Abby smiles. She calms down. "Hello, what you doing up here?" Abby walks closer to LouAnn. She also casually lowers her wand out of her holster. It slides into her right hand.

Before she had time to speak, LouAnn happened to glance down to notice Abby slide her wand out of her holster. Was the girl...about to draw on her? Surely not, as she'd have no reason to, right? LouAnn's smile slowly faded, but she answered Abby's question nevertheless. "I'm just taking a casual stroll, that's all," she answered, her voice small and shaky. She eyed the wand again, noticing how Abby kept it in her hand as if she was ready to cast. "Abby, why have you drawn your wand?"

"No particular reason. Can't be too careful you know. I'm sure Professor Lawson wishes he had his wand. Do you know the teacher's wands are disappearing on their own? I'm sure you already know that." Abby walks closer to LouAnn. I don't know if I can do this. I don't want to hurt her. I just want things to stop. Abby stops and tries to relax. Her mind is racing.

LouAnn froze in place, eying Abby with a rather suspicious look. The girl was up to something, and quite frankly, it frightened LouAnn. She neither said nor did anything as Abby told of the missing wands. A few seconds later, though, when Abby finally stepped just a little too close, LouAnn stepped backward then drew her own wand. She was really frightened now, as the drawing of Abby's wand brought back the realization that LouAnn was being hunted by Kazimeriz. Surely this wasn't a 'Dead or Alive' deal, was it?

"Back off!" she blurted out, speaking out of fear rather than anger. A moment later, though, something...she couldn't explain what...flashed through her, and she yelled out in agony before glaring at Abby with fierce, wild eyes. She was in and out of blackness, and she knew enough to start being afraid for Abby.

"Abby! Leave! Now!" she said, urging the girl to get away before what LouAnn had dreamt about...what she'd gathered all on her own...became another reality. "NOW!!!" Through steadily falling tears, LouAnn gave Abby a pleading look, but then she blacked out again and screamed across the corridor.

Abby stopped when LouAnn starts yelling at her. For one moment she considers doing what LouAnn wants. Then Lawson's face flashes before her. "I can't do that LouAnn. I'm sorry. I really don't want to hurt you, but things have gone too far." Abby raises her wand and points it at LouAnn's robe pocket. "Accio, POUCH!" No need to be quiet. Abby holds out her left hand waiting for the pouch to fly into her hand.

...and now, unfortunately for the Hufflepuff girl, she'd now gone too far. The force deep down inside LouAnn pushed its way out, causing the girl to cry even harder and yell out even louder. "Stop it! Stop it now!" she yelled to it, begging it to go away and leave her alone. "Leave me! Please! Stoppp...."

Her voice drowned out, though, as the higher being took over, and once against LouAnn lost herself to it. She flung herself to the ground in a half-attempt to fight it away, but it was, of course, a losing battle. In the end, the force took over, and the tiny five-foot-tall Gryffindor grew mightier than she was capable of. Her hand grasped at her pocket, forcing the bag of stones to stay right where they were. A deep growl escaped her, and she glared at Abby with pure evil in her eyes...just before raising her wand.

The voice coming from the girl's mouth was no longer her own, but that of someone else using her as only a vessel. As a force caused her to wave her wand in movements she had yet to be taught, the girl cried out a spell that blocked any others in the corridor from hearing or seeing either girl. This spell was the same that had beed casted the night the Hufflepuff boy met his final fate.

Abby watches LouAnn as she changes. If she had any common sense, she would run as fast as she can away from here, but Abby stands her ground. "Jake shouldn't have hurt Professor Lawson. He knows nothing about you and your rocks. I'm the only threat to you."

"You're no threat. You're just a pathetic little schoolgirl," she growled, crawling towards Abby with an even more evil look in her eyes. She pushed herself off the ground, tilted her head sideways just a little, then smiled sweetly at Abby. "Such a shame, such a shame. You know, Abby, one would have thought by now you'd have kept your nose where it belonged---out of my business. You were doing so well, too. Such a smart girl...picking up on things the others seem to have overlooked."

"You know, Abby. Bad people do good things, and good people do bad things, and sometimes that makes it hard to tell who is bad and who is good," she continued, speaking to her in the same way she'd spoken to Kyle. As she said that, she pulled a rune out of her bag, slipping it safety into her wand hand along with her wand. "So how about a solo performance from myself, Abby? Would you like a solo performance? Kyle got a duet, but I think you deserve a solo."

"Goodbye, little Huffy-puffies!" she called out, her voice sounding oddly like a witch in a muggle movie. With a simple wave of her wand, she called out the words that would become the last Abby Wright would ever hear. A flash of green light and...

"Avada Kedavra!"

...and just like that, another one bit the dust.Without the girl even having to wave her wand again, the spell causing the sites and sounds to be blocked from any others lifted, revealing only...another dead body.

