"Tell the rest of who? What are you talking about?" Marie said as she stopped and looked at Lorcan again. "I just meant good luck with Kay, sounds to me like you two need luck if you are ever going to be frieinds again. Now if you don't mind, I want to go do my homework. I'll say 'hi' to you when our paths cross but I am done with trying to help you and Kay, you two are on your own now." Marie turned and walked away, she had tons of homework she needed to get done and standing in the hallway was not getting any of it done.

Lorcan was really angry now. Marie was acting like she was trying to do him a big favour, as though he's begged her to do it! "Tell every other interfering git who thinks that they can tell me what to do, that's who! You go do your homework then Marie, and leave me alone! I never asked for your help in the first place!" He roared at her, sparks shooting out of his wand and hitting the wall, leaving scorch marks.

Marie turned around just in time to see sparks flying from Lorcan's wand. She pulled her wand from it's holster and pointed it at him and shouted "EXPELLIARMUS" knocking his wand out of his hand. She then pointed her wand at his face and yelled "YOU WANNA FIGHT? I MAY BE A GIRL BUT I AM NOT AFRAID OF YOU AND YOUR WAND. IF YOU KNOW WHAT IS GOOD FOR YOU, YOU WILL TURN AROUND AND WALK AWAY NOW BEFORE YOU GET HURT AND END UP IN A BED NEXT TO KAY!!!! DON'T FORGET WHAT HOUSE I AM IN LITTLE HUFFIE, YOU BETTER WATCH YOUR BACK FROM NOW ON." Marie was furious that this boy would act the way he was acting and she was not about to let him bully her, she didn't care if she got detention, no one was going to pull their wand on her when her back was turned and get away with it.

Lorcan may have been wandless but he wan't scared of her. Her anger calmed him and when she pulled her wand and started screaming in his face he laughed. "Am I supposed to be scared of you? Just because you're a snake? Don't flatter yourself. Remember Marie, you started this by sticking your nose in where it wasn't wanted. I'm not bullying you, I'm just sticking up for myself. I was already planning to apologise to Kay, to see if we could work out a way to be civil to each other. Why in Merlin's name do you think I came here? For a check up?" Keeping his eyes on her he bent and picked up is wand. "You may have baited me in to losing my temper a bit and shooting some sparks at the wall but I'm not stupid enough to turn my back on you. I suggest you slither off where you belong or I'll report you for attacking me." He laughed again.

"Report me, I don't care, just remember, your wand was the one that went off first not mine, I was defending myself from someone who pulled their wand when my back was turned. Only a coward throws spells at someone when their back is turned. As for me helping you, NEVER, I was trying to help Kay. I came out here to talk to you, to tell you how she was feeling and you start yelling at me and shooting your wand off at me. I never once raised my voice to you or was rude to you until now. You say Kay is mental, I think you are the mental one here, not her. Maybe she would be better off not being your friend. Now run along and tell someone I attacked you before I really do attack you."
Marie continued to point her wand at Lorcan, there was no way she was going to lower her wand as long as he was standing there. She would stand there all night if she had to, she didn't care now if her homework got done. She was not about to let this crazy boy get her when her back was turned.

Siiiigh. She was buying this. Good. Very good. He didn't want to betray Ad's trust; if anyone else was to find out about her secret it would be because she wanted them to, not because of his big mouth. Though he did seem to notice that she was giving him a funny look. The fact that she didn't comment meant that she wasn't going to comment, so it was still okay if she was a little suspicious. He just gave her an innocent look.

He shuddered at her description. "They are so Emo and I don't get it." Who wanted to read a series about Emo teenagers that sparkle?

"Oh, that's neat," he replied lamely. He wasn't really sure how else to reply to that. He never met anyone that lived in a foster home before.

"True enough. But it's a list of people I'm going to beat so it's still pretty awesome."

Lorcan raised one eyebrow at her sceptically. He knew that his mocking tone was annoying her. "Oh do me a favour Marie, I accidentally shot sparks at the wall because I happened to have my wand in my hand. You were the one who attacked without warning. Trust me, if I wanted to throw spells at you, I'd make sure you were facing me! I'm not a coward, never call me that again." She wasn't lowering her wand and he did wonder how this might end. "It's lovely that you want to help Kay, but I still don't see how that gives you the right to lecture me about my behaviour. And if I'm mental, then that girl has made me mental by being so over the top and emotional. Now, don't you have homework to do?" His tone was sneering. He was totally sick of girls telling him what to do.

Maura turned a corner onto the main corridor. Rumor had it, this was the place where Harry Potter had once encountered a gigantic three-headed dog. Now, every time she walked down this corridor, it made her feel as though she was in someone else's memory.

But not today. A little ahead of her, she noticed a couple of kids standing together. Assuming that they were either enjoying a moment as friends or else a romantic couple, she resolved to move on without interfering. As she got nearer, she could see that both of them were first years - a little young for romance in her opinion, so she took another look. It quickly became apparent to her that these two were far from friends as curses started flying. A fight.

Quickly, she pushed in between them. "That's enough," she said loudly. "No magic in the corridors. Wands away, please." She felt uncomfortable issuing this much authority. She was no prefect. But she adopted the voice that she has heard her mother use often. "The two of you need to put yourselves above whatever childish nonsense has happened and you need to do it now." She stood with her arms crossed, watching the first years carefully for any sign of further violence.

