Feeling a twinge of annoyance at that little remark, Jake glanced up at Lupa before looking away again. But then what she said next made a furious emotion deep within him kind of RAWRR for a moment. "No, I certainly did not," he retorted, a petulant expression on his face. "I told you. I found them."

"Jake's right, Professor Lupa. They were found," LouAnn said, speaking up for the first time in a few minutes. She'd been listening carefully to the interaction between Jake and the professor while thinking carefully about the black-out question she'd just asked. She put all thoughts of blacking out to the side, though, more interested for the time-being in figuring out more about her own stones.

"Well, what about these?" she asked, pulling the drawstring bag back out of her pocket and slowly opening it. She paused, glancing over at Jake before pulling seven additional objects out and showcasing them in the palm of her hand. "Are these runes, too?" She said no more, but watched the professor with wide, curious eyes. If they were runes, as she supposed, they were very special. They seemed so to her, at least.

"Alright... I believe you." She said smiling at the boy. "Where did you find them?" She asked.

Alessia looked at the objects before her. "Yes... They seem to be... well, the ones on the right anyway, are what's called Witch's runes. That there..." she pointed at the rune resembling the sun, "symbolizes the sun. It's meanings are success and progress." She said and pointed to the moon one. "The moon means change..." She never liked that rune... "This one with the arrows is similar to the two spears rune... except on the two spears the arrows only point up... it means arguments and negativity... hmmm the one with the three squiggly lines you are holding sideways... when the lines go from side to side, that's the birds, it means unexpected news or change. I've not seen the others..." She looked at the girl... "Have you... been blacking out?"

LouAnn just stared at her runes as the professor described each and every one of them in detail. In all honestly, most of it went over LouAnn's head, for she was never really good at that type of thing anyway. The professor, on the other hand, really knew her stuff! Had LouAnn not been so very confused about events that had happened over the past few days, she'd have congratulated the woman on such knowledge.

"Wow," was all she could whisper, though. She considered the black-out question for a moment, wondering if blacking out was really what was happening. It just seemed like LouAnn was fully aware of her surroundings one moment, but then...some time later she'd realize lots of time had passed even though she wasn't aware of it. It was like certain parts of her day were, in a sense, gone. So, no, not really blacking out. "No, ma'am," she finally said, pouring her runes back into the drawstring bag and then stowing it away in her pockets. "It was just something I'd been wondering. Thank you for telling me more information about those, though!"

Gathering his stones together again, Jake looked sheepishly up at Lupa. "I found them... in my pocket," he murmured, biting on his lip and gathering them up. "A little earlier."

He paused and glanced round at LouAnn. "I think I need to go now," Jake added, putting them back in his pocket.

"Where did you find yours?" Alessia asked the girl.

"In your pocket? Well that makes sense... some student is playing a prank on you. They must have slipped some made up runes..." She said smiling at the boy. "If you feel you need to go... you are excused."

"Yes Professor," Jake said hurriedly, standing up and pausing as he looked at LouAnn, hearing Lupa's question. Giving the girl a small shake of the head and a wide-eyed stare as if to say 'We have to go,' Jake tugged on her sleeve, waiting to see if she'd come with.

LouAnn's face sort of fell expressionless again when the professor asked where her runes were found. She'd look like the village idiot if she admitted that she had no idea where they came from and how they suddenly appeared in her pocket. Professor Lupa just might send her straight to the hospital wing---or worse, St. Mungo's! "Mine were also found in my pocket," she finally said, glancing over at Jake. "A prank, though, right? Right!" Jake was tugging at her sleeve now, though, so she assumed her time in this office was now limited. The two really did need to make their leave soon, come to think of it. "Well, I thank you for your time, Professor. Thanks for your knowledge, as well. I have homework to do now...Ancient Runes, at that."

Eyes actually going SERIOUSLY wide by this point, Jake blinked for a moment and wondered why he was in such a hurry to get out. But then it hit him again. GUH!

"SorryProfessorgottagonowneedLouAnntooBYE!" he babbled, grabbing LouAnn's sleeve and, with the kind of strength he could usually only muster when pitching a fit, hauled her out of the chair, through the door and away from the office.

Hmmm Odd boy... He probably wanted to talk to her privately... most boyfriends and girlfriends want that...

She stuck her head out the door. "Master Lycaon, Miss Matthews, Master Black? Please come in."

Rafe stormed in dripping water all over the place, as he slung his shirt and robes on a chair and began pacing in front of her desk. He almost his the boy that was leaving. Rafe didn't know if he was up set or angry or sad, but he was trembling all over and it wasn't from being soaked. "Theodore Newington knows about me! I have only disclosed my information to two people and this was right after he got back from detention with you!"

"What if he tells someone who I am?" He continued to pace and appeared to be talking more to himself than at the professor. "What will my mum think? What if some sort of mob is formed? What if that Professor Vindictus finds out? What if he won't let me play for the team? What will my best friend think if she finds out from someone else and not from me? What if she hates me? What if the entire school hates me?" Rafe probably looked crazy talking to himself. But, he was so furious he didn't know what to do or what to think. This was something he never had to deal with before.

ooc: Read the first post to see the layout of her office. She has no desk and no chairs...