Just before the spell lifted, LouAnn Purple dashed from the area, leaving behind no evidence that she'd ever even been there at all. She ran as fast as she could down the corridor and into a shadowy corner. A small percentage of her was aware of what had just happened, and she hated---simply hated---herself for it. The larger percentage, though, the one that was being controlled by someone else, had stepped just a little closer to the goal that had been set some time ago.

Abby watches the green light get closer and closer to her almost in slow motion. Then it hits her in the chest. Her limp body flys back landing against a suit of armor. Her blank eyes looking at nothing.

Jack had lost that stupid frog of his again. He felt bad for thinking his pet was STUPID but, he was angry! An escape artist was a more appropriate title, he decided. Yes, Jupiter was an escape artist who escaped a LOT and managed to get all over the whole school.

"Jupiter? Where are youuuuuuu?" Jack asked, turing the corner and walking by the tapestry he passed quite often. As he looked on the floor, however, he saw someone was lying on the floor in front of him...who took a nap in the middle of a corridor?

After further inspection, he saw that the girl who was lying there was a 7th year, Abby if he recalled her name correctly...and she wasn't asleep.

Oh. My. Merlin.

Jack froze. Wha--what was he supposed to do?!? There was no mistaking that blank look on her face...the girl was DEAD. Just...DEAD.

"HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!" Jack cried. It was the first thing that popped into his head. What else was he supposed to do? Just LEAVE her here!? He could feel a full on panic attack coming on!

Captain's training did NOT TRAIN YOU FOR THESE KIND OF SITUATIONS!

Rafe was getting behind in homework again and needed to go to the library.

"Are you okay Jack?" Rafe came rushing over. "I mean I know Slytherin looks tough, but I'm sure we'll--"

"Is that another--?!?!" Rafe looked at Jack. This was the third body Rafe had encountered in less than a year. It was like the grim was associated with him or something.

"What happened Jack!?! Who did this?!?"

Jack looked up...YESSSS! SOMEONE HAD COME TO HELP! He turned around as Rafe walked into the corridor, thinking that he had wailing about Quidditch. This was one of the few moments that Quidditch was farrrrrrrrr from his mind. Far FAR from it.

"I--I don't know!" Jack exclaimed. He was panicking, his asthma was starting to act up like crazy, making his words come out all weezed and broken up. "I was just--just looking for--for my frog, and I found--found her bo--"

Jack stopped and fumbled in his robes, pulling out his inhaler. He needed to calm down but, HOW COULD YOU CALM DOWN after you FOUND A BODY?!

After he used his inhaler, he tried to stop himself from shaking and stood up. "We need to get a professor!" he exclaimed, wildly pacing the corridor in panic. He could hardly look at the girl anymore...the look in her eyes was just plain creepyyyy. He didn't like looking at dead bodies. Not at ALL.

"Jack calm down and pull yourself together!" Rafe was shaking Jack by the shoulders. This was totally unexpected coming from his hero. Rafe looked at the body, she certainly looked dead almost peaceful like, but her eyes were looking at nothing, just staring blankly at the ceiling.

Rafe bent down to check for a pulse, hoping that the girl before him was merely stunned or petrified. He place two fingers beneath her chin. Her skin was slightly cold to the touch and nothing. No beat whatsoever.

"This makes number two," Rafe said under his breath. He stood back up and looked at Jack. "And you didn't see anyone leave? Anything at all?" Rafe was trying to remain as calm as possible. It seemed like dead bodies was something he was becoming accustomed to seeing ever since he got accepted to Hogwarts.

"Can you send one of those Patronus thingies to get a professor?" Rafe suggested. "I don't think we should just leave her here." Rafe looked around it was just Rafe and Jack. This was something that shouldn't be seen.

"Accio Rafe's Blanket!" he shouted with his wand drawn and after a few moments his blanket from his room came soaring through the air and he laid it over the body.

Screaming. Evolette McKenna heard screaming. Tuggling along her books, she made her way towards the voice. So much for studying. Someone was in trouble, and of COURSE, being Head Girl, she couldnt just walk away.

Duh.

"What on EARTH has gotten into you, Jack Fritzera?" She asked, dropping her books on the ground and placing her hands on her hips.

She had to be blind. Had to be. Because she did not see a body, until about 5 seconds later.

"....Oh." she added. Well. THAT was why he was shouting.

Fine. She was going to find a Professor. "Stop shouting." She added, with a calm voice, "And stay here, I'll be back."

"I didn't see anyone," Jack said sadly, shaking his head as he slowly started to calm down. Now that the body was covered, it was a lot less stressful being there in that hallway. "For a second I thought I heard a scream but it just STOPPED really suddenly. A few minutes later, I wandered upon her here and started yelling and then, you showed up."

Someone else was coming down the corridor. EEEP! Someone else on the scene? They didn't need anyone else panicking over the body. He turned around and saw that, to his surprise, it was Evolette McKenna. SHE was Head Girl. SHE COULD HELP!

