Wow. Keeley didn't even know the basics. Oh my. So, she just plopped down and watched. |
Plymouth's whistle BLEWWWW when someone startled him from behind. He jerked around to find... Ohhh CellBell. Plymouth's grin was immediate. He ran at her with TICKLY FINGERS for just a moment before raising his hand. "Hehe" "The most important of all is the position YOU play sir. REFEREE. In addition to what everyone already said." |
Whoa. Talk about being late, hmm. LouAnn raised one chilled-to-the-bone hand. "Seeker, Keeper, Chaser, and Beater," she answered. She giggled when Plymouth, that Ravenclaw boy standing by Cela, mentioned that the referee was a position, too. "Oh, well in that case, the fans in the standsss, too!" |
"Four points each to Slytherin, Gryffindor and Ravenclaw for the answers," Vindictus said and nodded at Plymouth in recognition of his answer. "There are three balls of various sizes used in a Quidditch game - what are they?" |
Easy again! "The Golden Snitch, the bludger," Her favourite, "and the Quaffle." But the bludger was still the best. |
Raising her hand Marie said, "Professor there is the Keeper, 3 Chasers,2 Beaters, and the Seeker." "There is the quaffle, bluddger, and the golden snitch." Marie said as she raised her hand. |
"Three? Technically there are four if you count two bludgers..." she mumbled quietly to herself, but eh..."The golden snitch, the bludgers, and the quaffle professor." she spoke, rubbing her hands together so they weren't popsicles. |
Yep, very easy. Raising her hand again Destiny said 'The bludger, quaffle and the snitch!' Did she have to say golden? Oh well.. |
"Snitch, Quaffle, and B-b-b-ludger!" LouAnn called out, raising her hand high into the air. Merlin, it was colddd out here!!! LouAnn eyed the professor, wondering if suggestion an indoor Flying lesson would be completely out of the question. |
Herminny raised her hand and said, "The three balls used in quiddich are the quaffle, the bludger, and the golden snitch.". |
"Three points each to Ravenclaw, Slytherin and Gryffindor for your answers," Vindictus finally replied and he frowned at one particular Slytherin girl who seemed to be talking to herself. "Is there a problem, young lady?" he asked her. While waiting for her to reply, he continued with his Socratic questioning of the class. "The game of Quidditch is downright brutal and can be hazardous to one's health. Since we all know the positions and balls involved in the game, who can tell me the job of the Keeper?" |
"The keeper, Professor, makes sure to not let the other team's chasers score. As in, they stop the Quaffle from sailing through the hoops." It was pretty stressful thing, really. Sort of. FUN, though. |

Evelyn looked wide eyed at the professor. Was he talking to her? "No, sir." she said, before calming down again. "Umm, the job of the Keeper is to defend the hoops, professor." Clearing her throat, and looking around to the others, she turned back to the professor and smiled slightly nervously. 'Need to stop talking to myself. Like i am right now! Argh.' |
"Oh, I know that one! The keeper has to block the quaffle from entering the goals," she said, lowering her raised hand once her answer had been said. Her lips were beginning to feel a tad on the funny side, though. Could she even feel them anymore? Were they blue yet?! |
Ok, Keeley had to answer a question! She had heard a bit about quidditch from Bella, so she volunteered "Er... to block those rings over there?" she answered hesitantly, pointing to the rings on sticks that sorta looked like giant bubble wands. |
'The keeper blocks the goals from other the other teams!' Destiny raised her hand again. Maybe she should just keep it raised? |

Herminny raised her hand yet again to answer the current question saying, "The keepers job is guard the three huge goal hoops on their teams side to prevent the other teams chaser from scoring.". |
"The Keeper's job is to not let the Quaffles through the hoops, hence the other team will score if the Quaffle scores," Jule answered, barely feeling her mouth move anymore. Either way, she didn't mind. It was a lesson she liked with one of her favorite professors, one of the laid back ones that it. |
Plymouth raised his hand. "I always feel bad for the Keeper's. The Chasers THROW the quaffle at them. I mean, as if being up in the AIR that high isn't bad enough. Then, you know? From there it's a lose-lose. Either the Keeper makes the OTHER TEAM mad by blocking - then probably inducing MORE anger and more quaffles being thrown at the poor Keeper. OR, the Keeper DOESN'T block and HIS team is mad at him because the other team scored. I mean, they've really got the hardest job." He gave his whistle an ITTY BITTY blow to punctuate his... "answer." |
The short whistle made him raise an eyebrow at Plymouth. That boy is hooked on the power of the whistle . . . . "Two points each to Gryffindor, Slytherin and Ravenclaw for their answers but Ravenclaw is rewarded with two additional points for Plymouth's correct observation," Vindictus explained and he knew which question he'd ask next. "Since the Keeper blocks the shots, what's the job of the Chaser?" |
Jake raised his hand. "Pass the quaffle around and score the points," he said plainly, hoping he wasn't forgetting anything. Like... really hoping. |
Well, Plymouth pretty much gave the whole answer away, which helped because Keeley honestly hadn't known it. Plus he had gotten reavenclaw two extra points! yay! "Erm, they throw the...quaffle through the big hoops." |
'Ugh, ravenclaw always gets all the points.' she thought solemnly. "The chasers score all the points professor. Well, most of the points. They fly around tossing the quaffle to one another and throw it through one of the three hoops to try and score." she said, lightly drawing a circle in a patch of snow on the ground with her shoe. |
... Why was she here? Livvy stood there with the others, shivering in the freezing cold. She wrapped her arms around herself, trying to produce more warmth. She tried to keep her mind off the cold, but it always caught up with her. Her attention was then drawn to the professor, when he mentioned the job of the Chaser. Chaser? Hmm. That was HER! Livvy raised her hand into the air. "The job of the Chaser is to take control of the Quaffle and through teamwork, try to get the Quaffle past the Keeper and through the opposing team's goal hoop to score points." Yup. That's what she had to do. Why couldn't Willow assign her as a Beater? Beating was sooooo easy. Now she actually had to do something. |
