Thrilled, huh? Plymouth refrained from nudging Professor V and went to take a seat with everyone else. He raised his hand on the way, "Gravity, Sir. If you are distracted, the evil G will grab you and pull you down!" Hmm. Probably why Plymouth was still in beginning flying... distractions.. Ohhh a butterfly... |
Ugh. Why did all of the others seem to know everything about flying and none of them petrified?!?! Keeley sighed, gazing around at the sky trying to stay positive. Well, at least it wasn't raining, there's a plus. |

As soon as she finished another thought occurred to her and her hand shot up again. "You could also fly where muggles could see you, sir." |
Vindictus listened to each of their answers and nodded in agreement. "Very good answers, each of you. Two points to each of you who volunteered their answers." He rolled up the poster and tossed it on the ground behind him. "Now, let's focus on safe flying today and not on who can show off their skills." It was said firmly and almost as a warning. Don't show off or else. "Everyone - please grab a broom and line up on the white line," he said and the line appeared on the grass. "If you're not to keen on heights, grab one of the harnesses, too." |
Tibi walked over dejectedly to grab a broom. This was going to be a right disaster. He kept his head hung and barely lifted his feet off the ground. Before heading over to the white line, he grabbed a harness, too. He was bound to fall.. he just KNEW it. Making his way over to the white line, Tibi stood, broom in one hand, harness in the other, awaiting his doom. |
Pleased that she'd answered appropriately and earned herself some points, LouAnn stepped forward, grabbed a broom, and took a stand on the white line. She decided against the harness, for she wasn't that bad at flying...just a little rusty, as she'd thought before. A few tries here and there, and she should be back in the air and flying like a normal witch in no time. Although, the image on that poster stayed in her mind while she waited for the next set of instructions. Hopefully that image wouldn't be what she'd look like anytime soon! |
Damon did as he was instructed and went and got himself a broom. He also got a harness as well. He was not entirely afraid of heights but he also just wanted to be careful the first time doing this. |
Evelyn smiled at the word 'safe', almost laughing. She never really flew 'safe' before and didn't feel like beginning. Upon hearing the words of 'no showing off' though...that was a different story. "But why-" she started, but broke off her words, clamping her mouth shut, eyes widening. 'You were not just about to start complain to him. Tell me you weren't.' Evelyn heard in her thoughts. She was too nervous to even reply, hoping the teacher couldn't read thoughts. Hurrying over, she picked a broom looked decent enough to fly on, trying her hardest not to look disgusted by it, and stood on the white line. 'Wish i could have my broom from home.' |

Oh Lord, help me now! Keeley felt dread weighing her down as she got a broomstick, and definately a harness. Trudging to the white line, she could swear that she saw her life flash before her eyes, being a bit overdramatic onn this particular fear. She stared around at the students, praying that someone else woul be just as afraid as she was herself. |
Yes, points! You can't go wrong there. Rafe stood up rather proudly that he contributed to adding points to his House. Rafe's intentions were to show off a little, but that was quickly washed away from his mind with the professor's warning. Rafe examined the brooms and picked one that looked proportionally balanced with finely clipped end and one without a harness, that didn't even look comfortable and seemed restricting. Then, he went to the white line and waited to begin. |

Plymouth, despite towering over most of the firsties, was first to grab a harness. He wasn't going to eat grass, not today, not ever. He just really wanted a whistle to be honest. To be like Vindictus. "Hehe. Aye yay, Professor V." Plymouth toed the line (like he did SO often in all classes). |
Professor Vindictus walked over to a few of the students who grabbed harnesses but they didn't look green at the prospect of flying more than four inches above ground. "Are you sure you need the harness? I only recommend it to those who suffer from acrophobia or aviatophobia." |

Tibi's lip trembled as he looked up at the man. "Please?" |
Damon heard what the professor said regarding harnesses and decided he would see how he could do without one. He place it down where all the others were and continued to wait for further instruction. |

He looked over at the older Ravenclaw boy and grinned. "Plymouth! Can you come over here for a moment?" |
Zoe was standing on the white line and gently picked up a broom. She stood there staring at the harness for a moment unsure of whether to get one. Then she heard the professor advise the harnesses only for those with extreme fears and she put away thoughts of extra safety equipment. Nervously she started gnawing on her lower lip. She had been on a broom before, but only at home and never in front of this many people. |

"Yes, Professor, I think I'd like that." Think, being the operative word. Tibi had no idea if it was a good thing or not, but if the professor suggested it, it couldn't be terrible, right? |

Jecca is a bit afraid of hieghts but still she finds ways how to overcome her phobia, she grabbed a broom and lined up on the white line. "Relax, Jecca, You can to this!!! " she whispered to herself (trembling). |
Fred was glad he had given a good ananswer seeing as he knew Gryffindor needed all the points anyone from the house could earn at this point cause they were in dead last and he was happy he could contribute. After this thought he went over and grabbed a school broom and waited at the white line. He could'nt wait to get started cause regardless how embarassed he felt after all these years he was finally gonna get to learn how to fly at his in own pace after all these years and thats all that mattered to him. |
Almost jumping up and down in excitement. Why he's not sure, because everything else has scared him. Looking at the mentioned harnesses' he shakes his head. Somehow, he knew he would not need one. |
Keeley's fear grew larger and stronger every second of standing on that dang whitw line, but she needed to calm down. She attempted this, but realising that it was a failed attempt, she turned to the boy next to her, who looked just as nausious and said "Hi, I'm Keeley," trying to sound as calm as possible, another failure. On top of that her eyes were flashing different colors a mile a minute, giving away her anxiety. |
