''Actually, yes all meals are dead unless you want it otherwise. Even i dare not to eat anything alive. Yuck!'' he threw the last piece of the cage inside his mouth and the package outside the window which flew backwards the next second. ''Hmm you are adopted. That's interesting'' he told the boy ''So you might not be a muggle born, i dont know if there's a blood test to understand it but people who call muggleborns 'mudblood' might know how to understand it since they care a lot about blood status. You can ask one of them'' he laughed again and....


...turned back to Rose who seemed to get bored. And a crazy idea popped up in his mind ''Hey, Rose, sweety, can you guess how many times i can make this cake bounce on my head?'' he asked smirking and hoping this would make her laugh.

She looked closely at his expression to see if he was serious, a smile forming on her lips, turning into a mischievous smirk, a thought forming in her head that would surely make her amused. "I would love, to know how many times you can bounce the cake on your head."

Lilly was thrilled. she was on her way back to Hogwarts. this was the one place she loved most. although she could do with a good box of Bertie Botts Every Flavored Beans, a licorice wand, and possibly a chocolate frog...or 2. that was her weakness. candy. oh well what can you do? she was rather suprised she hadn't seen anyone that she knew yet. she was rather hoping to run into kevin. no luck so far. oh well.

"Ouch!" he yelps slightly, surprised at the sudden attack. "I'm sorry, my owl, I mean, it..it's my fault." No excuses! he thinks sternly to himself. "I actually was in Switzerland most of the summer. I was so busy, I never did reply." Dipping his head, "I really am sorry, I should have replied, again."

Concerned he looks at her, "What happened? Is everything okay?" Looking a little guilty, he just brushes it off, "Oh, nothing's wrong. Just been a really long summer."

Kloe stopped by the Food Trolley to get some chocolate frogs and bertie bott's every flavor beans. she asked the lady for those things and handed her the money and went back to her compartment.

"Switzerland?" Lettie said, somewhat off guard. "Did you bring me anything?" Having always been spoiled was tough...at least that was what she was finding out now.

"Yeah...right." She said and tried a couple more times to summon the coins into her hand with no success. Lettie let out a small whine and grabbed, Ott's arm. "My dad and mom made me get a job over the summer...it was hooorrrrible." She was making it out to be more than it really was, but for her it was a big deal. "All you have to worry about is having OWLS last term...I had to go home and WORK." Hmmph.

Kevin wandered along to the food trolley as he was hungry and leaving without bringing anything to eat from the house was silly and he sighed and hoped to find somebody to chat to

''Than watch this. You'll be amazed'' he winked and handed the Pumpkin Pastries to her holding the box of Cauldron Cake. He threw the box up and when it started to fall down he hit it with his head making it rise again but since he could not hit it straight the box flew away from him, and the boy ran after it. The box was falling down before him and while people were staring, he wanted to jump towards the box to catch it but he tripped and fell down, the box hitting his head and falling next to him. Josh, lying on the floor, shoke his head some ''Woo i was nearly getting it''

"Yeah, my father decided we were going to spend the summer, getting really good stock." Rolling his eyes, he adds "and that's all we did, all summer." With a smile, he reaches into his robes, and takes out a necklace. I didn't buy this, but I did make it. I snuck away one night, and found these shells, and put them onto a string." Gently lifting it up for Lettie to see, it had pearly white shells, with glints of green and silver glistening from it.

Gently he asks, as she looks at the necklace, "It wasn't that bad, was it? What kind of job did you have to get?" His face turning slightly pink, at the mention of OWL's, he nods.

"Ooo..." 'Gimme!' Leticia reached out and took hold of the necklace and examined it. "Aww...that's so nice of you." She said as she pulled it over her head to wear it. "Thanks."

Her hazel green eyes stared, "It was AWFUL." She fidgeted with her new piece of jewelry. "I had to get up at eight o' clock every morning, well, every other day. And then I had to ride my bike to the general store in town. My dad knows the owner, and I had to wait on people in the cafe section of the market. Do you know what kind of weird people they have going through that place? All those strange tourists kept asking me for things and I didn't know where they were! I learned where everything was placed over time...but really...pfft." She finally gave up on trying to summon the coins into her hand and simply picked them up off of the ground.