Lorcan looked away from Marie towards the new bossy voice Brilliant he thought another girl who wants to tell me what to do.
"I'm just waiting for Marie to slyther off and do her homework."

'Oh great, just when I was starting to have some fun someone has to come along and ruin it for me' Marie thought as she looked at the other girl. "You're lucky someone came along to save you this time" Marie said as she slowly lowered her wand looking at the older girl with a 'thanks for ruining my fun' look. As Marie started to back away from Lorcan she said to him "See ya around huffie, I wouldn't be caught out alone if I were you, you never know what might happen."

Maura could see clearly that neither of the first years were very happy with her. (Oh, WHUTNOW!!) But she stood firm and returned the exasperated looks they both gave her icily. "I want both of you to turn around and leave now. Thank you." She looked from one to the other. It occured to her that they were both pretty short. Had she been that short when she was a first year, five years ago?

"Merlin! You are pathetic Marie. sneaky little snake. I'm not scared of you!" Lorcan called out, trying to get past the older Ravenclaw. "Stay away from me."

Lorcan looked up at the girl with disbelief. "I'm not daft enough to turn my back on her. She's already attacked me once without warning. I wouldn't rust her as far as I could throw her." Lorcan wouldn't mind if this Ravenclaw could think of a way out of it, he was too angry to. All he wanted to do was turn Marie's hair black and yellow. He knew he'd have to wait a while before he learned how to actually turn her into a badger.

Maura folded her arms. "She won't attack you now. If she does, she'll be in very deep trouble. If you're that worried about it, Hufflepuff, you could always learn to deflect spells." She grabbed his shoulder as he tried to get around her to the other first year, and held him fast. "Now, both of you turn and walk. I'll be watching and I won't let the other hurt you." Sure enough, she watched like a hawk, ready to interfere again at a moment's notice.

Lorcan curled his lip angrily at being told what to do again by yet another girl. "I know how to deflect spells but it's a bit difficult when a crazy snake disarms you without warning." He glared at Marie when the Ravenclaw said to walk way. "Ladies first." He could control the mocking tone in his voice. He suddenly thought of what his mother would say if she could see him and a familiar blush started to creep up his cheeks. He rubbed his face unconsciously, still glaring at Marie.

*Gabben walked up to the third floor covered in dirt and mud. He was digging at the wrong tree again. Why did trees have to all look so bloody alike. Turning around a little he saw that he was leaving a trail of mud.*

"Greaaaaaat."

Raven wandered up to the Third Floor Corridor, dusting off her Slytherin robes, she stopped in her tracks when she noticed someone that she hadn't seen in a few weeks. She creeped up behind him slowly, trying not to make any noise so that it would be like she was a ninja. "Well hello there.." she whispered with a slight smirk.

Wandering around the castle, Cedric found himself walking on a deserted corridor. As he passed rooms and some people, he saw someone standing there. A man, a grown-up man probably. He headed to the unknown man, wondering why he's alone. He had reached the man and found out that it was Gabben. Ooh, Gabben, jerking around again.

"Hey Gabben." mumbled Cedric clamorously, It's been weeks since they talk.

"What-Woah!" *He first heard someone down the hall call his name and then someone whispered a hello in his ear. Slipping on the mud Gabben fell and hit his head on the floor. Once the room stopped spinning he saw Raven and Cedric.*

"Hey you lot..."

"It's been a little while, so how are you?" Raven said then straightened out her skirt and fixed her tie. She noticed that Cedric had popped out of nowhere and she wasn't really impressed that he was around when she wanted to talk to Gabben, she held out her hand so that he could get up off the ground even though he was a tad muddy.

*Gabben waved off her hand and pulled himself rubbing his head. He smirked down at her. Last thing he heard she was leaving school. But here she was right in front of him.*

"Umm hello... how are you?"

Gabben then turned to Cedric with a big smile and patted his back. He had grown up a lot sence he had seen him last.*

"Well hello Mr. popular. Whats this I hear about you being a Chaser?"

Raven rolled her eyes slightly and put her hands back behind her back, she wondered why he didn't take her hand when she offered it. "I'm good, I found out that I won't be leaving after all except for this summer when I'm going off to spend some time at my summer house in Sydney, Australia." she said, twirling some of her brown hair around a couple of her fingers.

"Wicked! I've never been there. And even better your staying!"

*His tummy did a few back flips when he heard she was staying but that made him wonder...*

"Hey Ced I'll meet you down at the great hall for lunch. Save me a seat ok?"

*He gave Cedric a little wink and then turned back to raven with a smile again.*

"So... ummm... you want to go for a walk or something?"

"Well, if you'd like to come, you're more than welcome. I'm having a big party there anyways." Raven said with a slight smile as she continued to twirl her brown hair around some of her fingers. She smirked slightly when Gabben told Cedric that he'd meet him down at the Great Hall.

"Umm, sure. I've got nothing better to do anyways."

"To the lake then?" *He was about to take her hand but thought better of it. He had no idea where they stood anymore. Giving a last wave to Cedric he stared walking with Raven to the lake.*

Walking along the corridor with a big smile on her face, Brody twisted a strand of curly blonde hair around her finger. She was feeling happy today, much happier than she'd been feeling over the last few days. Although there was one person she really wanted to see. She'd already thanked Miles for making her feel better, and there was just one last amazing person that had helped her so much. But she hadn't seen him for ages!
