Lexi slopped butterbeer on his sleeve. He looked up, frowning at her. "What do I want to get into?" He finally cracked a smile. "Trouble, Lexi Kennedy style of course." he took a sip from his drink, grateful for the warm feeling that it gave him. "Thanks for the drink Lexi."

Lexi smiled brightly and said, "I am not sure if I feel troublesome today... We will have to see how things turn out." She gave him a cheeky little wink and giggled.

Taking another sip of her own butterbeer she said,"It's my pleasure, Lorcan. I like to do things for my firends."

Lexi had given him a cheeky smile and he liked the way her eyes sparkled. "Oh well, in that case we'll have to see what happens. The most ordinary days seem to change around you." He had a cheeky grin to match her own.

"Well, in that case I'm glad that we're friends, cos I like doing stuff like that." He realised that he was babbling slightly and blushed, predictably.

Lexi began to hum again... she always does that! She was smiling at Lorcan and stopped humming for a moment and said, "Days do tend to get more interesting when I am around, don't they." She giggled and started humming again.

Reaching across the table Lexi grabbed Lorcan's hand and gave it a little squeeze before stopping humming and saying, "I am glad we are friends too, Nemean." Releasing his hand she ran her own hand through her long blonde locks and resumed the tune again.

Lorcan noticed that she was humming again. It was a sweet little habit really. "You can have that effect on things!" He nudged her.

Lorcan's skin tingled when when Lexi squeezed his hand and his blush deepened. Well, that's nothing to do with the cold, he thought cos we've both got warm hands. I wonder if that happens for her too. Probably not. The boy who looked so much like a lion, with the fierce temper to match, was so unsure about this girl. All that he knew was that without her, Hogwarts would be pointless. He reached out to take her hand, Something that he'd done a hundred times before an suddenly lost his nerve. he jerked his hand back to his butterbeer. He couldn't look at her all of a sudden and he didn't know what to say.

He allowed himself to be dragged along, but only because he was caught in a daze by the fact that she was touching him voluntarily and had actually agreed to have a drink with him. If he was a girl, he would have let out a squeal, but as it were, he simply grinned stupidly at the back of her beautiful head.

As they stepped into the crowded tavern, he was reminded of the time he'd walked into Madam Puddifoots with Lyra Noir last term. It had been... so awesome, but he understood now that there was no way they could have ever proceeded with their relationship. Considering she could have been sent to Azkaban for it.

"Wotchoo 'avin, Luvvy?" he asked as they headed to the bar to order, "I fink I'll go for the 'ot chocolate meself."

Lexi simply smiled and shook her head. She wasn't sure why things were more interesting when she was around. Really it just happened.

She noticed Lorcan reach toward her and then shove his hands in his pockets... Hmmmmm...

"Well, Are you looking forward to any class in particular?" she asked

"Huh?" He was shocked by her question, he thought that perhaps she had been talking to him and he had missed something. "I'm looking forward to potions. Any shop that can sell stuff that smells that bad, well it's got to be interesting hasn't it?" He wasn't sure that he was making sense. He was still thinking about how his hand had felt in hers. his face felt like it was on fire. Was he blushing? Oh yes!

Lexi chuckled quietly then said, "I think Potions will certainly be interesting. I can't wait to learn how to brew crazy stuff." She let her mind wander to different draughts and potions. She started to twirl a little strand of hair around her finger in very Luna Lovegood fashion.

Lorcan watched as Lexi twirl a strand of hair around her finger. He thought again how great she was and how lucky he was to have her as a friend.

"Are potions like medicines in the muggle world? do they cure people who are ill?" Lorcan was interested in potions. "Will you work with me?" He asked shyly.

Nate walked in hand and hand with Kylie. They walked to a booth in the back corner and sat down. "What do you want? I'll go get it for you." he said with a smile. He was cold from the snowball she had thrown at her. He bended over trying to catch his breath. "Your a fast one."

"Potions can be used in a number of ways, but yes they can cure people from certain ailments." she said with a little smile. SHe took a deep breath and pretended to consider his request for a moment and then answered, "Of course I will work with you, Lorcan. THat was a silly question." Her smile spread across her face and she continued to twirl her hair.

Lorcan frowned. "Well, what else do they do then? Can you brew potions to, I don't know, make people honest?" That would be dangerous in Lorcan's opinion. To have something that could make you tell all your secrets.

Lorcan felt uncomfortable as Lexi seemed to have to think about if she would work with him and then he flushed again, prickled with anger this time because she was teasing him. "Well I just thought that you might want to work with some of your Gryff friends, that's all." he replied gruffly, taking a sip from his butterbeer.

Once upon reaching the door of the Three Broomsticks, Livvy swiftly opened the door and closed it behind them, immediately feeling ten times warmer than she had been just moments before. She glanced around, observing all the other students that were sitting in the tavern, chatting amongst themselves. She had forgotten how it was like to sit in the tavern. It had been too long. Here she was for the first time in two years, along with Garret.

Livvy smiled sweetly at Garret as her hand remained on his arm and she led him towards the bar. Mmmm... what was she going to get? "Uhhh... something warm," she said, smiling cheekily as she thought for a moment. "Ooh! Hot chocolate! I haven't had that in ages... sounds good." Her eyes sparkled as she said this, remembering the last time she had some hot chocolate. A looooonnng time ago.

“Oh right,” Whit said. She hadn't thought about THAT, she was still too caught up in the whole “going to Australia” thing.

