flexi!" he said as he jabbed the bowl and it wobbled a bit and turned back to normal. Rafe spotted a cricket in the corner, chirping away, he hated that sound. And that sparked an idea! Rafe went over and grabbed the cricket and put it under the bowl. "We could try it on this little guy!" Rafe said excitedly. "The professor says its a bit of a challenge to use live objects. Wanna try?" Quote:
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, what was that?" he pointed to Ari's shoulder, "I think a piece of ice just chipped off, that was cold!" Rafe said in reference to her "snobby-know-it-all" comment. Rafe laughed a little. Rafe loved it that Ari stood up for him. That was a sign of a true friend. And she did have a point she didn't need anyone to take care of her, she was a tough girl. "I couldn't have said it better myself!" Rafe said as he put his arm around her shoulder once more. "Us, Racketeers have to stick together!" Rafe quickly removed his arm from her shoulder as soon as she called him "doggy boy." Rafe figured she didn't mean it intentionally, how could she possibly know? But, it made him feel uncomfortable a little and frankly, upset. His whole demeanor seemed to change. He was worried about speaking cause he knew he would sound like a jerk. Sparks came from the tip of his wand. He shook his head, a bit like an animal did when they were drying off. He just needed to snap out of it. He watched as Arianna changed the feather completely to stone. "Good job Little Italy," he said a little more cheerfully. "Would you like to join me and LouAnn? We're thinking of changing a cricket to stone!" |

She aimed her wand at the feather, this time determinded to do it right. "Flexi!" Hal of the marble was still a feather, but it was better than the first time, so she was satisfied. |

Ana was distracted playing with the feather, well actually trying to tickling herself, and like everybody knows that is kinda difficult. Sunddely the teacher gave them new instruction, so she decided to try to work on the feather and quick. Ana pointed her wand and said "Duro!" nothing, it would be too much to ask this to work at the first time. "Duro!" she said again this time the feather turn hard... like a stone. "Flexi!" Ana said pointing the wand right to the feather and it turned to its original state. Time for something more consistent she said heading to the boxes. |

"And if they were able to think and stuff while they were turned into stone, would they be able to produce a unspeakable spell thingy to change themselves back?" she asked. |
Tiberius skipped to the front and grabbed a peep and, rummaging through the box of miscellany, a ball of yarn. Setting the peep on the table, Tibi paced backward from it, imagining it turning to stone. He imagined the change in appearance, texture, weight and consistency. Brandishing his wand, he gave a quick jab and cried, "Duro!" With a soft 'pop' the peep had taken on the appearance of stone. Walking over to it, Tibi picked it up and noticed that it was, indeed, like stone. Smiling, he whispered a happy 'I'm getting the hang of this!' to himself and place the peep back down. "Flexi!" And just like that, the peep was back to normal. Sticking it in his pocket for later, Tibi turned to the ball of yarn. He thought about just turning the ball as it was.. but then he thought about how it might look if he made a SHAPE with the yarn and then turned that shape to stone. Unraveling a large portion of the yarn into an abstract web of sorts, Tibi stepped back and prepared to practice the spell again. He thought about how the yarn would look as a stone abstract piece of art as he jabbed. "Duro!" Walking back over to it, Tibi scrunched his face. The effect was cool, but he didn't quite like how a few pieces were laying. Realizing he could reverse the spell and try again, he smiled. "Flexi!" Once the yarn was re-shapeable, Tibi placed it how he thought it would look better. Concentrating once more... "Duro!" There, that was amazing. Tibi frowned. He'd have to turn it back and put the yarn back in the box even though he wished he could keep it. But in the meantime, he thought he'd let it sit and enjoy a peep. Popping the marshmellow in his mouth, he wondered whether it was just his imagination or if it did taste a little like sand... |
When it came to Transfiguration, Daphne didn't really have much of an ambition. Large household items like a toaster or a blender weren't things she had any plans on practicing on. She'd start small; with a butter-knife for example. Clearing her throat, Daphne shook her wand arm before patting her cheeks for non-existent sweat. Pointing at the silverware, Daphne raised a challenging brow. "Duro." And I dare you not to turn to stone butter-knife. But it did turn to stone, and for that the blond was thankful. Not so bad. Not so bad. |

"All right, everybody," Professor Svensson clapped his hands to get the attention of the remainder of the class. "That's enough practicing. Off you go, and I'll post the homework on my bulletin board as soon as I put these desks back." The transfiguration professor shooed the students out the door and shut the door behind them. |