"It wasn't that bad towards the end, and at least the coffee and pastries smelled lovely, but I dunno. I think I'd like not dealing with so many picky people all the time." Lettie looked towards the front of the line and sighed.
"How did your OWLS go anyway? I suppose I have to take them this term."

Kel cocked an eyebrow at her words. Spend all their money on year supplies of candy? He opened his mouth to ask if she'd ever actually done that, when she told him she hadn't, and instead started laughing. "I was starting to worry," he teased, flashing a smile. He wouldn't put it past Jenn to do that though...he knew what she was like with pumpkin pasties. He looked down at the floor and started gathering his sugar quills into a pile, and looked back up at her when she started talking about liking candy. He just smiled again in reply. Jenn was hyper no matter how much candy she ate, that, Kel knew for sure.

He looked quickly back down at the floor of the train as she asked how he'd been. Since that day in Florean's, not too good. He thought. He'd spent most of the days in his room - something he hardly ever did - because he'd been confused and wanted to be alone to think. But, it wasn't like he was going to tell Jenn that. "Pretty good," he answered, still looking down at the ground, because he didn't want her to see the truth in his eyes.

"I definitely know how that is. I guess it's one reason I like not having to work, with people too often." shrugging a little "It's a little lonely sometimes, but I don't hear a lot of wining, and complaining I guess."

Smiling, when she put on the necklace. "It matches your eyes, I think."

Avoiding her eyes, because she would know the truth if he did, he mutters "I did ok, I guess."

"Lucky." Lettie said under her breath. "And I have to work there whenever I go home for vacation, even for Christmas. My parents say that it will build character...character." She scoffed a little bit. Like she wasn't good enough as far as personality went? What was wrong with the way she was now? Well...maybe she could learn to speak her mind...was that it?

"I don't mind much if it would clash with my eyes, my shirt does." She pointed to her bright purple top. "At least I think they clash...but I like the color too much to care, just like with the necklace." Lettie smiled again and stared some more at Ott.
"I guess you didn't do as well as you had hoped...what was the hardest test if you don't mind me asking?" A heads up for her own OWLS might be a good thing.

She held the Pumkin Pastries as she waited for him to start, and she watched him throw the Cauldron Cake into the air. 'Wow, he is actually going to try.' she thought humorously. He got it to bounce, but it hit his head at a weird angle, making it fly across the room. She saw him supposedly about to dive for it, but tripped instead, falling straight to the ground. Evelyn snorted, trying so hard not to laugh and keep a serious face. "A-are you ok-kay?" hiding her smile behind her hand and walking over to him, bending down next to him. Picking up the Cauldron Cake, she looked down at it. "I had predicted that you would get at least three bounces before something like this happened. Think you need a bit more practice." she joked around, her wide smile showing off her white teeth. Evelyn looked at the little box in her hand, turning it in different angles, taking in all the words and pictures.

The longer Reese looked at Sylvia, the more she asked herself if she was picking up fallin' money. There were near a food trolley, so maybe the girl was looking for food. Nah, she couldn't be looking for food. It was like she was broke or anything, right? Taking her eyes off the girl, she looked towards the food trolley to make sure they weren't out of chocolate frogs. It would be outrageous if they were!

Finally seeing the trolley still had chocolate frogs, she turned back to Sylvia who had just gotten up from the ground. She returned the smile that the girl gave her when she agreed that it's been a long time since they had run into each other. It's probably been 2 years since she has last seen her. "I'm a sixth year," she replied. "What about you?"

Again with the funny names. Did these people think 'mudblood' and 'muggle' sounded cool or smart? It sounded more like whomever came up with the names were first-graders.

"Blood status?" Arrick raised an eyebrow, digesting this information. "Does it make a difference? As in how much of this 'magic' stuff you've got in you? Or 's it just a way of knowin' who's got what?"

He wondered briefly and seriously if odd magic people from normal parents were better or worse at this 'magic' stuff than others who had odd parents. It would make sense, he supposed...

Arrick simply stared as the other boy made a complete fool of himself to impress his girl friend.

"One," he deadpanned, wondering if everyone was going to be this silly at Hogwarts. As long as he didn't end up going silly himself, he supposed he could live with that...