Whit happily took the ring from Raven, making sure she was holding on tight; it would be horrible if she lost it. “Aw, that's so sweet!” She had always wanted a ring, she had actually owned a couple, once, but somehow they always disappeared. Putting it up to her eye to get a better look, she added, “It's suuuuuper pretty.”

Kylie laughed. She swiped the hair that had fallen out of her ponytail out of her face. "Oh. A butterbeer would be nice.. but you don't have to get it for me.." She said tentatively. This is a first. She thought to herself, though her looks had always been a classic idea of 'pretty', boys had never really taken interest in her before. They'd certainly never been this kind to her before.
"Back home I used to run a lot, it gave me something to do." Other than practice and learn magic at my grandmothers. She thought to herself, although she enjoyed the weekends at her grandmothers, running was something that kept her steady. Something to rely on.

"I think there is a truth serum, yes. I do believe you can brew nearly any kind of potion. I don't know anything about brewing them, but I know there are all kinds of fun potions and some dangerous ones too."; she answered.

"Oho! Some of my Gryff friends, eh. None of my Gryff friends help me blow things up, not they wouldn't, I guess. " she said with an evil little smirk. "Quit being so sensitive, Nemean. I had no intention on being with anyone besides you." she said and then realizing how weird that sounded she said, "I-I I m-mean i-in the the the classes and all." She picked up her mug and took a deep swallow turning a slight shade of pink.

GARH she was so pretty!!!

It took all his willpower to not pull her close and... and... whatever it was guys did to girls who made their stomachs feel all heavy but fluttery and their insides all twisty and their cheeks all PINK. He just nodded, "Okay!" a little too excitedly, "'ot chocolate it is!"

He held his hand up to get the bartender's attention so he could get the hot chocolate and just whisk Livvy away to a table for TWO. Just the two of them. In a pub where aaaaaalll the Hogwarts students would be able to see.

Everyone would know that Livvy liked him back. OH YEAH.

Raven took another sip from her butterbeer as Whit looked over her ring, she hoped the girl didn't drop it or anything because the ring had been her grandmother's for 40 years and she would not be happy if it got damaged or lost. "Thanks, I've been taking good care of it because my grandmother wouldn't have been happy to find out that its destroyed." she commented then tapped her fingers on the table.

What a happiful day.

Livvy had seen one of her friends that hadn't seen for almost a year and he looked as great as ever. Hadn't lost his good looks and sense of humor. Though she felt a bit different around him than she had, the last time they saw each other. She wasn't exactly the expert in the whooolllee... "ilaikyou, youlaikme" thing. The last time Livvy had wrapped herself in that sort of drama wound up hurting two other people.

Well... actually... maybe it had just been her imagination. Livvy wasn't too sure whether or not Chase and Whit had actually known about Livvy's feelings for Chase. But THAAATT was over with. Chase had left Hogwarts unexpectedly, Whit was never around, and well... there was Garret.

Mm. What about Garret? She couldn't help but wonder if the boy already had a girl. Maybe it was that Daphne girl. Livvy remembered her asking about Garret at the Healer Helper Auditions. The girl didn't really seem to like Livvy much though, in her opinion. But Livvy thought of her as a rather nice girl, even though all she did was ask about Garret. She felt a twinge of jealousy in her gut, which she deliberately pushed away. Why should she be jealous?

But Livvy's eyes drifted back to Garret's cuteso freckled face. She grinned and clapped her hand. "Yay! Hot chocolate!" she cheered. She felt like a child again. Garret always seemed to have that sort of effect on her.

When the bartender came over, she smiled and ordered their hot chocolate. "Two hot chocolates pleeeaasse."

So there was a truth potion. Lorcan made a mental note to find out more about that one and how to avoid it. "It sounds fun. Did you go to the apothecary? I wonder if the classroom will stink like that place does."

"Oh I see, you're only my friend because I'm just as likely as you are to blow things to kingdom come. Well, I suppose there had to be some reason." He meant it as a joke but thought that it might have sounded grumpy again.

When she said that she didn't want to be with anyone else but him he gagged on his mouthful of butterbeer, causing some of it to be forced up his nose. Coughing deeply he heard her say something about being with him in lessons. He saw that she was blushing. "Yeah, lessons, of course. Lessons. Obviously." He took a sip of butterbeer and realised that his bottle was empty. "Another drink?" He stood up and walked to the bar without waiting for her answer.

Alexandra Kennedy, you are an idiot! she yelled at herself in her mind! As Lorcan walked off to get them more butterbeer she actually let her head slam down on the table. Merlin's beard that was a stupid thing to insinuate. She sat there, head on the table, waiting for him to return.

At the bar, Lorcan managed to calm down. She was just talking about lessons, that's all, What else could she possibly mean? I mean she did kiss me but that didn't mean anything, did it?

He walked back to the table, noticing that she had her head on the table. He gently put the drinks down. "There you go. One butterbeer." He sat down, looking at her, trying to work out what she was thinking.

Lifting her head from the table she put on a plastic smile and said, "Thanks Nemean" She mentally shook herself and got back to her senses.

"Well, what about you Lorcan. How many other girls are cat fighting hoping that you'll work with them?" she teased.

"You're welcome Lexi." he said softly.

"Huh." he huffed, "The only girl who's interested in me is interested in pushing me face first in dung. I'm going to get that little cow. She's cost me a fortune today. Besides, the only nutter I'm interested in-in-in w-w-working with is you." he stuttered the end of his sentence, feeling exposed and wrong footed. What on earth is wrong with you? he thought to himself. He took a large gulp of butterbeer and choked on it again, spluttering and spraying it everywhere.
