Matheu was able to hear the message from the door. He took a seat on the bench.

"No dear, you are safe." She said, "trust me on that. We have a great headmaster and he won't let anything happen to the students. Now if you don't have anymore questions I have other students who are waiting to see me."

Well apparently that's all I'm getting. Kylie thought to herself.
"Yes, that's all Professor. Thank you so much." She meant it. Maybe the Professor really was telling her everything she knew. It was possible. Kylie did a slight curtsey and turned to walk out of the office. She turned once more to thank Professor Lupa once more, and left.

What a nice girl... she thought to herself.

"Next!" She said opening the door.

Matheu walked into Professor Lupa's office with his textbook in hand.
"Professor, if you wouldn't mind, could you explain to me the Rowling Alphabet, just briefly? I have read the section a few times, but there is something about it that is not clicking very well."

"What isn't clear?" She asked.

Luna had a question in her mind for a long time she tried to clear it for her self-but couldn't so she thought to ask Professor Lupa to help her out. "Professor Could you explain me this term 'Salamander' if it means Love than how is it that it also means Fire, could you please explain me this, I tried for myself but couldn't understand". She asked hoping she wouldn’t shout at her.

"I think it's how to interpret," Matheu said. He was decent are reading and memorizing symbols, but he didn't quite understand how past, present, and future was dealt with the Runes. He was excellent at reading them, but that's fairly it.

"Well my dear," she said, "Interpretation is different for each reader. Let's see. If the question is, will I have a boyfriend this year, and you drew a demiguise or a unicorn that would mean alone... no boyfriend... if you drew 2 the Graphorn, then yes, there is a boyfriend... if anything else was drawn, I would think there wouldn't need to be any boyfriend, because I'm filled with friends!" It was simple... wasn't it? "But the deadline for the homework is passed."

"Demiguise and unicorn means, in the sense of your example, alone because demiguise means 0 and unicorn means 1, right?" Okay, that was pretty simple. "And anything above 2, graphon, then would be useless. And, I knew the homework was passed, but I wouldn't feel comfortable coming in not knowing how to read the Runes correctly." Even if he was reading an advance text. "Can you explain to me the past, present, and future?"

Alessia looked at the boy. "Master Rihverr, they would not be useless... in class we came up with meanings for each rune. Once you have thought up a question, you draw your first rune. You focus on that rune, and you think of the events that have led up to the issue your question is about. That's the past. Then, draw a second rune, and while focusing on it, consider how things are now regarding the question you asked. Finally, the third rune. Focus on what the possible future outcome will be." She explained.

"Sorry," Matheu said, politely. "That makes a lot more sense. Thank you, Professor."

"Professor Could you explain me this term 'Salamander' if it means Love than how is it that it also means Fire, could you please explain me this, I tryed for myself but couldn't understand". She asked hoping she wouldn’t shout at her.

"No need for apologies, my dear... I'm glad I was able to help." She said. "Now... if you don't mind," she escorted the student out, "there are others who wish to see me. Bye."

Alessia gave a yelp and turned grasping her collar. "Merlin in a Nightshirt!" she exclaimed and then tried to catch her breath. "I hadn't seen you there, Miss Smith, next time, kindly have a seat on the bench outside my office before sneaking in without knocking."

She took a breath. "Ever heard of burning passion? There are different loves. Plus things can mean COMPLETELY different things." She said nodding, "Now run along Miss Smith, and if you have anymore questions please wait your turn at the bench." And, escorting the girl out she saw two Hufflepuff students and a Ravenclaw at her bench. "Come in children... I have cookies."

"Oh! i'm very sorry Professor, I'll wait outside." she said and took a seat on the bench outside her office and waited for turn to come.

Stepping inside the Professor's office, Edem couldn't help the anxiety. But as soon as he was inside, the feeling vanished a little. The professor seemed to have great taste in decoration, although a little too purplish for his taste--it was okay. He looked at the professor hesitatingly, not knowing where to begin. Should he sit down, or..? He decided not to do so until he was asked to. Still standing, he asked,

"Professor.. I--I have a question." question. It was not a question. It was more like a story, and he hoped he wouldn't take too much of the professor's time since clearly she was always busy.

"Shoot!" She said taking a seat on her fluffy.

"Shoot!"? Edem wasn't sure how to respond to that. Worried that the professor might have actually addressed him, he hastily took a seat across her, his hands folded and rested upon his legs. Should I speak now?

