Dangerous little thing! Copernicus spotted the red berries on the floor of the greenhouse, and he snagged one berry and one of the darkly glossy leaves for his satchel before resuming his hunt around the greenhouse.

Abby makes her way into to Greenhouse hot on the trail of more items for the scavenger hunt. She walks up and down the aisles of plants when she comes across a plant that reminds her of Christmas. [I]Red berries, pointed leaves... This has to be holly. Abby takes a couple of leaves and deposits them in her bag. She then marks Holly off her list and makes a note that she found it in the Greenhouse. Then she's off to search for more scavenger items.

Abigail entered the greenhouse, she’d never been there before, but then she was a first year she hadn’t been to many places yet. Not quite sure what she was looking for she began to walk around being extremely carful...who’s to know what could be in the green house.

She noticed some other students at a plant covered in berries and walked towards it. She recognised it from somewhere but wasn’t sure where. Then suddenly she remembered Maggie putting a wreath on the shop door made up of Holly for Christmas. This was one of the woods she’d been looking for! Bending down she picked up one of the berries lying underneath the holly bush, and added it to the collection she had in her bag.

Abby runs all the way to the green houses. She needs to find some tree fertizer. Every plant needs both food and water to survive. The Whomping Willow has had plenty of water. He needs some food to go with it. Abby walks around and looks. She finds a stack of plant fertilizer over in a corner. Abby waves her wand and levitates the bag in front of her. She starts walking back to the Whomping Willow. I sure hope he likes my gift.

Mina wandered through the Greenhouses she had access to, she would definitely have to return to Greenhouse Two for some potion ingredients, but she was here for another reason.

Not far from where she stood, she saw some berries on the ground. Leaning over and looking at them, she smiled and added them to her samples. 'Not sure if these are what I need, but it never hurts to have them if I do need them," she thought as she continued to look around.

Sara could not believe her lucky. She had found holly berries. Checking her list, she saw she needed Holly leaves. So, asking the plant nicely and apologizing for taking its leave, Sara slipped a berry and a leaf into her pocket.

Stalking. Was. Brilliant.

Jake was brilliant at this scavenger hunt, because his technique was mainly... well... use your initiative. He mostly watched and waited... and it paid off, but he figured he should search properly soon. Like... now...

But first, upon arriving at the Greenhouses, Jake saw a bunch of people diving for some berries, and followed suit, recognising these.

Having pocketed them, Jake sighed in resignation and began rooting (haha, geddit?) around, knowing he'd probably rarely be allowed in this part of the school for a while. When he couldn't see much more, Jake sighed again and left the greenhouses.

After her successful walk in the student garden, Evelyn decided to head over to the greenhouses to check out if there was anything on the list there. If there was anyone there, she wouldn't have noticed because her eyes settled on a pile of bright red berries on the floor next to a plant that looked oddly familiar. Christmasy...
Smiling, she walked over a picked a couple up, keeping them protected in her hands since she left her bag at the class. Peaking around for a minute or so since she's never been here before, she started walking away, maybe to go on another walk.

Ana walked into the Greenhouse, she looked for something from that list when finally she saw the red berries from a holly tree. Happily she walked to them and catch 2 berries that she placed on her bag.

Ohh, Lyddia knew what those were! She walked over and grabbed a berry from the floor. Lyddia grinned. Win.

Making his way to the Greenhouses with only a sliiiiiiight stomp in each step, Jake lingered outside the greenhouse and glanced over his shoulder at Bunbury. "You know, you didn't have to destroy my hat," he pointed out, running a hand through his sweaty pink hair. "That's worse that steeeealing, that is."

And he waited for this bloody detention to start.

"You didn't have to TOUCH my HEAD with your spit-soaked hand," Bunbury retorted with a snort. "How is that any worse than stealing OR your apparent problem with invading a professor's personal space??!! EXXXACTLY."

She yanked the door to Greenhouse Four open and jerked her head toward the door. Abandon all hope ye who enter...

"Personal space?" Jake repeated blankly, staring at Bunbutt with vague expression on his face, not having an overly great understanding of that concept. As he watched Bunz open the door, Jake suddenly felt great apprehension and totally regretting his actions. Slowly, he headed into the greenhouse...

Gulp.

It took a certain measure of self control to not a) cackle or b) kick Jake Upstead in the seat of his pants as he ambled in. Could the boy be any SLOWER? Or denser, for that matter??!

"Personal space, Upstead, means that you DON'T invade someone's bubble of privacy or offend them by coming too CLOSE to them, physically, unless they invite you in!"

Invite you in the bubble, she meant. Oh whatever. It was ludicrous that Bunz even had to explain this concept. But he would learn. She would teach. And he would learn.