Alessia held the boy's shoulders. "Calm down Master Lycaon..." She said... "Master Newtington is probably just assuming. He was baffled as to why I didn't stop you for pointing your wand at his neck. And Master Lycaon, if you dare do that in my presence again, I will deduct a large amount of points. He is only assuming. So do not take him seriously." She patted his back, "Don't confirm anything to him, and you'll be fine."

Rafe took a few deep breaths, he was being a bit hysterical. He looked in Professor Lupa's eyes, his were glossy and filled with tears. "I'm s-scared, Professor. I've always been so open and fine with who I am, it's like this weight is put on me." A single tear stremed down his cheek. It was the first time he showed himself being vulnerable. The first time he was acting his age and not trying to act older or tougher. "I talked with Professor Kaz, he told me not to show my emotions, but sometimes I get so angry it's hard to control it. I wholeheartedly apologize for the way I was acting in class. I guess I replace fear with anger." He sniffed loudly.

She gave the boy a hug. "Now... Take a cookie," she said, handing him the plate. "Take a deep breath, and don't worry about Newtington... he's just a jealous boy... The boy is sporting a tail and ears... He's the one that looks like a wolf..."

Rafe was grateful for her hug, it was a weird feeling. "I've never been hugged before," Rafe said shyly as he wiped away his tears. "Mum always said it's too mushy to do so." Rafe took a cookie and nibbled on it a bit. He felt a little better. He picked up his shirt off the floor and put it on. He couldn't help, but laugh at what she'd done to Theo. "I knew something was up! He's wearing a hat that has some sort of permanent sticking charm that only he is allowed to take it off...I just knew it...he had that smell about him..." Rafe bursted out laughing. "Thank you professor. Also, Professor Kazimeriz encourages me to still take wolfsbane potion leading up to the full moon," he said in a low whisper. "But, is there anything to help me with my anger issues?"

"I find meditation is helpful... chanting... doing homework" She smiled. "Now, if that's all... I have other students who wish to speak with me."

"Yes of course," Rafe nodded and went to the door. "Thanks again Professor."

Kylie was nervous to talk to Professor Lupa about this.. she was. But curiosity burned within her, and until she talked to Professor Lupa--it wouldn't rest. She just hoped that the Ancient Runes teacher wouldn't take her questions in a negative manor. She didn't mean them as such.. she was simply curious.. and Kylie's curiosity generally won out against her better instinct.

"Excuse me? Professor Lupa? Um..well, may I have a word? Kylie asked hesitantly.

"Of course," she said sitting down.

Kylie was a little hesitant, she didn't want Professor Lupa to think she was implying something... she was merely curious..

"Well.. I'd heard some talk of something that happened last year. I didn't...well I didn't understand it. I know you must be truly emotional about it, and I really don't mean to intrude or offend you but..well.. did something happen last year involving you and the headmistress? I simply don't understand. I really don't mean to offend you or anything..." Kylie was quite nervous. She wanted to know and she didn't know anyone else who might. She just hoped Professor Lupa wouldn't take her question negatively.

"Oh..." she said giggling despite herself. "Let me first correct you. HeadMASTER Reynard Bontecou may be a little baffled to head you thought he was a woman. That being said, you should know I'm a werewolf. Cookie?" She said showing the girl the tray of chocolate chip and cranberry oatmeal cookies. "I was asked to be caged during the full moon so students could see a werewolf. My potion and cage was sabotaged... and I... attacked the headmaster. But please do not worry. The ministry is taking extra steps with the both of us. They are sending wolfsbane potion with a representative and they are to keep us under lock and key. You are safe... Does that explain it?"

Matheu was very upset with himself that he missed the lesson. He read the chapter over again, but he couldn't quite work out the kinks. He was a smart and intellgent student, but something about the Rowling Alphabet was getting him confused. He decided he needed to ask the professor. Surely she could reason with him, and pardon him from being tardy.
Matheu knocked on the door and waited patiently.

Kylie felt so stupid. She'd swore she assumed it was something about a Headmistress, she'd just assumed it was before the Headmaster had taken his place..or something.. while comprehending the knowledge she'd just been bestowed with, she took a chocolate chip cookie.
"Thank you, Professor." She took a bite out of the cookie. She wondered...
"And no one knows who sabotaged your cage or potion?" Kylie was genuinely curious. That's so..strange..Professor Lupa seemed so nice. Why would anyone want to sabotage her?...Or were they trying to hurt the Headmaster?

"No one knows yet... it was either someone who wanted to prove werewolves should not be at Hogwarts... or someone who just wanted children turned into werewolves." The headmaster had not been the target... he sacrificed himself to save the children. "Don't you worry, the ministry will catch the person responsible." She said.

"There is a bench by my door, please wait there until I am through." Alessia's voice said from inside the office.

"Oh." Kylie said.
Kylie had already learned to never fully trust the ministry.. or any other form of government. In muggle and wizarding world alike, there had been instances where the government was dead wrong. The only thing you could ever truly trust was your gut.
"And your sure? I mean... you don't know of anyone who didn't like you? Or who doesn't like the idea of werewolves teaching? I mean..it's just so scary." Or Hogwarts in general...Kylie guessed. Kylie thought it would be best to keep playing the innocence card.. she wasn't sure if the Professor knew anything more.. but she was going to try to get as much as she could.