Coming a little closer, he smirks and asks "And you need to build your character? They don't know you very well, apparently." He adds with tenderness in his voice. "I think your character is just fine." Giving her a light peck on the cheek, he backs away.

Shaking his head, "No, I didn't really do that well. History of Magic, was definitely the hardest. And I thought I knew it fairly well..."

"Um, wait...what?" 'My own family doesn't know me very well? Huh?' "And how long have you known me? A year?" Now her mood was becoming sassy and almost snobbish. "Don't you try that with me, buster, I know you as well as you know me." Which, apparently, wasn't very well at all. She jabbed her index finger into Ott's ribs, but too late. 'EW!' Lettie rubbed her cheek rather roughly and stopped just as it had turned red from the friction.

Now she was getting grumpy too and started to mumble more under her breath. "I should tell my dad about you." She adds with a rather sneaky grin, "I could make some stuff up and could get you into a lot of trouble." Leticia tilted her chin up again, clearly full of herself. 'Daddy will believe anything I say.'

Her mood changed again however as Ott mentioned the exams, "History of Magic? Eck...that subject is so boring. I bet you aced potions though! You were always rather clever in that...I bet I'll do very well in Muggle Studies myself."

Josh sat up and looked at Rose's smiling face seriously ''Of course i'm not okay.'' he complained ''I used to get at least four at home, with other things of course but they were boxes too'' he sighed deeply, however he could not manage to hold his face straight and laughed ''I suppose this place is just not suitable.'' he looked at the box as Rose examined it ''Would you like to have a try?'' he asked looking eager to see.

Ellie made her way to the Food Trolley. Stomping on a stray Chocolate Frog had made her stomach rumble. Sure she had a paper bag of food waiting in her car, but she wanted something that her mum didn't pack. She had saved up for the trolley, having heard great things about the candy.

Such a thing was rare for the country girl, used to home made and simple treats. She stood by and stared, mouth agape, at all the delights. She had no idea where to even begin.

Trying to act pained, it doesn't work, cause he's grinning too much. Though she's mumbling about her father, and telling him about Ott, he grins once again, "I'd like to meet your father. He sounds like a nice gentleman."

"Muggle Studies...I thought that was fairly easy, til it came to exchanging money." he groans a little. Biting his tongue, he stops before going any further. "I guess I really do have to buckle down as my father says. With only 2 terms left to go."

Her smile faded when she saw that he looked very serious, but then relaxed when he told his reasons. Rolling her eyes, 'Boys', she smiled again when he laughed. "No, i guess not." she noticed how wobbly it was. She looked at the box when he asked if she wanted to try. It seemed harmless. "Try...bouncing it on my head?"she asked.

Lettie turned to look up at Ott, which didn't seem quite so far away any more. "Ya, right. 'Till you meet him, then he'll be mean and tell you off." A bit of a fib, but it was worth it.

"I should be a pro at money exchange now, after having done it all summer almost. Some of that muggle money is really odd. All those bills made of paper, and the weird shaped coins with lions and birds, and even statues on them...and people's faces. I can't understand why there has to be so many different kinds." Lettie fiddled with one of the larger shells on her necklace for a moment before she felt something slide against her lower calf.
Looking down, Lettie immediately spotted her maine coon cat, who had apperantly been searching for his master for some time. Lettie picked him up and held the feline close. "I think, Ornlu, missed you too." She added a smirk at the end.

"I think I still would enjoy meeting him." he says with a grin. "If I can survive Ornlu here, I think I can survive your father."

Looking down at him, he smiles remembering the mouse. "So did Chester become one of your family?"

Scowling slightly, Lettie took everything with half a heart. "I'm sure you can."

She nodded, "Mhm, he did, he's with my brother. My brother got a job out in Alaska, so that's where he is now. My cousin Felix is out there too, so now they are living in the same apartment, but Felix isn't there a lot since he's gotten a new girlfriend...my family doesn't know much about her, but I'm sure she's nice. And it gives my bro a chance to deal with things himself. Chester has a nice big tank to live in with lots of newspaper and shavings and food and water." Lettie looked at Ornlu for a moment.
"Mom didn't like having a rodent in the house, and when my brother moved out to his new job, he decided to take Chester with him so that I would stop crying to mom about it...he promised he'd take care of him." It was a huge fuss over a little mouse, but Lettie didn't care.