"This, for example," Anastasia marched around the boy and came in closer with each step until she was LAIKRIGHTHEREINHISFACESHOUTINGATHIM, "THIS is an example of violating the personal bubble."

Jake didn't even think. He had no time to. One minute, he was gazing around, minding his own business, when BAM!!!!! There she was, right there in his face. Acting instinctively, Jake brought up his hands and gave Bunbury an almighty shove, before stumbling backwards.

"HEY!" he yelled, more upset about the fact that... "Don't shout in my face! Nobody shouts in my face. I didn't shout in YOURS!" he bellowed, keeping his distance from the woman.

Breathing harshly through his nose, Jake glared. GLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARED. The last person who'd done that to Jake... well... ahem. Bunz didn't need to know exactly what happened, but it the results had contributed to him getting kicked out of school. As he flicked his hand, Jake felt his wand slide into it from where it rested up his sleeve... and immediately felt better... even though it wouldn't help him at all. Stupid wand.

HE TOUCHED HER AGAIN!!!!!!!11111!!!!

Granted, it had been a shove - a RUDE shove, yes, Jake Upstead had SHOVED a PROFESSOR - but Bunbury was clearly not fond of this boy's hands. He was going to pay for that. Her eyes were narrowed to near slits and it was needless to say the redhead was seeing red.

"What do you call THIS, then?!!" she shouted again, right back in his face, and hardly stumbling from the shove. "SHOUTING!!!1 In my FACEEE!" Wrong move Upstead, wrong wrong wrong. This was not how you started a detention with the Bunzinator.

She turned heel and abruptly stalked off from the boy to get a breath of non-stinky-child-free-air. Halfway across the greenhouse Bunz had an idea. Aha. She glanced back at the troublesome child and smirked widely before taking off to the back of the room. Weaving around and through a small forest of vines and steamy, creepy, touchy-feely plants, Bunbury came to a stop by what looked like a compost heap of squiggly black tendrils.

"Come here, Upstead," Annie ordered loudly, hoping he'd have the sense to follow her voice and not get lost in the few plants. "And turn over your wand."

WHY DID SHE KEEP DOING THAT?!

Jake gave a stomp of his foot as Bunz stalked away, glaring after her... wand hand twitching. But then... she went out of sight... and called him to her? Really. DURRRR.

Blinking, Jake went in the same direction he'd seen her head off to, and abruptly found himself... well... not found at all... found himself lost. [/oxymoron]

"Errr..." he said quietly, when she spoke again... something about turning over his wand. Using the speech, Jake found her again and stepped towards her, abruptly stepping back again at the sight of the... whatever it was.

"My... wand?" Jake repeated, glancing at the stick in his hand, confused. Turn it over? Wut? After blinking for a few moments, Jake rotated his hand, so the wand was now, quite literally turned over. He gave a happy smile to Bunzzzzzz.

For the love of Merlin... this boy really was a Squib.

Sighing in exasperation and frustration, Anastasia put one hand to her forehead and held the other out, palm up. "GIVE me your wand, Upstead, and then have a seat on that nice, squishy, friendly plant there."

Friendly. Very friendly plant...er...pile of tangly vines...maybe a few prickley ones...

"Ohhhhhhh... ya shoulda said," Jake retorted, as if it was Bunz's fault he was being a div. Hesitantly he held the wand out so it was balanced on his flat palm, biting his lip. "I don't trust you with it," he stated bluntly, though he wasn't stupid enough to outright refuse.

Well... he was. He just... didn't think of that.

Eyeing the plan she was referring to, Jake bit on the thumb of his free hand, a nervous habit he had, now gripping his wand tightly again, and sitting down hurriedly before she could actually take the wand from him. "Errr... Professor... it's not like I can actually do proper magic. I think I should keep hold of it."

But it was still held in his hand, Jake's grip having slackened somewhat. Easy enough to take from him...

OUCH!

What was that?

Idiot. Like she cared if the boy trusted her with anything he owned. Snatching the wand out of Jake's hand as soon as he sat down, Bunbury took a big step back and grinned.

Er, did her usual evil pointy-toothed-smirk-of-doooooom.

"You won't be doing any magic, Upstead. This detention is to teach you some personal skills. Like what is considered a rude invasion of the personal bubble and what is not."

She patiently started twirling his wand like a baton and watched the plant he was sitting on react to his presence. Of course it just wanted to huggggle the Hufflepuff, with about five or six long vines starting to wrap around Jake's chest and arms.... and a few more snaked up and around his legs like chains...

"Hehee," Annie cackled just a bit, reaching forward to give the Devil's Snare a gentle pat. "He likes you."