"Um, Professor.. It's about the homework I handed in earlier," Edem said in low voice. It had been quite some time, but he hoped the professor still remembered it. He tried to keep everything brief in his report. Taking a deep breath, he continued, "You see, I asked a question about my sister.. And the Runes I got, they weren't so.. Delightful." Edem kept moving uncomfortably in his seat.

"I.. I don't want to be a pessimist or be doubtful somehow, but.. The Runes could be wrong, couldn't they?" fists clenched tight, he hoped the professor would say no. But he had indeed given all his heart into concentrating on the questions he asked, didn't he? "Because.. Because they said my sister and my parents might be lying to me about something very important, and.. And I'm.. Insecure."

Edem had avoided the professor's gaze all the time, staring at his knees instead. He didn't want to let the professor know how scared he was.

"Of course they could be wrong..." She said with a smile. "Is that all? That's nothing to be so concerned about. You could have read them wrong, interpreted their meanings incorrectly, and they can just be plain false. Runes are not used to read the future... remember that." She said and lifted her platter. "Cookies? I'm not so talented as to have baked them myself, but the house elves here are quite talented when it comes to baked goods." She told him.

Edem sighed and finally looked up, but couldn't keep eye contact with the professor for longer than a second. Shaking his head a little with a forced smile, he indicated refusal to the cookies. They smell pretty good, but.. He was not in the mood to eat anything. He bit his lower lip nervously--his anxiety had nothing to do with the professor. It was instinctive, and he didn't know why.. Yet.

"But, Professor.. My partner, he's brilliant, and I trust him when he read my Runes. We did the readings twice, and the first one was, I could confirm it myself, almost 100% correct. So.. I don't think he could be wrong. I mean there were signs too, and his readings about my past, they were also correct." Edem said half-heartedly. He didn't want to admit it, but he thought the information might be necessary.

Taking a deep breath, Edem hoped that his next request was tolerable. "I'm sorry if this is too much to ask, but would you interpret the Runes for me? Maybe your interpretations would be different from my partner's, but.. Um, I understand that you're busy, so.. It's okay either way." and he bit his lip again, waiting for the professor's response.

"Master Roumimper... these are not even real runes... The Rowling Runes are more set in arithmancy then in language. But let me see what you have... " Alessia raised her hand and summoned the rune homework. "Let's see, your question was... You wanted to know what your first year at Hogwarts would be like... Oooo good question." She said and looked at the runes. "(9) Hydra, (4) Fwooper and (8) Acromantula..." She read the homework.

"Master Pryce did a very good job... But let me give you my interpretation of the runes. Seems like you were uneasy about coming to the school... maybe even started out with some homesickness, or maybe you thought you would be homesick. But now you are happy about it, having a great time. And for the future it seems you will exceed in school... and that's my interpretation of the runes... Any of this ring true?"

Edem blushed slightly when he was told about the Rowling Runes. Goodness, was he really worrying about it too much? He listened carefully to the professor's interpretation. She had read it mostly correct, but once again, except for the future that he himself hadn't known. But that wasn't the question he was concerned about.. Wait, did he hand in both reports? Whose report was it that she was reading--Tibi's? But it didn't matter. He remembered his Runes perfectly.

"Yes, Professor," he nodded, hesitating to continue, but if he didn't then his visit would be a waste. He decided to carry on, "But Tib--Pryce and I, we did two readings each, actually.."

He took a deep breath, "I asked him next whether I'd see my sister again anytime soon or not.. I-I remember all the Runes. I never have forgotten them, not even for a day.. The Runes were Graphorn, Quintaped, and Runespoor," when he finally ended he clenched his fists tight again, "I'm sorry I'm causing you so much trouble, Professor.."

"Master Roumimper... please. These runes are nothing. Not accurate at all... Even the futhark runes do not hold much value in divination. You know this, I've explained it in class." She summonned the three runes he spoke of and she began reading them.

"In the past you were close, always together... now it seems the two of you are growing apart." She looked at him to see if any of this rang true... "the way I would read your future is after conflict and maybe betrayal, you with go back to the unity you remember, by using teamwork." She told him.

"See nothing to be so upset over... And now if you'll excuse me, I need to tend to some things." She said opening the door for the boy.

Celandine levitated Abby into the office and looked around for a soft place to put her down.

She didn't want to presume anything so she looked up at Professor Lupa questioningly.

"On the fluffy please." She said pointing it out to the young Ravenclaw. "And thank you, Miss Toussaint."
