Kazimeriz's eyebrow rose at the mention of Kajsa. He opened his mouth to comment, but snapped it back shut as he heard the chimes of the distant, giant Hogwarts clock ring out.
"Alas, I fear that the hour has grown too late for their follow up number... for now." he told Max privately.
He shuffled back up to the podium just as the final dulcet tones of the boys' singing-- if one could call it that -- rang out through the hall. He observed the student reactions. There were quite a few people looking amused or appalled, and of course many Slytherins had expressions that showed they thoroughly enjoyed the moment of schadenfraude. The owl's wings spread open as he took the orator's position again.
"Alas, it seems that the boys have not earned your approval! What a pity. Nevertheless, the hour grows late. So, on this note, we once again welcome our new students to Hogwarts, and welcome our returning students back to what he hope has become your second home. You may all finish your meals and retire to your common rooms. First years, follow your prefects. Let us all look forward to a productive, safe and educational term!" he clapped twice, restoring the candles to full brightness.
Kazimeriz shuffled back from the podium to the table, muttering as he passed the boys.
"You will both go with Professor Vindictus and Professor Lawson. They will take care of you." he said in a menacing tone. he glanced at Lawson and Vindictus.
Putting on a happier expression, he returned to the table. The new arrival was a familiar face there that he had yet to greet.
"Miss Sophie Melita, what a pleasure to see you, and looking so well!" he greeted her warmly.