Throwing aside any previous fear he had had of the Head Girl, he turned to her and blushed. "I--I'm sorry for screaming," he said, turning back at the body and biting his lip. "I--I panicked!" he told her with a frown. He smiled slightly when she said she was going to find a professor--that left Jack and Rafe free to stay there with the body. He would NOT leave the girl here until she was taken someplace safe. It just didn't seem right.

Rafe watched as the Slytherin head girl came and gone. It would be interesting to see who she would bring back. Last time it was Lawson, but the latest rumor with him was that he was attacked.

Rafe adjusted the blanket he laid on the body to cover her more properly. "This is so odd," Rafe looked around and there appeared to be no one there...not even Jake.

Rafe leaned against the wall. "Did you know her?" Rafe asked sympathetically.

Rafe shook his head. He didn't understand it. "Both Hufflepuffs...both looked older, if not the same age..." Rafe whispered. "Were they connected?" Rafe began to pace back and forth. He was thinking out loud. "What if this is a message someone is trying to send? Forrester...two bodies...Avada Kadavra obviously..." Rafe looked at the ceiling and then back at the floor, continuing to pace. "What if they shut down...no they would never..."

Rafe couldn't think straight he was practically talking to himself. He wanted a professor to arrive.

With a Professor in tow, Evolette made her way back to the Tapestry/scene of the crime, and pointed mutely at the body, which was now covered by a blanket.

Well, someone would not be wanting that back, she hoped.

"Jack found her." she added. That was all she knew. Everything. She walked in, saw Jack in hysterics, saw the body, told him to stop screaming and then she found a professor.

Now he would take over, riiiight? Heh.

Oh look. Dead body covered by a blanket and a boy who looked like he was ready to have a heart attack any second.

"Is that all you saw, Jack," Neo asked, walking over to the body and pulling back the blanket to see who it was. Another student - Abby Wright. Another hufflepuff. This would NOT please Shackleton in the slightest. "Did you notice anybody lingering about? Running away? Any abnormalities at all?"

Raiden was on his way back downstairs, having been hiding in an empty room a few floors up after the whole Quidditch debacle, when he'd heard... screaming. Rather loud screaming, too. Sighing, staring at the prefect badge on his chest that meant he was supposed to do something about screaming, he had headed toward what he thought was the source...

...and found two Gryffindors. With a... oh Merlin.

"J-Jack?" He asked faintly, standing about ten feet away from them, his eyes locked on the blanketed body. "What exactly's... going on?"

...oh good. Miss Evolette was there. That surely meant that... things weren't... He looked at the older girl, biting his bottom lip as he avoided setting eyes on the... person. On the floor. And Mr. Masterson was there too. That was... yay. Raiden took a few steps farther away from the...person.

The last thing Dominic would have expected when coming from the Prefect's Bathroom would have been to hear screaming. But as Head Boy, he HAD a duty to investigate, which is exactly what the seventeen year old did as he wandered along the fourth floor corridor towards the source of the noise.

Upon arriving at the tapestry, he blinked as he noticed several things; first being that it was TWO Gryffindor boys standing around - one being their captain - and second, the head girl had just dashed off somewhere.

And third, there was a dead Hufflepuff on the ground. DEAD. Hufflepuff. Abigail. About to graduate in just four months and now when so close, she would NEVER get to finish. Poor dear.

And the only ones around were Jack and another boy. Conveniently in a house that was formerly behind them in house points, but seems to have pulled ahead. Plot against his house? Seems like it.

"Someone PLEASE explain to me what in the name of canaries just happened?" And please don't kill me because I'm a Hufflepuff, he thought, gripping his wand out of instinct.

Rafe was still pacing, not noticing Evolette, or that she returned with Masterson. Or that a crowd seemed to be forming.

"What if its not a student? Shadow...muffliato charm...no witnesses...," Rafe contined to ramble staring at the ground. He looked like someone that could have escaped St. Mungo's. "What about Jake? But Jack didn't see anything...was an accident...what are the connections...the same day as...why did I..."

Rafe was so confused and worried. How could this happen at Hogwarts? Why wasn't this prevented?!

Oh my. In a matter of a few seconds, it seemed like a number of people have seemed to gather around him and Rafe. Thankfully Evolette had returned, and she had the groundskeeper with him. He blushed...everyone wanted to know what was going on, and for some reason thought HE had all the answers. All he did was find the body. And then go into an asthma attack.

"I stumbled upon her while I was trying to find my frog," Jack explained, looking at Masterson, but talking loud enough so that the Raiden and Dom, who had joined the little crowd, could hear too. "I thought I had heard a yell a few moments before I found her, but it had stopped very abruptly. I turned the corner a few minutes later and found her on the ground, but I didn't see anyone leaving the scene. They could have been gone for ages for all I know," he said softly.

He didn't know EXACTLY what had happened with that other Hufflepuff kid but--the two murders DID seem connected, didn't they? "Do you think the same person who killed that other Hufflepuff boy got Abby too?" he asked Masterson.