The plant liked the boy quite a lot, really, if the one tendril dancing across Jake's upper lip like a mustache was any indication... not to mention the other three weaving through his hair and tightening their hold around his ears... and the other one making something like a tie around his neck...

Such a friendly plant.

So Jake, not being as attentive as one would like, had his attentions focused on his wand in Bunz's hand, scowling slightly, for fear that the woman would break it. On purpose.

But no... it seemed she was more worried about breaking HIM. Fo realz, yo.

Before he'd really understood what had happened, the plant he was sitting on started TRY TO EEEEEAT HIIIIIM!

"What... what is this?" he asked uncertainly, before freezing with fear as he felt one around his neck.

"HEEEEEELP!" he bellowed immediately, struggling against the plant and feeling it tug tighter. "HELLLLLP! PROFESSOR MORGAN! LAWSON! HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPP!"

The rest of his cries were muffled somewhat, and Jake stared up at Bunbury in total fright and alarm, a solitary tear dripping down his face.

"This is called a learning experience," Bunbury calmly answered Jake, tossing his wand up and catching it like it was a ball. Her smirk only grew wider the more the more struggled.... and then he started screaming.

"Ah ah ah!" Annie tsked, shaking her head. "No one can here you in here, Upstead." And why did it bother her so much that he was calling for Lawson?

No matter. Time to put an end to that. Anastasia twirled Jake's wand again and then used it to cast a nonverbal silencing spell on him. Her favorite. HA. HA. HA. Not that he needed the spell, really, since the affectionate Devil's Snare had expanded across his mouth. At least the plant was leaving his nostrils free so he could breath and his ears open so he could hear.

He'd need his hearing.

Twirling Jake's wand again, Bunbury conjured up a plain black lab stool and took a seat to watch him. She shook her head and twirled his wand some more. The more he struggled the worse it would be.

"This plant, like you, has no understanding of personal space, Upstead," she thought to mention casually. "And the more you move the clingier it gets." Cheerful news!

Why did this feel so... panic-worthy?

Jake couldn't find any logic that would assure him that Bunz wasn't trying to kill him, he just panicked more and more... struggling harder. It was alright for her... Jake was never one to just stand or sit still when someone had him in a death grip.

Biting down HARD on the disgusting tasting plant that was now in his mouth, Jake struggled even more, wincing in pain as it squeezed harder.

No understanding? BECAUSE IT'S A BLOODY PLANT!

Tugtugtug.

Jake pulllllllllllled and pullllllled and biiiiiiiiiit on the plant. But to no avail. He was well and truly stuck. Oh he was sooooooo going to Bontecou about her.

"UPSTEAD! No biting!" Bunbury admonished the boy with a frown. Mmm that wasn't going to be tasty. Nor was the plant going to be very happy.

Sighing loudly, Bunz glanced down at her nails and then buffed them on her robes, before admiring them again. Ooh. Could use a new topcoat there. Maybe she should paint her nails while she let the Devil's Snare have a bit of fun with Jake?

Speaking of Jake, as he pulled and bit on the plant, the plant pulled back. It was simultaneously hugging him closer and yet tugging on his limbs at the same time as if it wished to tear him piece to piece. When the boy BIT DOWN on the Devil's Snare though (and got a few prickly spines in his mouth), the plant had had enough. It whirled a fuzzy tendril up and slapped him square across the mouth before repeating the action. SLAP! SLAP! SLAP!

RUDE boy! SLAP! No one SLAP! bites SLAP! Devil's SLAP! Snare!

Anastasia looked up from her nails at the sound of the plant 'teaching' Jake a lesson. "HAHAHAHA," she guffawed loudly. "This is priceless. HA. How's it feel, Upstead?"

Maybe she should remove the silencing charm? Just for a bit?

.......naaaaaaah.

By reflex, Jake's teeth immediately jerked apart, allowing the plant to get free, and tasting just a few hints of blood from what he supposed were sharp parts of the plant. Ugh... he felt...

OWCH!

Stupid. Plant. Kept. Slapping. Him.

OW! OW! OW!

His face now off to one side, eyes squeezed shut as if antipating another attack, Jake peeked towards Bunbury, narrowing his eyes as he heard the question. How do you think it feels? he thought, his face now bright from where he'd been slapped. Turns out plants slap better than girls do.

Spitting out some blood from his mouth and onto the floor ahead of him, Jake resolved not to go down without a fight, and clamped his teeth around another tendril that was nearby. It tasted terrible... but Jake was a vegetarian, so he... was kind of used to it.

That... and he used to eat the leaves off the trees in his back garden.

BITE!

Even so... he didn't think he could take much more... Jake was feeling... dizzy...
