As you wander down the Hallways you notice a new door along the Eastern wall. Was it there last term? Quite possibly....as you approach the door you see a notice attached which reads: Attention All Students!
This is the Staff Room. Under no circumstance should a student pass through this door. Any student caught on the other side will be sent to detention immediately, no questions asked! Continous violations could result in suspention!
Being a curious student you try the door knob....locked! Well, better not try again or risk detention.... | |

Pepe finally got his mouth to snap shut while the conversation between the two of them buzzed in his ears. He barely heard anything they said aside from short engagement, Valentine's, honeymoon, and grandchildren. And then Kazi turned to him and he had to fight the urge to reach for his wand. He cleared his throat, thinking he really needed to clear this up, "Sir?"

He opened his mouth to say something, thought better of it and shut his mouth to let his brain kick in (Gryffindor, he wasn't). "With all due respect, Professor, I believe that decision is up to Alessia and myself. She's old enough to make her own choices. I find it a bit insulting that you don't think I've been honorable," Pepe said, unable to fully contain his ranting thoughts on the matter.

"And given that I have been candid with you about my deep concern for Alessia's well being, I find it insulting that you have been secretly dating my goddaughter. For two years, no less... all the while allowing me to worry over her interactions with Lawson and Truebridge, and what that might mean for her reputation and her safety. Your deceit wounds me, Reynard." Kazimeriz levelled his eyes with Reynard, his speech clipped and his face barely containing not sorrow or hurt but rather fury. His hand, still in his pocket from when he put away his flask, was tightly gripping the hilt of his wand.
He took a step toward the younger man. "I am neither foolish nor naive, Reynard. Nor am I blind to the facts. I recognize that Alessia tends to give away freely that which a true lady keeps well guarded-- that is to say, her heart. So it often is with female lycanthropes, for their options are so limited. And you-- knowing her situation, you have taken advantage of her. Therefore, you will be making an honest woman of her. You share her affliction. The match is sensible, even pragmatic -- and it is the only acceptable course of action."

"Okay," Pepe said taking a deep breath, his inner nerd wishing he had a whiteboard and dry-erase markers handy. "I think I see where the problem is and that's because you are missing some information. First, I am not dating Less. We are friends and I've been very clear with her that that's all I want from her, friendship and I made absolutely sure she was okay with that before pursuing anything at all. Second, I am not taking advantage of her. I happen to be on very good terms with several witches at the moment. There's no need to take advantage of her," he said, though clearly that was going to be the wrong thing to have said. His brain seemed to have detached itself from his mouth at the insults being slung at him. "I never deceived anyone... when it comes to Less."

In a blink, the old wizard had closed the space between them. "You deceived me!" he hissed. "You know that I have been concerned about Alessia and the attention Lawson has been bestowing on her. All the while, she has been with you and you never. gave. any indication... at--"
He stopped, raising an eyebrow. "Several witches?" he said, narrowing his eyes. While he had been busy guarding against the obvious dangers of Truebridge and Lawson, this apparent (were)wolf in sheep's clothing had slipped right past him. His hand tightened around his wand further, his control slipping.
"Now, you listen to me, Reynard." Kazimeriz growled, his eyes ablaze. "You will marry Alessia Lupa on Valentine's Day weekend. I am a pragmatic man. It serves the situation; and serves the greater goal. I do not particularly care if you are a good husband. I do not care if you are a faithful husband, or if you even love her. But you will marry Alessia Lupa, and you will make it clear to all that you do this of your own free will." The wand twitched in his pocket.

Pepe blinked and then his facial features bunched up in slight confusion before smoothing out again. He sighed and took off his glasses so he could wipe his eyes with the back of his sleeve. "I know you've been concerned about Lawson but there isn't anything more to Less and me than I've already shared with you except perhaps that our friendship is very close. I will make a more than GOOD husband and I'll be faithful and I'll make darned sure she knows I'm asking her of my own free will," the headmaster replied to the potions master and then looked a bit confused again before putting his glasses back on and his hands on his hips, glaring at Kazimeriz to deny the truth of his words.

'Headmaster'." he said, extending the hand not in his pocket to shake with the man, obviously quite pleased, though the sinister smirk remained.

He shook Pepe's hand firmly, the business transaction sealed.
"There is a ring... a family heirloom, which you may give to her. I will see that you have it by end of day." He nodded once definitively. "It will be good to know that Alessia will be in under your care and keeping, as her husband. She needs a firm hand. I am confident you will provide this for her." He nodded once. "Good day to you, Reynard. And congratulations. I am certain it will be a memorable union." He headed out the door, pausing to nod to Alessia.
She would make a lovely bride. He would have to check St. Valentine's Day against the lunar calendar, though. The devil was in the details, after all.

Alessia sank into one of the chairs... what had transpired here!!! Why couldn't she be an animagus? She'd have turned into something small and unnoticeable... no she wouldn't have. Papa Valon had asked her to stay out... she would have stayed out... besides, with her luck, her animagus form would be a killer whale... a werewolf animagus... the mere thought of it made her laugh... hmmm she suddenly had an urge to go find Iliana, so she left the room in search of her friend.

With a crinkling sound Kapoor entered the staff room. Leroy was in a foul mood again and he wasn't about to take his break trapped in a tower with an emo fwooper. Not again.
The rotund elder wizard reached into his robes and produced what had been making the crinkling sound; a small bag of pink coconut ice and a dark velvet pouch which carried a tarot deck almost as old as he was.
